*Eureka Academy*

OOC: Cant wait for Diar anymore. Gotta finish this mission. Ephemeral, you take the next one and then, ill just finish it off.

Delijah

"U-um, I've got one,"

Delijah was ecstatic. She rarely saw pixies up close as she thought it was childish. Throughout her life, Delijah purposefully distanced herself from one as a restraint method, but when Eluniel shoved the small creature in front of her face, her self restraint tipped over. Like a child, Delijah dropped her net and her spear and lowered her face right next to the net.

Aw..... its soooo cute!

Squealing like a little girl, Delijah tried to play with the pixie with her finger before she managed to reel herself in and realise where she was. Her body froze as she remembered that she was on a mission with two others and that Eluniel was holding the very net she was in front of. Like a rocket, Delijah shot up and straightened out.

*Ahem* Right. Good work Eluniel. That is one... eleven more to go. let's move.

Delijah did a 180 heel turn, hiding her beet red face.

Eluniel was tickled by Delijah's reaction, but did a good job of hiding it from her face. She only allowed herself a smile when Delijah turned away, presumably out of embarrassment. To Eluniel, this was a consolation of sorts, considering her impression of the Disciplinary Committee thus far to be some sort of cold, emotionless authority.

At the very least, Eluniel knew now that the group shouldn't be all that bad, considering this person in front of her. "Well, I'll leave you to get that one over there," Eluniel said, pointing to a Pixie which she just caught a glimpse of. Ducking behind a tree, Eluniel, still amused at Delijah's reaction, went on to search for the last pixie, leaving Delijah with her own.

The pixie was relatively easy to find. Having learned from the first encounter, all Eluniel did was to look out for flowers and she found her target. Taking out her net once again, she approached the unknowing pixie stealthily. Almost like a skilled hunter, she was behind the creature without attracting any attention. Thereafter, in one swift motion, she scooped up the pixie with the net, and gently sealed the net with her hands. "Rest easy, little one," She cooed, as she walked back towards Delijah,

Making the school float? Cameron had to admit, he was quite surprised that Raistlin was using his magical ability for a creative purpose, rather than a destructive one. However, he could only imagine the method he was going to use to do it was self destructive. “Perhaps I will talk to him...” For now, I'm going to have to set up my classroom.

Taking a long puff of his pipe, he then tucked it into his coat pocket as he finished off his buttered toast. “Take it easy, Krell,” he said, as he turned back into a cat, and left the room.

As soon as Raistlin was done eating his sandwich, he checked his phone only to see a notice of a pack of rabid wolves out near the forest going out of the front gate. Not exactly something I would normally waste my time on, Raistlin thought. Yet, I'm the only one available at the moment. I really shouldn't expend myself too much on this. Knowing he had a mission later, he knew he was going to have to be careful not to go overboard.

Packing his things, he left his room, locking the door behind him. Upon turning around he saw that black cat again. That... Cat... I can't get why it looks so damned familiar. He started to walk away, only to realize that the cat was now following him. Raistlin had a soft spot for cats, but he wasn't exactly going to a cat friendly place.

He could have just teleported away, but that would require energy that was better saved. Instead, he would simply trap the cat inside the school walls when he closed the gate. He continued out of the building, the cat still close behind.

Walking around the campus to the front of the gate, he looked to see the cat still close behind. Moving quickly, he opened the gate, and closed it quickly so the cat wouldn't follow. Good, I wouldn't want the cat to get hurt, Raistlin thought.

As soon as Raistlin turned around, he saw the wolves. What he saw couldn't have been normal. The pack was huge, at least 25 wolves, and each and every one of them were foaming at the mouth. “This is going to be entertaining,” said Raistlin as he fired a ball of flame from his hand, striking a wolf down. His fur and flesh burning, the smell of it filling the air.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Cameron Majere sat on the battlements of the Academy, watching as his son fired a fireball at the first wolf. One would think that he would find a way to kill them without the smell. Sometimes I think he just likes hurting things, he thought. Cameron continued to watch as every wolf began to charge at his son.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

“One down, twenty-four more to go!,” exclaimed Raistlin as he fired a shockwave of electricity at the wolves, killing five of them instantly. Nineteen more to go, thought Raistlin. As the remaining nineteen wolves charged at him, he knew he would have to teleport to avoid them. Doing just that, he teleported behind them. The wolves, dumbfounded, stopped... Just as Raistlin had planned.

Using earth magic, he created a stone prison for them, the only exit out would be 50 feet above their heads. Trapped in a stone pillar, with no way out. Teleporting to the top of it, he looked down upon the wolves. They were snarling, hungry, and rabid. Raistlin certainly didn't pity them, he didn't even like dogs, much less wolves.

Raistlin took in a deep breath, and using his fire magic, he blew fire into the pillar. Once, twice, three times, and a fourth just to make sure. They barked and yiffed as they died... Most people would consider the act unnecessary. However, it was for the better. Rabid wolves had no place around this campus where they could hurt the students. If someone wanted to complain about it being to violent, they could take it up with the Student Council. Raistlin knew he was in the right on this subject.

The stench of the burned carcasses around him was enough to make anyone vomit. Leaping down, he turned back around to see the cat, sitting outside the gate this time.

“Okay... I've come to the conclusion you're either a very persistent cat, or a person who's changed their form to one. Who are you?”

The cat then opened it's mouth, and spoke to him, “It's something you should have figured out much earlier than just now. I'm disappointed in you, my son.”

Raistlin then knew who it was, he wasn't pleased... Not in the slightest. The cat then transformed into the towering image of his Father, the look on his face was just as unamused as Raistlin's. “Hi... Father.” Raistlin said.

Cameron then looked down at his son, “You really couldn't have found a way to end their lives any quicker?”

Raistlin, not amused, retorted with, “You know I could have. I could have killed them all in one spell. That would have been unnecessary, as the lower power of spells that I use, the better off I will be on my mission later. It was logical, it was necessary, it was the best course of action I could have taken.”

“Must you always attempt to bring logic into this? Son, anyone with a brain could have saw that you were practically enjoying yourself up there.”

“I'm happy whenever I can use my abilities. It was a job well done... Pun not intended. Besides, I hate wolves. 'Loathe' would be a better term.”

“Semantics will never get you anywhere.”

“Enough of this, Father. Why are you here?”

“I will be teaching here, effective immediately.”

“So, you'll be babysitting us during the attack?”

“If that's the way you want to look at it, yes.”

“You're not a teacher yet, Father.”

“Your point being, Son?”

“A duel.”

“When?”

Raistlin smiled and looked his Father in the eye, “Now.”

OOC: You know it's dull and boring when you have no one to interact with...especially when you have nothing to do until the next mission registration, or whatever the case may be.

IC: Elaine picked up her tray and and walked over to an empty wooden table in the center of the cafeteria. She rested her hand on her head as she tried to eat.

The last time that Elaine ever felt miserable was when her mother died. Maybe her rival was right, maybe she wasn't cut out for this. With an attack impending, it was clear that many of her peers and classmates would be seriously hurt or worse.

Still through it all, what would be worse is if she did nothing. She had to be strong for her peers. That was what she vowed to do when she accepted the position as Student Council Member, to give up now would be an affront to her vow. Eureka will beat Diaga, even if she had to charge into battle herself...

Delijah

The team had been running around for another good hour and a half. It was the first time Delijah was happy about inaccurate intel. Rather than being spread all over the school campus, all 12 pixies were within the vicinity of the rich campus garden. The little creatures fluttered around, unaware of the hunters that were stalking them and the net that followed so shortly behind. At the end, all twelve pixies flew in confusion in their small cages, saddened by their short freedom. Delijah squat down to the level of the cage so that she stared into the space. The small creatures were definitely adorable and she couldnt help but feel pity and sorry for them.
Y'know... i kinda feel sorry for them. I mean they did nothing wrong really... i almost want to just set them free back into the forest....

Delijah once more caught herself before full exposure.

...almost. Well, i guess thats that. 12 pixies, all accounted for. I guess the professor would be happy to have these small tykes back. Good job to you two. If we are lucky, we might be able to be in a team once more. I bid you farewell then, so that i can hand in our...items... Say high or drop by for a word if you ever see me around the campus if you want.

Delijah gave her team mates a bow before heading off the hand in the pixies to the professor. With the mission almost complete, Delijah had to go find someone that was at the meeting that was just called so that she was back up to date with current affairs.

Ray

It had gotten quite, so Ray decided to break the silence by saying something. "So, what kind of music do you like?" It was just a bit of small talk, but he took a few bites of pizza as he waited for a response.

Arukab and Krego

The two had met in Krego's office, and the door was shut. Arukab was the first to speak. "So what's going on?" Krego shut his eyes. He hated to be the barer of bad news, but he didn't hesitate to explain the situation.

"Our rival school will more than likely be attacking us, and they have ok from the authorities. Why, we don't know, but we do know that we will need a solid defense. As much as I hate to say it, our students are in great danger. All the teachers are going to defend the school. We also have no clue as to when we will be attacked, so tomorrow morning, I think we should be ready. Very early."

Arukab was shocked. He was shocked but he wasn't worried. "Well, I think they have under-estimated not only our staff and supporters, but also our student body. We'll be fine."

"I hope you're right, old friend." After a short pause, Krego spoke again. "Do you think I should be ready to use...well, you know..."

"Yes, always prepare for the worst. With that spell, I could take out countless. I'll try not to kill though. If they have the authorities ok, then we should probably contact said authorities and higher powers with questions. I have no doubt that it could be the other school accusing us of planning some rebellion, but I may be wrong. You never know."

Lonely Again

Eluniel bowed courteously in response, and quickly left the Garden for her dormitory. There wasn't any more activities planned for the day, and with not much friends, and barely anything to do, she decided to spend the rest of the day relaxing in this new environment. As soon as Delijah disappeared out of sight, Eluniel bade Alan farewell, and left quickly.

Still her awkward self, Eluniel carefully chose her route, making sure to avoid as many people as she could as she walked to her destination briskly.

"So, what kind of music do you like?"

Stella looked up from her meal. She had been so involved in thought that she hadn't even noticed Ray sitting there at the time. "Ah? Oh sorry! I'm into pop and rock." She smiled.

Finally there was a topic on which she could take her mind off of other stressful things at the moment. "I used to play drums when I was little. I love music." She smiled. "What about you? Know any good artists?"

She sat looking at the clock, her evening mission would be starting right after lunch ended. It was to dispatch a theif. She hoped she would be able to finish her lunch in peace and head to the Great Hall in haste.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Pharra Lee stood stairing out of the doorway of the Great Hall towards the outer ocean of Eureka. She had finished class for the day as her scheduele was morning oriented anyway. She saw a girl in a hurry rushing past her. Her blue hair stood out to Lee and she called out to the rushing student. "Hey!" She called out to the girl. "I like your hair."

She smiled knowing he comment was random and unplanned but she hoped the girl would hear.

(OOC: Short, shit post. My apologies.)

Raistlin noticed his cell phone go off with a text stating that his mission was about to begin. "Rain check, Father. My mission is starting." Without waiting for a reply, Raistlin teleported to the grand hall, and looked for his mission partner.

After lunch, Eliane got up and headed off to the dojo. She was already growing bored and she may as well practice for when the day of the invasion is set to take place. If Zee was there, that made it all the better, as it would give her the chance to spar between friends.

The dojo wasn't far off, being close to cafeteria itself, but the fact that she's been out of practice has really been bugging Elaine now.

Entering the dojo, she knocked on the door. "Zee, are you still here?"

Taron:

His headache had subsided now, thankfully. Taron looked into the lotus pond from where he sat. He watched as several of the fish swam closer to see him before swiftly going back, as though they knew something. He sighed.

Thinking about the fish had made him kind of hungry, remembering the meal Maya had shared with him and Eluniel. He got up and went into the cafeteria, going through the lines and grabbing a couple of things, not really caring what they were.

When he came back to the table in the garden, he looked over what he had gotten. It seemed to be chicken kabobs, a grilled salmon fillet, and seaweed salad. "Interesting..." he said aloud.

Tasting the chicken kabob, it was a little underseasoned but still decent, better than normal cafeteria food. The vegetables on it were still crisp and the meat was tender. Finishing that, he went on to the salmon. It seemed to have been seared first in what tasted like butter, way too much of it. Still it wasnt as bad as it could have been. The seaweed salad was probably the best thing there. Perfectly done, not too slimey and with toasted sesame seeds too. He would have to keep a lookout for more of that.

He leaned back, wondering what else could even be done that day. he couldnt help but wonder about the other man who had come to speak with Arukab. Pulling out the instructor dossier, he flipped through it coming to one Oracio Krego. He was a magic instructor in advanced magic. Taron would be attending his classes eventually.

It seemed unusual for a teacher to actually come seek out another. Perhaps something was wrong? It might mean a chance for Taron to put his skills to the test. Or he could be overthinking it. Still he wanted to be ready. Maybe Eluniel could shed some light on it or at least think through it with him.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mishra:

Mishra stood infront of the pyramids of concoctions. Several thousand individual bombs were there and off to the side were a trio of glass globes about the size of someone's head. Inside this was a roiling black void that had flashes of red streaking through it.

All in all, not bad for a days work. The smaller ones could be handed off to students for when they were fighting but the big ones...no those would be for Mishra to use, and any other teacher that thought they could handle it.

He checked the pockets of his coat, making sure each had its appropriate phial or globe. He was a floating, roaring arsenal. He couldn't contain himself; he had to purr. Like Krell had said, the more deadly things were in his hands; the students could have the toys.

Lookign around he saw not his apprentice. He sighed. "Shirking on the first day? Such a pity..." Reaching into his coat he pulled out what looked like a bottle of ink and indeed it was, but it was a special ink.

Turning, Mishra wrote on the desk behind him: 'Report to my lab immediately. We have work to do.' As soon as he had finished writing these words, they leapt off the desk and formed into a raven made up of the words repeating over and over again.

"Find Xe now will you?" He asked the bird, which nodded and flew out the doorway and down the halls. As soon as it found him, it would splash itself on the nearest surface and show the message where it would stay. "Gotta love activated ink," Mishra said with a chuckle.

((OOC: Sorry for the slow response. Had totally forgotten your character made an attempt to interact with mine... Though, on a side note... Lol. Can I ask you to help give me the link to her character bio? I was looking out for it... And scoured through the OOC thread... For about 25 pages before I gave up :\))

Stopping in her tracks, Eluniel turned about to face the speaker. This was a new face which didn't ring a bell in the girl's head. Glancing briefly at this stranger's face, Eluniel quickly averted her gaze, her shyness taking over as she stuttered her response.

"T-t-thanks."

This was, but, one of the few times she earned a compliment for her hair. Stealing another glance at the lady before her, she suddenly realized something- this person doesn't look like a student! 'No way, a teacher?!', she thought to herself, before forcing an awkward smile as she bowed slightly.

"S-sorry, but I have to... Um... Go back to my dormitory..."

Escaflowne

Amongst some of the spinning dummies, several laid broken, its limbs dangling at odd angles and some just completely smashed. Escaflowne knew that the sports committee wasn't going to be happy, but she'd shell the money for it in the end. With a great sigh, she blocked all the remaining swinging limbs so that she could walk out to the side. Cold water burned her parched throat as she poured the content of her bottle into her mouth and over her head. It was a decent workout but it was missing something. Something actual fighting with another being had.

"Zee, are you still here?"

From where Escaflowne sat, she could not see the door, but she recognise the voice either way. Her hand shot upwards and used one of the closer dummies to hoist herself to her feet.

Yup. Over here. How nice of you to pop down. Whatcha doin here? Though i can hazard a guess.

Before Eliane could answer, Escaflowne used her feet to lift Touhou from the ground and into her hand.

OOC: Oliver, im just going to make it seem like the mission is completed by us, regardless of the cancelled status. It is to maitain Maya's view on Veerle and that would be wrecked horribly if the mission failed.

Maya

True to her promise, Ms Veerle tore through the forest monsters as if they were mere flies. Not only that, she blew right through the forest as well with incredible speed. Maya only managed to keep up. Her only saving grace was her ability in endurance. Otherwise, Ms Veerle would've left her in the dust a fair while ago. Maya was so concentrated in running that she ran into Ms Veerle's back when she stopped instantly.

Eep! Gomenasai Veerle sempai!

However, Veerle wasn't listening, to Maya at the very least. Her hand shot up to silence the younger girl as she began to listen more carefully before dashing into the bush to the left. Maya followed close behind and saw just in time Veerle dispatch three wolves, this time, lethally. Behind, was two small twin children, shivering in fear. Maya instantly went to their aid, in which they ran into her arms.

There there... its okay....

Maya began to hum, which she glowed ever very so slightly, in which the children visibly calmed down before nodding off to sleep within a few seconds.

Wow.... they fell asleep fast...

Without much words, Maya took both children and despite being a bit heavy, took them from the woods. While Maya was impressed by Ms Veerle's determination and zeal in keeping the children safe, but Maya had never seen anyone kill an animal so up close and in cold blood. It did frighten her a bit, but Maya comforted herself with the idea that it was for the children. By the time the duo had got out of the forest, the two children had woken up and seemed much more livelier than before in the forest. It made Maya curious, but she wanted to return the children to their parents first.

I'll take these two to the office Veerle Sempai. I will take my leave first.

After taking the children to the office, who had someone take them back to their parents, Maya, exhausted walked out to the garden and flopped under one of the great trees, the sunlight filtering through the leaves, before she nodded off for a quick nap.

Day 2 Roundup (it was written when we were still on DAY ONE so I hope this won’t be an issue)

Hearing someone was at the door Nova, walked over to open it, behind it was indeed Sophia “I didn’t expect to see you so soon... Water with a straw, right? Do come in... “

“I would appreciate it, thank you. I hope I didn't come at a bad time. And you can relax, I’m not upset with you now, but I am about to ask you a pretty big favor, that's what brought me back so soon.”

“Nope, actually you’re about as convenient as is possible in my schedule... Do sit down so we can discuss this favor” Nova said as she walked back to her desk and grabbed the drink from behind her and pulled a straw from somewhere, before handing the bottle over with the straw in it.

“Thanks Nova. Glad I caught you at a good time, seeing as I am not sure of details exactly, it may take some discussion. As I mentioned before, it isn't really for me, but for my brother Crimson Wolf.” Sophia began speaking as she took a sip of water from the bottle. “I just a moment ago found out he made a new friend, but it is more than that, he says he really loves her, and wants to do something really special for her, but wasn't sure what. I was hoping you might be able to come up with something nice to do for his good friend, called Amane, for a surprise. I told him nothing of coming to you to try set something up.”

"So you want to give them a nice surprise, like say a romantic dinner for two? I can do that..." Nova said smiling, "In fact I should have thought of this myself, I just saw them at lunch looking at each other and it was quite cute... In a clumsy first love kinda way..."

"That would be perfect, if it wouldn't be a problem for you, they would both really appreciate that. And... I kind of upset Crimson earlier... I'd like to make it up to him, if you could show them a nice night it would be great, so I would appreciate it as well, Miss Nova." Sophia replied, smiling as best as her physiology allowed.

“Okay so is there anything your brother likes to eat, or is allergic to or really doesn’t like?” Nova asked as if she was receiving a mission briefing from a commanding officer, asking all the questions to which she’d need answers to properly plan the way to the target and make sure the objectives were achieved…

“He isn't allergic to anything that I know of, and he likes most any meat foods, Lasagne might be his favorite food. Even though he doesn't have it much, he seems to like Vanilla ice cream too.”

"Well lasagne is a bit blasé for a meal like I have planned, but I’ll work the ice-cream in somehow, Do you have a timeline for this little excursion?" Nova continued at a more familiar tone.

"Um, I know it is pretty short notice, but this just happened now, if at all possible tonight would be ideal, but I fully understand if this is not reasonable." Sophia said sounding slightly abashed, as if this would be problematic or something.
"Well, if I am going to make all the required arrangements and get all the prep work for my class tomorrow done I’m gonna need to hurry, Still sure you will not be coming anymore?" Nova said as she prodded her computer into life and grabbed a telephone, hearing Sophia reply as she did so.

"I’m sorry, but although I realize you had to go about that 'test' the way you did earlier for it to be effective, that incident just made me a little too nervous of not being sure things are what they seem to be, it's an uneasy feeling to cope with, I hope you understand..."

"Ooh no problems then, I hope Mr Krego will have better luck with you then me... Now if you don't mind my work load for today just doubled... If I’m going to get everything done on time I’m going to need to hurry..."

Evening of Day 3
=0=0=0=0=0=0=
As the butler drove up to the house where he was supposed to collect “her ladyship” for the man he worked for he fiddled with some of the details on his Rolls Royce Phantom Drophead. The roof was up since there was still just a hint of a drizzle in the air, which of course wouldn’t do on the plush carpets, the leather –which on this rolls like all others over the years is made from cows who live nowhere near barbed wire or prickly bushes because it might damage their skin and thus ruin the car when they are turned into the leather seats- or of course his styled hair and bespoke suit tailored for him on Savile Rowe, London. Pulling the car into two parking spaces so it was in front of the doors to the apartment complex her Ladyship resides in he grabbed the umbrella out of the backdoor that would, by the lower classes, be described as a suicide door.

Grabbing the rather large package from the boot, he stashed the umbrella under his arm and walked up the stairs with a box whose area is best measured in square feet, two smaller boxes stacked on top. Those who cared to check would notice the bottom one was by Redux Charles, from his Chang Lima collection, and it was utterly perfect, cut to flatter the body without being vulgar. The top boxes were from some of Paris’ premier jewelers, an Alexander Reza necklace with matching hairclip and broach and a very nice complementary armband with matching ring. Pondering about the vast expense he held in his hands the butler wondered what the last time was he had seen the Young master spend this much money on a girl, quite some time… A few years at the very least, she must be quite something he supposed, not that what the good master spent his trust fund on was any of his concern…

Getting to the correct floor of the staircase the butler walked over to the room and while juggling the packages inside the narrow corridor was not easy he found he had little issue making it work. Arriving at the correct front door, Blue sect, Other. Not the most discreet way of marking the doors but the butler supposed it would work well enough for the working class. Positioning the packages on his left hand he used his right hand to knock on the door.

When the door opened he was greeted by this visage of a young woman, on the cusp of womanhood and while it was -of course- not his position to judge the young master he could see why he had chosen to spend so much money on her. In a few years she would quite simply be a singular beauty.

“G’d afternoon m’Lady, You would be the Lady Amane? I do hope I am not interrupting? But I have been sent to collect you to dinner by the man I work for; my Lord has requested your presence at his beach house.” The butler said with those clipped English tones that suggested an education at one of England’s most prestigious private schools, Stamford or perhaps Cheltenham. “If you are busy tonight I can come back later at a more convenient time, although my master will be most grieved by your failure to appear, he has looked forward to this for quite some time and with considerable ardour.” The butler continued with the emphasis on the last part of the sentence indicating he was employing that old favorite of the English upper classes, the understatement. “There is some dress code involved and my lord has taken the liberty of finding out your size so he could have the appropriate clothing and jewelry prepared,” the butler said as he swung the boxes into view from their position half hidden by the doorframe. “you will find them bespoke to your body and with matching jewelry, and come what may if you decide to join my lord for dinner you are of course more than welcome to keep them, not that my lord would presume to offer them as a bribe of sorts. And if I might presume, this really isn’t the sort of conversation to be held in a door opening.” The butler finished. If she were to Accept his lord’s invitation she would find in the boxes a black sleeveless dress of the finest black silk, and jewelry consisting of platinum and black diamonds relatively small and certainly not garish –or worse nouveaux riche- but they would set her off just right, the bracelet emphasizing her long slender limbs and the hairclip her lustrous hair and the others would serve similar purposes.

=0=0=0=0=0=0=

While the butler was standing on Her Ladyship’s doorstep in another part of the blue sect bungalows another knock on the door came, this one on the door of Mr Wolf, not by a butler but instead by one of the teachers of the academy. Miss Carmine having accepted a job there a few days previously and currently acting in distinctly without orders, “Hey Crimson, you in there mate? I have been sent to pick you up and offer you a ride…” Nova said even before the door opened, a while later when Crimson had been found and was at the door. “Okay, you are wanted somewhere, I don’t know where or what for I am merely the messenger… Get dressed I’ll help with the buttons …”

When Nova had gotten the wolf dressed with the stuff in the clothing bag she had been provided with for Crimson she noticed he did clean up rather nicely, bespoke tuxedo, or as the British would call it a dinner jacket, her employer for the rush delivery obviously needed the wolf to appear somewhere public and quite probably wealthy. Straightening his tie she hustled him down the stairs, since she had already been late when the mission had come through. Hustling him down the stairs, which by the way were on the other side of the building the Rolls was parked on, she fitted him into her Viper which was waiting with a running engine. Its race spec 800 BHP, 8.4liter v8 engine grumbling unhappily at the low revs it was required to make at idle. “Common man, we’re already late and I don’t get paid if you aren’t on time!” Nova almost barked as she was getting the wolf into his seat and checking the 6 point racing harness was secured properly as she sat down and checked her seat belt Nova
“Of course that’s more due to the fact that my employer had this idea rather late and didn’t leave me enough time to get you collected properly. Hang on tight I’m gonna have to drive rather fast to make our deadline.” Nova said as she slotted the gear lever into first and hit the throttle, the supercharger whining like a demonic entity. When the back wheels finally stopped spinning, the car almost leapt from its place hitting 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60 MPH passing in a blur of clutch plates and tire smoke and in well under 3.5 seconds. “No worries I am pretty good at this and the car was converted by some of the best minds in the business, it’s perfectly safe. That said you might want to avoid distracting me…” Nova said as she slotted the manual gearbox into third gear and flicked the steering wheel and cornered at a pretty insane velocity leaving two eight and two thirteen inch wide skid marks on the so far pristine tarmac.

Driving out the coast road Nova had come in on luckily the gate was already opening this time around since for driving out you didn’t need to show id, when she hit the strip of automotive heaven that was the coast road to the docks Nova pulled a slightly scuffed up but sealed envelope out of her jacket.

“I am told all you need to know is in there, open it on the docks when I am gone. I am told there will be someone waiting for you there. I don’t know where you are going, but I am told it is perfectly safe.”

Having reached the broader coast road with its more gentle turns Nova eased off the revs a bit and changed gears a few times until she was pelting along the road at around 150 miles an hour, Luckily Nova was well rewarded for her services since she’d need new tires, brake pads, possibly a clutch and she didn’t really like the sound her HEMI was making so that might need a tune up as well… When she hit the docks she drove to the front gate of the thing and looked at Crimson as a mother who is about to watch her son go to prom, “Lemme look at you, you look fabulous dude” she said as she straightened his tie “Straighten that jacket and those cuffs when you get out of the car. And you’re good to go… Now I have to leave so I don’t see where you are going so if you don’t mind I believe we’re still in a hurry, we’re just no longer late…” She said as she reached over the center console to help him with his seat belt. After he had gotten out and Nova had made sure he was presentable she started her car and drove off, wolf whistling at him from her open window. Passed the gate and back to the campus nodding when she was about half way to campus to a drop top Rolls who was going in a different direction. After she parked her car on the teachers parking space she smiled to herself in the mirror grinned at her reflection and said “I just love it when a plan comes together…”

As the butler escorted her ladyship to the rolls awaiting outside, opening the door for her and acting as the perfect valet not more then what was expected from a graduate of Cheltenham or Stamford and the International Butler Academy, making sure her ladyship was seated and that she wasn’t marring her exquisite dress when he heard some lout revving a big block v8 if he was any judge not to mention the squealing of rubber tires. Breathing heavily in disdain for the working classes –and worse, the noveaux riche- “Beg pardon my lady, it seems some of the working classes are enjoying themselves”, he said as he closed the passenger side rear door while stowing the boxes in the boot, and getting her ladyship a drink from a refrigerator in built therein “No worries we will have you on time to where you are going without anywhere near that kind of vulgarity being required. Would you prefer some music for the drive?” He said as he slotted the Phantom into gear and pushed the button to drop the roof and drove off. Calmly, dignified, and quite simply quintessential manner of the British Upper class, the drive was smooth, with no real things of note happening. The butler would of course exchange small talk and answer questions as her ladyship might wish but it would ofcourse be forward to initiate the exchange.
30 Minutes later they arrived in town and he pulled up to a gate which opened up into an Italian style courtyard where he parked the rolls and walking around back –naturally- he opened the door to escort her ladyship into a side door and up some stairs. “My lady Amane, it is my distinct honor to present Maximilian Arthuro, the person who will be in charge of your makeup and hair, I will leave you in his more than capable hands while I go to sort out your transport for the second leg of our journey.”

“Ooh goodness gracious me, aren’t you just the cutest thing I Ever saw?!? Call me Max, everyone does, can I get you anything herbal tea perhaps?” Max spoke in rapid fire English with a rather peculiar accent, a seeming blend between the stiff upper lip Oxford English and the accent of a camp homosexual from a tv show. “Well lets go get you all prettied up, here you might want to wear this over the top of that fabulous dress”, he said handing her something that resembled the things hairdressers give you to avoid getting your hair all over your clothing, “Well I have to say it is a delight to be working with someone so beautiful, normally I only get dried up old people and there’s only so much fun in covering stuff up you know, but with you I can create, improve upon what God gave you as opposed to covering up the ravages of time. I am so sorry I’m rambling, here you go sit right over there and we’ll get started…” He said as he motioned to a chair in front of a big ass mirror with those cliché light bulbs all around it.

An hour later the butler returned and was quite literally struck senseless with the transformation that had occurred while he was out, her hair was curled, nails were polished and about a million other tiny details he didn’t notice but she was truly visionary in her beauty. “Ooh hello there, we are almost done, just keep waving those hands around, the nail polish should be almost dry then I can put the finishing touches to your hair and you’ll be right as rain for your big date tonight…” He said as he fixed a detail on the lipstick and applied some rogue.

“Thank you Maximilian, you know where to send the bill, My lady, if you would follow me please we will proceed to the next leg of our journey.” He said as he extended a helping hand to help her arise from the chair and helped her take of the rather unflattering clothing protector. “Because we are –unfortunately and by things wholly outside our control- running a bit late I have taken the liberty of getting you a slightly different form of transport.”

The butler said as they emerged into the courtyard where a sleek black helicopter was parked, step inside and I’ll fly you over to my master’s house. You don’t need to worry about those ghastly headphones you always seen in the movies because this one has a few optional extras. You’ll find a small refrigerator between the rear seats should you wish for a drink or a snack perchance.” He said as he flipped some switches and turned some dials and bibbed some bobs which made the helicopter rise up and fly. A few minutes later they were over the harbor and the butler called back to her ladyship that If she were to view from the right side of the cabin she would be able to see m’lord arriving. With a few hundred feet lower a wooden boat with a teak deck was racing over the bay trying to outrun its own wake, and it seemed to be winning…

=0=0=0=0=0=0=0=

Meanwhile on the docks Crimson had opened the letter which directed him to a pier and then a box where he found a wooden speedboat, with its stern end into the box. It was a Riva, a 50 foot wooden powerboat that was so luxurious they varnish them miles of shore so the airborne dust doesn’t affect the perfect veneer since there isn’t any that far out, it’s not called the Rolls Royce of boats for no reason.
A butler came from down below holding a tall glass full of ice and a half liter bottle of Evian on a silver platter, “Master Wolf I presume? Or would you prefer Master Crimson? Well come on board we’ve got to hurry if we’re going to make the pre-dinner cocktails.” The butler said as he motioned him over the gang plank and moved him to one of the white calf leather seats offered him a drink -thoughtfully provided with a straw- and walked to the steering wheel where he did some finicking about with it before he started the engine and drove off, the mooring lines having seemingly disappeared. Starting the boat and moving it out of the harbor at the maximum speed of 5 knots he opened it up as soon as they hit open water opening the two eight hundred horsepower engines and settling in a cruise of 31 knots. The butler taking some time to fix the jacket and align the platinum and diamond cufflinks properly through the sleeves of the shirt, and messing with the silk girdle around Crimson’s middle. During the middle of this trip a big -and very black- helicopter raced over head towards the island.

A few minutes later they arrived at a dock on a beach house. The beach itself was one of those rare ones you see in commercials, the white sand, azure blue water, palm trees, the works. The house was a 2 story one with a second story deck beneath a big umbrella for a bit of shade and on that deck a man in a Chef’s outfit was setting a table and mucking about with crystal glasses.

“Sir, if I might presume, we have set the table upstairs, Her ladyship will be arriving momentarily and we have served some Hors d'œuvres. I shall go to the kitchen to oversee things there, if you wish for anything, there is a bell on the table use it and one of the staff here will come running to provide whatever you wish for, please don’t hesitate to ask we have everything you could possibly need… You will also find a pitcher of Virgin –that’s alcohol free- piña colada, and a remote to operate the in house entertainment system. Pour yourself one and make yourself comfortable while we wait for her Ladyship’s imminent arrival.”

Barely had Crimson gotten to the top and sorted all of the stuff out, he found a table set for a five course meal one side with normal silverware -made of gold- one side with specially modified stuff so he could use it. And one table with sofa’s around it which had the pitcher, 2 frosted glasses and the remote on it which seemed to be a touchpad style interface for most of the house. Before he saw the helicopter from earlier landing on the beach kicking up a furious spray of sand before the rotor came to a halt stopping the wind, a butler –with slight traces of helmet hair- came out opened a door and from it emerged Amane, primped, pressed and looking the best she ever had and unless she married very rich probably ever would. As the butler had described her, a singular beauty, the dress, the shoes, the jewelry, the hair… It was all perfect, just utterly, utterly perfect. Her hand was held by the butler who escorted her up the stairs and escorted her to the coffee table.

“Lady Amane, it is my pleasure to present m’lord Wolf. For dinner we have prepared Salmon Sashimi, followed by Soup De Poisson for the lady and Ox tail boillion for my lord both are served with Garlic bread. For thereafter we have Cantalope with Prosciutto followed by a spoom to cleanse the palet, and a Filet Mignon wrapped in spiced breadcrumbs wrapped in bacon served with fries and lettuce, then there is the Pasta with salmon, with a sauce of red pesto, craim freche and black olives. Followed by a mango sorbet ice cream and lastly coffee with spekkoek, which is a Dutch pie analog consisting of layers of normal and chocolate flavored cookie. We have managed to procure a bottle of ’51 Château Pétrus from which the alcohol has been removed, I am told it involved some kind of high tech separation but I am not privy to the particulars of the process, so that it is suitable for serving to minors such as the young lord and lady which shall be served with the main course. We shall serve a bottle of ‘94 Pinot Gris with the fish courses which has been treated in a similar manner.” The Waiter said with that distinct clipped british accent and perfect French intonation as he poured both of them a pre dinner cocktail.

We shall serve dinner in 30 minutes, Can I get you anything until then?”

OOC: the fruits of my labor to research this stuff:P
The jewelry are whatever Her lady ship prefers as long as they fit the upper class’ idea of what it should be… Ie. bloody expensive but discreet…

8 pages, a full page and a half of references, 4350 words, and it's been written ~5 months ago, this breaks a few of my records... It's easily the most money i have ever spent in a single post for one:) if i BUY everything i need and value the house at a conservative million and a half then i end up spending like 5 million USD...

Yup. Over here. How nice of you to pop down. Whatcha doin here? Though i can hazard a guess.

"Heh, you always could, Zee." Elaine said smiling, before walking into the room itself. "Which means you know why I am here then." Elaine took a half step forward, having her right hand extended outward, her hand pointing downwards like a praying mantis. The left arm was closer to Elaine's body, the elbow bent toward the ground, but her hand was also in a similar style to her right hand. "It's been a while since we last sparred anyway, don't you think?"

(OOC: Thank you, Youtube, without you, I'd never would've figured out the Base Stance for Praying Mantis.)

Escaflowne

Escaflowne was contemplating on fighting Eliane with her wrist knives and boot knives only, but remembered that that was her specialty. It was suicidal to do so. Slowly and steadily, she settled into a slight crouch, turning the blade so that it faced upwards in its sheath and gribpped the hilt. Her heartbeat thumped loudly in her ears and in an instant, Escaflowne performed a battoujutsu and unsheathed her sword with a mighty downward swing with Touhou. Touhou was sharp as they can get, but Escaflowne was confident in her own skills, as well as Eliane's.

OOC: Crap post is crap, but I do need to post...

RAY

Ray was surprised to hear that Stella used to play drums. Ray then looked at her and answered the question, "Unlike most people my age, I like the old stuff. It's called classic for a reason." He then continued eating.

"So, she's going to fight using her sword." Elaine thought as Escaflowne drew her sword, however this did not stop her, as she immediately sidestepped to avoid the downward slash, despite the fact that she was using the precise style of the Mantis, Elaine preferred the quick footwork of the Monkey style.

Immediately after sidestepping, Elaine moved to close the distance. Knowing Zee and her nodachi, Touhou, she would have to try and close the distance. Unfortunately, Elaine would probably not be able to get in range before Escaflowne would try to launch an attack, so she would have to react quickly enough depending on how she attacked.

Krell got on the school microphone and then began to annouce: Well the following students shall report to the main hall for missions. Athena, Raistlin, Alan, Stella, Cathal. Failed mission students shall report back to school at once. That is all.

With a sigh he sat back down in his chair.

Stella stood within the great hall at this announcement waiting for her team. She leaned on a wall looking out the doorway onto the outer campus. She didn't like thinking about the events that had led up to now. She didn't want to think about the sacrifice of Orion, nor about the problem Eureka had at hand. She didn't know how to fix it. She promised herself that as soon as everything was finished she would make the end of the schoolyear smooth.
