[RP] Kingdom Hearts: Into The Dusk

"After the first two, i'd be disappointed if you didn't give me your all..."

"Haha you sound over confident Tsuki. Don't underestimate me cause I'm a girl."

Laleth summoned her keyblade. She would be fighting the same man who she met in the forest on their last planet. "Don't go easy on me." laleth spoke in her readying stance.

She gazed back at him, her yellow eyes full of determination and steady gaze. She would make sure to give it her all and win. As soon as the announcer stated to begin the match, Laleth stepped back to be cautious. She kept her gaze fixed. when, how and where he struck would be completely in her feild of vision. If that didn't work there was always her plan B.

Tsuki let out a small chuckle before he initiated a run at Laleth, or at least what would be suspected of being a run, activating his 'timeslow' ability he ran straight past her and playfully pushed her in the back "what's wrong? I'm over here!" before waiting for her reaction he leapt over her in timeslow, spinning his Oblivion keyblade around his finger before pointing it at Laleth "you've got to move faster than that if you want to beat me, i'll even give you a headstart"

"you've got to move faster than that if you want to beat me, I'll even give you a head start"

"Hmmm this doesn't seem fair. I've got above average speed. You must be using something else." Laleth was confident in her abilities.

Speed and defense were her strongest assets. The fact that someone had tried to breach them was extremely unlikely. She distanced herself away from him once more and transformed her keyblade. The shape was still the same, only this time it had an extra string attached upon it. "Okay so now that's settled I'll give you a head start this time." She spoke with anger in her voice.

Her keyblade was focused upon Tsuki, waiting for him to move even an inch. Laleth always was a better archer after all, using her keyblade as a bow came naturally to her.

OOC: small post is very small :sad2:

"Aww come now, playing defensively won't win a fight, you just delay the inevitable that way... Though the same can be said of using the Keyblade as a weapon..."

With that said he removed his keyblades and began to slowly walk towards her, using timeslow to move from side to side, keeping him from being a walking target. "Perhaps you could use a bit of training in both regards, but then again, maybe you're too young to handle it"

Raven and Desiree:

The two entered the armory, through the double doors. Within were aisles and aisles of weapons.

As Raven looked on the wall with pistols, he combed over the different makes and models. He eventually came across one, a M1911 .45 Handgun. It looked like it was a stock model, but it felt different.

"So...I see you favor a .45."

Raven turned around and saw Maria Long, the 596th's Sniper, she was loading up her Gunarrow Crossbow. "You could say that...I'm looking for a gun to replace my old one. It got destroyed in a prior battle."

"I see...come with me." Maria directed Raven and Desiree down the aisle, coming across additional Pistols, finally coming across a large-silver colored gun. "M6G Magnum, .50 caliber. 8 round clip. It's made of Titanium so it can be used to parry attacks." Pulling out the pistol off the wall, she handed the weapon to Raven, which Raven took. It felt a bit weighted, but not by much. It seemed much more powerful compared to his previous Firearms, but he will see for himself on the battlefield.

"Might I suggest you get a longer range weapon, considering your pistols lack the range, or the punch."

"Yeah, I guess your right."

"Well, try this on for size."
Maria went to the other side of the aisle, and picked up another gun, it was larger and carried a scope. "M392 Designated Marksman Rifle, 7.62mm, 15 rounds. Capable of splattering a target's brain from up to 800 meters."

"A DMR...only other one I've seen was on a M14 and G3."
Raven looked at the gun, and got a feel for it. It was a Converted Battle Rifle, capable of both semi-auto and full-auto fire. Still it was a good enough weapon, and he had training in Rifles and Sniper Rifles, albeit with the latter analogs. "Alright, I'll see what this can do."

Luna, Elaine, Chao, Sora and Riku

The Falcon flew in the direction of Radiant Square Garden, with the five of them landing in the helipad by the RSG. All 5 occupants left the chopper, with Sora looking through binoculars, "The Semi-Finals are still going on, there is a match on right now."

"Who's fighting?"
Luna asked, and Sora handed the binoculars to her. Looking through them she saw Laleth and Tsuki fighting.

"So, who's fighting?"
Elaine asked in an excited tone.

"Laleth and Tsuki. The girl has skill to have gotten this far."

"Or she was lucky."
Chao responded back.

"Come on, let's get into the stadium."
Riku said, heading in that direction.

"A DMR...only other one I've seen was on a M14 and G3."

A smile crept into Kaufman's lips. In her mind, the gunslinger couldn't help bu find it amusing that her friend has gone and replaced a revolver with a rifle. Perhaps Raven was going to switch between shooting and sword fighting? Whatever it was, Kaufman approved of the armoury here, but found it somewhat not to her liking. The range was wide and their power was quite up to standard. However, they lacked what Kaufman found in guns on Castles in the Sky (what her planet is called), that is modularity. As a Sky Hunter, weight is a serious issue. Too heavy and Hunters would drop like a rock in jumps. The only person Kaufman ever knew that was the exception was Amaya. Her preference didnt stop Kaufman from wrapping her fingers around a pistol to try out.

Hm..... nope.... nope..... too small.... oooOOOooo.... this looks nice...

Sitting there in the open shone a golden gun of an enormous caliber. Delicately as if glass, Kaufman lifted the gun up to her eye level and marveled at the workmanship.

Desert Eagle.... Point five oh..... lets give this beast a test....

She swayed over next to Raven and slotted in a magazine of the gigantic shells.

lets give this a shot then shall we, Raven darling?

Kaufman leveled the Desert Eagle in one hand and let off a shot.

Chao

Chao was curious. It had not crossed the princess' mind but she had never seen either person in combat before. While she was most definitely glad that there were new recruits, quality over quantity was the way Chao had always lived by. A single unit can easily wipe out legions. The small group made their way into the arena and looked down into the ring. Things were just heating up.

Just a side though.... who do you think will win? Seems rather close matched to me.

Raven:

As Desiree came up beside him and fired the Golden Deagle down the row, Raven was amused. Though this was the first time he (and possibly anyone else in his team) had worked with a mercenary, he can tell that at least she was enjoying herself, which Raven was glad for, it made him remember what his father said, "What's the point of doing something if you're not going to enjoy it?"

Focusing back on the situation, Raven saw the round hit the target from a few meters away. "Nice shot." Raven said calmly "Maybe I should pick one of those up."

Raven took a look at the Golden Gun Desiree picked up, it was a Desert Eagle. He knew of the .50 caliber rounds the gun used, but with only 6-rounds per clip, it was a somewhat bad tradeoff, still it was much better than the revolver.

"I'll stick with the DMR for now."
Raven finally said. "Found anything else that interests you?" He asked Desiree.

"Judging from what I saw,"
Luna responded to Chao's question. "Tsuki would most likely win."

"Do you seriously believe that?"
Elaine retorted, "I mean, sure Laleth is young, that means her opponent should be underestimating her, right?"

"Wrong."
Luna said, "It's common sense, you underestimate an opponent, you wind up dead. Laleth is young and inexperienced, so I doubt she would be successful here."

As the group walked into the stadium, they looked around for seats.

"Then again..."
Luna closed her eyes, thinking back "I did indeed think that a certain captain would be inexperienced and probably be dead within a week, and he had proved me wrong. I made that mistake of underestimating him."

"Heh, you definitely sound like you're into him alright. Yet...I feel the same way too, he has something in common with both of us, huh."

Kaufman

"I'll stick with the DMR for now. Found anything else that interests you?"

As much as Kaufman found the pistol to be great to shoot with, it was more fun than anything. A small magazine clip was a negative in her line of profession unless they were a crack shot. Even though she was, they were not up to scratch. They felt odd in her hand. That may be because every single pistol and gun that Kaufman owned was custom made for her. Frost and Snow, the revolvers that chambered a smilarly powerful round was much to her liking as a result of this. Perfect balance. At the last bullet, Kaufman flicked the safety on and tossed it back to where it was before. It was all flash and bling, much to her disgust. As she was about to reply no to Raven, one thing did catch her attention.

Hm....

Kaufman hefted a compact crossbow from the bench and took it back to the range. She had a good feeling about it and slotting in one of the bolts, she let it fly, embedding halfway down the shaft before it, to her satisfaction, exploded like a grenade.

I think i did Raven. Ill take this.

Kaufman went to the armourer to deal with any formalities that needed to be dealt with when taking a weapon.

Well, i'm set with this.

OOC: Sorry for the crappy post, least expecting it to be here. I just don't have a lot to work with.

Raven:

Desiree looked as if she was going to say no. He wouldn't blame her, Raven wasn't a fan of guns that didn't had the ammo capacity, and although he was cleared to fire the Deagle, he finds that it's rival, the M6, moreso the M6C and D, can outlast it as far as ammo is concerned.

However Raven saw the mercenary pick up a compact crossbow and fire an explosive bolt that left a hole in the wall.

I think i did Raven. Ill take this.

"Well, let's pay for these guns get outta here before we have to pay for damages."

"Oh don't worry, it's gonna come out on your tab, including the hole in the wall."
Maria said

"...Fine. Hopefully it isn't too much, I still need money you know."

"Sure you do..."

"Perhaps you could use a bit of training in both regards, but then again, maybe you're too young to handle it"

Did this man honestly think her speed was nothing? She scould be just as fast and take enough hits. Laleth backed away slowly predicting his movements as he moved from side to side. She then charged an arrow upon her bow and let loose a flurry of energy that shot out like a wave in front of her. Energy arrows wen't spraying in all directions ad as they did, Laleth quickly darted to the side of the arena, getting a close look at the man to see how he activated his ability.

She felt a bit threatened. Just because she was a girl he probably figured she's weak. laleth's blood boiled at the thought and she stood waiting to see there the man would go before She activated another of her abilities. "Should I go all out on this guy?" she asked herself aloud as she readied her keyblade to parry any incoming attacks.

Raven:

After Raven made the purchases for him and Desiree, they both left the armory. Checking the clock, they still had about 2 hours to kill.

"Well, we have time to kill before we head off. What do you wanna do? Besides, I have questions myself that I wanna ask about you."

----
Tsuki:

Tsuki saw Laleth launch her energy wave that was about close to his level. Utilizing his timeslow ability. He jumped over the wave attack, and landed at the same spot. Summoning his Keyblade, he deactivated his ability, and used his weapon to deflect the energy bolts into the sky. "Alright, time to end this."

Tsuki then ran forward, once again using his ability, to rush up towards Laleth, likely before she could counter, and performed a sweeping kick, which if connects, would knock her to the ground, and potentially end this match.

(OC: Funny how Tsuki managed to dodge an attack that went "in every direction" plus that timeslow ability isn't as extreme as it lets on as it's clearly stated in her bio she has incredible speed most likely making her move at regular speed of an average person when slowed down.....just pointing things out ^_^)

Laleth awaited the attack and of course as she thought he came towards her. The girl activated her ability as soon as she saw the man flash from his spot. She could see his blur. heading over towards her and as she saw this she smiled. As soon as he came close enough she parried his attack with a quick sweep of her keyblade and a portal into another world opened right in front of her eyes.

She summoned a demon to aid her in this battle. She chuckled. "The more the merrier right?" she spoke. to the man on the ground. As a creature that looked almost wormlike came falling from his world and onto the arena. "Oh come on now. you simply must learn a new tactic, otherwise I'll have to kill you." Laleth had spoken, but out of turn for her own sake.

She had begun to fear that she was becoming what she hated the most: a monster. She could not help this, for it was natural for her uncontrolled demonic impulses to become stronger as battles waged on for so long. She could feel her anger rising. "Scorch the arena." She commanded the demon as it rose two stories high into the air preparing to blast the arena to bits with a fiery flame.

Laleth stood in the midst of this, for she wanted to be burned. She fought this urge, she needed to move but a part of her wouldn't let her. She had become stuck between a raging war in her head. Something done to herself all for her desire to win.

ooc: And back to kick some ass :awesome: Also Oliver, if you'd rather I didn't godmod here, say so and i'll edit :gasp:

ic:

Tsuki watched as the girl summoned a demon and without trouble managed to order it to attack "Incredible... Can't say I expected this from a pint sized rookie... However... Something seems off, wait- she's going to get herself killed!"

Removing his keyblade he charged at Laleth, as he was about to pass her he grabbed her with his left arm, putting her over his shoulder as he hit the arena wall and began to run up it. Keeping his eyes on the demon he leapt off when he was equal in height to it and summoned Oblivion as he was about to reach it, cutting through it as he passed.

"And... That oughta do it" after that he dropped Laleth "Now, as for you... Don't you think you should get out of range before trying to wipe me out? Or is trying to get yourself killed some kind of new hobby with kids lately?"

(OOC: I actually like the mod. It works.)

"Now, as for you... Don't you think you should get out of range before trying to wipe me out? Or is trying to get yourself killed some kind of new hobby with kids lately?"

"W-wha?"
Laleth had felt dizzy and could barely hear or stand fully balanced.

The summoning had taken a large amount of her energy. It was hard to make out what was going on but what she knew for certain was that she was herself again once more. "I don't know what I was doing." She said regaining her senses. "But for the record you didn't win!"

She spoke in an as-a-matter-of-fact tone as she walked off the arena grounds frustrated. She couldn't help but to wonder where Raven and the crew had gone in her time of absence.

Watching Laleth run off, Tsuki remarked "Sheesh... Talk about gratitude" as the crowd began to applaud him, Tsuki shouldered his Keyblade and walked out of the arena. He wanted to go and check on Laleth but right now it probably wouldn't go down well.

Seating himself in his room he waited to be called again, he could feel his strength beginning to tire from all the battles so he had to rest up before it got him beaten, something he would not allow.

OOC: Waiting on your post on Raven's end Tipsy.

IC:
Luna and Elaine

As the fight continued between Tsuki and Laleth, Elaine looked nervously while Luna watched calmly. The fight was mostly one-sided. That was until Laleth started acting...different, summoning a demon from another realm. Elaine stood up, ready to leap into action and stop the fight, but Luna grabbed her shoulder.

"No..." Luna said

"But Luna, we've gotta stop the fight before..."

"Wait, something tells me there's more to Tsuki than he is letting on."

The girls saw Tsuki run up to catch Laleth from the demon she summoned, run up the north wall and slice through the creature in one slice. Fairly impressive given the circumstance, he was able to end the situation before it could get worse. The stunned crowed applauded as Tsuki won the match, but Luna and more so Eliane were a bit nervous on the situation. As Laleth left Elaine said "Hey, let's go and cheer up Laleth."

Luna sighed then said, "Alright...Chao, you coming?"

OOC: Right. one post, coming up. Kaufman is going to Be REEAAAL short

Kaufman

"Well, we have time to kill before we head off. What do you wanna do? Besides, I have questions myself that I wanna ask about you."

Now that they weren't in such a rush, Kaufman realised that she didnt know much about what was going on, nor her teammates. But she was the new person around here and perhaps she should answer what Raven wanted to know first.

Sure. Fire away Darlin'. What do you wanna know? My three sizes?

Chao

Chao was feeling hot under the collar for a while now, even when they were inside the Heartless base. She didn't understand why but while the rest were watching the fight, Chao spent the time kicking back and contemplating... or so she planned.

Ara, rather unsettled are we?

So she planned until Phoenix popped up

Sigh.... yes. Yes i am. How do you know?

Her voice to Phoenix was even more bitter and scything. However, Phoenix, as always, was unperturbed.

I am inside you, you know. What you think, i know. How you feel, i know. Even What injuries you have that you don't know, i know. Kind of think of it like a monitor inside you if you want.

Great. There goes my privacy.

As for you annoyance, might i suggest that it is the thought of me inside you and the impending stress of needing to succeed in your task? After all, failure means certain death to everyone...

You think? And i wonder who is to blame for this?

Well, id like to say me if it makes you feel better, but we all know its not me, but rather... you. I have faith in your bloodline. After all, i have resided in your family for generations on end. However, you're barrier and hostility against me has made you different from your ancestors. That is, you fail to use my powers and accept me, which alas, also bars you from my powers. I do hope you know that I sincerely hope you succeed. Purging is the last final step. If you'd only accept that rather than believing that i would just nuke the entire universe as the first choice, you;d be more likely to succeed with the help of my powers. Think about it.

With that, Phoenix slipped away back into her subconsciousness and Chao found herself looking at Luna.

"Alright...Chao, you coming?"

Huh? Oh right. Yea. Right behind you.

Chao shook herself from her thoughts and jogged down towards Laleth with the others.

OOC: I kind of forgot what questions I was gonna ask so bear with me, so I don't drag this out like KotOR.

Raven:

Sure. Fire away Darlin'. What do you wanna know? My three sizes?

"Uh, no...no" Raven rubbed his hand behind his head chuckling a bit, hiding his nervousness when Desiree said that. As they were walking back to heir Falcon Helo, Raven asked, "What's life like on your world? I know you're a mercenary, but I never thought I meet one so far flung that they've never heard of Heartless before."

----
Luna and Elaine:

Huh? Oh right. Yea. Right behind you.

The three of headed off before hand looking to meet up with Laleth, Luna however seemed worried with Chao. "Is there something wrong Chao?"

Nonetheless the three of them went down the stadium, looking around for Laleth. It was Elaine that found her first down the hall, she was frustrated, but at least she was okay. "Laleth!" Elaine said, hoping to get her attention.

OOC: late nite post. Post for Chao in next post.

Kaufman

"Uh, no...no"

Aw, you sure honey? Don't get a second cha~~~nce...?

Kaufman chuckled. She was always a tease and she couldn't help it. That was just the way she is. If she was too serious, Kaufman didn't think she could have survived leading the Valkyries

"What's life like on your world? I know you're a mercenary, but I never thought I meet one so far flung that they've never heard of Heartless before."
Hm.... My world huh....Would you believe me if i say that almost every single piece of land floats high in the sky? That i own a company of sky mercenaries? That my rival disappeared in the middle of a fight suddenly? Well, my world is that kind of place. Air ships flying everywhere between country sky islands, conflicts between companies, exploring the dungeons down on the ocean surface... Good times. Hectic, fast and for some, short, but its how we live. Unfortunately, as you said, we seem to be far from here. Otherwise, im sure our people would be of some use to you.

Laleth stood just outside the stands. She was happy that someone had stopped her summon, but angry that she couldn't control the situation herself. She opened her black parasol to shield her from the sun above and contemplated on her current journey. It was odd enough she had decided to join Raven's ranks, but now that she thought of it, it had become selfish of her to join the crew only for her own selfish desires. But she figured her situation was dire.

"Laleth!"
As she looked up she could see the others coming towards her. She then smiled as they approached. "So much for girl power huh?" said the little girl playfully. "You guys better believe he's getting a good thrashing from me someday!"

She tried to play it off like it was nothing. She tried to be an adult. But sometimes, at times like these, it was hard for Laleth to act like an adult. No matter how much she wanted maturity she was still only an embarrassed kid. Laleth wanted badly to think of something to get her mind off of her current troubles. "Where did Raven go?" she asked.
