lol The doc's gonna be busy cause 23 of us said it (he/she) was pretty damn useless. haha I'll give you that her attack power might've been high but that doesn't change the fact that you're basically playing with a turd. A turd that has no backstory, may I remind you. lol So while "useful" in battle, she's useless in every other sense of the word. You could have easily replaced the character with a bag of Frijoles and no one would've known the difference.

Ah yes, the virtually non-existent story for Quina. Still, Quina has far more uses than a fair few of the other characters up on the list.

Speaking of, I'll retract my vote. Cinna was fecking awful. >.< Even if he coujld help you steal things from Baku at the start...
 
Zidane was the worst character IMO. the rest really had a lot more potential.

Quina was lethal with Frog Drop and Angel Whisper was really useful!!!
Eiko was great because she got her cure spells earlier than Garnet, and her Double Cast is vital in beating Ozma plus she had Holy as well.
Amarant is a great attacker and his Flairs are very useful as well. Especially Elan. He was very good.

The Marcus/Cinna/Blank group were a total waste of time.
Beatrix was handy but her MP was far too low though.

And Freya is a real solid fighter in general.

Zidane is just a waste :eek:
 
Quina, It sucked
Also Zidane, I didn't like him, I'd much rather Blank be the main character,plus he looks cooler.
 
Amarant useless? What!?

He can cast Auto Life on players and has great attack power. How can he be useless?

I always thought Eiko was the most useless character. Sooo annoying. Her summons are garbage compared to Garnet's so why should i even consider Eiko. I've never used her in the 4 times i've beaten the game.
 
I would say Garnet. I don't care if she IS a main character. I just can't stand her. Never could. Plus, she's a pretty horried character to use in battle. Yet again, I just never used her. Or Eiko.
 
Well in terms of story i would probably have to say Quina.

But in battle terms i will say Dagger because although she as more summons than Eiko, Eiko is a better white mage and more usefull in my opinion.

Plus i really don´t like Dagger:dry:
 
arament was great... quina sucked. His only gd ok was holy lv4 but that never hit so it's useless gd for him
 
Eiko Gets My Vote! Because Eiko is practically the same as Garnet/Stimpy (Stimpy is what I renamed her...) Garnet and Eiko are both White Mage/Summoners but since you get Garnet early in the game she is more powerful and she has stronger magic and eidolons than Eiko. Madeen is good though. Quina is also pretty useless but he can sometimes hit hard but he also can hit weakly. Hate it how his attack power is random when it hits!
 
Beatrix's power insanely reduces when she's on your side, it's like, when you were against me, you could do so much ass-kickery, now being on the good side has made you a helluva lot weaker. Of course, I digress, Cinna was total, and utter crapola.
 
I'm gonna have to go with Amarant myself. When he joined it was just kinda like.....outta the blue, and for no real reason. I'm still not sure exactly why he joined the party...I mean I know what was said but...I guess it just looked completely random to me.

He was good in battle, but, you can get through battles just as easy with a good ol' fashioned Steiner & Vivi combo.
 
it's got to be quina...just because it's bad at everything.

and to clear it up, quina is neither he nor she, it's from a thrid gender.

I think this character is a very useful one, but only if u spend some time catching frogs. The higher the number of catched frogs and quina's level, the more effective is the blu magic frog splash (or something like that). I think that the damage this attack does its :quina's level x the number of catched frogs, which means that if she is on level 20 and if u catched 10 frogs, frog splash will deal 200 damage. In a late phase of the game, this is a very usefull character...
 
Quina was an annoyance.. I'd keep dying whenever I kept trying to eat enemies. I'd never get them to the right health.. and when I were about to get them, they'd die. As for her/his/it's forks.. well.. that's self explanatory... Giant forks = no. Just no.
 
People fail to understand that Quina might very well be the most powerfull character in FFIX...:dry:
 
Eiko because she is a weaker version of Garnet\Dagger and you don't really need two summoners.

I think that eiko is better than dagger actually, but because of the white magics. Holy can be much more effective than any summon of dagger...i think that even ark is not as good as holy
