*Eureka Academy:Second Semester*

Already growing tired of the fight, Athena turned away and walked back into the main building and down the stairs, arms folded and a neutral expression on her face. She didn't like leaving a fight in progress but she was sure Veerle was capable of taking care of herself.

Walking into the cafeteria, she took a modest helping of food-not too much or too little- and as she turned away from the staff serving the food she noticed a table with her fellow Disciplinary Committee members-complete with newcomers to the prestigious group- seated there.

Taking a seat, she noticed another figure, a familiar one at that. "Ms Carmine," she said respectfully. "Everyone." Her tone was a little warmer with the others, since she would be once again going through the year with the same kind of experiences as them. She began to cut her food into small, neat portions with rapid, practiced movements.

[Gavin]

As Nami regained consciousness each time, Gavin looked to him to see whether he was truly out or not. The first time he mentioned someone named Iman. The second time, he paniked, falling out of Gavin's bed.

"Wh-who are you? I-I mean thank you for your help but where am I and whats your name?"

"I was afraid of that," Gavin said climbing out of bed. "You're still too weak from your blood loss and I didn't help. You need to stay in bed."

He picked Nami up from the floor and laid him back on the bed.

"You're in my room here at Eureka. My name is Gavin and I've just recently come back after missing the last semester. And you are?"

Nami was slightly surprised at how easily gavin lifted him from the floor and he listened as gavin explained everything and then gave him his name. "Gavin? thats a nice name, im nami" he smiled weakly 'well it looks like someone did pay enough attention, but how did he find me in time?' "You say this is eureka? where are the blue sect dorms from here?" He asked quietly "I would like to get showered and changed sometime soon and i need to get back there"

[Gavin]

"The Blue sect dorms are two floors down but you shouldn't be walking right now," Gavin said, laying a hand on Nami's. You've lost a lot of blood and you already fell just trying to get out of bed. You won't be going to class tomorrow. I know that for a fact. Maybe not for two days.

"But if you need a shower I do have my private bath and I could go get a change of clothes for you in the morning. By then you wont be falling though you may be dizzy."

Nami felt a little too vulnerable to be spending the night in the same bed as another boy. he wasnt homophobic, in fact he was gay but he didnt want to get too excited and turn into a cat. "I have tresspassed on your hospitality for far too long already, it is not right for anyone to worry this much about me" He stood up again slowly and maintained uprightness with much determination. his head swimming with the dizziness, he collapsed down on the bed panting "O-ok ill stay but just until i get over the dizziness. I dont know whats happened it never usually affects me this badly, i feel drained"

[Gavin]

"That would be my fault."

Gavin sat down in a nearby chair, and looked at Nami.

"You don't have to worry about imposing. It's not like I use the bed."

He didn't elaborate on how it was his fault. Not at this juncture at least.

“Well, we had a war last semester, and some Red Sect student tried to pick a fight with a rather… infamous Black Sect… So I guess, but maybe people are a bit more giddy due to the upheaval last semester and the new flying school thing… But anyhow, deterrence is a good method, though it makes us seem like the bad guys. A show of force here and there does go a long way.” Delijah, said. She had paused for a few seconds as a slight smiled appeared on the corner of her lip. Alyss wondered what she was thinking about, but felt it best not to pry. “In any case, it’s all in the job description, so I guess there is no complaining.”

As she stopped speaking, she stabbed her fish wish her fork and began eating. “Well, please do be careful. You all seem like nice people, I would be sad to hear of anything bad happening to any of you,” Alyss said. In all reality, Alyss didn’t think she would be able to do put herself in immediate danger like that if it came down to it. She got scared far too easily, and confrontation gave her anxiety attacks. Sure, she could move fast, shoot lightning, and wield a sword… However, at the end of the day, she put too little confidence in her own abilities, setting herself up for failure before she had even begun.

“If I ever see anything bad happening, I will be sure to report it to you guys.” Alyss said, looking down at the table. Unable to continue holding back, she reluctantly picked up her fork and started eating her Chicken Alfredo. It was her favorite meal in the world, and as much as she wanted to wait for the others, she simply couldn’t. She took a piece of chicken surrounded by the noodles of the Alfredo, and started eating. Each bite was like a slice of paradise, Alyss didn’t know who the chef was, but they had done an amazing job.

Continuing her meal, Alyss spotted a small boy walking past the table. Alyss smiled at him as he got closer to the table. However, noting the look on his face, he didn’t seem too happy. “Good day, Prince Nelson.” He said, the tone in his voice obviously sophisticated in its own right. Then, out of almost nowhere, he erupted in a booming voice. “AHEM!” He coughed, as he got even closer to the table and started eying down both of the “teachers”. “I don’t know who you think you are,” he said, the sophisticated tone in his voice now filled to the brim with anger. “But I don’t know of a single employee of my school who’s ever willingly given alcohol to students without being ripped apart from the inside out afterwards.”

Suddenly, he was calm. However, there was an unmistakable slight smirk on his face. “If you wish to remain employed and alive you shall adhere to the rules of this institution. Also, Miss Carmine, it’s nice to see you back. I don’t know how Krell ran things, but in my establishment teachers and instructors are the guiders, not the students’ best friends. Social contact with students is completely prohibited from your pet octopus. Now please escort this animal out of my cafeteria.”

Alyss was shocked as she sat wide eyed at the boy. She didn’t quite know what to make of it. Her Father would have said something along the lines of, “what crawled up his ass and died”. However, she was not her Father, and she couldn’t use such crude language if she tried. Alyss simply looked in awe at what she believed to be a young boy. He walked away from the table and out towards the Great Hall. “W-who was that?” Alyss dared ask after he left. She had a hunch it was someone very important, and from the sound of his speech, and the way he spoke, she had to guess that he was the Headmaster, but she wanted to be sure.

Just after she asked this question, a new student appeared. It looked to be one of the students from the roof that the fight was taking place on. Is the fight over? Alyss thought. The student took her seat. “Ms. Carmine,” she said in a respectful manner. “Everyone,” she then said to everyone else in a tone that was much more pleasing. Alyss, swallowing more of her Alfredo, smiled and gave her greeting. “Hello.”

VEERLE SHINJA
It seemed people were slowly becoming bored of her little confrontation with Orion as he deflected her Sais. Veerle smirked as she felt energy focusing behind her eyes. Slowy everything was become clearer. He wouldn't be able to keep this up for long.

Yanking on her ribbons and twisting them so the Sais flew loose as they sailed back towards her, Veerle caught the dangerous weapons in her hands and span them so they pointed towards. The hilts pressed against those of her daggers and she flashed Orion a small smile. Slipping the Sai into the waistband of her pants, the girl flicked her wrists. The throwing daggers span in the air as they homed in on their target as a swish of material forcing the ribbons to curl up over Veerle's blazer on the floor. It was time to get serious.

Veerle pushed off from the ground in the wake of her daggers, moving to the boy's left side. The daggers should either hit him or serve as a distraction enough for him to not block her fist as it snapped out towards the side of his face. Leaping back, she landed softly on the edge of the roof, crouching low so one leg lay out straight to her left and her right leg was bent at the knee. Stupid boy. He wouldn't underestimate her for long.

{{I know its crap, stfu}}

HITOKI GEKITSOU
As lips brushed against his, Hitoki felt his entire being shiver. Oh boy, how exciting and naughty this felt. He reacted instinctively, furling his tail around Mishra's leg as his mouth responded eagerly.

When Hitoki had come back to the school this semester, he had not been expecting this sort of welcome. Sure, the boy had had his fair share of tail (pardon the pun) in the previous semester but none of them measured up to the enigmatic cat-boy whose lips were now brushing against his own. He pulled back slightly and purred.

"My my, don't I feel like the cat that got the cream..." he breathed before giving the other catboy a sly grin. "Well, figuratively, at least."

{{short. crap. boooooo}}

OOC: Tis all good. But I thought it was the next day already.

IC: So, she brought back the weapons, and then threw throwing knives at him. She didn't learn from the earlier encounter, did she? Then again, this wasn't some measly low-ranking blue or red throwing a knife at him, it was the president of disco. The way her chi was moving, she would be moving.... there! she was jumping left.

Orion wasted no time in dodging to his right, so as to get out of the way of the daggers and her fist. He back-pedaled until he had decent distance from her. She was now standing at the edge of the roof, in a viable position to lash out with a particularly strong kick if he was within range.

"Damnit Veerle, stop this! I don't want to fight you, and you have no true reason to fight me! I haven't broken any rules, and we're not in the arena! End this now, so we don't have to waste ourselves with what we are doing!"

Now Orion's eyes opened, so as to be able to hear her reply. At this point, if she didn't end the battle now, it would be a waste to hold back and simply use focus. Throwing knives spun into his hands so he held one in each, in case she did persist.

He hoped not. He didn't want to do this. He was trying to avoid conflicts damn it. Why didn't anyone understand?

(OOC: Just a quick one to get one in, I'm out of time tonight so this is the best I've got :/ And sorry FF if I've gotten it wrong, but I think Prince Nelson is still in his tank, right?)

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The wait was rather long for the food items Bartholomew desired, but he eventually made it up to the counter, and was granted some very fresh-looking grilled chicken and vegetables, as well as a delectable smoothie, and a glass of water to wash it all down with. He gave the workers a hearty thank you as he accepted his meal, then lifted his tray and made his way back to the area where their reserved table was. He had been trying to keep an eye on it from the line, but the distance and crowd in between had made it difficult, so he could merely hope that the seats had been left unoccupied by anyone outside their party.

Once he got near enough, he was startled to find that along with Estrella, Delijah, and the girl in the red kimono, there were three others at the table as well. One of them, Athena Hale, was perfectly welcome, as she was a fellow member of the DisCom. However, the others were most unexpected—Miss Nova Carmine, a young teacher he recognized from the previous year, and...was that really an octopus? Wearing a bowler hat and a monocle, no less? He was situated in a portable tank next to Miss Carmine, so there was still one seat left open for Bartholomew, but...hadn't they read his sign?

Oh well, he thought calmly, trying to assess the best way to react. I suppose it'll be a good chance to get to know a teacher better, as well as figure out what the octopus is doing here. Perhaps Miss Carmine has something of importance to say to us; maybe that's why she's here. And if Veerle is able to join us later, perhaps we can squeeze in an extra chair somewhere.

He was just about to join them at the table when a young boy with an eyepatch, looking no older than twelve, strode over to their table and said something in the direction of Miss Carmine and the octopus. Bartholomew couldn't quite discern what was being said from such a distance, but the tone sounded quite stern. The boy then departed, and started to head out of the cafeteria towards the Great Hall; Bartholomew noticed that he carried himself as though he were someone important. Which was incredibly odd; how could a twelve-year-old possibly have any clout over any staff member?

He had a quick flash of the recent dinner announcement, which had sounded like it had been delivered by a twelve-year-old. His brain scrambled to try to piece together the significance, but he knew he had a dinner to attend to, so he merely set it to the back of his mind for the moment as he finally made his way over to the table. As he sat down in the last remaining chair, he overheard the girl in the kimono asking who someone was. If she was referencing the young boy, thought Bartholomew, then that was good; hopefully he would get to hear some answers as well.

As soon as he was seated, he nodded to Miss Carmine and the octopus in acknowledgement. “Good evening, Miss Carmine,” he said brightly, trying to sound as diplomatic as possible. “What brings you to our table this evening?”

[Mishra]

"You could get it literally too. Maybe in my room. If you were so inclined to join me after dinner."

Mishra brought his hand down from Hitoki's head to his chin, a light touch and a kiss on the other cheek.

"And perhaps we could go to diner together. Not the finest of fares but I'm sure I can whip something up in my room."

A show of force here and there does go a long way.” Delijah said. So the major battle that Estrella had heard about was a war. She could only wonder what kind of system Diaga had ran and what they had against Eureka to cause such a feud. “In any case, it’s all in the job description, so I guess there is no complaining.”

“Well, please do be careful. You all seem like nice people, I would be sad to hear of anything bad happening to any of you.
If I ever see anything bad happening, I will be sure to report it to you guys.”

The silverette chuckled slightly as she took a forkful of her salad. "Well I must say you're quite the well behaved girl. No worries though; if we couldn't handle what's thrown at us, we wouldn't be in DisCom, now would we?"

After she spoke, she had continued eating, and she had began to realize that it had been a little while since she last seen Bartholomew. Despite remembering he had a small build, he must have been gathering a lot on his place. "Odd. I do wonder what's-"

"AHEM!" A booming voice cut Estrella off. It startled her slightly, and she glanced over at the end of the table where the teacher and the octopus were. Behind them, with a rather unsatisfied look on his face, was a kid with an eye patch over his face. In fact, all the people who were sitting at the table right now had their attention directed at the boy now. He glanced over at the woman and the octopus, seriousness reflecting off of his visible eye.
"I don't know who you think you are, but I don't know of a single employee of my school who's ever willingly given alcohol to students without being ripped apart from the inside out afterwards."

Estrella blinked at his message. His voice seemed oddly familiar. And then it hit her; the announcement from the intercom earlier had the same voice coming out of it. This was Eureka's headmaster? Estrella said nothing, but her face had still shown a bit of surprise from the kid's sudden outburst. She hadn't even seen him come over to their table. Then suddenly, his facial features had softened.
"If you wish to remain employed and alive you shall adhere to the rules of this institution." He then brought his attention to the other woman. "Also Miss Carmine, it's nice to see you back. I don't know how Krell ran things, but in my establishment teachers are the instructors and the guiders, not the students' best friends. Social contact with students is completely prohibited from your pet octopus. Now please escort this animal out of my cafeteria."

And just like that, he walked away from the table. The situation had came out of nowhere, and there was an awkward silence afterwards. "My goodness . . ." Estrella managed to speak out, catching herself still staring at the kid leaving the dining hall before bringing her attention back to the table.

"Who-who was that?" Alyss had then said. It wasn't unusual that she was shocked by this too. Estrella had only glanced back at the area for a brief second before replying.

"I think. . .that was the headmaster." She took another sip from her glass. As crazy as her guess seemed, that was the only logical conclusion she could come to. Beneath the childish stature, the voice of a brute monarch had flared out at the two unexpected guests. Estrella didn't know any other kid that could speak like that. Not too soon after that situation had ended, Estrella noticed a new face joining the table. Turning, she noticed that it was one of the girls that was watching the fight happening on top of the roof up close. Seeing her yellow blazer and the rest of her features, the girl had sat down and glanced over at Miss Carmine; as the headmaster had addressed her.

"Miss Carmine," She greeted them first, and then to the others more warmly. "Everyone."

"Good evening." Estrella replied to her. Just as that occurred, the sound of another chair being pulled at the table was heard. Bartholomew had returned, and all the seats were filled. Even if the teacher at the table hadn't been told to leave, she would have to eventually if the last DisCom member were to turn up. Whatever the fight was about, it must have been serious if it lasted this long.

“Good evening, Miss Carmine,” Bartholomew asked the woman brightly. He didn't sound as confused to see these two than the others - including herself - did. “What brings you to our table this evening?”

Estrella would let Miss Carmine speak for herself. Despite her coming to the DisCom table uninvited, Estrella felt a little pity for her being told off by the boy earlier.

"It's a shame I've never learned how to undo that spell. Since your career at this school is obviously over I'll have your withdrawal papers inside your dorm first thing in the morning."

The eye patched boy had then continued his way up the stairs. The student that he had attacked however, was still on the floor, writhing in absolute pain. It took all the strength Rosalynn had to keep herself from laughing. With her luggage in her hand, the half breed strolled towards the stairs that led to the different levels of sects, and stared down at the guy. He was wearing a black blazer, so he had to be one of her acquaintances. . .he was one of her acquaintances. The little stunt he pulled had already gotten him expelled, and he probably wasn't even in the school for more than 2 hours. Rosalynn had smirked down at him.

"You tried to attack the headmaster?" She asked, mocking surprise in her tone. "You are an idiot."

The former black sect student said nothing to retort back at her. He only held his hand above his face, probably struggling to calm himself. Rosalynn had scoffed at him. "Oh well. Now that you're banished from this school, I won't ever have to worry about teaming up with you." And with that, she pushed some raven black hair out in front of her and continued her way up the stairs. The sect that she was looking for had to have been on the third floor, learning that there were 4 different colored sects, going up from weakest to strongest. At least she got to move a little. She had felt just a tad bit cramped in the airship that all the other students had got on.

She did admit though, she didn't expect the headmaster of this academy to be. . . a dangerous, yet demanding, little kid. He looked what, about 12 years old? Something seemed off, but with what happened to the guy that she passed not too long ago, she wasn't going to risk getting on his nerves. With Rosalynn being a naturally fast walker, the trip to the black sect dorms was shorter than she expected it to be. She noticed it was the females only section, and that they were arranged alphabetically. She skimmed for her name on the name planks attached to each door, catching some marked with 'Disciplinary Committee Member' underneath. She would try to not make it look like she needed any 'disciplining' this semester.

Within a few seconds, Rosalynn found her name on one of the doors. Twisting the knob, she entered right inside the dorm, awestruck at what she saw. The dorm itself was bigger than her room back at home, and it contained a queen sized bed, a miniature fridge, and a well sized bathroom. The bed set that was made up looked ultra comfortable, and it matched the darkness of her hair - though she preferred it to be red, since it was her favorite color. She also noted that this was a single person dorm. Though she did enjoy her solitude when the time was right, she couldn't stand being alone all the time, so it would more than likely be rare that she'd be in her dorm often. Glancing at the clock, she noticed that it was already 8 at night. Oh wow, missed an hour of dinner. She thought. She hadn't eaten anything on the airship, nor had she eaten before she departed home. Rosalynn had definitely felt hungry, but she figured that she could get herself ready first before she went to the dining area. Unzipping one of her bags, she had forced out her set of chakrams and hung them on a post connected to the wall before she went to the bathroom to make sure she still looked fresh. She noticed a black blazer folded neatly on top of a space near the sink, and she grinned and she picked it up to examine it.

"Wow," She said. "I could wear this instead of my top and I wouldn't look any different." Pushing her hair back and then bending over, she pulled her top over her head so that her earrings wouldn't snag onto anything. She then snapped on the blazer, which fitted her figure just right. She smiled at what she saw at the mirror, and then mentally contemplated if she wanted to stay and eat at the dining area or snag something and explore around the school as she ate. She walked over to the large window in her dorm and scanned the outside of the building. Hardly anyone was out right now. They were probably eating right now. Rosalynn made the conclusion that she'd stay over at the cafeteria and eat, considering that most of the students were there already, she was reluctant to see some new faces. Turning the bathroom light off behind her and shutting the door as she left her dorm, she made her way back downstairs and across the courtyard. It wouldn't take much effort to make an introduction of herself.

"well thats awfully kind of you, but what am i going to wear in the mean time if i was to use your bathroom?" he wondered aloud "tomorrow would be too late as well, i have classes first thing tomorrow, and theres orientation before that too" he said to gavin as he stood up again, staying there by complete will and finding that he had mastered it already, but the head aches and dizziness were something else. "Im sure i could make it if you were to accompany me" He said before adding "If thats not too much trouble?" he headed slowly to the door of the room

[Gavin]

There really wasn't much point in bothering with his questions right now. Gavin decided to go on the offensive.

"If you try to clutch that doorknob you'll probably pass out," he pointed out.

"Nami, you've lost a lot of blood. The fact that you are still conscious right now is only because of what you have been doing to yourself. The only reason you are able to walk, let alone stand is by will alone and that won't help you get down two flights of stairs. I could help you down to your room, but what will you do when you wake up?

"Some of the blood will be able to replenish but you'll still be weak and without focus, not to mention you would probably be waking up several hours late if you didn't sleep past lunch. If you're like any of the other blue sect students here then you dont have to ability to go to class or even orientation. Sure, some of the students might help but you won't be able to stay focused.

"There isn't much reason in trying to force yourself to something your body cannot do," he finished.

"You'll be laid up in bed for tomorrow; there's no doubt about that. Given that you're standing now, the next day will be easy. The first day is mostly just a class orientation anyway. I'm a black sect so I can teach you what you would learn anyways.

"And I know your name. I can easily go down to your room and get you a set or two of clothes. As for your classes, I can go to your instructors and explain your situation. As long as you don't decide to harm yourself (or I drain you even more, he added mentally) you'll be fine. I'm your brother Arik, it's my duty to take care of you."

The last line slipped out. Gavin face didn't even waver. Internally though there was a maelstrom.

He's not Arik. Arik is dead. Or at least that the only logical answer. Damn, why does he have to look so much like him? Why? And even still, why do I feel this for him?

Nami's hand stopped inches from the door handle as he looked at the six of them, he had to agree gavin was probably right about the passing out if he tried it. Nami knew he had lost alot of blood, and OK from the feel of it, it was the most blood he had ever lost in one blood letting session. And right now he was too weak to argue about his determination being more than most other peoples along with his strength of will. But the argument wasn't worth the headaches he would need to add on top of the one he already had trying to cave his skull in.

Nami turned and attempted to walk back to the bed but hadn't got two steps before his mind realized nami had given up on leaving and decided he didn't need the will anymore. he collapsed to his knees biting his tongue as he dragged himself up onto the bed. his face red with what felt like the only blood in his body rushing there to make him blush. the proximity to this strangely attractive man was just adding to the racing of his blood and the giddy feeling he was currently fighting with internally. He vaguely nodded as gavins words came in garbled jumbles for his brain to sort out later. Nami had managed to force out enough sense to listen to gavin just as the other boy mentioned someone called arik who according to gavin was his brother. Why gavin had called him that was beyond him but nami hazarded a guess.

"Who is arik? Did he look like me or something?"
the question was straightforward and to the point if a little unfeeling. Nami thought for what was perhaps a few to many seconds before adding, "you don't have to tell me im just curious. Though id like to hear exactly how you found me and why you chose to save me?" he lay shivering slightly staring at the boy, there was something oddly familiar about him, even though nami was sure he had never met gavin before in his life.

[Gavin]

"Arik is... or was my brother a long time ago. We had a close relationship."

Standing up, Gavin walked over to where Nami laid on his bed and looked down at him.

"It meant more to me though. Much more. And yet here you are again. I couldn't do anything for you then but now I can. I couldn't just let you die. But now that you're here... I can tell you what I've held on to for so long..."

Bending over, he whispered, "I love you," before capturing Nami's lips in his own.

Nami was stunned by the kiss but very quickly melted into it his tongue slowly began to explore gavins mouth, thats when he truly recoiled. "F-Fangs?" he said aloud holding his tongue after spiking it on the sharp teeth inside gavins mouth. "Y-Your teeth." it slowly fell into place, the cold skin, the strength, the fact it was his fault nami was so anemic. "YOURE A VAMPIRE?!" he fell from the bed as his recoil took him off balance and he banged his head on the floor

[Gavin]

"It wasn't my choice Nami."

Gavin looked down at Nami with red eyes that didn't seem as hard as they were. Gently he picked the boy up and laid him back on the bed.

"It's my fault that you're as weak as you are. Not even with the control I have could I withstand that much blood. I don't know who you are but I can't let you go. I lost you before but this time I can do something. You may not be Arik but I still love you the same as I did."

He smiled softly and laid his hand on Nami's.

"You don't seem to have much of a problem with being with a guy so why not give me a chance?"

Nami could tell that gavin was telling the truth and there was just something about the way nami felt around gavin that just felt, well, right. something about him just made nami feel at ease. Nami grasped the hand that was on his. "O-ok" he said blushing "Id like that" he hid his face in his hands almost immediately afterwards. once more wondering how he had the blood to supply his blush this way

[Gavin]

"Don't hide your face, Nami. That's why I'm in love with you."

He reached down and gently pried Nami's hands from his face. He gently kissed the boy's lips, his hand going down to one of the bandages on Nami's chest.

Pulling away for a second, he softly tapped the bandage.

"Be careful when you do this. And only when I'm around. Because if you do, its mine."

He kissed Nami again.
