I wouldn't say it is the FF I grew up with though...

I didn't play FF games when I was in my cot, stacking alphabet cubes, and playing hide and seek with my teddy.

The latest Final Fantasy when I was born was FFIV. I was born in 1992, but I was born before FFV (December 1992) came out.
Since the title is changed, I grew up with FFVIII. It was my first and I spent a long time playing it.
