*Eureka Academy:Second Semester*

OOC: sorry for being tardy i was under the impression that i had been railroaded/godmodded out of the story for the time being, and was as such focussing on sorting out my travels home and my lab report. If anyone needs to interject at some point during my story please do i was just trying to grab as many loose ends as i could, anything i ignore i figured was going along outside of her and didn't require attention (or i just forgot about:P)

IC:
Finishing the last of her cheese burger while introductions were made by Prince Nelson, Nova took a swig of her drink to wash all the little pieces out of her mouth and give herself some time to collect her thoughts.

This was a cafeteria and while she felt a strong urge to give some kind of attitude adjustment one does not simply give detention to the discom. Sets the wrong example and challenges their authority in front of the students. That said they had just challenged HER authority in front of the students, which was worse... Detention might be out, a dressing down in front of witnesses was not...

"First of all, Ms Fel, while i recognize the good work you and yours do keeping the school safe, relatively quiet, and generally keeping the students in line. It does seem you have made a SLIGHT miscalculation, you are addressing me as a [/i]STUDENT[/i]. Which i could condone if you were unsure of my standing, however since prince Nelson has told you, this seems unlikely. Which leads me to one of two inescapable conclusions, A) you are less diplomatic then someone in your post should be. or B) you are diplomatic enough to do your job properly and just don't CARE that you are speaking to your "superior officer". Now the first case could probably be cured with a simple lesson in etiquette, the second one would be more problematic. I see no easy fixes for that other then you seriously reconsidering your position and place in the discom.

Now at this same time, you are very disrespectful to my guest and a visting dignitary, someone you could conciser an ambassador of the court of King Nelson. This is the sort of behavior of which serious international incidents are made. I am sure you will be apologizing for your utter lack of social graces to his royal majesty. You are also threatening his person with some sort of reprimand that is WELL outside your remit to act. He was civil, polite, and offered a gift. a tribute if you will, to you and yours. And how is he treated? With nothing short of disdain.

And for what reason? Because he has a pipe to hand, and an unfortunate choice of words? If that is problematic then i suspect you are going to want to crack down on most of the upper class men here. I have seen plenty of people carrying around cigarettes and roll up tobacco and things of that nature, but are you cracking down on them? NO, you seem to be exclusively cracking down on the only non humanoid on campus. Some might consider this race or even speciesism... You might like to take a page from Miss Briller's book who seems to have a good grasp of diplomacy....." Nova spoke, although speaking wasn't really a good description, an oration might be better. Speaking with passion and verve and attracting quite a bit of attention to herself and what she was doing here.

"I am Nova Carmine one of the instructors at this academy, and this is my guest Prince Horatio Nelson Charles the Third, and also a member of staff here miss Briller. Excuse me for involving you in this but your boss, Ms Fel here is rather lacking in all forms of diplomatic courtesy... Is that chicken Alfredo? I haven't had that in years... I could show you this place in Rome, but that';s a story for another time, you should drop by my office some time I'll tell you all about it. " Nova said dropping back to a normal civil tone, the audience quickly loosing their interest now that the drama seemed to be over. A teacher dressing down a discom member might not be something you saw every day, a teacher having a polite conversation with a student, well that went on more or less 24/7 here in Eureka.

Atleast they were going backto their dinners before the headmaster turned up and without preamble launched into a speech. After he was done Nova replied to him,

"Aah headmaster, you are just in time I was explaining to your chosen students the merits of not making false assumptions and diplomacy. Although it seems you are suffering from a similar problem. "A round of drinks" seems to have been misinterpreted broadly, not entirely unexpected given the unfortunate choice of words perhaps.
You were Krell's brother? My condolences. He was a good man, if one who failed to listen to qualified advisers which led to him getting killed. But i am sure you wont make that same mistake.
That said, my "pet octopus" as you call him is a member of your staff, he is your instructor in "Study and cultivation of conventional abilities" and as such he is more then qualified and entitled to be here. Not to mention his diplomatic standing as an official ambassador to his father the King." Nova said puling out her UNIVID and showing it around, it now being utterly indistinguishable from a diplomatic passport issued in the UK
"But i suspect it an honest mistake. As for the way your brother ran things, i do not know but last year teachers were allowed to use the only dining hall on campus, i have had dinner myself here previously. Granted not on a night as busy as this one but still... I was seated right over there in point of fact" Nova said gesturing to the table she had sat at. "But i suspect you might like to explain to the students here exactly how they are supposed to treat teachers...

After the headmaster left without any form of social niceties and proceeded to torture a student on the way out for no more reason than "just because i can" a well dressed young man appeared.
"Aah you must be the young man who wrote the note, well dressed, well groomed, I was merely seeking an open table for me to ave some dinner and get to meet your friends, this seems to have turned into a bit of a S.N.A.F.U. but I'll be going momentarily. I know when i am not welcome somewhere. Your friends will be able to fill you in on what has happened." Nova said picking up her garbage, dropping a few bills on the table, "Have that drink on me, i insist." before dropping her garbage into the compactor and leaving the cafeteria as though nothing of any importance or note had just happened.

VEERLE SHINJA

The girl let out an explosive breath of annoyance. "You bore me. You're not even worth my effort. But believe me, if your presence here begins to cause my Committee any trouble, they are on no holds barred to set it right. That includes detaining YOU if they so feel the need. You can play the victim all you want but the students here have every damn right to be angry at you, Judas." And with that, the girl allowed her power to build into her legs before she grabbed up her blazer and weapons and leapt from the roof.

Fucking Orion, her mind was seething as she landed softly on the ground, close to a red sect, slipping her arms back into her blazer. He'd get his comeuppance one day and she didn't give a damn if he let himself believe he'd won this round. She just didn't have the time for him to play dodgeball.

No, she had other things to be doing. Letting out a sigh, she flipped her hair back into her bun and hid her sais and daggers within it as per. Whilst Veerle would have liked nothing more than to destroy the little traitor, she would have to wait. More important people to see; such as her committee for example, and possibly Raistlin if he was loitering somewhere...

Veerle decided to drop by the Cafeteria. Just in time it seemed. She strode up behind the other DisCom members with a pleasant smile on her face. Just before the Teacher could leave, Veerle piped up, seemingly unnoticed and hidden behind her comrades, as she slid to the door.

"Miss Carmine, if you have a problem with any member of the Disciplinary Committee, I ask that you forward your complaints to myself. 'Ms Fel' as you keep putting it is actually Delijah Fei so if you are going to dress down a student, please call them by their correct name. Delijah is my Vice. I do not appreciate you talking down to my Committee when they are just doing their job. And please, do not accuse her of singling out your companion because he is not humanoid. That is a form of racism and I can assure you that my committee do not discriminate. So in future, come to ME, rather than talking down to them and disrespecting them in front of their fellow students. They have a reputation to keep. Thank you, very much."

Without giving the teacher time to retort, the girl strode back towards her Committee. "Sorry I'm so late." It was all she said as she gave the cafeteria a sweeping glance. Things currently seemed to be in order.

HITOKI GEKITSOU

A small smile graced Hitoki's face. That sounded like a rather grand idea, did it not? "I like that idea," he purred, nuzzling the other boy's neck. He allowed his tail to caress the boy's cheek as he gave him a hug.

Releasing him and stepping back a little, he allowed his eyes to rest on Mishra, fangs peeking from beneath his lip as he smirked. A rather good looking fellow, was he not? Hitoki thought so at least. How come they had never met before now? It would always be a mystery...

ARIA KITAMURA

Aria wasn't a hundred per cent sure if she liked airships... The girl stood staring at it. She couldn't deny that it was a work of genius... but she preferred to leap at great heights at her own peril rather than be cooped up with other students, completely unaware of what may happen...

"Hmmm..." she murmured, eyes drifting to the skies. The Songbird hadn't noticed that it had changed from a soft blue to a gradually deepening navy. Her acute eyesight picked out the stars, a small smile curving the corner of her lips as she found the familiar constellations, finding comfort and solace in them. At least they were unchanging, unlike everything else around her.

She disliked changed. It meant having to get adjusted to something time and time again and whilst she had no problems in doing so, it was just tiring. Such as now... the Academy floating when it hadn't been before. It was going to make her work more difficult, most often than not... but she would adapt to it as usual.

Perhaps she should go get dinner. It sounded like a good idea and the angry growl from her stomach punctuated the thought. Definately a good idea.

She strode towards the cafeteria, past the rooftops where a series of students were gathered, staring up. A girl in a discom blazer dropped down not far from her, muttering to herself as she strode off. Aria recognized her vaguely from last semester but had never actually conversed with her. Nor did she intend to take the time out to do so now. No, she needed food.

The assassin slipped into the cafeteria, pointed at the tuna pasta dish and took it with a forced pleasant smile. Flipping her fuchsia hair over her shoulder, she slid into a chair at a table not too close too, but not too far from the other students already eating and delved into her meal. She hadn't even realised how hungry she was.

OOC: NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO GOT NINJA'd. Btw Vikki. I think we made it go Leader, Vice, First chair, second chair, then 3rd chair. Order of speechs may be a bit off, but i tried to get everything in from your ninja post Vikki

Delijah

Fei was beginning to converse with her fellow DisCO members when Ms Carmine decided to interject and make her thoughts known to her.

"First of all, Ms Fel, while i recognize the good work you and yours do keeping the school safe, relatively quiet, and generally keeping the students in line. It does seem you have made a SLIGHT miscalculation, you are addressing me as a STUDENT. Which i could condone if you were unsure of my standing, however since prince Nelson has told you, this seems unlikely. Now the first case could probably be cured with a simple lesson in etiquette, the second one would be more problematic. I see no easy fixes for that other then you seriously reconsidering your position and place in the discom.

Now, the teacher was plain getting on her nerves. But Delijah kept her poker face.

Ms Carmine. You do realise that being a teacher makes non what so ever difference in the applications of the rule. Being a teacher does not mean that you are allowed to skip over the rule. In any case, if this is about the table issue, its more manners than anything that you do not go and take someone else's seat when it is reserved. In addition, i am afraid you have mixed the DisCo with something. It is not our job to be diplomatic. We state the rules, and we enforce it. As simple as that. If you want diplomatic, that would be the StuCo's section. We do NOT negotiate with rule breakers. For that matter, you are not my superior officer in that sense. Superior Officer would hint that you are part of the DisCo but since you are not, that term is inappropriate.

Then Delijah narrowed her brows slightly. She did not like threats, even if its from a teacher. Sure as a teacher, Delijah should cooperate, but Delijah failed to see how she has breached any rules that would have made her lose her post.

NO, you seem to be exclusively cracking down on the only non humanoid on campus. Some might consider this race or even speciesism... You might like to take a page from Miss Briller's book who seems to have a good grasp of diplomacy....."

As i said. You are not my superior officer. If you feel any displeasure with me, please report me to Ms Veerle or the headmaster. However, you do not hold the position to outright influence my position directly, so as of such, point B seems rather invalid. I have merely stated general rules that are to be followed and nothing more, as per my job. I was merely stating, in a normal manner that he should watch where he smokes, should he choose to smoke, and that alcohol is not permitted on campus for students should he have such intention. If both Prince Nelson or yourself feel that my response to his offer was disdain, then i would apologise. Being terse and straight forward is just the way i speak. I will apologise for misunderstanding, but i will not change how i speak. As for reprimand, i state again, no one is above the rules. I was merely stating the rules and should he fail to follow so, then the appropriate actions shall be taken.

In this case for the smoke, that would be asked to extinguish it if he is smoking within non smoking zone as well as a formal complaint to the Headmaster. As for the other students, unless you wish us to tail and body search each and every single student at every single period of every single day, then would like you to know that it is quite impossible to crack down and eliminate every single bit of contraband in the entire school . In fact, i really have to ask you to retract the statement about me cracking down on only non humanoids. That is near close to calling me racists, which i am not. I apologise if i may seem terse, but i do believe you are overreacting to me merely reminding Prince Nelson of our rules. If you indeed feel displeasure at me, feel free to take this to the Headmaster. I stand by my actions.

Delijah was feeling rather indignant. She felt that Ms Carmine was being hysterical over a few simple reminders of rules and regulations. Sure she knew maybe her voice was being to professional and blunt, but the way she machine gunned her retorts, Delijah really couldn't help but feel that the woman had made a mountain out of a mole hill. But Delijah stood by her words. If she felt anything was unfair or whatever, then she would argue her case with the headmaster, just like any court. Should she truly be proven to have broken rules, then any punishment that may follow, she would accept.

"Miss Carmine, if you have a problem with any member of the Disciplinary Committee, I ask that you forward your complaints to myself. 'Ms Fel' as you keep putting it is actually Delijah Fei so if you are going to dress down a student, please call them by their correct name. Delijah is my first seat.

And in came the cavalry. Veerle came in just in time to support her. As much as Delijah was used to dealing with delinquent students, confronting a teacher was something Delijah wasn't too keen on, nor confident. Delijah's heart relaxed when Ms Carmine left the cafeteria.

"Sorry I'm so late."

Jesus... talk about overreacting, but i stand by what i said. I do not care who it is. Break the rule and we act. Students, we deal with ourselves. Teachers, we tell them upfront of their rule breaking and hand it over to the Headmaster. Remember this Alyss. Teachers do not get it off easy.

All of a sudden, Delijah felt tired and the small girl leaned back into her chair, dropped her head backwards and massaged the ridge of her nose. She could have done without meeting Ms Carmine today. She felt tired. Her greeting to Athena, Bartholomew and
Veerle showed this, but at Veerle, she did straighten her head back up.

Hey Athena...Hey Bar.... tholomew.... Hello Veerle. Take a seat anywhere. Table is finally quiet again. Had to have a fight with a teacher didn't I.... bad example....

It really wasnt. She was the Vice Leader and because of her pride, she couldn't swallow the false accusations and had to defend herself.

Thanks anyway Veerle. I'm not too good with dealing with teachers. But in any case. Everyone, this is Athena Hale, first chair and Veerle Shinja, Committee leader. Veerle, Athena, Estelle Briller, our new second chair and Bartholomew Members, the new third chair. The Red Sect is Alyss Mithrandir. She is just joining us for dinner.

Leaves brushed Lily's arms as she moved over the Ways, the magical paths that only the immortal race of the Fey used, the sun was high and warm while the sent of flowers filled the air. Still despite the calming effect of the flowers Lily felt a little nervous inside, after all this was the first time she would be in the mortal lands by herself. Not only that she would be living amongst them for the next few years.
After a few hours of walking Lily sensed a change in the air, she was getting closer to her destination, the heavy scent of human civilization filled her nostrils; it would take some getting used too. Suddenly the sun seemed to dim and the scent of flowers disappeared completely, Lily had left the Ways and was now standing on the edge of a forest. In front of her was Eureka Academy the stone structure was quite big. Not as big as the palace of Queen Titania but still a respectable size for an institute of learning.

Lily strode towards the gates as she was observed by many eyes, everyone who saw her stopped their current work to gaze upon the Nymph many with longing in their eyes. As Lily entered the gates she felt cold, there were many people with power in here and not all seemed to be ones she would be getting along with. But to Lily living, and getting along to a certain level, with the mortal races was one of the things she was here to learn. She saw a man sitting behind a desk beneath a sign saying 'Information' Lily moved up to him and asked:
“Greetings, I'm Lily of the summer court would you be so kind to show me to my quarters?”
The man stared at her with an open mouth for several second before a clumpy reply came, as he tried to both look at Lily and not show his true feelings.
“S..S..Sure, I mean yes.” He picked up a paper shoving a couple of others from the table and read out loud: “Go to the red dorm down there.. no wait there. And then its the 3rd door to the left... no wait right.”
“Thank you.” Lily said with a soft giggle and she walked to her dorm room. On the way the stares continued. Lily glanced at her fellow students. She could feel magic from many of them also many of them carried themselves as if they could fend for themselves in a fight.
Lily also noticed that there were quite a few cute looking boys and girls amongst them, Lily wondered if they would become her friends.

Lily closed the door behind her and walked through her dorm room. Her belongings from home had been brought here in advance by the fey of the forests around Eureka Academy. Lily sat down on the bed and felt the smooth silk sheets. Lily noticed outside the sun began to set, she knew soon sleep would overwhelm her so she pulled the skirt and blazer from her body and hang them over a chair before wrapping her body in the sheets and falling asleep.

OOC:
I'll start the next post as being on the same day as the rest is.

Raistlin Majere

The fight was otherwise over. Orion had proved that he wouldn’t fight, and preferred dancing around like a dancer at a strip club. Chuckling at his own joke, Raistlin watched as Vee left and walked to the cafeteria. “Well, I suppose that’s where I’m headed then,” Raistlin said to himself, as he decided to walk to the cafeteria instead of teleporting there.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Alyss Mithrandir

Alyss simply sat there as events unfolded the way that they did, she didn’t know what to do, or say. On one hand, there was a teacher who was, for lack of a better term, rather angry at a Disciplinary Committee member. Alyss had wanted to say something, but with her social anxiety, she knew she would only succeed in folding like a lawn chair. It eventually reached a point where Ms. Carmine called Delijah a racist simply for reminding the octopus of the rules.

Of course, Delijah came to her own defense, which at this point was no longer a surprise to Alyss. She found herself; once again, admiring Delijah’s bravery as she fearlessly defended herself against the teacher. Delijah’s logic was rather sound, and in all honesty, Alyss couldn’t see why the teacher was angry anyway. She was the one that came to the table uninvited, she was the one who brought the Octopus, and the Octopus was the one that was smoking and offering to buy drinks. Carmine couldn’t be all that angry, when one offers to buy drinks, 99% of the people in the world will assume it means something alcoholic.

However, even as Alyss sat thinking about it, she simply couldn’t conjure up the bravery to speak up. She simply sat there, playing with her fingers and looking at her mostly empty Chicken Alfredo plate.

It was then that someone else came in, and Alyss recognized her to be another one of the people that were on the roof during the fight. In fact, it was one of the people participating in the fight. She didn’t take a seat yet, but spoke out against the teacher in the Disciplinary Committee’s defense. “Miss Carmine, if you have a problem with any member of the Disciplinary Committee, I ask that you forward your complaints to myself.”

Alyss looked up at her from her plate. Yet another member of the Committee that was amazing. Are they all like this? Alyss thought. I guess this is part of the reason why they all made it on… Alyss couldn’t help but think that each and every member on the committee was amazing. It made one thing very clear: Alyss didn’t want to make any of them her enemy.

“’Ms. Fel’ as you keep putting it is actually Delijah Fei so if you are going to dress down a student, please call them by their correct name. Delijah is my Vice. I do not appreciate you talking down to my Committee when they are just doing their job. And please, do not accuse her of singling out your companion because he is not humanoid. That is a form of racism and I can assure you that my committee do not discriminate. So in the future, come to ME, rather than talking down to them and disrespecting them in front of their fellow students. They have a reputation to keep. Thank you, very much.”

As the teacher left, the girl walked back towards the table. “Sorry I’m so late” was all she said as she glanced around the cafeteria. Suddenly, Delijah spoke up again, “Jesus… talk about overreacting, but I stand by what I said. I do not care who it is. Break the rule and we act. Students, we deal with ourselves. Teachers, we tell them upfront of their rule breaking and hand it over to the Headmaster. Remember this Alyss. Teachers do not get it off easy.”

Alyss simply nodded her head and stared in admiration of the Committee. Delijah leaned back in her chair and dropped her and massaged her nose. “Hey Athena… Hey Bar… tholomew… Hello Veerle. Take a seat anywhere. Table is finally quiet again. Had to have a fight with a teacher didn’t I… bad example…” There was a slight pause before she continued.

“Thanks anyway Veerle. I’m not too good with dealing with teachers. But in any case. Everyone this is Athena Hale, first chair and Veerle Shinja, Committee leader. Veerle, Athena, Estrella Briller, our new second chair and Bartholomew Members, the new third chair. The Red Sect is Alyss Mithrandir. She is just joining us for dinner.”

Alyss nodded her head, “h-hello”. It was all she managed to spit out. She was still somewhat nervous, and after the abundance of confrontation, her heart was still somewhat racing because of it. “Ms… Veerle, was it? I-it is very nice to make your acquaintance.”

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Raistlin Majere
It was just before he strode into the cafeteria that Raistlin noticed the small black marks on his hands. It was probably due to the teleporting, but the marks would show up when he started to use too much power. However, the marks were small, meaning that he could still use his powers for quite some time before it did any kind of damage, but it was still a little aggravating to look at. Paying it little mind, he opened the cafeteria door and started looking around.

Students… students everywhere, Raistlin thought as he saw just how packed the cafeteria was. He wasn’t particularly hungry, but he was rather thirsty. Walking over to the drink stand, he grabbed a simple coke and put a straw in it. Turning around, that’s when he saw her… Veerle was sitting at a table with the rest of the Disciplinary Committee. Well, I suppose it’s time I get this out of the way and pay my respects. Raistlin thought.

Walking over, he simply stood next to the table, making it clear he didn’t plan on pulling up a chair and interrupting things. “Good evening, everyone,” and then with a slight pause he looked at Veerle, “and Veerle.” Looking back at the table as a whole, he noticed a few new faces, a boy and two girls, one of which was an Elf. “I do hope everything is going well.”

Nami nodded as he took in what gavin had said about the cutting, he fekt that it really had to stop, and now that he had someone to care about other than himself he might be able to stop it he cuddled up to the creature of the night and held him close, leting the weakness take him into the realms of dreams and fantasies. a place where he seldom felt sfe enough to letr himself wander. He slipped into deep sleep with the warmth of gavins figure beside him and dreampt, it was a happy dream, the happiest dream he could remember, of a time when everything had been ok and safe, he was just a child back then when IT happened...

[Mishra]

"Alright then. I'll be taking you my room."

Reaching out, he took hold of Toki's hand and drew him in close for a kiss before leading him through the wall and taking him across campus. Ignoring the teeming, masses of students entering and leaving the cafeteria. Taking him up the stairs to his black sect room, he opened it up.

For a mad alchemist it was...normal. Blue walls and a large bed whose covers looked like they had never been used though there was a dip in the center liek someone had curled up there and fallen asleep. Along one side was a desk and a rack of sealed phials against the wall, each labeled. Next to the desk was a small icebox. In one corner was a small table with two chairs.

Leading Hitoki to the table, he gestured to one of the chairs for Toki to sit in.

"I think I may have some fish if that's what you want. I think. There may be other things. Like a ham."

[Gavin]

Sliding into the bed next to Nami, he felt him wrap his arms around his waist and cuddle with him. To be honest, Gavin didn't know what to do. He had held onto that singular emotion that he had no idea what he would do after; he never even thought he would get past it.

He reached up a hand and, carefully, let it run through Nami's hair a few times before holding him close and kissing his forehead. he would do what it took. He'd been givien a second chance and he wasn't going to lose it.

Laying there next to Nami, he simply watched him sleep, awaiting the morning.

When Estrella had planned on letting Ms Carmine voice out what she had to say in response to Delijah's warning, this wasn't what she had in mind. She had stayed quiet as the teacher had seemed to endlessly go on about the vice leader being rude and disrespectful and. . .racist? That definitely wasn't the case. Estrella was well aware that Delijah was only giving the instructor a brief warning about what wasn't permitted in the school, and she was getting an entire lecture in retort back from the red-headed woman.

"I have seen plenty of people carrying around cigarettes and roll up tobacco and things of that nature, but are you cracking down on them? NO, you seem to be exclusively cracking down on the only non humanoid on campus. Some might consider this race or even speciesism... You might like to take a page from Miss Briller's book who seems to have a good grasp of diplomacy....."

Estrella blinked at the sudden mention of her name. She had a feeling that if Delijah was as discriminating as Ms Carmine seemed to be accusing her of, she would be getting mistreated if she and the rest of DisCom already knew of her hereditary differences. The teacher was going way overboard with her reason, but Estrella didn't say that out loud, not wanting to risk having the circumstance heat even further. She had taken another swallow of her juice as the other woman went on.

I could show you this place in Rome, but that's a story for another time, you should drop by my office some time I'll tell you all about it. "

"I realize that you are. . .offended by the rule that Delijah has elaborated on, but I assure you, Miss Carmine, if Prince Nelson had been a human like the rest of us while we still didn't know of his status, he wouldn't have been treated any nicer or rudely than he is now."

She glanced over at the octopus for a minute, wondering what he was thinking currently since Nova had been doing most of the talking from what she's heard since she arrived at the table. She got confused for a minute when she mentioned the chicken Alfredo, but then realized she was referring to Alyss' dish, which was mostly empty by now. The situation must have been completely awkward for the poor girl, as if it wasn't hard enough on the rest of the committee. But Estrella kept her poker face as she continued to eat her meal, trying to overlook the situation at hand, but soon a new voice had sounded from near them. Another female voice at that.

This was all said to Miss Carmine before she could depart from the table. Now that the two staff members had left, the last remaining seat was available for the taking. So this is our leader. It was Veerle, from what she could identify. At this point, the entire Disciplinary Committee was now together at the table, hopefully with no more surprises.

"Hey Athena...Hey Bar.... tholomew.... Hello Veerle. Take a seat anywhere. Table is finally quiet again. Had to have a fight with a teacher didn't I.... bad example...."

It wasn't Delijah's fault, however. If Estrella had been in Miss Carmine's place, she wouldn't have reacted so illogically, and she was aware that no one - no matter what position they were in - was above the rules.

"Thanks anyway Veerle. I'm not too good with dealing with teachers. But in any case. Everyone, this is Athena Hale, first chair and Veerle Shinja, Committee leader. Veerle, Athena, Estrella Briller, our new second chair and Bartholomew Members, the new third chair. The Red Sect is Alyss Mithrandir. She is just joining us for dinner."

“H-hello. Ms… Veerle, was it? I-it is very nice to make your acquaintance.”

Estrella had nodded her head towards the DisCom leader in agreement with Alyss' statement, a small smirk forming on her lips. "It's alright. We're just glad you could make it. It's good to see that we're all together now, hopefully with no more unwanted surprises."

Her salad was nearly finished, and she had wondered what time it was. She had looked briefly at the wall in front of her, not seeing a clock nearby. She turned her body half around to see if there were any behind her, but instead she noticed another figure that approached their table out of nowhere.

“Good evening, everyone...and Veerle.”

It had better not have been another staff member wanting to negotiate with them. Then she slightly recognized some of the features of the man from when she had entered into the courtyard on her way to her dorm. Same white hair, same black robe, this must have been the person who rode the dragon out of nowhere.

“I do hope everything is going well.”

"Evening. There were some. . .unexpected surprises tonight. But now things seem to be moving smoothly." Estrella replied. She did wonder who this was. She didn't notice a blazer, but it seemed like he wasn't a teacher either. Looked too young to be one, anyway. As long as there weren't going to be anymore disputes, Estrella was fine with passerby greeters.

Pushing through the double doors, Rosalynn entered in the cafeteria, surprised to see that it had been stuffed with students and several staff already. This didn't lower her hopes, however, and she walked over to where the food was made and customized. She did come in rather late, so she would probably have to make something that she could eat quickly. After all, she wanted to tour the rest of the school before curfew - if there even was one; if there was, well, that was actually the least of her concerns. There couldn't have been anyone planning on patrolling the school during the late hours, could there? On the food stands, she prepared herself a buffalo chicken and ranch wrap as she chose to wonder about that later on as well.

She put the wrap in a napkin so that there would be a low chance of sauce getting leaked onto her hands and turned around as she looked around the cafeteria, searching for a spot to sit. There was a fair amount of students of all the different sects. There was a large mass of blue sect students, a good capacity of red sect students, and several black sect students eating around. She noticed a couple of people wearing white blazers, and a whole table of people wearing yellow blazers. She probably didn't look into the school brochure enough to find out who those people were, so she would later on before she went to bed.

Within a moment, she spotted an empty seat. It was in a table where two girls, one with matching black hair and cyan hair, had sat. Both of them were from the blue sect, so she wondered if they would think of her intimidating if she were to to sit with them. After all, she really wasn't, and she had learned to always be courteous on a first meet basis; so these girls had no reason to not welcome her company. With the risk of other students preparing their food and noticing the spot as well, she immediately walked towards the area, smiling as she flicked a hair back in place.

"Mind if I sit with you girls?" She asked politely, already taking a bite out of her wrap. "I realize I'm a tad bit late for dinner, so this is the only available seat that I can see in this crowd."

Veerle's keen eyes rested on Delijah as the girl leant in her chair, looking somewhat exhausted. Poor girl, a confrontation with Miss Carmine was the last thing she needed on the first day back. She was, however, impressed with the way the girl had handled the situation. It was nice to know her Committee were far more than capable of the job they had been given.

"Hey Athena... Hey Bar... tholomew.... Hello Veerle. Take a seat anywhere. Table is finally quiet again. Have to have a fight with a teacher didn't I... bad exampe... Thanks anyway Veerle. I'm not too good with dealing with teachers. But in any case. Everyone, this is Athena Hale, first chair and Veerle Shinja, Committee Leader. Veerle, Athene, Estrella Briller, our new second chair and Bartholomew Members, the new third char. The Red Sect is Alyss Mithrandir. She is just joining us for dinner."

"H-hello. Ms... Veerle, was it? I-it is very nice to make your acquaintance."

Veerle allowed her piercing eyes to drift to the Red Sect, Alyss, first, as Estrella's voice brushed her hearing.

"It's alright. We're just glad you could make it. It's good to see that we're all together now, hopefully with no more unwanted surprises."

Veerle gave the elf a gentle smile. Seemed like she was a little nervous about something. "Nice to meet you, Alyss," she said calmly. "You're in good company with my companions." The smile widened slightly as she looked over at the two new members of the Committee. "Welcome to the Committee Estrella and Bartholomew. Nice to have you on board. And Delijah, do not worry about Carmine. If she happens to make a complaint, I'll deal with it. You did your job perfectly."

She let out a gentle sigh. "Unwanted surprises... Orion was a surprise I wasn't wanting..." she muttered under her breath as another voice, masculine, tickled her ears.

"Good evening, everyone ... and Veerle."

Why was she being singled out by name?

"I do hope everything is going well."

That voice was oh so familiar...

"Evening. There were some... unexpected surprises tonight. But now things seem to be moving smoothly."

Veerle's eyes closed for a moment as her head turned to the source of the male voice. They opened slowly and for a moment she thought she was in a dream. Yet she was almost certain she wasn't... There, stood before her, was one the person she had wanted to see more than anything. And yet, as she stared at him, she wanted to hit him.

"Talk about surprises..." she said calmly, her expression and tone completely level, no emotion showing in it despite the glint of longing in her eyes. "This is certainly one surprise I don't think I was quite ready for..." To explain to the newcomers who may not have none who this young man was, she finally spoke his name. "R..." it caught in her throat before finally breaking free and tumbling from her lips. "Raistlin... former leader of our Committee."

Veerle wasn't entirely sure how to react to him. One the one hand she was so damn pleased to see him yet on the other, after the sacrifice he had made, she wanted to whack him right in his face. How could he do such a thing to himself? She said nothing for a moment, emotions conflicting with each other, eyes never leaving Raistlin's face.

She almost laughed. The tightening in her chest confirmed how she felt but she refused to show it. The warrior needed to be sure he was actually. Despite knowing she wasn't dreaming, he may have just been some adrenaline forced hallucination. She stood and moved around to him, reaching out and brushing her fingers lightly against a face. Her next words were barely audible, only so much so that Raistlin and those with intense hearing would hear her. "It really is you..."

Clearing her throat, she turned her eyes to the Committee. "Delijah and Athena, I'm certain you remember Raistlin. Estrella, Bartholomew... meet Raistlin Majere. Raistlin, my new second and third chairs, Estrella Briller and Bartholomew Members. The pretty little red sect elf is a friend of ours, joining us for dinner, Alyss Mithrandir." The introductions were a way for her to divert attention from her slightly blushing cheeks (she hoped) and firmly onto Raistlin. After all, his name was one all students should know...

Raistlin Majere
“Evening,” came a voice from the silver haired girl. “There were some… unexpected surprises tonight. But now things seem to be moving smoothly.” Raistlin was somewhat pleased to hear that. Things were under control, meaning that everything was going as it should be. However, it also meant that Raistlin was doomed to be bored, at least for tonight. Raistlin was just about to reply when Veerle slowly started speaking. “Talk about surprises…” She said, calmly and smoothly.

It was at times like these that Raistlin started to hate his head for. On one hand, he was happy to see her, yet on the other, he was completely clueless on how to react. As logical as he was, when it came to the confines of the human mind, he was as incompetent as a newborn. Of course, the complications with the Faceless man didn’t exactly help his case much. “This is certainly one surprise I don’t think I was quite ready for…” There was a slight pause as she began explaining to the rest of the table who he was. “R…” She began. And yet, another slight pause. Raistlin thought. “Raistlin… former leader of our Committee.”

Raistlin simply nodded his head in confirmation. Though Delijah and Athena obviously wouldn’t need it, the others would. It was shortly after, Veerle slowly started walking towards him. As she neared him, she touched his face, very lightly on the cheek. In all honesty, Raistlin really enjoyed that. In the last few months, the only physical contact that Raistlin received caused deep wounds and bruises. For the first time in six months, Raistlin experienced contact from someone that wasn’t trying to murder him. In a barely audible whisper, Veerle said, almost as if she were trying to reassure herself of the fact, “It really is you…”

In the same almost inaudible whisper, he replied, “Did you think something as small as lifting a school would kill me? It was child’s play.” He smiled as he said it, knowing that deep down, it really did almost kill him. A few more seconds of the pain and the blood loss that the Ouroboros caused would have easily ended his life. Continuing in an even lower whisper, “It’s… nice to see you.”

Quickly clearing her throat, she turned to the Committee. “Delijah and Athena, I’m certain you remember Raistlin. Estrella, Bartholomew… meet Raistlin Majere. Raistlin, me new second and third chairs, Estrella Briller and Bartholomew Members. The pretty little red sect elf is a friend of ours, joining us for dinner, Alyss Mithrandir.” Raistlin noticed that her cheeks were blushing ever so slightly. He couldn’t help but smile just a bit.

“Pleasure to meet you all,” Raistlin said. “Looks like I’ve got nothing to worry about when it comes to the Committee, I’m confident you’ll all do a good job.” Raistlin wasn’t usually this nice, but he did have to give credit where credit was due, they all looked as if they could hold their own. “Just between us, my ‘promotion’ has left me rather bored. Do try not to keep all the fun to yourselves.” Looking over at the Elf, “Making friends with the Disciplinary Committee already? Smart girl. I’m sure they’ll have your back if you ever need it them.”

Alyss Mithrandir
So that is who is his… Alyss thought. She looked over him for a little bit, and even in just doing that, she thought of him to be rather scary looking. She made yet another mental note in her head. If there is anyone on campus not to make an enemy of, I believe it to be him.

As Veerle introduced him, Alyss noticed that Veerle called her “pretty”. Blushing, Alyss simply smiled and closed her eyes in a slight fit of embarrassment. “Um… Pleasure to meet you, Mr. Majere.”

Then, in a surprise, he spoke to her directly. “Making friends with the Disciplinary Committee already? Smart girl.” He said. “I’m sure they’ll have you back if you ever need them.” Alyss was rather thankful for the reassurance. In fact, she was rather thankful for this entire evening. She had made a few good friends, and met quite a few interesting people. Sure, there were a few slip-ups, and a rather unpleasant couple of people to add to the cast of characters, but the pleasantries far outweighed the cons.

With the air cleared, and her feelings of anxiety gone, Alyss finished the last bit of her Chicken Alfredo.

Nicolo Zorzi

Without a word, Nicolo sat down next to the girl. Before taking a bite to eat, another girl put her tray on the table and sat, or rather leaned against the chair. Although it was dangerous because she would risk falling over and embarrassing herself, it appeared that she attained some degree of balance with her on the chair, more than he could possibly expect from himself, and he considered himself pretty good.

"Buongiorno, Signora." Nicolo said to the StuCo member with a smile on his face. "My name is Nicolo, what's yours?

(OOC: Crap post I know :sad3:)

Elaine Chevalier

Elaine looked around before finally seeing Raistlin. It appeared that he was talking with the DisCom, probably looking back at old times. She decided, that she may as well greet them. Elaine never was one who liked to get in trouble, and even as a member of the Student Council, she never did become acquainted with many of its members with the exception being Raistlin.

Walking over to their table, Elaine said, "Good evening, I hope everything is going well with you today?"

"You bore me. You're not even worth my effort. But believe me, if your presence here begins to cause my Committee any trouble, they are on no holds barred to set it right. That includes detaining YOU if they so feel the need. You can play the victim all you want but the students here have every damn right to be angry at you, Judas."

It seemed that Veerle had finally given up. She gave him a parting threat, as well as another comment about what he had done, and then left. Everyone else had gone as well, leaving the Diaga-Eureka student to be on his own. He decided against eating in the cafeteria. The reaction he had when he first arrived showed that it would be a very bad idea to go anywhere near heavily populated areas. Was there anything else he could do...

Meet with StuCo... no, it would be a very bad idea at this point. Let them cool a little longer. DisCo, he didn't want another run-in. The teachers were too stand-offish from the students for the most part, and he didn't need to accidentally anger one of them. The headmaster was obviously out, being even more outside of the student's lives then Krell was. Guess there was nothing to it. His throwing knives disappeared as he sat down on the roof and gazed up at the stars.

"All alone. As it always has been. Guess I may as well get the idea firmly planted in my head that there's no being social."

(OOC: Sorry for not quoting all the dialogue, I tried at first but I'm really confused :ness: So I hope this will do and that it doesn't totally suck eggs)
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Bartholomew was delighted to be meeting so many new people of influence this evening. And the palpable tension in the air especially intrigued him. No sooner had he greeted Ms. Carmine than she had left the table with the octopus, remarking that she didn't feel welcome and leaving some money on the table for them; apparently she had been asked to leave. Bartholomew had little time to wonder why before Delijah made a comment that explained things, at least in a nutshell.

Jesus… talk about overreacting, but I stand by what I said. I do not care who it is. Break the rule and we act. Students, we deal with ourselves. Teachers, we tell them upfront of their rule breaking and hand it over to the Headmaster. Remember this Alyss. Teachers do not get it off easy.”

Rule breaking, eh? It was odd for Bartholomew to think of himself as being able to do anything to keep a teacher in line, but he supposed that if something was clearly against school rules, it wouldn't hurt to report it to the headmaster, no matter who the person was. After all, he'd heard plenty of stories about regular schools where teachers had had inappropriate contact with students, and those teachers never would have been caught had one of the students not gone to the principal and reported the issue. Whatever worked was what had to be done, and that was really the end of it.

He took a sip of his smoothie as soon as he'd gotten comfortable. Although, he thought, of course, if the shoe was on the other foot, knowing himself all too well, he probably would also have felt irritated if he were reprimanded in front of the whole cafeteria, if he were in a teaching position. He probably wouldn't be caught socializing inappropriately, or attempting to use prohibited substances; but if he were a teacher, there were plenty of other things he himself might use the position for which most rule-enforcers might deem unscrupulous. And so, under those circumstances, he could fathom a rigorous DisCom monitoring him would be something of a nuisance, no matter how ethically right they were for doing so. Not to mention the fact that from the sound of it, their new headmaster was nothing more than a twelve-year-old boy...

Bartholomew sipped his smoothie calmly, and looked up as Veerle approached the table. All this was a lot to think about right now, and he needed to pay attention; there would be time for pondering when he went up to his room later. Delijah introduced everyone, including himself, when Veerle got there.

Bartholomew grinned politely at Veerle and nodded, as others at the table spoke up and engaged in their own formalities, and Veerle welcomed both him and Estrella. Amidst a flurry of dialogue, Raistlin Majere arrived at the table too; it was turning into quite the locale for VIPs, and Bartholomew was glad he had reserved it when he did.

"Good evening, everyone ... and Veerle. I do hope everything is going well."

Evening. There were some… unexpected surprises tonight. But now things seem to be moving smoothly.”

Talk about surprises…This is certainly one surprise I don’t think I was quite ready for...R...Raistlin... former leader of our Committee."

Bartholomew took a bite of chicken from his fork as he noticed Veerle and Raistlin whisper something to each other, and Veerle brush Raistlin's cheek with her hand. Hmm, that was interesting. Veerle then introduced him to the rest of them.

Delijah and Athena, I’m certain you remember Raistlin. Estrella, Bartholomew… meet Raistlin Majere. Raistlin, me new second and third chairs, Estrella Briller and Bartholomew Members. The pretty little red sect elf is a friend of ours, joining us for dinner, Alyss Mithrandir.”

Pleasure to meet you all. Looks like I’ve got nothing to worry about when it comes to the Committee, I’m confident you’ll all do a good job. Just between us, my ‘promotion’ has left me rather bored. Do try not to keep all the fun to yourselves.”

Bartholomew nodded to the man and smiled; his mouth was full of vegetables, so he couldn't quite get an answer out.

Um… Pleasure to meet you, Mr. Majere.”

Bartholomew looked to Alyss as she spoke up; he had a feeling she was probably overwhelmed by all the attention. Raistlin said something which Bartholomew was thinking at that very moment though, and which would probably make her feel more at ease.

Making friends with the Disciplinary Committee already? Smart girl. I’m sure they’ll have you back if you ever need them.”

"Good evening, I hope everything is going well with you today?"

Bartholomew noticed the arrival of a tall, red-haired young woman, Student Council member Elaine Chevalier. Since he hadn't really said much up to this point, Bartholomew swallowed what he was chewing, and took the opportunity to greet her verbally.

“Well, I think we got off to a bit of a rough start, but things seem to be going better now,” he said to Elaine with a pleasant grin. “I don't believe we've met, I'm Bartholomew Nembers, the new Disciplinary Committee Third Chair.”

He put down his fork for a minute to give her a small wave, then picked it back up again and returned to digging into his chicken. Thinking he should probably say something else to help lighten the general mood, he thought for a moment, then came up with the best small talk he could think of. “Boy, the food here never fails to impress me. Is everyone else's this good?”

OOC: Alrite. I think we should stop with the back quoting and start afresh with Raistlin's and Eliane's entrance. In any case, i think we should begin to wrap up soon. Rav, im getting maya to go back to the room first.

Delijah

Of course Delijah remembered Raistlin, her ex superior. She had the utmost respect for him, though that was that was hardly surprising. She had been under his command since she had gained a position in the DisCo. It was good to see him in the StuCo as she usually trusted his judgment, but it was still a devastating blow to their strength. Until Estrella and Bartholomew ran through a trial by fire. After all, they had to be able to wrestle the students into order, either through efficient diplomacy (or verbal diplomtaic threats) or via more physical means.

"Good evening, I hope everything is going well with you today?"

Delijah looked over at the the StuCo member Eliane Chevalier. From her memory and fromher database, Chevalier was a proficient hand to hand and unique weapons expert. Delijah herself has had little direct with the DisCo. It was mostly the leader that dealt with them. She gave Eliane a respectful nod of acknowledgment before she responded to Bartholomew.

“Boy, the food here never fails to impress me. Is everyone else's this good?”

The lunch ladies are really nice. They often sneak me extra food, like the fish and chips and rabbit shaped beef patti.... ahem... i mean like extra salad and focaccias.

Damnit... im slipping! This is even worse than in Semester one! Deep breathe.... in... out... in.... out....okay..

Perhaps it was the airship travel or that all that hustle and bustle with it being the first day has made her concentration break, but that was twice within an hour, a major folly by her books at any level. It was getting late however. Perhaps it was getting close past her bed time? Her Aunt and Uncle had been insisting she recuperate and sleep early after she told them about the war with Daiga. Perhaps she needed a sleep pattern restructure?

Now that i think about it... my eyes are feeling a tad bit heavy

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Escaflowne
"Buongiorno, Signora. My name is Nicolo, what's yours?
Escaflowne shifted her eyes towards the Italian that had approached her table that she shared with a Red Sect student. From memory, she remembered seeing this girl on their fateful boat mission, which this girl transported them onto.
I think she was Phelda's sister.... Pharra? Was that her name?
Well, hello Nicolo. Names Escaflowne Zraith. First Year?
With a lot of students coming and going due to the war, it was hard to remember who was here from the beginning or who just transferred in. However, the least she could do, even if she was lazy, was try and remember the students. By using most of her higher function thoughts to remember student names and faces would make more use of her powerful brain rather than let it just sit and "rot" so to speak. For a second, she turned her attention to Pharra.
And im guessing you are Pharra? Phelda's sister? Remember me from Semester one? We woke you in the middle of the morning for some assistance?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Maya

"I'm probably kind of out of place as well, isn't it?"

Nonsense. I prefer to call it individuality. Unlike me, i'm one among the masses.

Maya gave a kind of joking depressed face as she said she was normal, but giving the school population, it was more correct to say that SHE herself was out of place. There were more unique individuals than normal. So much that "normal" students like her was out of place. Perhaps this place was for the gifted and talented? From her memory, Veerle san seemed like a very gifted athlete and the DisCo was littered with a varying variety of individuals. If they were Veerle san's comrades, then they themselves must be impressive in their own rights.

In her own thoughts, Maya let a yawn slip. She was pooped from moving all her guitars as well as the flying trip. Rather than sleeping to recover from last nights packing and last minute worries, she gaped at the view that rushed past her window. Now, Maya was feeling rather sleepy.

Gomennasai Eluniel san, but i think im feeling a bit sleepy. I might go back to our room first. Please excuse me. I will see you in there later if i am not asleep. Oyasumi nasai.

Getting to her feet, she gave a bow to her friend before walking out of the room. Maya had to shake the sleep off herself enough so that she could make it back to her room. Upon opening the door, Maya found out she was the first to return. The rack of 8 guitars, now nine with Lucille back in its stand, brought a smile to her heart before Maya promptly flopped onto her bed, still in uniform.

Woah.... deja vu..... This seems oddly familiar.... Oh well... i'll lie here for a sec, then ill get up and change...

She subconsciously new it wasnt going to happen and as soon as her thought was finished, Maya clonked out, in a deep sleep

(OOC: Sorry, guys. I’ve got to get crap moving along with Alyss before the time skip. I want to make sure everything goes smoothly for her, after all. :grin: Short post, but it kind of has to be for the next few plans to go into effect. :ryan:)
Alyss Mithrandir

Alyss was long since finished with her food. All the lay before her now was an empty plate that contained the remains of her Chicken Alfredo. Everyone seemed very nice, and in all reality, they all were. Well, save for the two teachers. She insisted that she had never met anyone ruder in her life. However, she was sure that in time, she would eventually meet someone that took that title away from her. However, she was sure that she wouldn’t meet them here.

Now, as much as she was afraid of being rude, she was also afraid of being too late to explore that library again. She really hoped that she wouldn’t make her hosts angry, but it was time for her to leave. “I-I am really sorry, but I really want to explore the library before it closes for the evening. If… if you do not mind, I will be taking my leave now.”

She made a deep bow before she left the table. “You have all been very kind, and I hope to see you all around campus again. Ms. Shinja, Ms. Fei, Ms. Hale, Ms. Briller, Mr. Nembers, and Mr. Majere… T-thank you all for a wonderful evening, I hate to leave like this… but my excitement is eating at me.” Rising back up, she grabbed her plate. “Thank you again.” She said, the smile on her face evident. She took her plate to the nearest washing station and left the cafeteria.

Former
DisCom leader? This was interesting history Estrella had just received. Looking around the cafeteria, it was no wonder that the table was starting to get multiple glances.

“Delijah and Athena, I’m certain you remember Raistlin. Estrella, Bartholomew… meet Raistlin Majere. Raistlin, me new second and third chairs, Estrella Briller and Bartholomew Members. The pretty little red sect elf is a friend of ours, joining us for dinner, Alyss Mithrandir.”

Estrella gave a side smile and gestured a wave with her hand, greeting the young man after Veerle made the introductions. "It's an honor to meet you, Raistlin."

"Um...pleasure to meet you, Mr. Majere." Alyss spoke out.

“Making friends with the Disciplinary Committee already? Smart girl. I’m sure they’ll have your back if you ever need it them.”

The silverette glanced over at the elf girl before drinking the last bit of her juice. She seemed adorable enough, but chances were that she didn't come to this Academy for nothing. Estrella had yet to see what Alyss was capable of, not just on a normal basis but also on missions if they were ever paired together.

"Good evening, I hope everything is going well with you today?"

Estrella over near Raistlin to see a red haired girl approaching. Scanning her features, as well as the white blazer she was wearing, she discovered yet another Student Council member welcoming them. From the tone of the way the girl greeted everyone, it looks like she was part of the alumni rather than being a recruit like Estrella and Bartholomew. The night owl began to wonder how often the StuCo and DisCom would interact with each other, seeing that the school would probably lack order without one or the other.

“Well, I think we got off to a bit of a rough start, but things seem to be going better now,” Bartholomew replied after a while of being partly quiet. “I don't believe we've met, I'm Bartholomew Nembers, the new Disciplinary Committee Third Chair.”

Estrella took several more bites of her salad, seeing that there was only a quarter of the plate left. She must have eaten rather quickly without realizing it. After swallowing down the last bit on her fork, she gave a nod and a welcoming smile to the girl.

"And I'm Estrella Briller, the new Second Chair." She introduced.

“Boy, the food here never fails to impress me. Is everyone else's this good?”

"The lunch ladies are really nice. They often sneak me extra food, like the fish and chips and rabbit shaped beef patti.... ahem... I mean like extra salad and focaccias."

Rabbit shaped beef patties, hm? Estrella thought to herself. It was a funny thing to think about, but it was unique as well. It seemed like everyone at this table, at this school, had another. . .different side to them. Eating more slowly as she nearly finished her salad, she remembered that her file had been examined already by a few people, mostly DisCom. They probably didn't know about her mostly nocturnal lifestyle, unless that was added onto the information about her on her admissions slip. Regardless, she'd probably remind them soon, more than likely when the Disciplinary Committee will discuss anything needed to be known.

“I-I am really sorry, but I really want to explore the library before it closes for the evening. If… if you do not mind, I will be taking my leave now.”

Estrella glanced over at Alyss, who looked rather apologetic. She wondered how this girl managed such good manners. That and she had almost forgotten about the library after what had happened this evening. If she was going to intern there, she would have to at least see her work zone. Though, she highly doubted that she would be disappointed in what she would discover - but it probably wasn't entirely like the old one in her hometown.

"No one is forcing you to stay, dear. You're free to go whenever you feel the need."

“You have all been very kind, and I hope to see you all around campus again. Ms. Shinja, Ms. Fei, Ms. Hale, Ms. Briller, Mr. Nembers, and Mr. Majere… T-thank you all for a wonderful evening, I hate to leave like this… but my excitement is eating at me. Thank you again.”

The elf turned around and headed her way out of the cafeteria. Glancing around, Estrella could see that a lot of the students that were still inside were mostly conversing now. It was becoming somewhere near curfew, so it wouldn't be too long that the area would start clearing. Taking the last bite of her meal, she contemplated what she would do while the others slept. It was just the first day of the new semester, so a night patrol probably wasn't necessary. She would think of other means to make the remainder of the day enjoyable in the tranquility of her room.

[ what Ringo said. Going to try and do something with her before the next day happens. If the next morning does occur, I'll just continue with time brackets to show when it happened. ]

Rose was about to sit down at the table she chose before she glanced up at the clock for a brief second. It was getting rather late, and she still wanted to check out the rest of campus while she could do so without getting in trouble and while she was still awake. With all of the energy she had, she felt she was far from becoming sleepy, so exploring wouldn't be an issue in that case. Seeing that other students were leaving little by little anyway, she figured that she could eat her wrap while looking around. Glancing at the two girls, she gave a side smile.

"Actually, never mind that. I can eat while walking around." Waving a hand goodbye to the two, she grasped her wrap more firmly as she headed her way out of the cafeteria. Stepping outside, she realized that it was in fact getting a little bit darker. Rose could spot some moon light from behind one of the structures, and it probably wouldn't be long before the lamp posts lit up automatically.

About to head in no direction in particular, she spotted a student walking in front of her that stood out a little more than the others outside. It was a girl . . . with elf ears? Rose blinked as she gazed more closely at the girl's features. She wasn't wearing a blazer, so she wasn't sure what sect she was from, nor could she identify what she looked like from the front. Rose may have been partly fey, but she didn't think she'd meet someone else that was anything but human. Regardless, she wanted to get to know the girl.

"Hello over there?" She shouted in her direction, quickening her pace towards the elf. When they were about a foot apart, she hopped in front of her. "Mind if I accompany you?"

Alyss Mithrandir
As she left the cafeteria, she almost immediately noticed that it was getting dark. It wasn’t too dark, but it was enough for Alyss to start worrying. She hated the concept of being afraid of the dark almost as much as she hated the dark itself. It was awful. Not being able to see anything was terrifying to the poor girl. The odd thing about it was that she was rather active at night, but if she didn’t have a light around her… she couldn’t take it.

However, it was at times like these she could make her own light. Using her abilities with lightning, she could make a makeshift light in the palm of her hand. In fact, she was just about to do so when she heard someone. “Hello over there?” Someone said. Turning around, Alyss was rather taken aback by a girl that was now less than a foot away from her face. She had long black hair, and almost golden yellow eyes. Before she knew it, the girl was about a foot away from her face. “Mind if I accompany you?”

Alyss, being scared of contact, and being scared of people jumping at her from somewhat dark corners, couldn’t help but take two slow paces back as her body jumped. She hoped that the girl wouldn’t think of her rude, but she simply couldn’t help it. Pausing to catch her breath after it being scared out of her, she spoke. “I-I am sorry… you startled me…” Alyss explained, still trying to catch her breath.

“But, if you are going to the library, you are more than welcome to tag along.” Alyss said, unable to say “no”. She wondered why someone would want to come along with her when they had no idea where she was going. Perhaps they just wanted to be friendly? The people here seemed friendly enough to do something like that. After all, the entire DisCom seemed to be that way… Besides, from the way the girl looked, she definitely didn’t seem to be up to anything.

“Shall we?” Alyss asked, handing out her hand to create a small ball of electricity in her hand. “Please do not mind the electricity, I only wish to keep the dark at bay.” She explained with a smile on her face.

[James]

Walking along the aisles, James could tell someone had been there. It was almost as if the books spoke to him. Any librarian worth his salt knew this. Those subtle disruptions in L-space where books had been removed and placed back, even in the same place.

Wandering through, his eyes settled on 5 books that had recently been touched and, surprisingly, put back in their own places. Could this have been his bibliophile's work? Pulling one off the shelf he gently thumbed through it. It felt recently read, only a short while ago. Well, short for James. The other four felt the same way. Placing them under his arm, he carried them to the front desk and set them down with the spines facing towards the entrance.

Sitting on the counter, he took the top one off and started reading it. Hopefully his friend would come back. If she was this voracious a reader, they might just get along.

“I-I am sorry… you startled me…” The girl said, after she recovered from being started. As Rose examined the front of her features, it looked like they were somewhat the same age. The girl's hair was silver and her eyes were dark, more than likely brown, but it was hard to tell in the lighting of the area.

“But, if you are going to the library, you are more than welcome to tag along.” The elf seemed nice enough, even if Rose may have accidentally started her. She glanced down at her wrap for one second before taking another bite. She wasn't sure if the library allowed food in the building - but considering that it was one place she was planning on checking out anyway, there would be no harm in figuring out sooner or later.

“Shall we?” The girl reached out her hand, and then a ball of electricity formed in her hand, which surprised her only a little, but struck more awe than fear. “Please do not mind the electricity, I only wish to keep the dark at bay.”

A smile twitched on her lips as she stared at the ball, and then looked around at her surroundings, examining just how dark it was. "Oh, I don't mind at all - it's actually rather interesting. Hrm..."

Rose brought a finger to her chin as she thought of something for a few brief seconds. Going around the school by herself would be kind of boring. If this girl was new just like her, they could possibly tour it together - if she didn't mind, that was. Then again, it was easy for the half breed to make companions. She was a complete stranger to the elf, yet she didn't mind her company, it seemed. "Since I am new this semester, which I'm not sure if you are or not, I was planning on touring the campus tonight." She brought her finger down as she smiled at the girl, the light of the lightning ball seeming to light up her features and the small area surrounding them.

"Not sure if you get this a lot, but you stand out more than the other kids here. I was curious if you wanted to tour around with me - library included since I haven't looked there yet."

Alyss noticed a smile on the on the other girl’s face as Alyss focused her energy into the ball. “Oh, I don’t mind at all – it’s actually rather interesting. Hrm…” That was the first time someone complemented her abilities with electricity. Usually, it was just ignored. So, someone having a somewhat different opinion of it was refreshing in her mind. In its own way, it made Alyss happy to hear.

The girl brought a finger to her chin, quite possibly thinking of something. “Since I am new this semester, which I’m not sure if you are or not, I was planning on touring the campus tonight.” The girl said, bringing her finger down and smiling at Alyss. “Not sure if you get this a lot, but you stand out more than the other kids here. I was curious if you wanted to tour around with me – library included since I haven’t looked there yet.”

It was, actually the first time someone pointed out Alyss “standing out”. She was an Elf, and as far as she had seen, she was the only one here. Even though it shouldn’t have, Alyss was somewhat shocked to be called out on it. “O-oh, yes, it is my first semester here too. Actually, it is my first time out of my home city.” Alyss said, laughing nervously. “So in all reality, I would like to tour. I have always wanted to explore things.”

She then realized that she forgot to introduce herself. “Oh my, I did not mean to be rude. My name is Alyss, Alyss Mithrandir, as you probably noticed, I am an Elf.” She said, pointing at her ear. “What is your name? If you do not mind me asking.”
