Fan Fiction Dissidia 012 Discussion

Olivia what you say is right. Dissidia will be milked sooner or later. Now this can be a game and not an app wow just wow :ffs: Jesus christ cant they just make prologus the beginning beginning if you know what I mean? Then after prologus the true game starts? Would work much better no?
 
I think talks about Gilgamesh will continue until the game is released. Even after the release of the game I reckon people will still talk about Gilgamesh being in the next Dissidia game. He's probably the most wanted character for a Dissidia game, and the creators have expressed interest in using Gilgamesh in Dissidia in the past.

I'm not sure if we're to expect him in this instalment now though. It would be fantastic though.

Oh no....if its another game, it better at least be good. :C Or maybe a PS3 Version of the game with downloadable characters -- all characters :D

But you know it is not needed because of Dissidia Duodecim. Now of it was a port to ps3 than that would be awesome. I really doubt it though. Still the series will still be milked like said above. Ill be surprised if Dissidia becomes a whole series of annoying storylines. That would just be stupid imho.
 
Guys, I think you're missing the big picture here. Dissidia contains 13 Wars, and the creators have expressed an interest in telling each battle's tale and who was involved.. we may see 13 games of Dissidia, alll with sub titles revolving around synonyms for 'beginning' :wacky:

Well if its a "go with the software thing" a Downloadable content addon would make the game even more worth it. Especially if they fit in more characters, maybe even all of the characters. :)

I think they should make it like an eboot or something. Make it so it could switch discs and contain as much as they want into the story and characters....

Yea....but this close to 12? We don't even have much information about this one lol
 
If they plan to release a new Dissidia every year then I'll be quite annoyed. That just isn't enough time to get used to a game. I'd want to be getting the most out of each game and enjoying them thoroughly. I don't want to play it a few times, then when I have the next urge to play it again a new one is out. :sad2:

I hope that D : P isn't a new game itself, or if it is that it is only in ideas stage and planned to be released a long, long way away.
 
Hey, guys--a friend of mine from another forum said they saw a Shonen Jump scan that included a list of characters that have been added to the game;

Quina

she can't remember the other characters but she said she wasn't sure if it was real or not...


Do any of you know of it?
 
^The next Jump comes out on Monday (and it's like 3 or 4am of Monday in Japan at the moment), so not entirely sure if that's true. We'll know by tomorrow afternoon cos FF-Reunion usually uploads these kinds of scans, though nothings been posted there regarding this topic at the moment.

There is going to be a DDFF article in the next (or maybe the one after) issue, but Rydia AND Edward, when there are already 3 FFIV characters? Plus Edward is like the least most popular character ever, I highly doubt he's in (I'll be pretty annoyed if he's in ahead of Gilgamesh).
 
I just don't understand how would Red XIII attacks will fit with the battle system. I mean his attack range will be limited since he only uses his pawns or bite as his weapons. I don't think he will a good playable character, unless they add him only as a assistant.
 
I've heard nothing about that either, Cali. From the sound of it, it's probably just some hearsay or something and without any concrete links on this, I would only approach this with a tiny grain of salt. As well as unlike candidates such as Edward (as Vinnie pointed out, unpopular and useless to a large extent xD), I don't really think that SE will throw in that many new characters in, particularly FFIV characters when there are certainly more popular FFs.
 
Shonen Jump hasn't even come-out yet has it? I thought it came out on Monday or Wednesday or something like that?

I can't imagine playing as Red XIII though, seems like it will be little more than difficult, but if they pull it off it should kick ass.
 
Also, S-E has repeatedly said that the new characters for the game will be in limited number. Haven't said a concrete number yet, but the vague 4-8 bracket they're sticking to already negates the list; including the 3 officially announced for the game, adding on all those character from that list brings the roster counter well over what S-E told us to expect.

Shame though-some names there would have me gushing like mad :lew:

EDIT: Owait, I might be wrong about the "4-8 bracket". I do know for sure they said there won't be a new character for each FF game and that the UMD is supposedly being stretched to the limit with all the stuff they're shoving into it.

If they were all playable characters then that would seriously be to good to be true. I mean SE would be giving us what we want if they gave us all of those characters. :monster:
 
It would be nice if those characters actually tutored you as a comouter though. Not just little images that talk to you. If they were implemented in the game as just tutorial cpu's that would be awesome. Some playable would be nice...

I hope they are playable, and I hope there is still room for Celes or Edgar. :x3:

That's what I think it is too. :hmmm:
I really can't see the bard Edward as a playable character, unless it's the ninja Edward (Edge). Plus, FFIV and VII already have a new character. But it would be nice if some of those characters were playable though, especially Rydia.

If its Edward, it will most like be Edge. But I have a feeling these new characters will be cameos....
