I guess so.

With topless Tidus it would seem as if some of the new costumes are being invented for this game, due to lack of thinkable alternates.

I think if this is a new look for Terra then it isn't necessarily sticking to anything that we have seen, but is incorporating many elements of Amano's designs for several characters into one. They've just gone crazy on her with an Amano style in mind. I personally think that it is pretty funky, regardless of what / who it is.


Also... A new alternate costume for Cloud has been designed too. I'd post it up for FF Wikia has just deleted it within the last few minutes. :sad2:

It looks ok, but I'm slightly disappointed. I wanted Cloud in drag. :sad2:
 
Having finally watched the trailer properly just now, I am quite impressed with how it's turning out.

It looks like they've added new Hp attacks for every character, including my favourite villain Emperor who has some sort of exploding insignia ground attack (it's called Cage of Melancholia or something, don't know how it'll be translated), so thankfully no more spamming Flares.

Terra's new linking fire Hp attack is simply Firaga. Looks pretty cool, after her ground Fire bravery attack hits, there's a massive Hp attack explosion.

And the assist system looks pretty awesome, the number of combos that can chain from it will be sweet.

Kain might actually be on Chaos' side; he attacks Bartz and Lightning. However he does break up the fight between Cecil and Golbez, and looks towards Golbez upon doing so. I'm guessing he'll start off as a villain, but end up with the heroes (much like in FFIV).

And one interesting scene involving WoL and Lightning, in front of Cosmos:

WoL: You're right, we are going to be defeated *draws sword, points it at Light*
Lightning: *draws sword towards WoL* What are you thinking?
WoL: That is not something you need to know as of this moment

And one speech from The Emperor:

Emperor: There is no one with any memory of battles within the warriors of Cosmos who have continued to taste defeat.

So I suppose Chaos' side wins at the end of this game, and then it leads on to the first Dissidia?


EDIT: Also, I noticed that instead of having simply 9999 under your HP gauge if you have 9999HP, it has 09999 instead in some battles. So there must be a break HP limit thing now.

EDIT2: yep, Garland had 10299HP in one of the battles. Niiiiice.

Well, so far, we have: Amano Cloud, Ac Cloud and FF7 Cloud with the download KH Cloud. :D

According to the Japanese wiki, it is Firaga but there is a part in the Wiki where it states she has a new fire like element, maybe not fire, but it said fire like....

I hope they gave her new moves, or at least a sword. :gasp:

Oh right. I didn't think that it looked much like Amano's Cloud, but that is great if it was. I didn't get a very good look at it, and the guys at FFWikia have since deleted it and I can't see it anywhere else.

Have you got a picture of it?
 
Just saw the trailer up on the Japanese site (S-E's such a tease - they cut off the part when we see Tifa and Sephiroth chat xD). Yep, it's shaping up to be pretty epic.

And lol, I guess that "mystery woman" was Terra after all. I never saw her with bat wings before, so I'm curious about that, but if it's just improvised for the hell of it, then whatever. I think most of the character designs in Dissidia were different from in some way from their original designs anyways. And it does look kewl :lew:

The trailer makes it seem like Kain attacked Bartz when Lightning checked on him, and he seemed to attack her after, so maybe Kain is with the Chaos side? If we're aren't getting at least one new character for each game, I guess they should still try to even if up somehow. So even the baddies who aren't real baddies get their spot with Chaos, like Jecht.

But lol, WoL always has friction with the cool, aloof characters. First Squall, now Lightning? xD

I really hope more characters get leaked soon ♥

That is definitely Amano's look. You can tell by the bit of zebra pattern on the material just sticking out from underneath his shoulder pad, if nothing else.

Well I'm no longer disappointed, though Lady-Cloud would have been seriously amazing.

Yup, definitely Amano's work. He loves those patterns and colors. Which makes him both awesome and unique. lol

Cross-dresser Cloud would have been awesome. Although, I would feel a little uncomfortable since I've seen some fanart that makes him look like a pretty girl. :gonk:

I wonder if the download system will allow downloaded alts for others as well. It would be nice to see more of Buntz' alts, his costumes would be awesome. So would OK. :D
 
I thought I'd list some alts that I'd love to see, though they'll probably not make it.

Warrior of Light - Fighter class, red clothes and hair.

Bartz - His sprite clothes, or perhaps an alternate costume could be Dorgann. They look pretty similar, and likely had similar abilities, though Dorgann has a moustache and would sound very different. It would probably be a bit too weird playing as Dorgann with Bartz' voice, so I doubt that'll happen.

Kefka - His PSX cgi appearance. I loved this appearance. If not this, then I think that his sprite look would be great too.


Erm... That list was rather short. We don't really see the characters in any other costume in these games. Those characters which do have more than one costume (e.g Cloud) have already had their three costumes confirmed. :ness:

I would like to see Fighter, if I'm not mixing these up lol

I thought the CGI version of Kefka in PSX FF6 was the same as the sprite. :gasp:
 
It's different, but they are close to one another.

I'm not too keen on that one myself though. It looks cool, but I can't really see Kefka in it.
 
Oh, I thought they were the same, but one took the privilege (CGI Kefka) of slightly updating it lol

Yea, I'd like to see the sprite form too, that's the best. The other I call "Lettuce Kefka" lol
 
So we get to play the chaos story also? That is interesting SE... I just hope all of them have seperate ones. Much like Dissidia I with the destiny Odysseys. I am not too keen on the idea of a prequel but maybe if it has online play it would be played 24/7. But it is hard to have built in online for psp games. Well let us see shall we? This whole thing is giving me a headache anyway.

2.) His little character artwork is facing towards the left, which is how all the Heroes are facing.

Missing out on the Chaos minions was a bit of a let down........Especially for me Sephiroth, I always wondered where he whisked himself of to when he phazed in that purple glowy thing he did.
 
I think Terra will end up evil this time around, I remember Kefka saying words to the effect of 'you were so much better fighting on our side' during OK's scene, which I think may be referring to this Dissidia.

And WoL clearly hates gunblades, god help Seifer if he gets in xD

But what about the part where he attacked Bartz and Lightning? He's probably evil at first/becomes evil during the story.

I'm sure that not everyone is 'fixed' as being on one side throughout this story. Like BQE said, Terra might be evil (her eyes in her new outfit do look more evil). Plus, what about Golbez? wasn't he supposedly on Cosmos' side before?



And doesn't anyone else find it awesome how you can break your HP limit now in this game? Garland had over 10000hp in one battle in the trailer.

NO god help WOL if Seifer gets in!

I hate WOL, pompous git, I really enjoy whuppin his ass with Sephiroth, Sqaull, Cloud pretty much anyone.........I dont like him or Firion, Bartz OnionKnight, I like there evil counterparts and look forward to continuing the tradition of kickin them around DuoDecim.

Im betting there are consequences in D2, like when you choose option 1 it effects outcome c or b but whatever they decide it will be interesting as always.
 
I am glad they have break HP limits now, I remember thinking on it when playing Dissidia a while back, was in EX mode and dealt 9999+4999, then another 3000+ in EX Burst, very overkill, break HP limit should make things more interesting :monster:
