Doctor Who

tom text me and mentioned that it was in london, so it must be that, we've bioth had emails about it so i guess its back on?

theres summat about a convention as well, 100 quid each, hes gunna try get tickets for that on monday...... gunna be skint in the new year

£100 for a convention? :ness:! :rage:! That's very expensive, though I guess it must be one hell of a convention. They'd best actually send you through time for that much money.

I've been to (comic book) conventions before and I've managed to get into them for about £10-£15. I guess Doctor Who must be pricier convention-wise.

As for the Doctor Who Experience... I checked online and it does seem to be back on now. They probably just closed it to update the exhibition. They've now added some more monster models to the exhibition. I imagine that they're probably keeping the Doctor Who Experience open for a while but keep closing it to update it every once in a while.

I haven't sat down and watched a full episode yet but I have seen parts of the newer shows since my mom has started watching it in recent weeks. She became fond of the Doctor that comes right before the guy with the bow tie. She said she was going to stop watching if they're replacing him but I guess the new Doctor must have grown on her because she's still watching.

My mother just can't get over the new guy's bow tie apparently...

We got tickets lol, fucking ot cheap, and we're gunna have to stay over... but still, im sure it'll be ace... better had be for all that cash :rage:

:hmmm: Depends. It'll probably be good, but which Doctor would they use? It would be weird if they had a different actor playing as Eleven or something :hmmm: Unless they change their minds halfway through and use it to start off when Eleven regenerates after the next season or something.

Ooh gosh I forgot about the Christmas special! I can't wait! Matt Smith is just fantastic. :jess: The first clip is rather funny. :lew: The little brother looks like the child of Ron Weasley and Harry Potter though...

Edit: Just looked back on the previous page. There's going to be a movie?
The last two Harry Potter films were very well directed so here's hoping the movie will turn out well! :)

Doctor Who executive producer and head writer Steven Moffat announced this week that stars Karen Gillan and Arthur Darvill, who play Amy and Rory on the long-running sci-fi series, will be exiting the show in the next series. “I’m not telling you when and I’m certainly not telling you how, but that story is going to come to a heartbreaking end,” he said. Moffat also promised that the Doctor (Matt Smith) would be meeting “a new friend” in coming episodes, though he declined to mention anything about “he, she, or it.”

Gillan and Darvill have been with the series since the start of Smith’s run as the Eleventh Doctor in 2010. Feel free to share your favorite memories of the couple — or, alternatively, your rants about why you’re thrilled they’re gone — in the comments.

not very surprising i don't think. i'm a little surprised that they'll be featuring prominently in series 7, i was expecting to see them in maybe two or three episodes. i suppose 'a heartbreaking end' implies either one or both of them will die.

Currently watching an older christmas one with the fiance... The End Of Time Part 1. I like this episode, haven't seen it in so long :') Good times.

I'm kind of glad Amy and Rory will be leaving. I like them as characters, but I thin Moffat milked them a bit too much. Especially that girl who waited stuff. That was alright, but it just got a bit old after the 5th series :hmmm: Though I will miss Rory more than Amy.

I prefer Rory as well, he just is more relatable to me than Amy. I haven't been following DW much recently... I kind of lost interest. xD

rory is definitely the better of the two, but without amy, rory wouldn't be anything because it's the way that he always puts amy over everything else that makes him interesting

This is my latest contribution to this thread:

Anyway, it sucks Amy and Rory are leaving but also good. Rory is a great character as is Amy (and fucking hot) but it'll be good to have some fresh faces. Doctor who gets boring if its the same people for too long, which is one of the only things that annoyed me when RTD was running the show.

Godamn I'm going to miss Amy. There better be someone equally as easy to the eye to take her place. :hmmm:

i thought this year's christmas special was rather forgetable. the basic story that gets used for episodes like that is getting quite worn out now i think.
i did like the last couple of minutes, for a bit of continuing story line with amy and rory, and i thought it had potential to be a really emotional reunion.

karen gillan looked ridiculously fit in it :ohoho:
