Last Movie You've Seen

Step Brothers

One of the best comedies I've seen in a while, plenty of laugh out loud moments. The
scene where the family is singing sweet child o' mine in the car
is funny on so many levels, genius! xD I definitely recommend it!

30 Days of Night - 8/10

Great vampire, possibly one of the greatest so far. Story is pretty wicked, but has some holes in it that they really don't cover much on. Special effects on it were awesome and it was just an all around enjoyable movie.

My Best Friend's Girl

9.5/10

Awesome movie. It just came out on DVD earlier this week, but I saw it in theater the day it came out too. Comedian Dane Cook is in it, and I had only listened a little bit to his comedy acts before, but his role in this movie is awesome! Definitely worth the money to watch @ the movies and to get on DVD.

Snakes on a Plane - 6/10

It's an okay film, really. There's a great following around it and it's all because Samuel Jackson's in it...but I don't even think he's that much of a good actor. Anyway, the film's pretty average but watchable.

Alvin and the Chipmunks
8/10
I did watch quite late but it was very good despite the fact the I hated their singing, their voices was really irritating, but it was funny at some other points.

Harvey

9.5/10

James Stewart is fastly becoming one of my favourite actors, he was able to pull off interesting characters. This is no exception. A man has an invisible 6ft tall giant rabbit as a friend, called Harvey... But no one else can see it... Is it real? Is he mad? :D
What else is there to want from a movie? :D

The Emperors New Groove

10/10

I've always loved this movie, ever since it came out.

Mod Edit: Can you put more effort into your posts please. Eg why you like it etc.

One of the funniest movies i've seen in a long time, if not the funniest. Just the material they come up with in this movie is so funny and original. Will Ferrell and John C. Reily are great together.

The Dark Knight

8.8/10

Action aspect of the movie was superb.. hardly was there a dull moment. I found it much better than the other Batman movies, tbh. The Joker really, for me, was the entire movie -- and the supporting cast was very good as well.

I admit, It's nice to have a movie where you actually care about the characters other than the main character/hero.

Idiocracy

It was alright, I didn't find myself in stitches of laughter but I had a few chuckling moments. The idea behind the movie was pretty good and the storyline worked well in my opinion. I wasn't surprised when I discovered it was made by the guy who did Beavis and Butthead, so If you're into that kinda stuff you will probably like this movie.

Junior - 2/10

Arnold Schwarzenegger plays the world's "first pregnant man". It made me realise just how much of an awful actor he actually is and, though the concept of Robocop being up the duff was mildly entertaining, it was an awful film. xD

Silent Hill - 5/10

Could have been decent, but marred by terrible plot, crappy adaptation, and bad acting. To make a movie out a video game with as huge a following as Silent Hill, and then differ from that game in such vast, puzzling ways, is fucking stupid. I get that we're a Christian world, I get that we think it's clever and alternative to mock the fundies, but I don't get why the fuck Silent Hill had to be a forum for that. Witch burning? Come on!

Using the mine fires as a reason for why the town is abandoned takes a huge, sloppy dump all over what little atmosphere may have existed. The realworld Silent Hill was okay, but the otherworld was fucking shitty, and had way too many monsters.

I disliked how they brought in elements from SH2. Yeah, Pyramid Head is cool, but he's got nothing to do with SH1. The point of the game was that the "otherworld" was Alessa's nightmare, and the monsters are projections of her psychological hell. Why the fuck is a seven year old having a nightmare about sexy nurses?

The whole thing was too dumbed down, and too fucking long. I can pay attention to three hour David Lynch films with out problems, but after an hour of this shit I was contemplating fast forwarding to the end.

I give it a 5 because they did a remarkably decent job with the actual look of the town of Silent Hill, I liked the way the whole flashback part towards the end was done, and I sort of liked reusing Yamaoka's music(but probably because it reminded me of scenes in the games and gave me something more interesting to think about). Also, the Christobella lady or whoever looked a lot like Alice Kirge, and the Borg Queen gives me warm, fuzzy feelings.

Edit: Oh, it is Alice Kirge. And I'm also horrified that Radha Mitchell played Rose. High Art is one of my favorite movies. I don't get how she could go from that to this. Damn.

^ I watched it, it was crap. XD

Old School

10/10

It's one of the best movies I've ever watched, it's fucking hilarious, one of the best comedy you can ever see. XD Frank the Tank is funny nothing like him, "I can't imagine I'm gonna have sex with ONLY one person, only on" XD

Slumdog Millionaire

I hadn't heard anything about this movie other than "OMG!" so I decided to give it a watch. I watched the first 2 minutes of it and so I decide to watch a trailer of it first to see what I was getting into. Anyway, the movie was outstanding. I was on the edge of my seat it was just so engrossing. I also like to give a special mention to the child actors that play a large role in the movie. It must be annoying with kids and acting but these kids done an amazing job and in my opinion it was these scenes were the movie shines.

My Bloody Valentine 3D

This movie was absolutely terrifying o__o I'm not a big fan of scary movies in general, but throw 3D into the mix and I'm about the biggest scardy-cat you've ever seen. If you're a fan of blood and gore, than this movie is definately for you. You're thrown into all of that stuff pretty much immediately. As far as the storyline goes, it was decent. Overall, I'd give it a 7/10.

Election

I love this movie, I think this was the third time I've seen it. I found it quite humorous and the characters stirred some emotions in me. I'm not sure what it was about the movie, but something about it reminded me of "American Beauty", Maybe it had something to do with the ideas or themes or something, I can't quite put my finger on it but I can definitely see some similarities.

Inland Empire -- 10/10

I just finished watching it for the first time, and it's difficult to say anything. I don't know if there's a plot. It really does feel like a series of vignettes loosely connected in one way or another, but it doesn't make the film any less enjoyable.

I haven't felt this overwhelmed by a film since Mulholland Drive, and in fact, this is in a way even more overwhelming since it seems, as of this viewing, totally fucking impossible to piece it together(and sort of uneccessary anyways). I love it. Shit.

Bride Wars - 6/10

Chick flick, saw it for a friends birthday. While there were 4 actors who were really good and genuinely funny, the film just felt clichéd, and predictable and really rather dull. When the film was funny, it was funny, but when it dragged on, it really dragged on.

The Wackness.
8/10
OMG was i so wanting to see this movie. I was super excited when my sister brought me over a burned copy of it. I've been wanting to see it ever since i saw the Trailer. I was sad because it wasn't as good as i was expecting it to be, but it was still pretty good. It's basically one of my favourite movies now still. Its basically about a guy that sells dope to make money and he meets this girl and they start hanging out. He has no friends other then a physciatrist who happens to be the girl he likes step father. It's basically revolves around drugs and theres a bit of romance and comedy in it. I definitely recommend it for a watch.

Fight Club 10/10

I love this movie to extents no human will ever understand. I don't even know why. The plot of the movie is great and most of the story kept me wondering what was going on. I keep finding new things every time I see it. I have watched this movie 12+ times and I still love it.
