Been playing this on-and-of, and currently in World 4. It's great, but has still the same little 'niggles' as with the 1st one.
1. No rotating camera, so in certain instances you see a dark outline of Mario or Luigi
2. Swimming and Spring Mario is still horrid
I like the new suits - Cloud and...
Resident Evil 4 - fantastic Wii edition of a classic RE game
Little King's Story - overlooked RTS style game with nice graphics and story
Zack & Wiki - another sadly overlooked puzzle game with great cartoony and hilarous animations
Grand Slam Tennis - good tennis game
Super Mario Galaxy was my 1st ever Mario game - the Wii is the 1st ever Nintendo console I have. I found it to be exceptional, brilliant gameplay and level design. It was my Game of the Year pick of 2007.
I'm getting SMG2 by online order from the UK (hopefully arrive end of this week). Somehow...
The first Splinter Cell was my 1st ever stealth game. I completed Conviction, and found it to be quite good, but SP is much shorter compared to the first three.
You still need to be stealthy, but not as much as previously. You can only kill people, so knocking them out and dragging them in dark...
After I completed the mission 'Wild Horses Tamed Passion', I went back to Armadillo, and tried out lassoing people. In the midst, I accidentally lassoed the Sheriff. He promptly untied himself and started shooting me.
That Dastardly achievement is a great classic Western cliche thing. Anyway...
I just recently completed this. Overall, I found it good, but has some annoyances. The lip-synch is horrible at times. The driving controls aren't that great, the run-dodge is clunky at times. The mini-map is terrible at times, as I got lost on occasion and went over cliffs or crashed into cliff...
Cid Raines - he was such a pain in the ***
Barthandelus no.1 - took me such a long time
Barthandelus no.2 - always took away my buffs
2nd last one - that sword-slam draining away my health
I lose sleep if I don't get 5 stars
;)
Seriously, I never get 5 stars on boss battles. I also don't care much how much stars I get, as long I defeat them and able to continue.
I've pre-ordered a copy. Hope that Rockstar puts in more variety in this one than GTA4. Ended up getting bored by the constant 'go-there-kill-this guy' missions.
Wonder how they will incorporate music in-game? Gramophones?
The method I used for the 2nd encounter is use Fortisol & Aegisol, and when the fight starts switched to Relentless Assault. I pounded away and diminished its HP a good deal. I switched to Solidarity whenever one member HP goes yellow, or Combat Clinic when two goes yellow.
When it took away...
If using Lightning/Hope/Fang then have a Paradigm called Evened Odds, with Light as MED, Hope as SYN, Fang as SAB. Combat Clinic is also necessary, as well as Protection. Start of with Protection, then Evened Odds until get Haste, and switch to Relentless Assault. Switch to Combat Clinic for...
Starring
Lightning – the former Guardian Corps soldier
Snow – the fist-pounding, cocky NORA member
Szah – the one with a Chocobo chick as a pet
Vanille – the ditzy blonde with a dark secret
Hope – the whiny kid
Serah – the crystallised corpse
Fang – the Xena act-a-like
This is...
If you're not at least at 'Role Model' status in level 3, then I suggest to backtrack to the lower levels to get to that.
I use Lightning, Hope, and Fang. I'm at 'Role Model' status for the three main roles for all three characters at level 4.
The Paradigms I used are reading as Lightning...
I first dismissed Dead Space, but later on I gave it a try given it received rave reviews. I really liked it. It gave me a number of jolts.
Now that the sequel is now due early next year, I am really looking forward to it, and will pre-order a 'collectors edition' or whatever it's called when...
