Fan Fiction Dissidia 012 Discussion

I'm kinda thinking they're just gonna add those few ones and that's it. I can't see them making many new stages although it would be nice.

I'd much prefer a larger roster over more stages though, so if we get more characters and less stages that's fine with me.
A stage for each second one would probably do though, maybe.

It depends what stages they are?

If they make expansive "hall" like stages that would be great with different obstacles and such, I dont really like the"tower" type of level, if they fixed the camera to follow your opponent to any hight, also the Omega variation should get heevho , in place of different levels instead ofthe same level with a twist.

The lifstream level needs to be adjusted so its considered a "hall"or field level, fighting in there with One Winged Angel blearing.........brilliant.

Holy mother effing crap that could be good!

I don't see why people are so set on the idea of there being 2 villains for each story. I honestly can't see it happening. The reason is because of the simple fact that Nomura said himself, due to the UMD, they are limited, so to expect a new villain in each game is totally impractical. It is very possible, don't get me wrong, but I don't even know why the adding of new good guys would lead to the inference of multiple bad guys.

Just wanted to tell you not to get your hopes up :hmph:

You raise a good point, I certainly hope this isn't going to be a PSPGo! only title because of size limitations. :ffs:
I can't see them doing that, but you never know what they'll do to get you buying new consoles these days.

Well....the NA site has been update/revealed (?)....
http://release.square-enix.com/na/2010/09/21_01.html

It does say its coming out in spring 2011 for us, so it will be a worldwide release. :D

EDIT:

---->

so, according to the translation on a recent article in Famitsu, Nomura has, apparently, confirmed that there will be more "elements" for download, as stated on this page:

http://www.andriasang.com/e/blog/201...ssidia_spring/

"This time, Dissidia is full of these types of download elements, so look forward to a followup report."

Just one thing to ask but will it have online play? Is that what SE means by improved multiplayer? It should have online by default. Bu I just imagine we will need to use ad-hoc party. :hmmm:

Ya know what would be cool? Have team fights. 3 n each team, the same arena, the same time, fight. No set match, you could team up on one person if you like. It would also open room for kickass strategy battling.

So we do get a Chaos story to play through? Neat. I would like to play through more than one, but here's hoping it's an interesting one. For some reason I don't think it's gonna be a Chaos Warrior from the first game, but a new one in Duodecim. I'm putting money on Kain because internal conflict and wavering allegiance is win :wacky:

As for DLC, guess I was right in expecting it, although that doesn't make me happy. Much rather have that on the game disc, but if it's cheap, I might get it if I want it bad enough. Although what DLC will be exactly I'm not sure. I assumed it's extra characters, but if there's a potential future for a Dissidia series, it's unlikely :hmmm:

Regardless, I really am looking forward to the game. Here's hoping it does come out in Spring :jess:

If they know what's good for them money-wise, they'd include online play without ad-hoc for those who don't own a PS3.

I never got to play mine online because of that. I got all hyped over nothing :(

I think making it a prequel makes MUCH more sense than making it a sequel. The War had repeated itself over and over, with the Warriors of Cosmos failing. At the beginning of the game, the Narrator tells the story of the war..

The part bolded there. If the warriors for light have fallen one by one... then in Duodecim, you have the cast of the first game, plus the new characters. Suppose they are who is left after the 11th War. Then, when the 12th War ended, we had the cast of Dissidia. I think it started off, with the very first war, EVERYONE was there. With each passing war, the numbers on either side dwindled, until there were but 12 warriors on either side. thus, the final war. Perhaps at the end of each war, the remaining warriors' memories of the war are erased, so that they may continue without feeling the grief of friends lost. Plus, I just had a thought.
Perhaps Cosmos really IS dead. Cid of the Lufaine is only heard from in the secret ending. What if the secret ending occurs between Duodecim and the first game. It would make sense that the imply the war is not yet over, since it is between the games

That wouldn't work, for one I remember Sephiroth saying that he killed himself in a previous cycle, if that's the case then he shouldn't be there now but he is. Secondly this article implies that the Warriors of Chaos were seriously winning yet it is an even 10 on 10 fight in the last war. And thirdly I believe the game's creator's were not planning on making a 2nd game so the secret ending is likely set after the last game to tie up any loose chains in the game's plot.

Um do you mean the Adhoc Mode on your PSP?

It enable you to play your psp games over the internet with your PSN buddies,
I have not downloaded any games from PSN but l think you can also play these games
over the net on your teeny weenie PSP.

Edit: Does it make sense to anyone that I just received 2 Ancient turtle Shells from Jecht ? lol that just seem so natural fo him to carry random large objects.

Okay, maybe it isn't Terra. At least, it looks like Terra, but I've never see that kind of attire before. In some spots it looks like Amano's Magitek version, but maybe its because Nomura sorta "updated" the look a bit. If you look at her other clothes, that's what he did.

Here is a picture again, of Terra's other clothes. You can see the bat/dragon wing, the gloves, the earrings and the hairstyle that matches the screenshots.

But if its not Terra, then it has to be Faris :/

*still convinced its Terra though lol*

Wow. Those are interesting and clearer pictures.

I don't think it is Terra though. The colours on the costume are radically different. She has yellow and red, with little blue stones or studs in them for some reason. I'm scratching my head thinking about this. Her wing also has spots on them, in an Amano style. I think I've seen something like this before, but I can't remember where I have seen this look, and who it belonged to.

It's a safe bet it's Terra. The woman in those screens is using Fire--something Nomura said he updated Terra with--a new fire magic.

So yeah, it's Terra.
:mokken:
Yeah, her clothes and jewelry look just like Terra's in this;

Yea, the coloring is a bit off, but Nomura did that to the rest of her too. Her hair is a little "too" green in Disisida, if you choose to use that version.

He changed Buntz' colours and stuff as well, so I wouldn't really put it pass him to add/change a bit of it. But it does look a lot like Amano's Magitek clothes, except the really, really long and awesome ribbon isn't included. :/

This is true.

She now has a new linking HP attack and a new Fire attack.

*hopes its Terra with Magitek clothing*

I'm not really sure of any other females looking like that associated with fire magic, plus I wouldn't imagine they'll add another female mage character so I'd think it's just Terra.

Though her eyes do seem more open and focused than in the first Dissidia, where she had depressed/sleepy-looking eyes.

But given her hairstyle; the way the front is middle-parted and how the short bits are kind of 'stuck' to her forehead, like in here, plus how the patterns on the wing kind of resembles the pattern on her cape and tights in her default outfit, it's hard to disagree that it's Terra.

I wouldn't think there'd be two people with the exact same hairstye :hmmm:

Yup, has to be Terra.

Jewels on the gloves, weird shield-thingy around her shoulders, pendants holding cape.....

Remember, because this is a sequel, Terra might be on the bad side, meaning she might be controlled by Kefka again. :/
