Did you miss leveling?

I loved the sphere grid, I remember making Yuna and Auron into indestructible tanks, both able to kill any fiend with one blow. However this actually did not take away from the individuality of other characters, only much much later in the game did you have a chance to really create a hellish party.

So yeah if they bring back the sphere grid I would be very happy.

I like the sphere grid, but because of it deducing the strength (power etc) of a character is harder than it is in other FF games.

What I mean by strength/power is the effectiveness of the characters.

i no they stuffed it up a fair bit i miss the leveling so much but like in ffxii dey have the licence grid wich is kinda like sphere grid but u can still level up thats what ffx should b like ^_^

Not really. I loved the sphere grib turning who ever you wont into what u wont!

I remember making Rikku and Kimahri as a theif. Lulu and Yuna White/Black mage. Wakka, Auron and Tidus where my tanks ;).

Nah, I had no problem with that. I really liked the Sphere Grid which is one of the better systems in the series. IMO. It felt like FFXII was trying to make some resemblence to it, but failed.

I liked that it was huge, and that you were able to chose a different path for everyone. It was also my first FF game I played, so I probably hold some kind of "special love" towards it.

to be honest i prefer the leveling mode isted of the sqhere grid, but i can see the logic in it, so you dont have to be a certain level to get a skill you need a certin stone, but i think this is where they got the idea for 12 with the licences

I fell in love with the Final Fantasy Sphere Grid system.
it was easier for me
and you could actually control what kind of charecters you were going for.

Leveling was great and all
but final fantasy x was a step up.

Yeah leveling always did give that clear feeling of acomplishment, that is kind of lacking on the sphere grid in the begining, what with the low bonus and the 1-2 levels that you sometimes get where you move but don t actualy get near a filled nod so you can activate it (Specialy in Auron's part of the grid, though he did get bigger bonuses in the nods he did get so it evens out in the end I think, just annoying in some parts :S ) but after awhile it starts to pickup speed and you can really feel the bonus coming in, all in I felt it was a rather more interesting system than simple leveling, much more potencial for customisation.

The sphere grid was defiantly unique, which I did like. I also liked how you could take your character in so many different directions, lot of variety and you could play the game over and over and come up with something different.

The Sphere grid was the most imaginative and fun-to-use level-up system, if you ask me. You could build up your characters like you wanted and without the annoying "Shopping for skills" system of XII.

I love the sphere grid, really like being able to customize my characters to my own tastes.

Never moved with just one sphere level though, used to wait until the level was around 10 or so, so I could move round alot more and upgrade a few things at once, opposed to just one or two.

I completely miss it at the minute since I cant find the blasted disk anywhere!
I really love moving around the sphere grid... I really have the urge to turn my room upside down just to find it, but unfortunately I'm at school at the minute. T_T

I actually liked the way it didn't show the levels. It kept me playing and replaying the game, really. Seeing a level 99 Zell made me think I had achieved the total amount I could get. In X there are endless possibilites as to getting better and better. So, It did not really bother me.

i suppose thats an up but i used to miss bragging to my friends... "yeah so im level 99 what are you?"

Well, you can always say stuff like...

"My Tidus has Holy and Dark Buster"

Things of that sort. lol. Not as effective but still...

....*cough*
Well, yeah I did kinda miss leveling up to actually have some kind of small improvement after every battle. To me it really got annoying that for one to 'train' one had to actually go around fighting battles to go on a grid, to me it wasn't even real experience =/
I suppose it was kinda smart in the way that eventually every character would have everything there is making them Godly but still.

i kinda missed the leveling cuz im always so happy when i see how high my lv is like yay lv73 yuffie or lv 77 yuna or somrthing like that but the one they used for ffx was good to since i could actually choose which stats i wanted to increase
