More characters from the FF's VI to XIII would be great.......they better not spam antiquated characters on this game, I'll say it again the Assist system looks great.

I agree, the antiquated characters are a little off putting to be honest. I'm hoping less of them show up in the future. The more contemporary or even post-modern characters really do well for the match up but protagonists like Zidane make me avoid an installment. I know literally NOTHING about FF9 except the characters look like munchkin victorian sayains from DBZ.

I was reading a Japanese site.....who is Julio Neal? They said its a character :O Is it Lightning?

I think you mean Frionel, it's what we call Firion in the Japanese One. I suppose you could spell it Julio Neal if you want him to be Mexican or something :hmmm:

EDIT: we use the letter or 'fu', but some can pronounce it as 'hu', so hurionel is still saying it right. just thought I'd add this to make it clearer.

Thanks for posting the trailer.

I'm still uncertain who that girl is, though it definitely is female now, and those wing things are definitely on her back... Which is odd. It's not a freaky magic spell either. It's a part of her costume.

Perhaps it is just an alternate costume for Terra, or is Celes after all. Honestly though, which FF character has large triangular / tooth shaped blue earrings, and a wing on her back?


Anyway... According to FF Wikia Vayne Solidor has been confirmed, due to Elijah Alexander's Twitter (the guy who voices Vayne I think). Sky Fortress Bahamut has also apparently been announced as another stage.
 
Oh cool so we got another FF XII villian. Eh never finished XII so I would not know about Vayne Solidor much. Ill just keep my fingers crossed for Balthier or Ashe as the hero or perhaps even Basch :hmmm:
 
Hm. I'm too lazy to read this thread from the first page up to this latest one- 25th. But cool. The idea of being able to play Lightning in the game just hypes me up. :D It would be nice if Tifa Lockhart could come in as well... But nevertheless, my guess is that Vincent Valentine would be there instead... Or is he already confirmed?

Tifa Lockhart has already been confirmed. Somewhere in the last 5 pages of this thread or so. XD so Your hopes just went up.

No Vincent, but yes for Tifa. Tifa has indeed been confirmed. :D

To summarise for you... So far we have...

New Characters:
Lightning
Kain
Tifa
Vayne

New Stages:
Orphan's Cradle
Sky Fortress Bahamut



There are other things in the trailer that we can see but cannot make sense of yet. There is a shirtless Tidus, and there is also a young woman with wings who we can't decide on an identity for.
 
So... Tifa doesn't know who Sephiroth is. :hmmm: Weird. What does that mean exactly? That she can also not know of Cloud and the others?

So confusing.

I hope not. :rage: It'd be awesome to have Seifer as another badguy and then have Irvin or Zell as a goody.

Maybe Vaan will appear in a different game, isn't Ashe supposed to appear in that Fortress game or something? :hmmm:

I would have thought they would have had either Balthier or Basch paired with Ashe if they added people from XII. Not Vaan D=
