Escaflowne

Cafeteria: 6:00 ~ 8:00

While her friends were out dealing with the Orion business, Escaflowne was being true to herself and loafing off in the cafeteria. The boy that bounded over her table made Escaflone frown for a secoond before she pushed it out of her head. She'll deal with it later if she was feeling nit picky and mean. The white blazer hanging off her shoulders were garnering glances from the tables around her own one, but she didnt care. With burger in one hand, a coke in the other, Escaflowne kicked back and relaxed. It was the first day, so there was really nothing to sweat about.

Now there is a group that's all wound up.

From the entrance, a group of students marched in. Two bearing the Yellow DisCo blazer, a tall silver haired girl (are you wearing the blazer too Pandora?) and oddly, a red Sect student. The midget carrying two large weapons, she recognised. The small girl is almost the opposite end of the scale to herself, serious to a T and extremely hard working. While Escaflowne can be the same, her choice of not doing so separates them. Otherwise they both would be rather similar type of person. After all, Esacflowne was well aware of the "other" side that Delijah tries to hide.

Meh. Doesnt concern me.... maybe a few more minutes and i should hit the training room.....

Her chair squeaked backwards as it balanced on its hind two legs before she crossed her leg on the seat. All that held her up was her balance, and it was perfect. The chair did not waver a millimeter.

Delijah

Cafeteria: 6:00 ~ 8:00

Alyss, Nova, Horatio

Delijah was delighted that Bartholomew took the initiative and managed to snag them a big table with two spare chairs. That way, if the other two decided to pop in, they'd have JUST enough seats for the entire committee plus Alyss. Now not having to worry about seats and tables, Delijah walked straight towards the line, managing to queue up into the shortest and before long, she was face to face with a familiar face, the kindly lunch ladies

Ah, Delijah! How good to see you! How was your holiday?

It was good. Thank you for asking. I'm just glad you guys are alright after the attack.

Ha! Those Daiga students can come in and have a try in messing up our kitchen. We'll give them a piece of our mind.

So, how bout a Delijah special for tonight? As a welcome back gift?

The lunch ladies were the only ones Delijah was comfortable with actually letting them know of what she always hid. They were kind of like the maids from her house and gave off a warm fuzzy feeling.

Well, im eating with the other committee members, so better not. Ill come back down later tho tonight and grab it as a midnight snack though. Can i do that?

Sure. Whatever you want. In that case, here is a serious and mature grilled salmon fillet and mash potatoes.

Thank you.

Plate in one hand, weapons in other, Delijah hummed a happy tune until she reached back to the DisCo table, where she abruptly stopped.
There, she saw Alyss sitting down, which was okay. They were eating together. However, also on the table was Ms Nova Carmine and
Horatio Nelson Charles the Third
, a .... new teacher, or so her dossier said. This put a pickle in her plan. To be honest, it was to be a private dinner between DisCo members for the new members and Alyss... well, something about her made it feel okay to have her along. However, two teachers were different. As much as they had power, teachers often make it uncomfortable to converse freely. In a sense, its like having a tax auditor hovering over you as you did your accounts.

Great....this is going to be fun.

Hello Ms Carmine.... Mr Charles. I do hope you realise that when a sign stating reservation has been put up, its not there for decorations. As a matter of fact, we had organised just enough seats.

Placing her tray down and sitting across from Alyss, Delijah continued.

However, it seems that two of our members might be late, so there isnt an issue. If they do arrive, I will have to ask you to vacate the seats for them.

Her voice was level, cordial, professional. There was no need to get nasty, but Delijah had to tell her what had to be said, that the DisCo was there first at the table and should Veerle and Athena come, they'd get priority. To top it all off, the tension in the air was probably making Alyss uncomfortable. Eating with teachers often made a not -so-casual mood.

OOC: Just to keep the conversation rolling

Maya

Cafeteria: 6:00 ~ 8:00

Eluniel

"Ah, no... I won't mind you playing those guitars. Perhaps the greater concern would be our other two roommates."

Subarashii ne! That's great. All i have to do is find and ask the other two girls.

By now, Maya had pretty much finished her sandwich. She saw a bunch of students walk in, some bearing yellow blazers of the DisCo. That meant that they must be important. Of the people she saw, the small girl with the Chinese looking clothes looked definitely out place, but what she found odd was that she walked around carrying two weapons. It kind of reminded her of how she first met Ms Veerle. That was definitely intimidating. Involuntarily, she gave a slight shiver from memory of the first mission. The group was gossip material though.

Ne, hey, whats with the little girl in the yellow blazer? I know the blazer means they're in the DisCo, but if you compare her with the tall ginpatsu... i mean silver haired girl and the glasses boy, dont you think she's... out of place?

Just as Prince Nelson was about to make introductions when a second member of the discom, he presumed, showed up.

“Excuse me, but I do believe some introductions are in order, milady. It is my pleasure to introduce Miss Nova Carmine, Teacher of Combat Theory at the academy. I am Prince Horatio Nelson Charles the Third.” He mentally said in his “BBC perfect” British adding only a little emphasis on the word prince. “And I will be teaching “Study and cultivation of conventional abilities” whatever that means… I do hope you will not take our presence here amiss, but as you see the dining hall is rather crowded and we just wanted to meet the people who would be helping us “keep the peace” if you will.” He said with a quick check to his –now laminated- class schedule and curriculum. Turning towards the later arriving one of the pair “I am so very grateful for your willingness to share your space with us. I am quite sure we can work something out when the other members show up.”

Now if I might be so bold as to pre-empt the obvious questions. Yes, I am an octopus, Yes I really am a prince, Yes, my father is “the king” of the Irish Sea, and in case you haven’t yet noticed I am terribly sorry for projecting my voice into your mind but as I lack functional vocal cords it is more or less the only way we can have some civil dinner conversation. Ooh, and on a more personal note, I prefer Prince Nelson if it’s not to inconvenient Prince Charles is somewhat of a twat, if you will pardon my language. I would not use profanity in the presence of a lady but you have me at a disadvantage, who do I have the pleasure of addressing?” Prince Nelson said in the prefect clipped accent of the Upper class, a look of calm beneath his bowler hat, monocle and pipe stuck into the gills changing to somewhat like jovial puzzlement towards the end of his speech. “Could we perhaps repay you for your hospitality by buying a round of drinks for you and your friends when they arrive?”

Grigory looked at the guy who had just landed in his room. He stared at him for a moment then up at where he'd come in before looking once again at the floor. He pulled a toothpick from his pocket, biting it between his teeth and moving it around his mouth for a while.

'Well, at least the wall's not broken.'

He walked forwards and leant against the bottom of the bed, once again he moved the toothpick around as if thinking or emulating the cow from magic roundabout. He sighed heavily.

'Eithewr you're trying to perv, in which case you picked the wrong room for that kind of crap, or you're a bit of a clumsy git. Either way I suggest you try not to take shortcuts through my room again....ever.'

Although he couldn't even hear his own voice over the music he took an educated guess that whoever this guy was, albeit fully unscathed, thought he was in some pain. He turned off his ipod and pulled the earphones out, throwing it down onto the bed and taking off his blazer. He haphazardly threw it across the room, causing it to sprawl messily across the chest of drawers. He stretched and looked down at the guy once again. Well, at least it's not Seb. That would be a little too creepy for Grigory's liking but this wasn't much better. He walked over and gently kicked the guy, hands in pockets.

'Get your clumsy ass up off the floor for christ's sake. You're fine, and more importantly the wall seems to be.'

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Meanwhile, Seb was wondering where Grigory had gone. He sat there, camera dangling around his wrist, munching a sandwich happily. He didn't seem at all bothered by anything at the moment, as far as he was concerned it was just like any other day at a normal school. He looked around at the people talking and eating. He could have sworn he'd seen a cat somewhere. He liked cats but thought this one looked a little mangey so he didn't fancy going to look for it to pet. He finished his food and went off, silently leaving the cafeteria and wandered aimlessly around the buildings for a while.

He wasn't ready to go back to his rom. Maybe he'd go and pick a class to try for, he'd always wanted to be a fighter like his favourite characters in Dragonball Z and Street Fighter. Or maybe he'd try and become the next super stealthy ninja. He smiled to himself and decided he'd try for a combat theory class. He assumed it was better to know about the combat before trying to train at it. He was so excited that he just wanted the next day to come along

Vale felt light kicks against his side as he opened his eyes, "Ouch.." He muttered.

'Get your clumsy ass up off the floor for christ's sake. You're fine, and more importantly the wall seems to be.'

"Well, thanks for the worries." Vale answered a bit biting, as he completely opened his eyes and saw a older-than-he-should-look-face, "Oh I'm sorry.." He said as he realized he ended up on the wrong place, again.. He then quickly napped the toothpick out of the man's mouth and then jumped up by setting his back off from the floor, as he threw the toothpick on the floor. "I'm sorry for interrupting ummm, your silence? But-" He began as he stopped and started looking around slightly paraniod. He then started walking around trying to find something, "Where's he.." He asked more to himself than to the man who didn't really seem interested in his whole scene that he 'played' here. "He must have disappeared again!" Vale stated ultimately after a few moments of searching. "Oh sorry," He said as he faced the man again.

"My name's Vale Breeze, and I'm going to be the champ 'round here!" He introduced himself like that, as he noticed a pack of toothpicks in his pocket and swiftly took one before the man could retalitate, and took it in his mouth, leaving it sticking out, pretty much imitating the man for his laughs. "What's yours?" He asked, as he stook out his left hand and then set the toothpick on fire, causing the toothpick to burn away fairly quickly.

Grigory glared at the guy who'd stolen his toothpick. He slowly took the last toothpick out of his pocket and placed it in his mouth, rolling it around again. He watched Vale going around apparently looking for someone. Mad as a bag of rabbits in a river and where did he get off throwing and stealing his toothpicks. this person so hfar had not scored any brownie points so far and if he carried on the way he was going Grigory didn't really need to think twice about looking to injure him.

'Do that once more and I'll break those damn fingers. Lets see you snatch them then.'

He pointed threateningly at Vale for a moment before relaxing a little. He rubbed his eyes for a moment then looked back at the pacing person, he reached forwards and shook the guy's hand, his expression barely flickering as Vale's toothpick burnt up.

'Mind telling me what you're doing in my room and what the hell you're looking for exactly? Do champs often make idiots of themselves cos so far you're just reminding me of a bad X-man who didn't make the cut for the team.'

'Do that once more and I'll break those damn fingers. Lets see you snatch them then.'

"Ummm, ok." Vale replied, noticing that he pushed his limits severaly with this guy. However, the guy did shake his hand, so he wasn't all unfriendliness.. Right?

'Mind telling me what you're doing in my room and what the hell you're looking for exactly? Do champs often make idiots of themselves cos so far you're just reminding me of a bad X-man who didn't make the cut for the team.'

"Well, I wanted to get quickly from the roof to my dorm-thing." Vale began, still wondering what the hell a dorm is, as he scratched his head swiftly. "And I ended up here by accident." He said as he laughed, but quickly stopped. "What I'm looking for is.. Not important." He stated, first thinking of saying it, but then just didn't. He didn't even listen to the last part of what he said, "I still haven't got your name. Or should I call you: Guy with no name, GWNN for short" He said, "But I'm pushing my limits now, so maybe I should go." Vale added as he walked towards the door and opened it, as he started thinking where to go now, as he noticed he now was hungry. "You know where the cafetaria is?" Vale asked, expecting no answer, so he just walked to the right.

Grigory ran a hand across his face and turned, his gaze followingVale as he walked to the door. He smiled as friendlyish as he could through gritted teeth.

'The cafeteria is out the dorm and then keep going, waaaaay way away from here. It's probably the most packed building here right now. And I'm Grigory. As you may have guessed...' he looked around for a moment '...this is my room, so if you could shift off and leave me be like a 'champ...' he mockingly danced about like a boxer for a moment '... that would be great. Bye now.'

He walked to the door, closing it and pushing Vale out of the room before he'd even left properly. The wood came flush with the door frame and there was a click as the latch closed it fast. Grigory sighed and lowered his head, could this day be filled with any more annoying idiots than it already had been? First Seb and now this whacko, what were things coming to. These were the sort of people that had powers? Really? He shook his head, stepped towards his bed and jumped, turning in mid air and landing on the matress. He rested his hands behind his head and stared at the ceiling for a moment. First day and he already remember why he hated this place. He sighed once more and turned onto his side, closing his eyes to try and get some sleep.

Alyss noticed that Delijah had returned before Alyss had gotten her question answered. It also seemed as if she wasn’t very pleased about the situation either. As if to confirm Alyss’ suspicions, she began speaking. “Hello Ms. Carmine… Mr. Charles. I do hope you realize that when a sigh stating reservation has been put up, it’s not there for decorations. As a matter of fact, we had organized just enough seats.” Alyss had admired that Delijah was not afraid to speak her mind; she admired people like that. Placing her tray down directly across Alyss, Delijah sat down and continued speaking.

“However, it seems that two of our members might be late, so there isn’t an issue. If they do arrive, I Will have to ask you to vacate the seats for them.” Her town was direct and to the point. However, it was also professional. It was something Alyss could never pull off in a million years, being as shy and timid as she was. I do hope the other two make it here soon… Alyss thought. I was hoping for a casual meal with potential new friends… not an uptight meal with a rude teacher and an octopus.

Alyss couldn’t help but continue fidgeting her fingers around more. She was really nervous when she was around people she considered to be her superiors, as well as new people in general. The fact that they were both made an already nervous Alyss, even more nervous. As she sat there playing with her fingers and waiting for the others to arrive and wishing the teacher and her pet would leave, a voice broke out into her mind.

“Excuse me, but I do believe some introductions are in order, milady. It is my pleasure to introduce Miss Nova Carmine, Teacher of Combat Theory at the academy. I am Prince Horatio Nelson Charles the Third.” He said. His “accent” was British, much like her own. However, Alyss was shocked to see that Nova was saying nothing, so the only logical place the voice could be coming from was… the octopus. Oh no… Alyss thought. Suddenly, things have gone from bad, to worse. Not only was his name a mouthful, it seemed he loved to hear himself speak.

And I will be teaching ‘Study and Cultivation of Conventional Abilities’, whatever that means…” He continued. Alyss quickly made a mental note to not take his class. “I do hope you will not take our presence here amiss, but as you see the dining gall is rather crowded and we just wanted to meet the people who would be helping us ‘keep the peace’ if you will.” He said, as he turned to Delijah. “I am so very grateful for your willingness to share your space with us. I am quite sure we can work something out when the other members show up.”

Alyss’ heart started racing as she got more and more nervous and high-strung. She could not stand people that enjoyed speaking for the sake of speaking, and the octopus seemed the type. As if to confirm the belief, he continued speaking. “Now if I might be so bold as to pre-empt the obvious questions. Yes, I am an octopus, yes I am really a prince, yes, my father is ‘the King’ of the Irish Sea, and in case you haven’t yet noticed, I am terribly sorry for projecting my voice into your mind, but as I lack functional vocal cords it is more or less the only way we can have some civil dinner conversation.” Alyss couldn’t help but think that she wanted as little conversation as possible with the sea-creature. “Ooh, and on a more personal note, I prefer Prince Nelson if it’s not too inconvenient. Prince Charles is somewhat of a twat, if you pardon my language. I would not use profanity in the presence of a lady,” Then why did you? Thought Alyss. “But you have me at a disadvantage, who do I have the pleasure of addressing?” He finished.

It wasn’t in Alyss’ nature to judge, but she couldn’t help but think that the octopus was full of unwarranted self importance. He did nothing but talk about himself for what seemed, in Alyss’ mind, like ages. To make matters worse, the other Teacher, Nova, said nothing, and did nothing. She couldn’t figure out what was more rude, the teacher barging in unwanted, or letting the octopus speak for her while she just sat there. In all reality, Alyss wasn’t a fan of either one of them. She looked up at Delijah with a pitiful look that screamed “save me”, then continued to look down at her fingers. She didn’t want to start eating before everyone else, it would be rather rude of her. She was going to wait until everyone else that was in her company had arrived.

“Could we perhaps repay you for your hospitality by buying a round of drinks for you and your friends when they arrive?” The octopus asked. I-I am only 17! Alyss thought. He cannot be suggesting to buy a minor alcohol. What kind of sea creature is this?!

Lacking the will to say it aloud, Alyss simply shook her head to decline his offer, and went back with looking downwards as she fidgeted with her fingers. I hope everyone gets back soon… She thought. Alyss was nervous, and rather uncomfortable. Maybe with the company of the rest of the Disciplinary Committee, the mood would change and Alyss’ heart would stop racing.

Delijah

“Excuse me, but I do believe some introductions are in order, milady. It is my pleasure to introduce Miss Nova Carmine, Teacher of Combat Theory at the academy. I am Prince Horatio Nelson Charles the Third.

Delijah's frown did not lessen when she heard the emphasis on the word Prince. Royalty or not, one thing was certain he wasn't humble. She scoffed internally

What? Does he now expect us to bow every time i see him?

And I will be teaching “Study and cultivation of conventional abilities” whatever that means… I do hope you will not take our presence here amiss, but as you see the dining hall is rather crowded and we just wanted to meet the people who would be helping us “keep the peace” if you will.

And a teacher that does not know of his own class.... Brilliant.

I am so very grateful for your willingness to share your space with us. I am quite sure we can work something out when the other members show up.

Naturally, all her internal dialogue remained internal. Delijah kept her face straight and true, not changing from her usual visage. True that the dining hall is packed out, but alas, a table for six only does fit six, no matter how you play around with the seating and Delijah had no intention of squeezing together to fit eight. That would just make the dinner uncomfortable.

Alas, it is unfortunate, but should they arrive, i will have to ask you to move. A table of six does only fit six. And when the other two members arrive, may i also ask you to move down to the other end of the table? After all, it is a welcome party for the two new members and it would not do to have our party separated in half.

I would not use profanity in the presence of a lady but you have me at a disadvantage, who do I have the pleasure of addressing?

His self importance soared sky high in Delijah's mind. To think that he'd assume Delijah's interest in his lineage was a bit pretentious. The octopus thing was a bit interesting, but she had seen her fair share of oddities and a talking, telepathic octopus isn't too much of a shock anymore.

Could we perhaps repay you for your hospitality by buying a round of drinks for you and your friends when they arrive?”

The name's Delijah Fei. Vice Leader of the Disciplinary Committee. First things first... Prince Nelson....

She cringed on the inside. Hopefully, she wouldnt have inflated his ego.

....i would like to remind you to please refrain from smoking inside any building or public area. Seeing as you have yet to light, let this just be a reminder. I will lodge a complain should you decide not to heed it. As for the drinks, i do not think that is such a good idea. If it is alcoholic, then definitely no. Alcohol on campus sets a bad image. If it is not alcoholic drinks, we may have to decline depending on the other members replies. As for me, i am sorry, but i will have to decline.

Finishing what she had said, she turned back to Alyss, who was obviously very, very uncomfortable.

Best get her to talk, divert her attention.

So, how are you adjusting to Eureka? You're not acrophobic are you?

Her face has not changed one bit, but Delijah was trying to be friendly with her serious persona still up. Maybe the slight joke might help?

Alyss listened to Delijah’s response carefully. The girl was amazing in Alyss’ eyes. To be able to speak so boldly, and bluntly without hesitation or fear… Alyss rather envied it. As her retorts ended, she turned to Alyss, obviously sensing her fear of the situation and spoke to her. “So, how are you adjusting to Eureka? You’re not acrophobic are you?”

Alyss shot out a nervous giggle. “I-I am ad-a”, she started. No, I have to remain calm. I cannot let this get the best of me. Be calm, be rational, take a deep breath… and go with the flow. She thought. Taking a deep breath, and forcing her fingers to stop fidgeting, she restarted. “I am adjusting… somewhat well. My rooming accommodations are fine, and I toured the library… which I am in love with. I have never seen a library so big in my life, not even in Riven.”

Alyss smiled, she was getting her fear under control. However, she feared that as soon as Nova or the octopus, whom of which she refused to call “Prince”, started speaking, she may start fidgeting again. Luckily, the mood of nervousness was broken thanks to Delijah. If she wasn’t so afraid of contact, she could hug the girl out of thankfulness alone. “As for heights, I am fine. It is the dark and… other things I am afraid of.” Alyss said, smiling again for the first time since the conversation started. She didn’t dare let slip she was afraid of being touched.

“So… how are things on the Disciplinary Committee? Do you guys have to ‘crack down’ often?” Alyss asked, out of general curiosity. She was very interested in what they did, and she really wanted to hear more. Perhaps she can share some interesting stories, Alyss thought, her eyes lighting up at the thought. She hoped that would bring the mood down even lighter.

[OOC: A start for the extreme introvert, at least, and apologies for the uber short post.]

"That's somewhat true," Eluniel responded, instinctively, then realizing that she herself was almost no different. With her bright blue hair, and especially tall stature, she was also 'out of place' in Maya's words.

"I'm probably kind of out of place as well, isn't it?"

It was more a curious question than a self-depreciating one; nevertheless, she was keen to know, and it showed in her eyes, under her hood.

As soon as her choice of nourishment was put together on her plate, Estrella had began to walk back over to the table that Bartholomew had reserved for them. Apparently, he was still fixing his plate, but she noticed that Delijah and the Red Sect girl were already at the table; them and two other . . . very unexpected guests. One was a woman, who wasn't wearing a blazer, yet she looked older than most of the students here, possibly around the silverette's age, so it must have been a teacher. Hovering beside her was, in great irony, an octopus. As much as beings of that kind may have existed in the rest of the world, Estrella surely wasn't expecting anything like it at the academy. She wasn't exactly sure whether to call this situation out of place or not considering she hadn't seen all of the students yet - this could be a normal thing, whether she was expecting it or not. Regardless, they were definitely intruding the DisCom table, and from the expressions and talking going through with the other two girls, they probably thought the same thing.

Estrella had caught Delijah in the middle of explaining something to the two other guests as she took a seat next to Alyss. Delijah's face had read patience, but the tone of her voice was serious indeed.

". . .let this just be a reminder. I will lodge a complain should you decide not to heed it. As for the drinks, i do not think that is such a good idea. If it is alcoholic, then definitely no. Alcohol on campus sets a bad image. If it is not alcoholic drinks, we may have to decline depending on the other members replies. As for me, i am sorry, but i will have to decline."

Estrella had assumed that one of the two people had offered drinks to the table, which had honestly sounded idiotic to her. Though she may have only been at this school for an hour, she was well aware that the majority of the students here weren't old enough to drink alcohol. She may have been old enough herself, but she was still on school property, where it would be typical for consumption of alcohol to be prohibited; and she could live with that. As for the possibility of the offer for non-alcoholic drinks, Estrella held her glass of cranberry juice upward a little to indicate that was taken care of for her.

"I have my beverage already, but thank you for the offer," She replied lightly to the strangers as well as the eleven girl - who she had yet to learn the name of - before taking a few sips of her juice. It was sweet enough for her, so there was no need to dilute it. "I'm Estrella Briller, one of the recruits of the Disciplinary Committee." Something told Estrella that it wouldn't be the only introduction she would have to make for the night. She took a small glance over at the girl she was sitting next to, and she looked very tense. It must have been an awkward moment for her, what with being a new student and having to spend the first dinner with uninvited staff. Estrella would attempt to make the dinner as casual and comfortable as possible, despite having teachers within eye sight.

"
So, how are you adjusting to Eureka? You're not acrophobic are you?" Delijah had asked her. The elven student giggled nervously for a brief second, and somewhat stuttered in her response at first. She could regain her composure - Estrella could tell that she was trying, and luckily within a moment, she had.

“I am adjusting… somewhat well. My rooming accommodations are fine, and I toured the library… which I am in love with. I have never seen a library so big in my life, not even in Riven.” I have. Estrella thought to herself. But it got burned down. The girl's experience in Eureka's library sounded astonishing enough, and Estrella would be sure to check it out before the sun rose once more.“As for heights, I am fine. It’s the dark and… other things I am afraid of.” So they did have their differences. This girl was afraid of the dark when Estrella had to practically live her daily life in it. It had felt no different to her than doing things normally during the day, there was just barely any light - and no pain to be afflicted to her vision.“So… how are things on the Disciplinary Committee? Do you guys have to ‘crack down’ often?”

Estrella had suddenly remembered her first task as a DisCom member when it hadn't even been a minute after she boarded off that airship. She chuckled a little bit as the scene had replayed in her head.

"I'm beginning to wonder that myself. It had only been ten seconds since I boarded off the airship to campus - ten seconds, and I had to break up a situation by putting a student to sleep." She paused briefly to take another swallow of her juice. "No worries though. No harm was done to him," Physically. She finished the statement in her head. Comatose was known to give the victim numerous horrific nightmares during their forced sleep, and Estrella had figured it was one of the several good ways to keep their behavior in tact at this school.
"Though from what else I saw today, there must have been worse cases in the first semester." Aside from the attack from Diaga that she had heard about, she could only imagine what else had happened in the past, and what could more than likely happen while she was around.

Her attention was then brought back to the girl, who seemed to have kept herself calm. "I don't believe I've caught your name," She said with a grin. She then turned her head to the teacher and octopus on the other side of her. "And yours too. Seeing as I came here a bit late, I apologize for missing the introductions."

“Oh my, so quickly? I assumed that people at the academy would be a little more civilized than that. It is like in the books that I used to read about Humans as a child.” Suddenly, she realized how that badly that sounded. “Oh, s-sorry, I did not mean it like that… I am very glad that we have a dedicated Disciplinary Committee. It makes me feel safe, thank you.” Alyss smiled. She really was thankful for that. If Estrella had to crack down on someone within the first few seconds of her being here, she didn’t want to imagine how things would be like if they weren’t here at all.

“I don’t believe I’ve caught your name,” Estrella said. “And yours too. Seeing as I came here a bit late, I apologize for missing the introductions.”

“I am Alyss, Alyss Mithrandir,” Alyss said, introducing herself. “It is really nice to meet you two. You are both very friendly, and I am very thankful for that.” The tension, for Alyss, at least, was mostly broken. She had even forgotten all about the two teachers due to the friendliness of the two Disciplinary Committee students she had met so far. She wondered if the rest would be as friendly and kind. However, she was still a little wary of the teachers at the table. Well, with Estrella and Delijah here, I feel comfortable enough… As rude as it is, I just cannot help but hope they leave soon.

Delijah

“So… how are things on the Disciplinary Committee? Do you guys have to ‘crack down’ often?”

"I'm beginning to wonder that myself. It had only been ten seconds since I boarded off the airship to campus - ten seconds, and I had to break up a situation by putting a student to sleep. No worries though. No harm was done to him. Though from what else I saw today, there must have been worse cases in the first semester."

Delijah took a sip from her milk before continuing nonchalantly.

Well, we had a war last semester, and some Red Sect student tried to pick a fight with a rather.... infamous Black Sect.... So i guess, but maybe people are a bit more giddy due to the upheaval last semester and the new flying school thing....... But anyhow, deterrence is a good method, though it makes us seem like the bad guys. A show of force here and there does go a long way.

A slight bitter smile twisted the corner of Delijah's lip. If you kind of compared it, All the StuCo members were revered at an almost idol level. All the students
admired them and flocked to them when they appear. The DisCo however, seemed more like the SS from Nazi Germany. Fear.
Delijah always reasoned that the StuCo got as much cooperation form the student body through their respect and peaceful methods, so someone had to whip those that the StuCo couldn't reach into shape. There were always some of them. Delijah always told herself that someone had to play the bad cop, but still, it did hurt sometimes when people flinch when she approached them. Wiping off the sad smile, Delijah resumed back to normal

In any case, its all in the job description, so i guess there is no complaining.

Forking her fish, she began to eat at it, glad that Alyss face and posture loosened from the tension. Maybe they could start working up a less intimidating appearance for the DisCo? It'd be nice if more people saw them more friendly like Alyss... or at least be more at ease in their presence....

8:20pm [since lunch has begun it has to be at least after 8 since it was stated that it began at 8 o clock. Also some characters are missing posts...And everyone watching the fight should probably just leave.]

(OOC: Didn't someone have to see the headmaster? Well here he is!)

Akabea despised the rudeness at this academy. His lunch alone at a small table by a row of plants had been interrupted with fights all around the cafeteria. He had to already expell 2 students, give 1 student a stern talking to, and another a terrible beat down for bullying. The pitiful manners the students possessed within the academy were enough to make Akabea's facial expression much more sinister. Suddenly he stood, his lunch tray almost completely clean.

He walked silently and sternly throughout the cafeteria. Were these students not even aware of his title? And yet they still chose to act out right in front of him! It had all seemed disrespectful until Akabea had realized his body's image through a reflection of the marble floors. He looked like nothing more than a student himself, but that shouldn't change the way things were run in this academy.

Krell had been careless, which had led to Akabea's older brother's downfall. To Akabea the students ran around the campus like monkeys, always either showing off or behaving like children. On his way out he spotted a few of the faculty talking to a bunch of students no less. The headmaster would have to maintain order within his new domain and he approached the table without caution or hesitation.

"Good day Prince Nelson," Akabea began silently before his ears perked up at a spot of conversation.

“Could we perhaps repay you for your hospitality by buying a round of drinks for you and your friends when they arrive?”

Akabea said nothing. He stood there unnoticed for quite sometime before finally finding the words to express himself clearly. "AHEM!" Akabea coughed rather loudly.

He walked in all seriousness even closer towards the table staring at the octopus and Ms. Carmine. "I don't know who you think you are," Akabea spoke in a harsh tone looking directly at the octopus. "But I don't know of a single employee of my school who's ever willingly given alcohol to students without being ripped apart from the inside out afterwards."

Akabea gave a peaceful expression almost as if smirking. "If you wish to remain employed and alive you shall adhere to the rules of this institution." Akabea commanded in a striking tone before turning to Nova. "Also Miss Carmine, it's nice to see you back. I don't know how Krell ran things, but in my establishment teachers are the instructors and the guiders, not the students' best friends. Social contact with students is completely prohibited from your pet octopus. Now please escort this animal out of my cafeteria."

Turning on his heel Akabea stormed through the cafeteria and out into the Great Hall where he had begun to rise up the stairs. While walking a bigger student with a black blazer had bumped into him on purpose, knocking him back and causing Akabea's childlike body to fall. "Watch it twerp." The black sect spoke.

It was at this point where the snapping point within his mind had occurred. "You dare speak to the headmaster in such a tone?" he spoke with an annoyed tone. "You don't deserve this life."

Holding his hand out towards the tall black sect bully's head Akabea unleashed a sinister spell. Nothing visible had happened and the black sect bully had laughed off the incident. "I shall be on my way then." Akabea said as he began walking up the stairs.

From behind the same bully had come running from behind with with a fist held high. At once Akabea's sinister grin was planted. Once the black sect's fist had made contact with the back of the headmaster's head, a screaming of pure agony could be heard. The black sect student himself was upon the floor writhing in pain and shaking violently. Akabea who had not received the impact of the punch turned slowly. "Oh? Unwise decision. You see now that you have chosen to become a bully after receiving a chance of redemption the curse put upon your body will cause your muscles to slowly deteriorate over time. Bumping or falling on any hard surface would only cause intense pain to you." Akabea explained now standing over the student who was now in tears. "It's a shame I've never learned how to undo that spell. Since your career at this school is obviously over I'll have your withdrawal papers inside your dorm first thing in the morning."

Without so much as a glance towards passerby students or a helpful hand, Akabea turned his heel once more and headed up to his office.

Nami was entirely alone, not just in the room but in life, he knew it and there was noone there to tell him otherwise. He slipped the bandages up on his left arm and stuck a knife against the vein. He depressed the blade into his skin and dragged it across, he smiled as his red liquid of life ran down his arm. he dropped the knife and wandered dizzily out of the room, he fell against the wall and slid downwards. "Im sorry Iman" he said as he dragged himself upward from the floor and continued to stumble out into the courtyard.

That was as far as he got, he fell once more from the dizziness and weakness he was feeling due to blood loss. It didnt hurt it was just numbing, his entire body felt like cotton wool and he was going to drift away any minute. he rolled onto his back and stared up into the beautiful sky as a tear fell down his cheek to the floor. if this was his final sight on this earth then he was glad he could see the beautiful sky. His eyes closed with the image of the night sky burned into them.

Elaine Chevalier:

After the fight ended, Elaine landed her rock behind the courtyard and away from any students. Coming off the rock, she quickly ran towards the Academy's cafeteria, looking to get a bite to eat before they run out of food. "Oh, god, I hope they still have some good food left!" She said as she passed through several students to make her way to the cafeteria.

Finally making it to the cafeteria, Elaine picked up a tray and checked to see what foods they had left to choose from. In the end, seeing that there wasn't anything of interest, took a green salad with some salad dressing. With food on her tray, Elaine decided to look for her fellow StuCo members.

Evelyn Rosemonde

"Of course, by all means come by. Though I hope you don't fill up at dinner. I typically serve a bit of cake and biscuits when I have guests for tea. And if you want, we can get started on your magic. I can have a few books pulled down for you if you'll tell me what kind of magic you specialize in."

Evelyn wasn't sure how to answer his question, as each of the spells she knew, where all very different, the effect of each new spell she learned so far had varied greatly.

"Hmm, each of the spells I know now all seem to vary a great deal, so that is very difficult to answer accurately, in all honesty..." she replied, "I know four spells, one of which is a fireball that homes in on the target, one can cause the target to slip into unconsciousness, or rather slumber, one momentarily can make any one part, or all of me, become invisible for quite a brief time, and the other temporarily increases my own and any nearby allies' resistance to damage."

She didn't want to take up too much of his time here, but it is hard to speak of the spells she knows with giving at least a brief explanation.

OOC: My sincerest apologies for this post being so late, and short after that time, I hope to make posts for at least some of the other characters tomorrow, would like to anyways...

[Gavin]

Clearly the DisCom had slipped in the semester he had been gone. No damage yet. And what was with Orion. The boy had changed. By now he would have been throwing this girls weapons back at her and have already disappeared.

"Such a pity..." he murmured. How the mighty have fallen.

This wasn't going anywhere. With a simple snap, the shadows around him jumped to shroud him. Under their cover he jumped down into the space between the buildings and let them go back to their original owners. And with that he left them to their joke.

{Later}

There was something in the air. Something he was all too familiar with. Something he had been wanting at that fight earlier. Gavin's eyes flashed red and he was off, searching for the scent. He followed it through the buildings and along the paths to the courtyard. The lotus pond still stood and lying on the ground in front of it was a boy, bleeding out.

That was what had drawn him here. Stalking over to the body, he crouched down beside him and looked at the wound. It was serious but obviously not uncommon. Other scars criss-crossed on the boy's arm and there were other bandages on him. The blood was still flowing from him and the sound of his lifebeat was music to Gavin's ears.

Taking the boys arm, he held it to his lips and licked off the blood. It was so sweet and he wanted more. He wanted to drain this boy of his blood. Before he knew it, he had already sunk his fangs into the boy's wrist and was drinking his blood. Then his eyes caught his victim's face.

The moonlight was hitting his face just right, illuminating his skin. He had stopped drinking then and now there was a slight trail of blood from the corners of his mouth. He reached out a hand that caressed the boy's cheek with a gentle chill.

"You look..." he whispered, the rest of the sentence caught.

There wasn't a moment of thought after. Carefully, he picked up the boy in his arms and brought him back to his room under cover of shadows. In his room, Gavin laid him down on his bed. The room was dark, heavy black curtains blocking the window. It was sparsely decorated in ebony furniture with a large bookcase filled with fantasy novels. The bed Nami lay on was a similar color to the room. Ebony wood with black sheets and dark red pillows on a large frame.

Searching through his bags he found a first aid kit. Opening it, it was clear that it had been used often. Taking the bandages out of it, he took care of Nami's arm.

The night was still young but what was there to do? Gavin crawled into bed next to Nami and put his hands behind his head. He couldn't sleep but at least Nami wouldn't panic.

[James]

"Hmm, sounds like you prefer the magic of the islands. I happen to be quite proficient in it. And you dabble in the plains and mountains. I've met others like me who specialize in that and I know quite a bit. By all means do drop by. I happen to know the perfect book. After all, what can you do with 200 years but write."

He shrugged gently, pushing his age off easily.

"Well, then, I suppose you will need to unpack. Perhaps I'll see you in the cafeteria. And if not maybe later tonight."

With a light wave, James left to find that book in his library. He also had the sneaking suspicion that someone had been in there 'fangasming'. That is if he was using the word right.

in his blood deprived state his head was aching something rotten, he felt his arm as he was trying to figure out what was happening. he very easily noticed the new bandage, it felt alot softer than the others. He rolled over to rest some more and whispered "Thank you Iman, i knew youd save me" he smiled in his haze, she was his sister, she was always there for him, and apparently always would be, he dreampt of happier times and as he regained conciousness for a second time he felt alot better.

He sat up and opened his eyes. He didnt recognise the room, which in his opinion was rather nicely decorated, he didnt recognise the coats hung up or the clothes in the wardrobe. he didnt recognise the bed he was in. and it took him only a few more moments to register someone else was in the bed next to him. "ima-" he began about to ask where he was when he looked at the figures face. he leapt out of the bed but his legs collapsed under him and he ended up sat on the floor with a rough bump. "wh-who are you?" he questioned unceremoniously rude, he thought better of it soon afterwards though "I-i mean thank you for your help but where am i and whats your name?" he had to admit that the boy was rather cute, but he didnt want this boy to see him turn into a cat, it was weak and unbecoming.
