Alternate Roads RP

Yuna came to the center of the village, ready to go. All she head was her staff that her friends found in the Cloister. She did notice that Vesper and Sera talking with each other. Which is unusual, since it took a while for Sera to ever completely another. She did act that way towards Yuna when she came to Besaid ten years ago after all. Yuna walked up to Stephen and asked, "Do you know what they are talking about?"

"Morning guys, hows things with you two?" Stephen asked as he approached Sera and Vesper.

Although it made the conversation more awkward to continue, it was ironic that Sera felt more at ease with Stephen here. More so when Lady Yuna appeared to join the group. When she came, she spoke immediately to Stephen.

Knowing the close relation between the two, Sera merely smiled, and politely waited for Yuna to finish before greeting the two. "Good morning, Stephen, Yuna."

Then glancing over to Vesper, she smiled sheepishly. It was certainly hard to continue the conversation they were having now, to her, at least. "Uh.. Where's Roland?" She asked, as Roland suddenly sprung to mind.

Looking around, she couldn't help noticing Roland's absence.

Vesper noticed the difference in Sera's mood as soon as she talked about her fighting style and remembered hearing something about a female swordsman with that style but threw the thoughts away. Vesper didn't like judging people by titles given to them but what he himself thought. Vesper also noticed that she seemed to relax more around Yuna and Stephan which was interesting and probably meant he hadn't had her trust yet.

"I'm not sure where Roland is, I haven't seen him since last night during the celebrations", Vesper said calmly before joining Sera looking around. "I thought he was in the inn or something as well", Vesper added remembering something about him entering last night.

Stephen looked around, and when he couldn't see roland near by he slid his hands into his pockets and sighed deeply. he felt something in his pocket, a piece of paper. Stephen pulled the piece of paper out and un-folded it, he then began reading out loud.

"Stephen,
I am sorry for my absence, something personal has come up so i have had to leave Besaid without you, do not worry i shall keep up my training to make sure that i am still strong enough to protect Lady Yuna. I am not sure when i shall return, but it shall be before the final battle with Sin. . . I promise.
Roland"

Stephen folded up the piece of paper and passed it to Yuna "Here you go Lady Yuna" Stephen announced "we should head to the boat now, it will leave when we arrive" Stephen announced as he headed out of the village and waited just outside the Entrance.

Sera sighed. It was honestly disappointing to miss out on Roland, especially when he's so defensive of Lady Yuna. It wasn't that she isn't able to protect Lady Yuna, but the fact remains she have to be within melee range to do any damage to the enemies, thus Roland would make the best safeguard.

"Shall we make a move now, Lady Yuna?" Sera asked, looking to the direction of the boat. Yet she remembered the conversation Vesper and her were having before it got interrupted.

Turning to Vesper, she whispered," Hey, we'll continue this on the boat, if you don't mind."

'No doubt, I really should try to know him better.. At least, like how i did, for Stephen.' She thought as she looked back at Yuna for her reply.

Vesper smiled at Sera's comment as it to him showed that she was willing to become friends with time which was nice. Vesper started walking towards Stephan and stopped halfway between him and Lady Yuna. Vesper still had to protect her so he decided to never be to far from her, Vesper was fast and as long as he could see her he figured he could come to her aid before any harm could befall her.

"So then my Lady shell we make our leave for Kilika?" Vesper asked politely.

"All right, let's go." Yuna said, before heading out of the village. She first went to the statue on the cliffs overlooking the village to pray. The statue was built on Besaid some time ago, people had been praying there for a safe trip. After she prayed, they would then head in the direction of the boat. She knew that she would be safe in the hands of her guardians, yet she would help them out with her White Magic in case of an emergency.

Stephen followed Yuna to the statue and began watching her pray. he on the other hand had already done his praying last night, he wasn't going to get onto his knee's for a lump of carved stone, he thought that rediculous. as he stood and waited for Yuna to finish praying he watched about and saw a cayote charging towards them.

This brought a smile to Stephen's face, he un-sheathed the caladbolg and charged at the Cayote, as he came into range the fiend tried to bite Stephen, but missed, a Stephen jumped over it's head, as he came over the beast he flipped in the air and as he came down behind it, he slashed at the fiend taking off it's hind legs, Stephen then ran his sword through the fiends head, killing it.

OOC: Everybody, this is a chance for you to take down one of your favoured foes, so Please do. it also gives you a chance to demonstrate your fighting styles and skills if you really want to.

Vesper watched as Stephan took his foe down making smile slightly, it was an impressive movement and now Vesper wanted to have some fun and fight. Vesper drew his weapon and set off faster than the rest of the group but making sure he was still within sight of the group. Although what came out wasn't what Vesper expected, a large Zu flew from over the trees to Vesper's left and landed in front of him looking ready to block anyone who came at it.

"Alright then big fella, lets see what you got", Vesper said with a smirk before he approached the Zu causing it to start flying over him, a second latter it dove down at him. Vesper rolled to the right and used them momentum to swing his scythe up in an arc cutting the chest of the Zu open from its belly to its neck. Vesper then jump sideways again as the creature dropped to the ground in pain and took a snap at him. Vesper smaked the Zu across the face with the shaft of his scythe to stop the bite and finished by bring his weapon down just behind his head killing it.

-= Boat Besaid - Kilika = -

While the boat was arriving Besaid Island, Davius was locked up on his cabin, looking for Yevons manuscripts, searching for the origin of Sin and a way to defeat him. After the boat stopped completly, Davius got out of his cabin and directed himself towards the outdoor, needing for a new fresh air.

-= Besaid "Docks" = -

The sun's brightness made Davius blink several times, until he could see clearly the location he was. The "dock" was made of wood and it was near a beach. Some fishermen were also in the "dock" trying their luck.

Davius got out of the boat and stretched his arms and legs, due to the long journey. He quickly moved himself near an elder women near him.

Davius: "Sorry but, could you please tell me where am i?"

Elder: "Besaid Island."

Davius: "Thank you."

Davius then took his Broadsword out and cleaned it a bit. Being unused by sometime, made it get a thin layer of dust. Davius cleaned it quickly and waited for all the "new" passangers to enter the boat.

Sera wasn't planning on letting down either, running past Stephan and Vesper, she met her opponent, incidentally her favorite one too- a Flan. 'Unlucky fellow.' She sighed as she thought.

Unsheathing her blade, she didn't slow down and merely charged forward. When she came into a close enough distance, she leapt forward, swinging her blade with all her strength, merely stunning the Flan slightly. However, that wasn't the main attack.

The real attack lied in her Black Magic. 'Too late.' She thought as she released a Thunder spell on the Flan, killing it in one strike. Then, sheathing her blade, she heaved a sigh as she waited for the group to come closer.

After Yuna finished praying, she said, "Ok, I'm ready." Before heading off to the boat. She did notice that they were testing their abilities while she was praying, but it did not matter. The gang would take the overland path to the beach, walking through the ruins, what was left of Machina in Besaid. A testiment to Sin's wrath. After making their way through bridges and small cliffs, they finally made it to the beach, where the ship was docked on the other side. Walking to the boat, she saw a crowd of people gathering around there, wishing Yuna and her guardians a safe trip. People were happy, or crying for her. But eventually she climbed onto the boat.

As lady Yuna boarded the ship so did Vesper and once on bored he jumped onto the rail on the side and hang his legs over the edge and waved in a friendly way to the people. This place is nice and peaceful, Vesper thought, if I were to settle down and live peacefully this would be where I would live my life out. Vesper liked the calmness of the place and the calmness of the people it was nice. From Vespers view point he could see the entire crowd including an armed individual at the back Vesper watched him like a hawk as he was very suspicious.

-= Besaid - Kilika Boat = -

As the crowd gathered more and more around theb boat's entrance, Davius spoted a young girl entering the boat itself, followed by a group of people. Davius thought that was this Isla Summoner and her guardians.

After polishing his broadsword, he quickly sthealth it away and neared the boat entrance. He could see some of many traits. A Summoner. If there was only an alternative.

Stephen followed the others onto the boat and strode down to the front, he stood looking out over the sea "and so it begins, again" Stephen muttered as he rested his hand onto the handle of the Caladbolg. he spun around and looked down towards Yuna and Vesper "Hey guys, can you see the others?" he asked as he walked towards the cabin of the boat "I'll be downstairs if I'm needed" Stephen announced as he headed down the stairs.

As Stephan passed Vesper he turned around and said something clearly so he alone could here.

"I'm not sure if I'm being overly suspicious but there's an armed man in the crowd who's keeping an eye on Lady Yuna. I'm not sure if hes hostile but it would be a good idea to keep your guard up", Vesper turned back as soon as he had finished this and continued waving and smiling at children as if nothing had been said.

Stephen stopped dead in his tracks as he heard Vesper's comment about the armed man in the crowd, he then turned to Yuna and smiled "you know what, i think it would be best if i kept our young summoner here company" he announced in a friendly voice as he turned and headed back towards the top of the boat, as he walked past Vesper he stooped momentarily and whispered "Thanks for the heads up mate" in Vesper's ear, so only Vesper would be able to hear him.

Sera wasn't paying much attention to the two as they spoke. For some reason, she particularly enjoyed being on the boat. The wind blew on her gently, lifting her moods somehow. It felt weird, but it certainly made her feel great.

Walking over to the middle of the deck, she tried very hard to suppress her excitement, after all, she had to admit- she loved traveling by sea. Glancing about, she went over to the side of the boat, looking at the seemingly endless sea.

It certainly looked calm and peaceful. 'I hope today will continue being great..!' She thought as she watched the sea serenely.

Ariana followed the others onto the boat and stood there, letting the breeze ruffle her hair playfully, breathing it in.
"Ah." She sighed happily. Maybe this was exactly what she needed; a brand new life always on the move.
She almost laughed at the thought. Like that would happen...

"I don't trust him... He seemed all too eager to join us... I'll have to think of something fast... Maybe if I go on ahead, I can find out something... I'm sure the others can guard Yuna from fiends as well as him..." going to the item shop he gathered all the potions he could carry before waiting outside for nighttime, he then looked on, keeping his eyes on Vesper, when everyone had gone to the inn to sleep he gathered his things, wrote a note of goodbye to Stephen and left the village. Under cover of darkness the fiends should cause him little bother. Quickly dashing along the paths it remained silent until he was met by a flock of bird fiends on the waterfall, pincering him on the waterfall bridge. "You won't slow me down!" drawing an arrow he quickly fired an arrow, shooting one of them down instantly. "Who's next?" three of them charged at him at this point, drawing another arrow he impaled the first bird and fired the arrow at the second, he then turned around and kicked the bird squarely in the face. At this point the birds retreated, fleeing the scene and leaving Roland alone. Roland then left the scene and quickly reached Besaid Beach.

Spotting a small boat on the end of the ship that would take everyone else the next day he unhooked it without being spotted or heard, and after grabbing the oars he quickly rowed off.

Kilika: Morning

That morning, Roland reached Kilika, the ilsand was hot all day long and his aching body had taken a beating from all night rowing, he had a bad feeling though and didn't want to rest just yet. Wanting to gather his thoughts on the situation, he proceeded to the Kilika Wood, the area was a lot more silent than Kilika and sufficiently cooler than the village. Walking through it he could hear birdsong in the trees, while relaxing to this he began to think, would Yuna be safe? Would he find anything out about Vesper? Could he survive against fiends on his own? Before he could think more on such things he heard a strange screeching sound from somewhere, grabbing an arrow and hooking it onto his bow he looked around cautiously, seeing if it was a fiend of some kind.
