Last Movie You've Seen

Movie: The Other Boleyn Girl
Rating: 7 out of 10
Genre: Drama, Romance

Surprisingly it's somewhat historically accurate. It's about two wealthy sisters who have a relationship with King Henry the VIII. Natalie Portman's character is Anne, the king's second wife. She also gives birth to Elizabeth the first. Scarlet Johansson's character is Mary who has the king's bastard son.

If your interested in watching it I recommend renting it. I guess I could say it's like watching a two hour soap opera that interesting enough to make eyes glue to the screen. I wouldn't add this movie to my favorite list but it wasn't too bad.

Movie: Phantoms
Rating: 8 out of 10
Genre: Thriller

I came home last night drunk as hell, crashed on my couch in front of the tv, and Phantoms was on. As spoken in Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, Ben Affleck really is the bomb in Phantoms. I think I'll have to get the novel.

Movie: The Accidental Husband
Rating: 7/10

It was quite an interesting movie, if a tad cliched. Uma Thermon and that other guy were good, but Colin Firth was dissapointing.

Here I was, sitting at the computer and doing my homework, when this one girl from choir said she needed a movie buddy. Didn't really want to see what she wanted to see, but I did anyway.

Movie: The Spiderwick Chronicles
Rating: 7/10

It's a Nickelodeon movie, so I wasn't expecting much from it. However, I did appreciate certain parts of the film. Freddie Highmore (who starred in Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory alongside Johnny Depp) gave an exceptional performance, and captured two contrasting personalities very well. Sarah Bolger captures the essence of the bossy older sister quite well, and adds a good amount of depth in the relationship of the family.

I think the adult actors/actresses were a bit lacking. Aside from the animated characters, the actual physically present actors seemed a bit fake to me. They are indeed starring in a children's/family movie, and they give the air that they think the movie is beneath them, often giving fake-looking expressions and the like. The performance of the child actors was far more believable.

I loved the animation and the intense bits of the movie, and sometimes I even flinched and groaned in disgust, which is hard to make me do. I think it could have been better if more attention was placed on the emotional problems of the mother and the history of the Spiderwick family, but all and all it was a decent movie.

Movie: Legend of Billie Jean
Rating: 9/10

I was prepared to be bored by this movie and was surprised when I liked it. I really can't explain the movie well, all I can say is that thoroughly enjoyed it. Thumbs Up!

Movie: 10,000 B.C.
Rating: 10/10

I really expected this movie to be..well prehistoric, but it actually wasn't really. It had a really great storyline combined with good action and good actors, so I thoroughly enjoyed seeing it. I recommend this movie to anyone else who is thinking about seeing it.

Movie:Planet Terror
Rating: 100000000000000000000000/10 lol!

I adore this film so much, its fantastic! Cant believe people have slated it!

U2 3D

8.5/10

Ok not strictly a movie but it was on at the pics so....

Anyway it was a Vertigo concert in 3D and it was pretty darn epic altho at timesit didnt look very 3D the times it DID were quality I swear if Bono got that close to me in RL I think I would quite possibly die

I just sang along like a div and probably annoyed everyone else in the cinema. Pluse the glasses made me look like a plonker so it loses half a point for that

Movie: Juno
Rating: 9/10

Quite hilarious to be quite honest with you. If you watch it, you wouldn't be surprised that it won the Oscar for Best Screenplay. Great performance with Ellen Page.

National Treasure, Book of Secrets.

Rating 9/10
I would have to compliment this movie as being almost as good as the prequel. I have nothing but good things to say about this. I sat glued to the screen. I would recommend any history buff to see these movies.:cookie2:

Last night I watched: A Perfect Stranger? I believe that was the title. Good lorrdd. It had alot of twists, in it. I'd probably give it a 7 out of 10. Let's just say, the end of it, made me go: Oh my God. Someone you would've never expected. But yeah, it has Halley Berry in it and Bruce Willis? Pretty good movie. I recommend it!

I saw PENELOPE tonight with a girl friend of mine... not a girlfriend, but a girl friend, get it? Anyway... it was pretty good. Much better than I thought it would be... had a kind of unexpected outcome that I really liked, that kind of gave the film a message.

It gave a few laughs, though no leg slappers or hysterical laughter hits, but it was still good... the whole show was fairly lighthearted and kept a good pace so I never got bored at any time... something psuedo interesting or psuedo funny was always happening... but nothing ever made a big impact, either.

Being niether great nor bad, this movie is okay, and though I wouldn't prophetically recommend it, I wouldn't tell anyone not to see it, either. If you're into romantic comedies with wierdo plot devices, you'll probably like it... but for casual viewers, theres no real need to rush out and see it.

Thus the film gets 3 out of 5 fleeing suitors.

Movie: Horton Hears a Who
Rating: 9/10

Oh. My. God. Okay, so everyone was like, "ehh that's a kid movie I don't want to see it," but my friend did and needed someone to go with her, so I did. I don't really care about what other people say about movies; I let myself form my own opinions. But needless to say, I had plenty of expectations, and they were all met.

This movie was hilarious. All of the characters were wacky and witty, and there's even an anime spoof in it that had me on the floor crying. Its only downside is that there were some cheesy moments that were just a bit too cheesy for me, but the jokes and happenings were original for the most part, and to die for.

I loved this movie, and I barely have any 'kid' in me anymore. I recommend it to people who can appreciate a more subdued form of humor. :monster:

Just Friends
Rating 10/10

A perfect movie for those who have heard these words told by someone they love.
This comedy is about a young man named Chris who was a tubby lad during the 90's. As he went to high school, he had a big crush on a sweet cheerleader Jamie. Once the whole school heard about it, Chris left New Jersey and moved to LA. There he found a great job in Hollywood.
His ex was a popular singer who annoyed him by her written song 'Forgiveness'. Both of them were flying to Paris when their airship broke off. Chris had to spend a whole week in New Jersey. There he meets his old friends, everybody is surprised how much he has changed. From tubby to thin. From a nerd to a hottie.

I loved it, it was funny and quite romantic.

"V for Vendetta"
Rating: Perfect 10/10

Summary:
The story takes place in a futuristic England, where a totalitarian government lead by Adam Sutler is ruling England with an iron fist rule, being quite racist. The government's motto is "Strength through Unity, Unity through Faith", in a false irony to have a very religious leader acting with selfishness against those he hates. The government is constantly defied by "V", a character that represents those who are oppressed by a government. He says that "People are not supposed to fear the government, it is the government that is meant to fear the people", as he unleashes a 20 years conspiracy taking down members of the "Party" that Sutler leads.

I know the movie is from 2005, but sure it is far better than the movies we see nowadays

Today I caught the movie "He Got Game" on DirecTV. Stars Denzel Washington and Ray Allen who plays in the NBA for the Celtics. At the time the movie was shot he was a second year guy for the Milwaukee Bucks then.

It's pretty good. I know it came out back in 1998 and I wanted to see it for so long, but never got to until 10 freakin' years later. It's pretty good because of my love for the game of basketball, and it's set in a different perspective than where I grew up and how your parents can have such an influence (good or bad) on how you turn out.

Re-watched Lost In Translation

7.9 / 10

It gets better the more you watch it as there's more subtleties to the script and acting that charmed me into actually liking this movie.

Last film I watched was The Hunchback of Notre Dame. I hadn't watched it in aaages and had completely forgotten how good it was, and how much Frollo used to scare me when I was a child. :wacky: It remains one of my favourite Disney, with a great soundtrack aswell. xD

Last movie i watched was: Sweeney Todd.
