[RP] Kingdom Hearts: Into The Dusk

Feeling a blunt strike to his head, Tsuki recoiled slightly, at full power he'd probably not even feel it, much less be struck by it but right now his body was in no fit state to fight at peak performance, realising his inevitable defeat the darkness within him decided it best to wait for the vessel to grow better accustomed to the darkness. Watching his former opponent lose control of her powers he turned his attention to the only remaining challenge, not even flinching when she leapt into the air with aid from her demon. "Well, it's been fun, we should do this again sometime" with this his body began to levitate as pain welled up in his torso, reeling over to shield the pain an explosion of darkness erupted from him, sending everyone in the near vicinity far out of range of him.

When the explosion faded, Tsuki's body reeled over as he began to slowly fall to the floor, his body radiating black smoke "For now, have your pathetic vessel for now, but mark my words... I'll be back!" Dark Tsuki's voice echoed through the arena, not from his mouth but moreso a telepathic ability, after uttering these words the black smoke left Tsuki's body as he lost conciousness. His body then reverted back to normal and his keyblades vanished, the moon symbol however remained eclipsed on his back.

Raven knew that Tsuki were unable to hold out or much longer. But then he slowly levitated into the air, clutching his torso in pain, then releasing it to cause a large explosion of dark energy that swept him back. Luna and Elaine held on to their footing as they covered their faces from the large gusts of wind generated from the shockwave.

Raven tumbled over a few times before using his Keyblade as a brake to regain his footing. After the explosion was over, he saw Tsuki falling from the sky. The Hero of Unity Islands ran forward and jumped up into the air, then did an Aerial Dodge to get in close so he could grab him before Tsuki hit the round. As he moved to reach him, he said in a booming voice or so he thought, "For now, have your pathetic vessel for now, but mark my words... I'll be back!"

Nonetheless Raven managed to grab Tsuki and slowly descended to the ground where he rested him onto the ground. He was still breathing, but the whole debacle left him unconscious.

"Is everyone alright?" Was the first thing Raven said. He was worried about their safety first and foremost.

"I'm fine, you sure took your sweet time." Luna said dusting herself off before reverting back to normal.

Elaine panted a bit before she said "I'm okay too. But what are you gonna do about him?" Elaine pointed at Tsuki.

"I dunno..." Raven said "I know I'm not planing on leaving him here."

Raven thought about for a moment. "Perhaps he can come with us for now."

"Are you serious?" Elaine asked, surprised at Raven's decision. "What if his darkness takes control of him again?"

"Yeah, I know it's probably a bad idea, but I doubt he would lose control unless he is losing in battle. So I do not think he would be a threat on board the ship."

Luna turned and walked towards Chao who seemed to be injured in her fight. "Chao, take this." Luna pulled out a Hi-Potion to give to her to pour over her wounds.

Chao

For now, have your pathetic vessel for now, but mark my words... I'll be back!"

Phoenix was relieved that this Dark Tsuki backed off. Truth be told, the cracks along her flaming being was spreading from her arms and had began to branch onto her shoulder and spreading across her shoulder blades and chest area. The blinding white glare from the cracks was obvious that it was damaging Chao's body. From the corner of her eye, Phoenix spotted one of Chao's companion, Luna who offered her a salve.

"Chao, take this."

I will not require it, though Chao would the moment i retreat into the depths of her soul. Do care for her.

A blinding flare shot out around Phoenix, the flame as if having a soul of its own flew high into the air and dove straight at Chao's head, fusing straight into her body.

Nrrraghhh!

Chao, now back in control of her body cluthed her right arm. The cracks have now turned to lacerations and began to bleed profusely. The high potion Luna offered should just do the job and wildy, Chao clawed the potion from Luna. The intense pain of the spirit wounds was beyond anything Chao had ever felt and clumsily, she popped the lid and downed half the potion before pouring the other directly onto the wounds. It did begin to close, but unlike the other wounds, it was slow, not instant. All Chao could do was sit there in a fetal position, watching and waiting for the wound to close slowly before her eyes.

Damn that Phoenix....

Although a large majority of her being was cursing the spirit from her heart, a small shard was in total awe of the power she possessed.

Kaufman

Kaufman was still shaken from the explosion. The Falcon hit the damn stands and that meant explosion was earlier than she had thought. The reverberating shockwave rattle her brain. In her current state, even with enhancements, her movements were at best swaying. Arc in hand, the gunslinger double timed it (as much as she could in her condition in any case) towards the group. It was as Raven had feared. Chao, one of the Task Forces key unit seemed to be in a bad shape. If they were to go straight onto a mission, combat fatigue and unknown injuries might cause problems.

Damnit... Raven, how's the situation? Do we have to leave Chao behind?

Nrgh... Ill be fine. When these wounds close, ill be good to go.

Or so she says. Kaufman was a bit worried, but if Chao believe she was in the proper condition to then that was her choice. Kaufman glanced around, waiting on the others. They had yet lost another asset and it wasnt even in combat against the enemy. Kaufman could not help cringe, looking at it from her position as a Guild President. If her guildies pulled a stunt like this, she would have skinned them.

(OOC: The wounds close slowly so patchy uppy)
"For now, have your pathetic vessel for now, but mark my words... I'll be back!"

"Oh I'd be delighted to finish the job." Laleth mumbled under her breath.

With a quick turn of her head towards Death her demon had evaporated into black smoke. She felt much calmer now but had still remained on guard. Walking over to Chao she winced at the bleeding. If Chao was an enemy Laleth would have wanted more to spill, but seeing that this group was all Laleth had for now she felt a sort of attachment to them all.

Walking over as Chaos wounds healed slowly Laleth had ripped off cloth from her dress to use as a bandage. She walked over to Chao in the fetal position and placed the cloth over it. Just in case. Wouldn't want an infection." Laleth said wrapping Chaos arm. "That's what I learned from the church a while ago. 'Never leave a wound open or you'll catch somethign worse than death' they'd say."

The girl smiled. She did not understand why Chao acted this way, for the lady had won the battle. But neither she or the others seemed happy about their victory. Laleth's lack of knowledge of the events around her she wanted to continue the search. She could tell that what she was looking for was not on this world. If she knew her enemies they would have left by now and Laleth still had something to live for. "Okay everyone! Lets get a move on!" she said happily opening her parasol and walking to Luna. "We're boarding the ship right? One to the next destination?"

Luna looked at Chao as she curled herself into a fetal position after drinking the Hi-Potion and pouring it on her wounds. Damn that Phoenix....

Luna was sad for the Princess, having to live a life with a summon that is potentially doing more harm to her than good.

Laleth ran over to Chao, ripped a piece of cloth from her dress and tied it to Chao's arm. "Just in case. Wouldn't want an infection. That's what I learned from the church a while ago. 'Never leave a wound open or you'll catch something worse than death' they'd say."

"The church, Laleth?"
Luna said, "Well, I'm glad to know you have knowledge in treating injuries." Luna smiled, but it was a weak smile. She was still worried for Chao though.

Meanwhile Raven was still holding onto Tsuki's unconscious body. He was deep in thought of what was going on. "Where did that Dark Power come from? Am I falling into the Darkness, why did I hesitate earlier..."

All these thoughts were broken when Desiree said "Damnit... Raven, how's the situation? Do we have to leave Chao behind?"

Nrgh... Ill be fine. When these wounds close, ill be good to go.

"Heh, that's easier said than done." Raven thought

"Okay everyone! Lets get a move on! We're boarding the ship right? One to the next destination?"

"The ship? Oh right, we still have the mission to go do!" Raven thought, before finally saying, "Yeah, Chao can rest in the medbay on the Normandy, good thing the crew came with a doctor when we landed back in Unity." Raven said walking up to Desiree. "But, we're still committed to taking part in the mission, we have to help our friends take back Destiny Islands, and I do not want to let them sacrifice their lives only to fail."

Elaine sighed, before saying to herself, "This operation is pointless..." She then said out loud, "That's why I hate war sometimes! We go ahead, whether they are hurt or sick or not, storm in and follow orders like every other soldier, that's how war is fought." Elaine simply picked up her staff and left the coliseum, heading back to the Normandy.

"You think that that's all their is to it, it's much more than just following orders you know..." Luna said before focusing on Chao "Chao, can you walk?"

Raven knows his comrades are exhausted, it hasn't even been the end of the day yet and morale has been at a low point...but that what sucks about being a leader, he was inexperienced, only stopping short of green only because he was able to lead troops good enough. But would he really be willing to condemn people to death come time for Operation Footprint. The thought popped in his continuously as he headed to the Normandy without any further word.

OOC: Well, it seems like its back down to just me, Oli and Kevin again with Damon here and there

Chao

"Chao, can you walk?"

Brashly spitting out remnants of spittle, blood and dust from her mouth, Chao stood to her feet, clenching in the pain from the wound. It had lessened a great deal now. The potion and the bandage did seem to be working.

Of course. Tis a flesh wound. What doesn't kill you makes you stronger.

Of course, this wasn't exactly her case. Those pills she took bought her life. Chao should have died long ago had it not been for it. Cynically, Chao had always thought that her strength was only that at the time when she had taken the pill for the first time. Time after time again, she skimmed death by the skin of her teeth. She needed power... and she knew where to look for it.

The Medbay eh? Home sweet home...isnt it Luna?

Chao had to put on a brave face, playfully punching Luna on the shoulder before heading to the Normandy. The time alone in its med bay will let her come to conclusion as to how far she will go for it.

Kaufman

Tension felt high in the air. It was a nasty feeling. A sort of melancholy had settled over Chao and Elaine had outright dismissed their mission and the fighting of the war. Kaufman sighed and leaned on Arc, jokingly asking herself whether she had picked the right side.

Well... no point mulling over it,

Raven, we gonna be dropping in hot right? If we are, lets arm up and make some noise.

The explosive crossbow was good, but she wanted something wit a bit more umph and a bit more disposable. There must be something in the ship's armoury for her. Kaufman scrambled on quickly to get first dibs and began shifting through the weaponry as if on a sunday shopping spree down by the mall.

(OOC: Not one of my best posts but it's a start :P Sorry for taking much too long. I thought it was someone else's turn >.<)

Laleth stood amongst the adults. She could sense that they were discussing serious matters. She could feel that they were discussing matters of which she probably could not add to. All the girl could do was follow the team. She held her parasol over her shoulder and walked towards Normandy. Her attitude had lightened up in the moment.

Feeling the harsh demonic like senses leave her be, Laleth made her way to the ship. The Normandy stood tall as ever. "I guess it's time to blast off again!" she said excitedly before remembering the awful stomach sinking feeling she had experienced before.

She had made her way onto the ship and had taken her seat in one of the chairs. She waited for the others and had begun to stare into space. She couldn't help but wonder who the man was that she had met earlier but she had a clue that he would lead her to what she was looking for...

Raven, Luna and Elaine entered the Normandy, with Pop's, the Normandy's mechanic telling the former, "Commander Hamilton put troops on board the Normandy for the operation, they are the units from Company C."

"Well, that's good and all, but I'm in a bit of a rush."
Raven said, carrying Tsuki's unconscious body around.

"Yeah, I guess so. Hurry up and get on, we've got a long flight ahead."

Raven, was the last person to get on as the Normandy's engines began to roar into life. The four other frigates were starting to lift off into the air, followed by the Normandy, which slowly lifted out of the drydocks with everyone on board. The four ships entered space, the lanes between the worlds, heading towards the targeted objective.

Raven, we gonna be dropping in hot right? If we are, lets arm up and make some noise.

"I will in a minute. Let me just drop this body over at the Med Bay first, I'll meet you in the armory later on. Chao come on, let's head down to the Med Bay."

Raven carried Tsuki down to the 3rd Deck, rushing him over to the Medical Bay. The doctor on board said, "What's wrong with him?"

"He was injured in battle, a few stab wounds in the chest."
Raven did not bother to mention in detail about what happened to Tsuki.

"Alright, I'll see about him as soon as possible. What about you, Princess?"

Raven turned to Chao, "Alright, I'll leave you in her care, I'm going to go talk to Desiree, I know you two will be up and about for the mission, till then, get some rest. You guys are gonna need it." Raven smiled before leaving to go back up to the second deck.

----
Meanwhile, Luna and Elaine sat up close to the cockpit. For the most part the two of them were silent, they didn't really feel like talking about anything much at this point.

The two of them had made their viewpoints on war clear to each other, and while they were different. It seemed that they were brought together for a reason.

"I guess it's time to blast off again!"

Laleth saying this, made Luna think that she enjoyed these travels, more than the actual fighting it took in these worlds. But neither of them really responded, rather, the air remained tense, so tense it could be easily cut with a knife.

----
Raven took the elevator back up to Deck 2 and headed behind the ship to the Armory, where she found Desiree perusing across the Normandy's weapons.

"Well, the collection is smaller, but I think there may be something here you'd like." Raven said as he placed his newest gun on the table. He moved to get one of those underslung Grenade Launchers on hand to install onto his DMR.

Chao

"Alright, I'll see about him as soon as possible. What about you, Princess?"

I know you two will be up and about for the mission, till then, get some rest. You guys are gonna need it."

Right. Got it Raven. As for you, my good doctor, its only somthing menial this time. Only surface lacerations along my arm and shoulder area. Nothing a bandaid wont fix.

Hmph. Yeah right. Your record for telling me your wounds have been rather poor princess... now lucky you, all you need to remove is that sleeve you have.

Doing as she was told, Chao laid down on the medical bed as the doctor peeled back the bandage. The cloth was dyed blood red, despite the wound closing. Although she had her eyes closed, Chao did hear the slight. sudden gasp and the tut as he begun working on it. It was lucky she was ambidextrous. She shouldn't have any serious one on one fights in the next battle, so if she stuck with support, Chao believed she should be fine.

Luckily for you, this isn't as bad as i thought. Should be done before we head into combat, so you'll be ready to drop in with the others.

Thanks Doc.

Kaufman

"Well, the collection is smaller, but I think there may be something here you'd like."

Sorry to make you sad, but once im done with them, imma toss em away on the battlefield, so if you have a few that you are sentimental to, then i suggest you not let me have em.... Oh... this looks nice....

Kaufman hefted twin submachine guns. Checking the magazines, it had a high ammo count as well as rate of fire. Best thing was, it seemed easy to use both at the same time.

A bullet hose.... perfect...... hm... how about this....

She knew she was getting greedy, but there sat two pretty nice items. One was a mounted grenade launcher with a chainsaw bar at the top. While probably impossible for most average soldiers, this meant she could carry it mobile on the field. The next was a Lahti L39. If she could, maybe she could take them both, shoot the lahti from the transport and then take the Mk 19 with her off when she lands....

Well.... ill take these four. Whee.... been a long while since i can get crazy with these toys....This is gonna be good.

Laleth sat alone in the chairs waiting for them to arrive at their destination. Holding her parasol and keeping quite still the girl had become a bit agitated and desired movement. With a small jolt upwards the girl had stood and walked out of the room, closing her parasol and walking down one of the ship's halls. She entered the ship's restroom to tidy herself up.

After exiting she felt both refreshed and in need of some sort of mental stimulation. The girl had decided to walk around the ship in a sort of "exploration" expedition. She hummed to herself while walking the halls exploring the large ship. It seemed a bit empty but the girl didn't mind much. She walked down the hall until she had reached the place where Tskui now lay resting. Laleth had decided to drop in.

She slipped into the room quietly to observe Tsuki. She had burned off most of her anger towards him but she still felt sour. She stood there in the room with Tsuki staring for a while thinking about how she would be able to destroy both Tsuki and his dark side one day. As Laleth stood there daydreaming she could feel something else stirring within her.

She had realized that she was getting sidetracked from what she was looking for. She absolutely couldn't make any new goals right now. After a sharp turn of her heel laleth walked from the room into the hall and began to explore the ship further.

Raven:

Sorry to make you sad, but once im done with them, imma toss em away on the battlefield, so if you have a few that you are sentimental to, then i suggest you not let me have em.... Oh... this looks nice....

Raven had a sly smile on his face, "Oh don't you worry about sentimental value. Any guns I wanna keep, I always keep close to my side." As he said this, he pulled out a Beretta 92F with a Laser Sight and started twirling it with his fingers, the gun on safety. "Besides, times like these...some problems can't be solved with a Keyblade alone." Raven put the gun in his gun holster on the right side of his thigh, and put the DMR on his back.

Well.... ill take these four. Whee.... been a long while since i can get crazy with these toys....This is gonna be good.

Looking at Desiree, who was taking two M7 SMG's, a Grenade Launcher with Chainsaw attachment and an Anti-Tank Rifle, Raven chuckled, "Well it seems your ready for battle."

The AI who spoke over the intercom, "We have arrived at Destiny Islands, all troops on board, get to your Pelicans, I repeat, all troops on board, get to your Pelicans."

"Well, time to go Desiree." Raven said, leaving the armory and heading to the lift for the 5th floor.

----
Luna and Elaine

Luna was the first to speak, though this time, the topic was away from the conduct of war, and on the leader, Raven "Elaine, did you notice Raven back there when we were fighting Tsuki's Dark Side?"

"I noticed he hesitated for a bit, but he kept going after Tsuki, Why??"

Luna thought for a moment then said, "When we were on our way back to the Normandy, my Summon Spirit, Shiva felt a strong degree of darkness."

"From Tsuki, I know."

"Not from Tsuki...from Raven."

Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep OST-Xeanhort

Elaine closed her eyes, "No, I don't believe it..."

"No..." Luna said flatly, looking out into space, with Destiny Islands in the distance. "Neither of us want anything bad happen to him...But, I'm afraid of what would happen to him if he loses control. After all, this isn't the first time he had to delve into his darkness." Luna thought back to the time when Raven fought the Arbiter, Dagr Scinfaxi. He had used his darkness, fueled by the rage and hatred from the loss of comrades and the fact that the man was going to destroy the world he was born and raised in.

"Don't worry, I'm sure he'll grow over it." As soon as the announcement was heard across the intercom, Elaine went over to the elevator. Luna thought to herself though, "If only it were so easy...Once darkness takes root, it's impossible to remove especially when you have something weighing you down. Raven...please be careful..." Luna then followed Elaine to the elevator, meeting Raven and whoever else may be in the armory to head to the Normandy's Hangar in Deck 5. Raven looked at Luna and Elaine, both of them a little shaken up. He said, "Is there something wrong?"

"I wouldn't worry all too much about me Raven, I'm fine."

"Nothing's wrong, Raven."

Paying no mind to the matter, Raven finally said, "Alright, let's take back the Islands."

OOC: Gotta somehow think of a way to get Oli more involved. I realised a lot fo the times he is just wandering around.

Kaufman

"Oh don't you worry about sentimental value. Any guns I wanna keep, I always keep close to my side. Besides, times like these...some problems can't be solved with a Keyblade alone."

Kaufman took note of the Keyblade. It was an interesting weapon, to say the least. Her Ventro Blade was every bit a sword should look, with a definitie edge. These....."keyblades" however, looked hardly suitable to cut anything with its intricate head designs. Particularly so since the part that seems to cut is only the key head and not the entire length of the key to the hilt. Kaufman has seem them in action though and their ability to cut has shot down all her reasoning. Out of all her current comrades, besides the princess, they all seemed to have some dimensional abilities that allow them to be summoned.

Hm... that would be handy... i could actually pack in more explosives and firepower if that dimensional ability can be used on other weapons...

"Well it seems your ready for battle."

"We have arrived at Destiny Islands, all troops on board, get to your Pelicans, I repeat, all troops on board, get to your Pelicans."

"Well, time to go Desiree."

Right. Let's go.... Humppphhhh!!!

Being rather lazy, Kaufman had latched and stowed all the gear she wanted to take into packs and latches on her body. That wasn't particularly the smartest move as she strained against lifting the L-39 and the grenade launcher.

Nrrrrgghhh.....!!

Muscles tensed under the skin and her forehead sigil lit up as Kaufman began channeling power from her lesser implants. Unlike Amaya, whom she had seen hefting gear much heavier than this, Kaufman's implants were more based on shielding.

What the hell..... shit.... Amaya's cannon is much bigger than this... how the hell does she carry that into combat....? Bleh....

Kaufman gave up. Luckily, the L-39 was going to stay on the drop ship. Hijacking a portable field gurney that was probably part of supply drops for troops, Kaufman hefted the heavy anti-tank gun onto it and pushed it towards the elevator. Kaufman went straight to the Pelicans. With the gun around, there was no way she could dally about. As the first one there, Kaufman found her craft, secured all her loose bags (things for her grenade launcher) next to the ramp and dropped herself into the chair closest to the door. The plan was once they were down low enough, she'd request the door be opened and be dropped off last. Whilst her friends jumped off, the L-39 was going to be put through the test. Kaufman smiled wickedly. She had plenty of ammo to burn through. Even if she wastes it all, the chain gun was always there as back up.

Chao

Rise and shine Ohime sama.... They're going to drop soon.

Chao eyes slowly opened. She knew how stupid it was to suddenly snap open her eyes if she was accustomed to darkness. After all, she had countless expierence of the sharp pain of light that tore at her eyes when she didn't know better.

Hm.... I feel a bit better. At least my arm isnt bleeding like hell...

Of course. Who do you think you are talking about here? Your arm is pretty much bandaged and set as well as i can for your damn reckless fighting style. Just come back with it relatively in one piece and ill get to work on it... again,

The Doctor knew her well. He knew she wold not sit this one out and preemptively set her arm in bandages that held it together for rigorous movements. Sliding from the bed and slipping back on the clothes she had removed before, Chao made her way down to the hangar. The gunwoman for hire Kaufman was already there.... petting one of the biggest gun Chao had seen anyone heft by hand. Silently, Chao dropped herself next to a supply crate and leaned back on it, waiting for the others. Conserving strength was a priority

"We have arrived at Destiny Islands, all troops on board, get to your Pelicans, I repeat, all troops on board, get to your Pelicans."

Almost like a summoning, Tsuki's eyes began to open, it appeared he had been transported somewhere he had not been before. Forcing himself into a seated position he observed his surroundings, his best guess was some sort of medical room. As his strength slowly began to return he managed to get to his feet, using the walls as support to walk to the door. Expecting an attack the moment he left the room he tried to summon his keyblades yet for some reason they didn't appear, magic seemed cut off too.

As flashbacks of his previous battle began to resurface he developed a possible conclusion, perhaps his darkness being weakened had strained his own powers, for now he was defenseless and weakened besides, he'd have to rely on his body to get through any obstacles.

Slowly opening the door he walked through and found the area empty, perhaps everyone had already got to their 'pelicans' which just made his job easier.

(OOC: Yea Laleth's just a little girl. She doesn't really have much to do but wonder around, get lost, and make some sort of story arc contributing to character development lol.)

"We have arrived at Destiny Islands, all troops on board, get to your Pelicans, I repeat, all troops on board, get to your Pelicans."

Laleth stopped in her tracks and stared up at the ceiling towards where she assumed the intercom voice had come from. "What's a Pelican?" She asked blankly.

Either way she had found herself turning around and going back the way she came. She traveled through twists and turns of the ships empty halls only to find herself at the ship's exit from whence she had boarded. "Is there where I find this 'Pelican' thing?" She asked frustrated as she leaned on a glass window looking out onto Destiny islands.

OOC: Well that's understandable, Oli. I'll just go on ahead without ya and Damon.

Raven, Luna and Elaine saw both Chao and Desiree, carrying a large Anti-Tank gun. "I hope you'll be able to use that once we hit the ground."

"Raven, what about Tsuki and Laleth?"

"They'll be fine, Tsuki is unconscious and Laleth should be able to take care of herself when necessary, besides our AI should be able to watch over her."

"You know Raven, you'd make for a horrible parent..." Luna said, sitting on a chair next to a group of soldiers talking and her arms folded.

Heading to the door where the pilot was going to pilot it he said before the door closed, "You're pretty harsh, Luna..." As the door shut, Raven looked out into the window as the Pelican slowly lifted off the ground and turned around to face the exit. The Pelican was the last one to fly out of the Normandy, and as it flew out, it and several other Pelican were attacked by Heartless Fighter craft. One Pelican near TF 108's own ship exploded when a Rocket struck the cockpit. But with the help of support fire from the Normandy and the 4 Traversia-class Frigates.

Final Fantasy VIII OST-The Landing

As the Realm of Light Dropships came into the atmosphere of the world. Raven looked out the horizon, seeing the active gun batteries being used as makeshift Flak Gun's. From the look of things, it appeared that Company B had already landed and is currently advancing up the Beach. As Raven turned around and headed back to the crew compartment, he overheard two scouts talking.

A man, roughly about 18 years of age with black hair said "Hey Yami, I got something I need to tell ya!"

The red-headed man whom the other soldier named Yami responded, "The enemy is right in front of us Allen, save it for later!"

"Yeah, I guess you're right...Later, then."

The back doors automatically opened as Raven summoned his Keyblade, the Four Wings for battle. Operation Footprint was in full swing. "We will be landing on the beach shortly." Raven said, "I will go with Luna and Desiree, knock out the coastal gun battery close to our LZ. Chao, you go on ahead with Elaine, assist Company C in taking the first Bunker. Don't be afriad to use Air Support to soften them up." Raven pulls out a Laser Designator from a pocket inside his longcoat and hands it to Chao.

As the Pelicans slowly descended onto the beach, they started to come under fire from Red Nocturnes and Emerald Jazz-type Heartless, firing off Fire and Wind-attribute spells at close range. Luna quickly summoned her Keyblade and retaliated with Blizzard-spells to decimate the Red Nocturnes, while Raven pulled out his DMR and began steadying it with the Keyblade in his other hand. He then proceeded to shoot the EJ's with 7.62-mm rounds, punching holes through the Heartless and dissipating in a dark cloud. "You have your orders, now let's move!!!" Luna and Elaine nodded and began the operation.

----
Objectives:

(M) Capture or Destroy the 1st Bunker (Chao, Elaine):
Eliminate all Heartless and Capture or Destroy the Bunker close to the beach. Use Air Support and Force Recon when necessary to complete the objective.

(S) Destroy Enemy Coastal Gun Battery (Raven, Luna, Desiree):
Destroy the Enemy 88-mm Coastal Gun Battery. If this battery is destroyed, it would help to bring down some Armor to assist in the Landing Operation.

OOC: I was listening to Don't Be Afraid, On THe Verge of Assault and Those Who fight further instead when writing this. Seems oddly apt for Desiree

Chao

The air buffeted around the troop compartment as the back ramps lowered. Chao stood in the center, her own hair flapping in a flurry as the wind caught it in its breeze. With perfect counter balancing and compensation, the twists and turn of the Pelican performing evasive maneuvers didnt throw her around like a rag doll.

"We will be landing on the beach shortly. I will go with Luna and Desiree, knock out the coastal gun battery close to our LZ. Chao, you go on ahead with Elaine, assist Company C in taking the first Bunker. Don't be afriad to use Air Support to soften them up.

Alright. Ill bust their asses.

Snagging the designator from Raven's hands, Chao shoved it into her belt. The Pelican swooped in for the first DZ for herself and Eliane. Both Raven and Luna let off with their own attacks to cover the slowing Pelican. It wasnt going to stop, but slow down just enough that Chao and Eliane can run off the ramp. A loud bang reverberated throughout the compartment as Kaufman added to the covering firepower with the giant gun she was petting. The bullets tore through multiple enemies and caught others in its explosions

Alright! Let's go bust some asses!

With a short run up, Chao leapt off the end of the ramp, landed on the ground and ran off the forward momentum she had from the moving Pelican and Chao was back in her element. Fire and steel whizzed all around the air and over all this din, she still heard Kaufman's cannon blasting away as well as see the devastating covering fire from Raven and Luna.

C COMPANY! MOVE IT! MOVE YOUR ASSES! I WANT THAT BUNKER GONE!

Hoo AH!

Alright Ultima, Cleansing Touch and Heathen Flame. Time to earn your keepfh....

"Keep" was muffled as Chao had Ultima in her mouth and had already begun charging at the Heartless, C Company flanking both sides. She and Eliane would be the point that would wedge and bust open the defense.

OOC: You get us to the LZ Kev. Kaufman jumping off last.

Kaufman was ecstatic that her MP3 still worked. Plugging in her battle music playlist, Kaufman ejected the empty magazine, reloaded and rained lead down against the Heartless. The L-39 was working like a darling, its large caliber rounds shredding heavy armour alike and the recoil felt great. Only way to appreciate a large caliber gun is with the recoil. Kaufman was most at home on the battlefield, as the orchestra of steel and lead rang through her headset.

Raven! I'll cover you two as you disembark. Ill jump off last second and rejoin you guys after i give these guys some more cover.

OOC: Eh don't worry about it. I listen to a wide variety of music while writing my last post.

IC:

Elaine:
Elaine got into her fighting stance with her staff in hand as Heartless moved down and lobbing spells from far away, whereas several Soldier, Sergeant and Large Body Heartless held the front. While the soldiers moved up, with many a commander (including Chao) moving with them. Elaine charged up the hill, moving side to side to avoid incoming magic projectiles while striking at the close combatants. She swung her staff at a Soldier, crushing it's skull and making it disappear in a black smoke. Another Soldier jumped up into the air and tried to strike at her from behind. But Elaine used the butt of her staff and struck the soldier right in the Heart Emblem, knocking it back. Elaine quickly followed up with a downward jumping slam onto the heartless, the Soldier being knocked to the ground and it too dissipated.

"COME ON, LET'S GO, WE NEED SOME COVER FIRE!!!" Elaine yelled at the soldiers as they continued firing at the Heartless on the beach, using their assault rifles to pelt at the Blue Rasphodies that continued to strike at the soldiers with blizzard spells. They were being pushed back, most likely to the first bunker.

Raven & Luna

As the Pelican took off, Raven and Luna now had to fly out down to the gun battery. With the DMR in hand, Raven looked out as Elaine and Chao begun the fight. "I wonder how defended the gun batteries are?"

"Well, we'll see when we arrive. But all that matters is that by the end of the day. We will take back the islands."

"Yeah, yeah..."

As the Pelican came closer to the gun battery, it came under attack, not from various spells, but from...

"Gunfire?" Luna said, hearing the sound of machine guns being fired.

Raven! I'll cover you two as you disembark. Ill jump off last second and rejoin you guys after i give these guys some more cover.

"Alright Desiree, happy hunting. Luna let's go." The Pelican started to make it's descent and Raven started firing his DMR at the enemy gunners. As Raven and presumably Desiree laying down suppressive fire, Luna disembarked from the Pelican, along with some more soldiers from the Realm of Light Infantry troops, as soon as the enemy was pinned down, Raven disembarked, leaving Desiree to provide cover from the Pelican.

The soldiers began to take cover while keeping the Heartless Gunners suppressed. "Luna, let's flank em." Luna nodded in agreement and the two began to move around the firefight, moving to eliminate the enemy as quickly as possible.

----

OOC: Long overdue. Is the first bunker facing an open field or land with no cover?

Chao

Ha! Come at me, you peons!

Like a true Eastern Cloud warrior, Chao went straight ahead through the thick of it. In a sense, she was a berserking shock trooper, as is any soldier that was under her army in the Eastern Cloud Force. Chao danced through the bunched up Soldier Heartless, their close proximity to each other made it relatively easy to dice one after another without deviating from her straight run much. In fact, Chao's intended goal was to chew down the numbers with the selected shock troopers she had chosen from C company. The rest would probably spread out after Eliane or come up from behind and clean up the stragglers that are left.

Corporal! What is the situation at the first bunker? What intel do we have?

Limited ma'am. All we know is that they're dug in deep and hard and wont let go unless we completely squish em. Other than that, we'd have to find out when we have better visual contact!

That was troublesome. If they were as dug in as the Corporal had said, then continuing this course was suicidal. It'd be like charging up a beach with zero cover. They'd get picked off. Whatever the case, at the very least, Chao thought that calling in an air strike or an artillery bombardment around the area in front of the bunker would create some foxholes for the troops to dive in.

Corporal! Get on the radio, request a bombardment and get in contact with Eliane. Warn her and the other squads of potential bombardment in that sector.

Roger. HQ. C Company calling HQ. Requesting Air strike or artillery bombardment in XX XX coordinates. Eliane (do we have ranks?) and all squads, clear sector WW WW to YY YY for bombardment!

Kaufman

The L-39 was brilliant. From her aerial advantage, watching the shells land and take out groups of Heartless. However, like all fun things, when the bullet runs out, you gotta ditch. The pilots were sport enough to hang around and do strafing runs with her, but from all the Tinking noise, Kaufman knew that soon, it wouldn't just be small arms fire that'd be aiming at them. Dropping the Lahti and grabbing the Grenade launcher, Kaufman called for the pilots to drop down.

Hey, boys. Im done. Do another low running drop then bug out. Wish me luck.

Aw right! Lets go!

The Pelican shuddered as it performed a tight turn, taking a different path than their strafing run. That way, their path wouldn't be zeroed in already. The pilots skimmed low to the ground, away from Raven and Luna, before it punched its engines and shot straight away from the field.

Alright girls and boys. I'm back. What did i miss?

It a personal rhetoric question, but she could guess where she needed to go. The loud whumping of the 88 was a big enough sign. Without a second of respite, Kaufman planted her right feet behind her as if she was doing lunges and let loose with the grenades. She had to brace herself for recoil. After all, the gun was meant to be mounted. She saturated the area towards in her path to the gun with the entire belt of grenades, which, incidentally, freed a small platoon of Real of Light soldiers.

Wow, you just saved our asses there. Thank's a lot!

Ahem. Of course. Let's just haul ass towards that 88. Its pounding the hell out of our forces. You guys move forward. Ill cover fire with the nades.

Yes Ma'am. 3rd platoon! Move out!

As her new pawns moved up, Kaufman went slow with the grenades. They did have a fair bit of distance till the gun and she'd have to pace herself in order to last till then.

OOC:

First Question: First bunker is on an open area close to the beach, but is guarded with heartless infantry and magic users, rather than the shock trooper types used in Part One, however they're tightly dug-in and would be hard to crack without some form of airstrike. The gun battery is on a cliff, they are guarded by actual humans serving the Heartless Empire, but there are too few in number and can be destroyed through conventional means (i.e. Raven using his Keyblade-esque Spartan Laser to burn a hole through the battery).

Second Question: While I don't have an official rank for Tsuki or Laleth, (or bother to do so since Tsuki wasn't officially a part of TF 108 when we joined) here is the ranks for Raven and his comrades (since Part 1):

Raven Otsdava: Captain
Luna Thermidor: Second Lieutenant
Elaine Chevalier: Gunnery Sergeant

Note that these ranks will be set to change over the course of Part 2 now that the most active phase of the war for the Union of the Realm of Light has begun, also note that these rankings are based on the ranking system of the United States Marine Corps, of which TF108 and the other Task Force Units belong to.

IC:
Elaine Chevalier

As Elaine stopped to see the troops move up the beach, one such trooper walked up to the red-head. "We've recieved a communique from Fuu Chao Rin, our forces are to withdraw from the immediate area for allied airstrike."

"Understood, all troops fall back a safe distance." Elaine said before taking the communicator from the soldier. As the troops in her platoon followed her orders, as they were moving up to another side of the beach, the Heartless, mainly their magic users began attacking them, striking them down as they were falling back. "Dammit!" Elaine said as she went up to take them out. Using her staff as a balance, she jumped up high into the air and launched a few swinging and sweeping kicks to swat a few of them down. Hopefully the troops would link up and they'll be ready to launch their airstrike as soon as she gets out of the vicinity.

----
Raven and Luna:

As the enemy forces were pulling back up to the cliff, Raven and Luna with Desiree and the troops in tow and heading in the direction of the retreating forces. Raven was not one to abandon chase after they were close to an objective. Luna looked up to see the gun battery. Despite being on the surface, the gun was still seen even on the top of the cliff face. The weapon looked alien in origin, yet it's capabilities are clear. Although it fires 88-mm rounds, it could fire with high speed and velocity and is capable of bringing down high tonnage capital gummi ships.

"All right. We'll need to get up close so it can be destroyed."

Luna added, speaking to Raven, "I think I've seen some of these in reports. Heartless Railcannons all have a cooling unit inside, destroy the cooling unit and it should destroy the gun. The blast radius should destroy the Flak Guns surrounding it as well."

"You got that Desiree? Looks like we'll have to make it up the cliff." Putting the gun around his shoulder, Raven summoned his Keyblade, and darted after a group of Heartless and Dark Humans preparing a defensive position at the curb of the cliff. Meanwhile, Luna began to use her Blizzard Magic to keep their magic users at bay.

First Lieutenant William Crowe
Realm of Light Naval Aviation Arm VF-5 (Fighter Squadron 5)
Tiger II-class Light Tactical Fighter

A squad of 4 Tiger II-class Gummi Ships were engaging enemy Gummi Ships, mainly Banshee's and Phantom's of the Heartless Horde's military air arm, when a message was heard on the radio.

"This is Private Baelz of Company C, we request Close Air Support over by the first bunker."

"Roger that, we're heading in your direction."

The Tiger II rolled to the left and headed in direction to the beach. Checking his IFF (Identification Friend or Foe) Crowe saw the troops labeled as Company C as well as the enemy troops and bunker on screen. Switching the setting on his stick to Guns, the Bomb sight lit up as the Tiger II lifted up into a steep climb. Once he got within altitude, Crowe rolled the gummi ship in a 180, so that the cockpit was not looking down in to the ground. He then pulled the stick and dove down to earth, in a classic dive-bomber aspect. Keeping the bomb sight over the foot of the fortress, and thus the bulk of the heartless, Crowe peppered the ground with his twin 20-mm Cannon rounds, destroying some of the Heartless on the ground. Then quickly setting over to Bombs. The Tiger II dropped a 500-lb Unguided Bomb at the base of the fortress. The resulting explosion devastated the enemy outside the fortress as well as opened it up for capture if necessary.

Laleth sat on the cold floor of the ship. Her temper had gotten the best of her yet again. She was left there with him, and what's more she had no idea what was go happen next. The young girl wasa bit frustrated. "Maybe they think I'm too young." she thought. "Maybe they think I can't handle helping them."

Her temper seemed like a power that wanted o burstthrough her chest. She stood up, her vengeful posture going unnoticed byher as she stomped her way through the halls of Normandy. She made her way past an armory, pausing before looking inside. She spotted a weapon. A type of gun she had never seen or used before, but Laleth took the machine gun as her own just in case she needed protection. She could hear an explosion in the distance.

At once the girl knew thatit would be war outside but she had a plan of her own. As she stormed out of the room she was determined to show the others thatshe had what it took to fight also. She walked pastthe room in which Tsuki had been resting, being ready to head out and destroy as many heartless as her own heart desired.
