Fan Fiction Dissidia 012 Discussion

I didn't know they've added break limits. (Unless i've missed a post somewhere)
So HP is a max of 99,999 or what? That'd certainly make things interesting if it was, but I can't see it going that high. It'd be kinda good if it did though.

I think Max HP should stay at 9999, the whole concept of dissidia is 1 or 2 combatants per battle, its not a party vs a boss..........I suppose its not that bigger deal, its not me cup of distilled water though.

They haven't confirmed it or anything, I just saw it in the trailer. There was a little gameplay scene where Garland had over 10000hp, plus if you look carefully at most of the other HP bars it say 09999 instead of 9999 (the first battle scene with Lightning has it, among others).

But like I said, I only discovered it in the TGS trailer (which btw can be seen at http://www.square-enix.co.jp/dissidia_012/ for those who are yet to see it) so whether SE stick with it I don't know. But it'll make things better since there won't be many one-hit kills (brave break + Behemoth or something) now, unless they break damage limit too.

EDIT: Garland's HP is 10299 here, and Lightning's is 08408:

30,000 seems reasonable, 99,999 does sound a little excessive. Yet they may just improve the weapons to an extent that it wouldn't take that long regardless.
We'll have to wait and see I guess, but it'd certainly make things more interesting i'd say. :8F:

If it hits 99999, they should boost the damage limit too, otherwise it'll take an age to win a fight (and imagine if we have a 3 stage battle like Chaos, talk about a bore)

I'd say that's pretty solid evidence, I wonder if they did that to see if people noticed. :8F:

If you really think about it, 20,000 should be enough, or in FF terms; 19,999. I'd be suprised to see anything above 50,000 that's for sure.

I quite like the idea of more hp. It will make the battles more interesting. It would not go above 50000 though. I mean that would take pretty long depending on the strength of the character. Another thing I want to point out is that Terra was very easy to level all the way to 100. Tornado against a level 100 Exdeath. You keep spamming tornado on pandemonium castle and it is possible to level up like crazy when you play against a level 100 exdeath. Was too easy because exdeath gets stuck xD

Someone mentioned the idea of evil Terra...Now I really wanna see that :wacky:

And it would make sense too since she was a "witch" in the beginning of FFVI. That'd be one massive mind-fuck - Kefka and Terra helpin' each other out :lew:

Well at the start of Dissidia isn't she unaware of what she's apparantly already done and Onion Knight knows? Or something.
So in 012 / 12th war etc it may be when all of that happned... I think. :hmmm:
Evil Terra would be interesting though.

Terra's icon also faces towards the left. :wacky: So unless for like.. 5 minutes they're both 'evil' for a tad bit of storyline... they're both ultimately good and on Cosmos' side.

Also mmm shirtless Tidus... :ryan: never get tired of seeing that..

Looks good so far. We need more good VAs like Cecil. Speaking of Cecil, *onoms*

The trailers I watched mainly featured Lightning which annoys me. The designs do as well >_>

And I like Vaan, TYVM. -_-

Nostalgia :ryan:

Yea, I could have sworn I heard in Dissidia, the villains mentioning Terra being on their side at one point. I think it would be awesome to see the evil side of her and how her friends would react, or how she would after.

OK remembered her attacking him in the Dissidia game, Mateus made them all forgot (from what I've gathered him saying) about the previous wars, which would explain him telling Garland that they didn't remember their previous loses. :/

I just want to see evil Terra going after people with extremely high power level, crushing everything. *evil laugh inserted here*

EDIT:
Its officially official. Vaan has been confirmed unless FF12-3 comes out.

I don't love him, but I actually don't dislike Vaan myself, so if he's in it's not an issue for me.

But I'm real curious. I don't know if anyone can confirm this or not, but most S-E games with English voice work is done after Japan get's the release, right? I think FFXIII is the only exception with just it's 3 month post-Japan release meaning English VAs had to be doing lines probably when the Japanese were stilling doing their own.

So if Vaan is actually going to appear in Duodecim, and the ENGLISH VA has done lines for him back in May, is it possible that Duodecim is coming out around Japan's release? O.O

Assuming that tweet is about Duodecim, lol.

From what I can gather it would appear as if the English VO are done already, or are nearly done.

A few English voice actors have confirmed already that they have finished recording their lines. I think that SE is planning to release Dissidia Duodecim overseas at around the same time as in Japan.

The voice actor for Kuja revealed that he'd done his lines a while before Dissidia Duodecim was announced, I believe.

In fact... I just checked FF Wikia. Most of what I read before has gone now due to page restructure, but there is this:

and JD Cullum, Kuja's English voice actor, who offhandedly stated he had recorded his lines for Dissidia 012 in the Summer 2010.[9] Judging from statements by the other voice actors, it appears that the whole English script of Dissidia 012 was recorded at the start of Summer 2010.

So it seems as if most, if not all, of the VO has been done already.

Assuming its a global release because they release the game here in spring of 2011 along with Japan. Nomura said he wanted all his games to be global releases, so its a 99% chance of a global release. :D

Its why all the actors were just recently called in for signing to keep the secret. Tifa and whatshisname didn't know about it until it was too late and they answered the questions lol

So from all the evidence, I can safely say we'll get it the same time Japan does ^,^

Yup, they are done/nearing completion. The actors/actresses were called in for signing. Guess they heard about Tifa's actress spillin' the beans lol

Yup, a global release. We get it when Japan gets it :D

*Is excited. I won't have to wait a whole year! lol*

EDIT:
BIG NEWS! I KNEW NOMURA DID IT!

He had EVERYONE film the voices.

The weather may be bad in Japan, but that won’t stop Tetsuya Nomura from tweeting about another game. Voice work for The 3rd Birthday and Dissidia 012[duodecim]: Final Fantasy is finished.
Nomura moved on to the next game where he’s in the initial character creation stage. One of the key elements for this yet-to-be-reveled game is making these new characters “charming.” Nomura says this gig makes his heart beat fast.

In an earlier tweet also on The 3rd Birthday account, Nomura announced the Square Enix trailers from Tokyo Game Show will be released online, but not right away. After websites are made for each upcoming game, the public will have a chance to see closed and open theater videos.

Its bit behind the discussion...........but that picture has 1 statistical point of order I want to make, on dissidia1 High HP usually is accompanied by high statistical damage, one of the hitr in the Image is a Critical Hit with damage x 3 and the HP presented suggest to me that a Critical hit would be much higher......Im not quite sure what my point is?

If S-E idea of making the HP break the limit and leaving the Damage limit at 9999 this would serve to keep the battles longer.
