Evanescent Fairytale {RP}

"well as for a leader I do not know, but if we are looking for a structure inside a mountain I suggest we head downwards, it would be almost impossible to build something inside the top of a mountain, it'd be too unsafe, and a shrine... sounds like something you'd want to last."

Wrong, thought Kyrie. Having been born and raised in this part of the mountains, Kyrie had a pretty good idea of where the shrine would be located. And she was certain it wasn't down. Just as she was about to speak up, one of the others cut her off.

“Except, I’ll be leading the way.”

Kyrie re-crossed her arms. Fine then. You lead the way. Kyrie would be content with staying quiet unless someone asked for her input. She still didn't know any of these people's intentions, save possibly the girl from Cia.

And she had yet to trust any of them.

Seridaxon looked down at the person glared and waited for the others to make a move before he even considered following the woman.

"Aeva processor analyzing target..."

"target analyzed as minor threat"

Seridaxon smirked and moved towards the newcomer if he was going to get out of here the best way would be to listen to the group and help when he could.

"A shrine you say? Well what are we waiting for? Let's get this over with. I'm freezing and I'm sure this mountain air is doing very little but freezing the insides of my lungs..."

I agree. It is best to get this over with for those that aren't quite used to this type of weather. If you deem yourself capable and knowledgeable of leading the way, then do so.

Phallia returned her hand to her spear and began walking after the hooded lady. She had a mysterious air to her which piqued Phallia's interest. A bit of interest, but there were priorities. Twirling her cloak over her shoulders, Phallia tied the clothing by the neck and did not bother closing it up at the front. THe wind and snow was of no bother. The only bother was holding the thing. As she continued, a small connection in her brain reminded her of another individual that has drawn her attention, the one from the bar. Slowing to a slight pace, Phallia turned and waited for the others to catch up.

Following behind this alliance of people, Vargan kept himself silent he had neither need nor desire to be friendly with them. This mountain's environment, while different to his land's heat had a rough terrain he was very familiar with and a hardy constitution to handle something like this. To the point he had to slow himself down to remain at the back. The mountain was clearly bothering the others, but he didn't care, a warrior had to only look out for themselves, if they couldn't manage that how could they protect anything? His expectations of these people were clearly low, but he didn't speak his mind on this, instead using them as a guide off of here even if he was now having to play Treasure Hunt with them.

Keeping his claymore at the ready in case of emergency he walked onwards, vision slightly blurred by the weather he could still make out the features of the shrine in the distance. He wondered if any of them had entertained the thought that it could be filled with traps, in the case that it was even filled with treasure to begin with. "Foolish and childish" he muttered under his breath.

“Except, I’ll be leading the way.”

Virginia looked to see a hooded female. While she looked skinny and almost frail, she had a weird suspicion right from the get go. As soon as she walked further up the mountain, Virginia had no choice but to consent to her wishes and followed her up the mountain path, wondering, "Just who is she?"

Earthly Realm

Riley had followed the woman to a crowded shelter. She was speaking on the phone for someone he figured she worked for. Riley stood next to the payphones watching the people in distress, some crying, others silent and worried. Many were talking on phones trying to get reception. "It's silly how one small little thing can cause chaos to the whole world." Riley muttered.

"Tell me about it." said a blonde short boy sitting next to him. "They're all like animals. It's disgusting."

It took Riley a minute to get used to a strange kid responding to his muttering. "Um..." said Riley.

"Well you can't blame most of them anyways." said the boy. "They can't tell who's a bloodthirsty criminal and who isn't. By the way, how did you and that woman get in here? I don't recall seeing you before."

"None of you're business." replied Riley. "We'll be leaving anyway so..."

"You and that woman..." said the boy.

He wore a sweatervest and a necktie. He looked like a spoiled rich brat in Rileys eyes. And looked almost like he was twelve. "That must mean that you know a way out of here..." said the boy putting on a pair of glasses. "I want to come."

"No kids allowed." said Riley annoyed.

"But I want to come! Mother and Father are waiting for me back in Canada." said the boy.

"Where? Nevermind that! You can't come!" moaned Riley.

"Lets go." ushered the police woman. "They've got a lead on who may have started this..."

With that Riley and the woman left the shelter on to their next destination.

News: The temple is old if you reach it. It's more like ruins and the spear lies in a circular room. But beware the two guardians...

Ahrexian nodded to Mystro and began to walk after the others.
He sent lightning down to his feet, with an arc betwee the two and the ground. He had been placed into an area he didn't know by someone he had been given no time to trust, He wasn't taking any chances.
His hand resting on his sword he continued on, he noticed that a large man ahead with his hands resting on an enourmous claymore was also being extremely careful with his footing. As a mercenary he had gained sharp eyes, and a respect for those who had respect for their surroundings...
He got a feeling that he and this man would get along, even if it didn't take long to find these spears, they would have to go for a drink after, perhaps share some tales...

Seridaxon couldn't help notice how on edge everyone was, it made him grin to himself as he clenched his fists preparing to fend of attacks made by to others just in case they tried anything suddenly. Seridaxon saw movement up ahead at the shrine.

"Aeva processor scanning shrine for lifeforms..."

"No life forms detected"

Seridaxon was certain he saw movement but decided to keep his thoughts to himself if something was there better he be prepared for it alone and increase his chances of coming out above the others rather then let them know and have to deal with them all later. Seridaxon continued to move unaffected by the cold weather.

((OOC: Well, I’ll push the story quickly into battle now. I’m honestly not sure how the Guardians should look like, so I’m leaving that open. ))

Under the shelter of the hood, she took a quick glance over at the group. It was apparent they did not know each other well, and amongst some, there were signs of animosity. Just like the environment, their upcoming trials would be harsh. Unity saw no need to tell them that, however. Letting the situation form the bonds would suffice.

She continued walking silently, though ready to cast a spell should any danger emerge.

The Temple was a rather rundown place. Some of the pillars had already been collapsed, either due to age or other unnatural causes. It was the latter that started Unity’s series of mental processes. “I advise that you all be wary.” She said, purposefully loud enough for everyone to hear.

Looking at the temple cautiously, she realized there was no evident movement from any possible inhabitants. Concluding they were either planning to ambush the group, Unity began chanting the preparatory incantation for her spell ‘Lightning Aura’ mentally. Waving the group over, she began walking towards the Temple.

Just as Shia, the High Priestess, had described to her back then, the Temple held only one circular room within it. This room had a raised pedestal that held a spear. All around it were crushed pillars, and even remains of the ceiling above.

There weren’t any apparent signs of an ambush, but Unity decided against believing that. She finished up the chant, and released her spell. Her eyes promptly glowed a bright yellow color, though, all these hidden under her hood. Several bolts of lightning began its dance around her form as she treaded towards the spear with caution.

She didn’t care if the group was following her at this point. If there was an ambush, she thought she would be the most prepared. In a few steps, she closed up the distance between the pedestal and herself. Then, grabbing the spear, she turned to exit from which she came.

All was silent initially, but gradually, the earth shook. It slowly became rather violent, such that the temple itself was rocking. Unity realized then why exactly the Temple was in such a state, but that was beyond her concern. Something was happening behind her, and she knew well whatever it was, it would be best she tackled it from a distance.

She hurriedly ran out of the Temple. “Something’s coming. En Garde.” She hissed, pointing the spear in the direction of the Temple.

“Something’s coming. En Garde.”

Seridaxon grinned.

"Aeva processor activating combat systems"

His helmet closed down over his face and he shoved his way to the front of the group eager to fight what ever was coming, he picked up the nearest pillar and held it baseball bat style and looked back at the others.

"Don't get in my way, if i hit you it's you're fault, you've been warned" Seridaxon spat at the others before turning back to face whatever was coming out of the shrine, the snow sitting on his armour started melting into water as his insides heated up.

I'm going to enjoy this

he thought to himself scanning the entrance for movement.

It was not her ears that heard the noise, but her soul. Phallia had been busily immersing herself with the anciet shrine and its structure. Her insides felt the tremour and on instict, instantly whipped around, both Ascendent Justice (A.J for short) and Aurelius' Deliverance (A.D) flew out of its sheath and leapt forward. From where she was examing the wall in the back of the group, she instantly darted to the front and positioned herself in front of the hooded woman. Phallia did not know her name, nor her face, but the lightning spell meant that she was a mage of some sort and mages were definitely best off with something in between them and an enemy. From her pheripial vision, she saw another of the "Heroes" pick up a pillar as a weapon. Obviously, none here had the intention of retreating.

Hmph. Let's see what this shrine has to offer.

Several spears if ice formed and floated around Phallia, pointing straight ahead. Anything that came out will be met with a volley of ice.

((OOC:Wait! wait ! wait! I'm doin something for the info for the Guardians! dont fight just yet! Before you enter battle, you must sign up for the guardian you want here! Okay so now that everyone's posted let the battle begin!!!!))

"Hm" went Shosta as she heard others in the temple. "I feel...mana..."

She left her room and checked the mirror for a second, admiring her new white gown, with frills. Her blue hair was long ans soft and flowed down to her hips. Shosta had almost mad e a smile but then, she began to hear unfamiliar voices in the shrine. "Huh? Again...The spear!"

Shosta ran out of the room and down the corridor towards the circular room of the spear. Foot steps from her partner behind her came louder and louder. It was Thiftor, his dirty clothes dripping with mud. "You felt that too?" he asked her as they both hurried down the corridor. "We have to protect the spear!"

"It must have something to do with the weakening with our powers. Nothing could slip past them...It's getting worse." said Shosta.

"Stop." whispered Thiftor as he eyed the warriors entering the shrine. "They're..."

"I know who they are." said Shosta as she formed a blade of ice amongst her arms. "And we have to do as He said and test their strength."

"Right" said Thiftor smirking. "Let's see what these Heroes got!"

At that moment both guardians came charging at the heroes, the light of the spear stuck in the floor at the center of the room began to flicker. The attack was on...

"Then I guess we have our leader." Mystro said very silently. He felt as he could trust these people, but he would not entirely. Life may be on the line if he made that mistake

Ahrexian nodded to Mystro, and Mystro walked the same direction as the others, but eing in a group he had to pase himself, so he had to go a tad slower than normal.

“Something’s coming. En Garde.”

Mystro then realized a presance shrouded in Mystery. What was this? all he could feel was some sort of life, he could not feel power, evil, good, or nuetrality, but there was undoubtably something. Studying the group he was in, he knew he had a good team, but still feared this thing he felt...He readied himself to fight defensively.

Virginia heard and felt the earth shake. "Un terremoto? affascinante....."(An earthquake? Charming.....) She drew out her Straight Dagger and prepared herself for what may be an ambush.

But all that matters is the spear, even if she would have to use that very artifact against the skirmishers.

Ahrexian heard footsteps coming from witihn the temple. He raised his sword tochest height and brought the electricity up towards the blade, he assumed if others were here there would be no need to worry about the ground.

He followed the others into the temple. All he knew is that they were searching for a spear, it could be anywhere in here, although most shrines lead to a central room...

He kept his thoughts to himself and simply stayed with the others, sword readied for anything that might happen, he still didn't entirely trust the group he was with, but he guessed that if something worse was lurking within, this is how it would have to be...

Following behind everyone as usual Vargan gripped his Claymore and unsheathed it swiftly and held it diagonally to the floor, the tip barely an inch from the floor. He knew enemies were inside he could hear, smell and see them. Smell the stench of the divine, hear the sound of their footsteps and see the ground tremble as they emerged to face them. Walking inside the Shrine he wondered which of the two he should fight, if not both at once. Having absolutely no reason to alert the others to what he had learned he watched and waited as he took a slower walk inside, keeping a clear distance from the others, if anyone was going to fall into a trap it wouldn't be him.

"Damn! Damn! Damn!" shouted Orin in frustrated anger. "I didn't think it would need the spear!"

"You shouldn't have taken the easy way out Orin." said King Henry Siard as he walked in cautiously. "I told you that you needed at least one of the four spears in order to work the machine."

"Shut up you stupid fool! You're just a king, a useless tool!" shouted Orin back, tears begining to stream down his face. "But...I've already prepared for this...Yes! The guardians of those things will be much weaker now that the Mana Tree has weakened!"

The king stood and watched the angry elf trudged out of the bloody lab. "And what should I tell the kingdom has happened here?" asked King Henry.

"Make something up..." said Orin. "As for me, I've got a spear to get...And some pesky warriors to kill no doubt."
-----------------------------------------------------------------

Shosta and Thiftor stood before the group of warriors. "We're sorry." said Shosta in a bland voice. "But we cannot help you until we test out you're strength."

"Enough of all this suprise." Shouted Thiftor.

He lunged towards the warriors, his hands incased in stone. Shosta ran behind him and began shooting ice lances at the warriors with no remorse. "If you are true heroes of Mana....then show us your power!"

((OOC: If it’s a battle they seek, then it’s a battle they will get.))

Unity wasted no time. The ice-wielding Guardian took priority, for her attacks seemed to be based on magic as well. Furthermore, her attacks were ranged, she certainly felt more obliged to do battle against this Guardian thereafter. Raising a hand, she blasted a bolt of lightning, breaking apart the icy lance that was coming for her.

The destruction of the ice lance created a miniature shockwave that removed Unity’s hood. This revealed her snowy white hair, as well as her frighteningly white features. Having cast the spell, ‘Lightning Aura’, her irises color is now yellow as well.

“If it is power that you seek from us...” She muttered. As she said that, she raised her other hand. “…Then that’s what you get.”

Bolts of lightning cackled about her two hands, and when she finished speaking, she focused mentally, and then blasted a larger bolt of lightning at Shosta.

Shosta saw the lightning coming at her fast and furious. She blasted a few more lances of ice at it before deciding that it was no use. She made an attempt to jump out of the way but it struck her and she went flying on to the other side of the room. Rizing slowly the ice goddess removed the strands of hair from her face. "So you have the ability to shoot firecrackers? Why that's not power, that's childs play!"

Shosta came charging again, this time at the albino woman who had shot the lightning at her. She began to smirk as she harmonized her mana with the mist in the air. "Keyagh!" Shosta shouted in fury as jagged ice pillars began to spring up from the ground towards Unity...

Drawing out her Kukri, Virginia looked at the Earth Guardian, Thriftor. She knew she would not be able to match her opponent blow for blow, but Virginia can however try to outpace and outwit him. She saw Unity focused on the Ice elemental before shifting attention to her opponent.

Smiling she ran towards Thriftor coming in straight towards him, but instead of a direct, in your face attack, she came around and launch a strike at her opponent's torso from behind as fast as possible, then move away before he can counter.
