[RP] Kingdom Hearts: Into The Dusk

Catching a glimpse of Laleth as she ran past him, Tsuki noticed she had a gun with her, this whole thing seemed strange. Though still weakened he followed her, holding the wall for support, he still had to figure out why his body had become weak yet assumptions wouldn't help right now.

Slowly Tsuki began to close the distance between them, although Laleth had more energy than him right now Tsuki could still cover more distance with his size. Still trying to maintain his standing against the wall as his strength threatened to fade at any moment he tried to call out to her "Hey girl, what's going on here? And why are you running around with something like that?"

The corporal put his hands to his ear, listening intently before relaying the message

Gunnery Sargent Chevalier has just cleared the boundary of the strike zone. Cougar Squadron are nearby

Snatching the head set, Chao barked order at the wing of A-10 Thunderbolt IIs

Cougar Squadron, bombard coordinates XX XX and YY YY.

Uh... ma'am, we are packing Hydra, but i think the BUFF we're escorting will be more than willing to oblige

Yup, give the boys the coord for the AAA and ill come up behind and clean out.

Alright! Pencala! Get your designators on those AAA and give the fly boys some numbers.

After 20 seconds ticked by, the fly boys gave confirmation of their targets by a full serenade of hydra rockets, shredding the sparse AAA and some of the lighter positions before climaxing with a full course of 500 pound Mk 82 unguided bombs. carpeting the area. The ground shook with reverberation from the explosives sending dust and debris sky high.

Alrighty ma'am. Hope you are happy with the service of Cougar Inc. Hope to do business with you again soon.

As the planes swerved off, Chao motioned for her troops to take advantage of the smoke to gain some ground and hopefully link up with Eliane's troops. To her satisfaction, large holes have been gouged out of the ground and her troops were bounding into these foxholes, leap frogging forward. Chao yanked at the receiver again, dragging the poor corporal head first on point with her.

Eliane! We're moving up under the cover of the dust. Plenty of foxholes, so lets haul ass while we can.

The shock wouldn't last long and any minute now, the heartless would start shooting again.

OOC: Even though Chao is a General of the Eastern Cloud Army, she is a Second Lieutenant, same rank as Luna right now.

Also, the Battery is atop a sloped cliff, there is a winding path that leads to the Railcannon, but it is surrounded by Flak 88's so I wouldn't advise flying unless you wanna be shot full of holes. Trust me, I lost a lot of planes just destroying Imperial Japanese Ships due to AA and Flak Fire.

Thanks to support from First Lieutenant Crowe and VF-5 "Cougers" The Heartless forces around the first bunker were mostly cleared out.

From the radio Elaine took from the radio officer, She heard Chao's voice on it.

Eliane! We're moving up under the cover of the dust. Plenty of foxholes, so lets haul ass while we can.

"Gotcha, let's finish this." Elaine said through the radio. She then motioned her hand to her troops "Now's our chance, MOVE!!!!"

Elaine and her soldiers moved through the dust cloud caused from the bombing raid caused from the Allied fighters, the Heartless were disoriented, and even the few Dark Humans that were inside were essentially pinned down, and open to a flanking maneuver. Going through the cloud of dust, Elaine struck at a pair of Heartless that were disoriented, knocking them down with a pair of side sweeping kicks. Her troops shot a few more down with 5.56-mm Rounds from their M16 Assault Rifles.

Finally, Elaine at a foxhole, close to the bunker's front. "Chao, meet me at the foxhole in front of the bunker, let's take it down together!"

(M) Capture or Destroy the 1st Bunker (Chao, Elaine):
Eliminate all Heartless and Capture or Destroy the Bunker close to the beach. Use Air Support and Force Recon when necessary to complete the objective.

(S) Destroy Enemy Coastal Gun Battery (Raven, Luna, Desiree):
Destroy the Enemy 88-mm Coastal Gun Battery. If this battery is destroyed, it would help to bring down some Armor to assist in the Landing Operation.

Fuu Chao Rin

A not-so-secret Rendevous

While Chao usually charged headlong and announced at her opponents, this was a different situation. The longer the heartless remained unknown as to what is happening, the more time the RoL forces have the element of surprise. The standing orders were to keep restrict noise discipline to the level of quick movements. No war cry or chatter. Radio carriers were the exception of course. Corporal Wegner once again, making his legs move as fast as possible, handed the receiver on his radio to Chao.

"Chao, meet me at the foxhole in front of the bunker, let's take it down together!"

Roger. On my way.

The smell of high explosives and dust pumped the blood flowing in Chao's vein. Assaults were more her style, unlike their previous defense battle on (Forgot name) Island. That ended in relatively disastrous circumstances, but this is time will be different. Eliane's foxhole grew larger and along with Corporal Wegner, she slid into the ditch for cover.

Alright. We gonna just charge and drop into their trenches and buckers and take te fight to them or try and find paths at their flank?

Desiree Kaufman

Climbing the hill, one grenade at a time

Following Raven's lead, Kaufman's group was assimilated under Raven's command. She was just a hired hand, so technically, her rank would probably be at most the equivalent of maybe a corporal, probably less. Luna began blasting away at heartless with her magic, trying to force their head down for the troop's advancement. Unfortunately, Kaufman herself lacked any special abilities like that. What she did have going for her is technology in the form of a chain of 40mm grenades.

Hey, third squad. You stick with me. Cover my advance and make sure you keep the heads down of those i missed.

Wah? I mean.... ok. yes ma'am!

The corporal looked lost, not quite able to recognise the woman that just ordered him to stay by her, but he could only imagine she was someone with command power. After all, the woman wore personalised clothing as well as weaponry. It was best not to argue with authority. Under Luna's magic fire, Kaufman led the small squad over to the defensive position that Raven busted and the squad cleared out any remaining resistance. Kaufman herself braced against the sand bag in preparation to fire and let those behind her leapfrog to the next defensive position. The grenade launcher was angled into teh air and a trio of explosives belched out of the barrel in a deadly graceful arc before plummeting and raining fire on the heartless below.

Provide suppressing fire! Hurry up and leapfrog to the next position and take it!

The remainin soldiers began to move out after Raven and out towards the position that Kaufman and her squad had laid a steady chain of lead against, taking the hill one position at a time.

Stopping in her tracks only to spot Tsuki behind her Laleth rolled her eyes. "I DO have a NAME yaknow." the little girl spoke with attitude. "Just because I'm younger doesn't mean I have to be treated like some clueless little girl."

Laleth spoke holding up the gun. She had seen people using them in the armory before. How hard could it be to test one out? She turned to try and find a way to go after Raven and the rest of the team that had left. "I'm going to go help the others instead of just sitting here doing nothing."

She began running down the ship's hall before something stopped her. Tsuki looked pretty weak and the girl did possess skills to bandage and heal with common items like herbs. He wouldn't be so effective of a soldier if he fought in that state. She walked back to him placing the gun to his chest. "You're coming with! I need to supervise just in case you get a bit lazy on the job." she spoke, pleased with her excuse to have someone come along with her.

"Now let's go."
 
Raven Otsdarva and Luna Thermidor
-Big F^$#*@g Laser

Raven and Luna advanced up the hill to see the gun battery structure, the railgun in view. However, the two Keyblade wielders were under fire from Gun-toting Heartless and Dark Humans.

"Raven!!!" Luna yelled out, and the Hero of Unity Islands responded in an annoyed tone. "I know, I know."

Using the underslung Grenade Launcher of his DMR, Raven fired off a 40-mm Shell right on top of a cluster of soldiers, destroying and dispersing Heartless soldiers as the Realm of Light soldiers began using suppressive fire to keep them back to their Flak 88's.

"At this rate, we'll never be able to reach that gun." Luna said, as she advanced to the next position.

"Don't you worry about that, I only need to get in close." Raven put the DMR around his shoulder as he held his Keyblade in another hand. His Keyblade glowed as it slowly began to transform. "Get in close for what?" Luna said, annoyed at the overall calm Raven was feeling right now.

Raven's Keyblade transformed into the Laser Cannon he used back in Deep Space. Taking an aim at the enemy Flak 88 in the way, he began the charging sequence. Unfortunately several Dark Humans took noticed of the Red Targeting Beam of Death, and began charging down through the withering gunfire to strike at Raven with their random melee weapons.

"I got it!" Luna said as she moved up the hill and ran towards the enemy, her keyblade in hand. Shiva, who watched the battle from her mind said, "Stay sharp, I'll watch your back"

One of the Dark Humans, wielding a straight longsword, swung his blade at Luna, which she countered with a fluid dodge to the right and a swing at the mans right leg, smashing through bone and leaving him wounded on the ground.

"Behind you!" Luna turned around to see a Spear Wielding Dark Human lunge at her. Once again, she quickly sidestepped to the right , leading him to stab his own comrade, firing a Blizzard spell at the spear wielder, the attack struck at the man's neck, knocking him down.

Finally the beam was at full charge, and Raven pressed the trigger. The red beam fired off at supersonic speeds, without sacrificing any power. It punched a hole through a Flak 88, which simaltaneously exploded, and kept going through into the outer wall of the Gun Battery. The Material proved strong, and when the charge gave out, it left a hole in the wall.

"Desiree, take the shot, destroy the power source, that'll bring that gun crashing down on their heads." Raven said as he transformed his Keyblade back to normal and headed up to support Luna.

Elaine Chevalier
-Storming the Fortress

Alright. We gonna just charge and drop into their trenches and bunkers and take the fight to them or try and find paths at their flank?

Elaine had to make the split second decision. "We'll charge them, we need to get into that bunker." It was a simple move, but if they can make their way inside, they can then fight their way through bunker and capture it.

"Alright, let's go!" Elaine moved forward, it wasn't far to the target, and with the Heartless starting to come together for a defense of the first fortress, there wasn't much time left. "Keep up the pressure, use your grenades if you have to." The troops complied and began switching to their underslung Grenade Launchers and other explosive weapons. As they charged up towards the bunker, the realm of Light soldiers began a liberal use of their 40-mm Grenade Shells. Some of the Grenades struck the Machine Gun Nests within the base, killing the gunners and damaging their guns a bit.

Elaine however, kept her focus on the ground, 2 Large Bodies appeared in front of her guarding the entry into the bunker. One of them using its fist to punch her in the side. The monk recovered and landed on her feet, caught by surprise by the recent attack on her. "I don't have time for this!!!" Elaine yelled as she ran towards the Large bodies guarding the entrance. One of the Large Bodies went in after her, running at full speed to strike her down with the force of a Truck, but before the Large Body could connect, Elaine jumped, using her forward momentum to launch a dropkick to the heartless' face, knocking it backwards. The Large Body's momentum was now working against it as it was now rolling down the hill whacking trees along the way like a pinball machine.

"Chao, take out that other Large Body, we're going in and cleaning house!"

"I'm hardly in any condition to be anything but lazy, in case you hadn't noticed I could collapse at any moment, pulling a gun on me won't get me moving any quicker" Tsuki tried to stand without the support of the wall, collapsing quickly to his knees, barely saving himself from a full impact fall.

"As you can see, right now there's hardly any chance I can protect you out there and ultimately i'd be nothing but a burden so unless you have some bright ideas of getting my energy back we'd be better off staying put, so put the heroism on ice before it gets you killed"

Tsuki, half hopelessly started trying to pull himself back up to his feet, using the wall as support again, when he finally managed this he turned to Laleth "so just give me the gun and sit tight for now, unless something gets inside here don't get in combat with anything, it's not worth your life, alright?"

Kill shot

"Desiree, take the shot, destroy the power source, that'll bring that gun crashing down on their heads."

Aye aye cap'n

While her companions went in sweeping with their magical blades, Kaufman went in the more conventional way, under proper cover fire and leap frogging up the hill. Raven's blade's transformation further surprised Kaufman as it turned into some form of high powered laser weaponry, turning the Acht Acht into twisted metal before promptly creating a doorway on the wall of the gun battery. With both Raven and Luna preoccupied with ground infantry swarming towards them, Kaufman hefted the last of her grenade belt and with practised precision, angled the baby towards the battery and went fully automatic on it. 32 grenades flew in the general direction of the hole Raven had so kindly made, with 12 splashing around the outside and the rest scorinig neatly into the hole. With a satisfying, reverberating WTHUMP, the chain reaction that went off sent a sturdy shockwave through the air. Pausing for a second to admire her handywork, Kaufman casually tossed the piece of equipment onto the ground and replaced it with Arc.

Well, i'd say that went pretty well boys. Move up towards Raven and Luna. Now! On the double!

The tide was turning, with their battery destroyed. The defenders were beginning to go into disarray and now was the perfect chance and within a few short minutes, Kaufman had reached near her comrades, her soldiers quickly finishing off the remaining resistance that were still alive and between her and her friends.

"We'll charge them, we need to get into that bunker."

Right. On your mark then.
"Alright, let's go!"

On Eliane's word, the entire RoL force surged forward towards the enemy trenchs and the fortress. Their window was relatively small as the shock from the bombardment should be wearing off by now. If they were caught out in the open when the enemy resumed defense, their men would be shredded. Grenades flew in every direction, however, striking MG nests and into slit trenches, taking out some defenders as they advanced. However, to make matters worse, two large bodies appeared in between them and the entrance

"Chao, take out that other Large Body, we're going in and cleaning house!"

Alright. COME GET SOME!

With a forward dash, Chao got way in front of the normal infantry and swept Rising Phoenix right into the gut of the Large Body. It bounced backwards towards the left, clearing the path, but with its body, that was probably more a push than anything. At the very least, Chao could preoccupy it so that her boys could advance past. Tensing the muscles in her leg, Chao shot herself straight into the air and went for a stab at it's head, her entire weight and force pushing down on her pole arm

The little girl's eye's rolled. This man seemed weak, an image severely damaging her reputation seeing as he had beat her in combat. Laleth understood his injuries but did not feel easy with Tsuki's open display of weakness.

Laleth raged at this statement. She felt the same anger with this man as she did at the end of their fight. PROTECTING?! Just like she was some sort of useless little girl! Her suspicions were right and Laleth didn't like it one bit. She hated being treated as if she were weak, as if she were just some child in need of protecting. Seeing Tsuki holding the wall for support the little girl rolled her eyes. "If anything it looks like you're the one who needs more protecting right now." she remarked turning away from him.

"so just give me the gun and sit tight for now, unless something gets inside here don't get in combat with anything, it's not worth your life, alright?"

"Thanks but no thanks." Laleth replied. "I am not some sitting duck. I have a goal to atend to."

The girl's mind flashed to the recent year that had flown by. From her having to leave her hometown to the adventures she'd had, all the way to joining Raven's team. There was no room to turn back in her heart. Even on the last planet they had visited she had come close. "I am Laleth Aires and am of royal blood. I have something to fight for, something precious to me. It is in my family's nature to want to support fellow man on the battlefeild." Laleth deepened her tone and straightened up her posture in order to sound more grown up. "I am risking everything I stand for and my future by just standing by doing nothing!"

Walking over to Tsuki and placing the weapon into his hands Laleth grabbed the man by the collar, looking into his eyes. "Don't be decieved I am a true warrior. Waiting it out doesn't cut it for me, injured or not."

At this she began to pull the man towards her direction, walking towards the ship's elevator to the hangars. The man clearly wanted for the two of them to stay behind but Laleth didn't know the reason why she wanted him to accompany her. Maybe it was because he was damaging her pride by acting weak, maybe it was because he was one of the few who now knew of her royal heritage, but for whatever reason, it was clear that Laleth wanted the man she considered a rival to join her.
 
Hearing everything Laleth had to say, he didn't get any imput before he got forcibly dragged along, barely being able to stay on his feet "great, i'm partnered up with a girl who drags weakened soldiers to their deathbeds"

Tsuki tried with considerable effort to hold his ground for a second to speak "Look girl- Laleth, however you want to look at it or whatever kind of inflated pride you have one person doesn't make any difference on the battlefield, much less someone of less experience. Take it from a guy who tried the hero act and got his world destroyed in the process, we're not superheroes we're just weak little humans or whatever who just got lucky in being chosen and some of us can't even hold on to that. I can't even use the Keyblade anymore and even if I did i'm not about to let arrogance cost other people their lives"

Tsuki, feeling some level of feeling in his legs return, started to stretch them out and stand upright "No matter how much we may want to save everyone it's simply impossible without realising our limits, you can be as high class as a king or as lowly as a farmer, everyone has a breaking point. And besides, do you really think that you're going to save your future by running headfirst into battles like this? You can't protect anything if you're dead"

Interrupting his 'speech' Tsuki spotted a heartless in the distance, a Shadow, presumably a scout. Before it could get away Tsuki lifted the gun to shoot it, taking most of the rounds in the gun to hit it, much less bring it down. While his legs were recovering, his arms still lacked strength.

"You see? Right now we're barely above powerlessness, if the rest thought we could help he would've taken us with him, why not have a little more faith and trust in your friends? You're not the only one who matters here and i'm not about to see anyone else die while I can prevent it"

Reinforcements from the Sky

The Railgun's destruction provided the Heartless forces to either scatter and flee or surrender to the Realm of Light troops. The railgun was one of the last in the beachheads to be destroyed, and with that he beaches around the main island was clear enough to bring down much needed armor to the ground.

A Realm of Light Frigate, the RLNS Wonderland, began making its descent into the atmosphere, having fought its way through Heartless Fighters getting down there.

"This is the Wonderland, we've noticed you taken out the enemy Batteries." The captain of the Wonderland said to the transmitter, transmitting the info to all four Task Forces. "Our ships will be sending you something special for you guys, hold tight."

The force of the ships coming down above was great, winds were gusting to hurricane speeds, and many of them took cover in the trenches, the 88's and pieces of the railgun flew off deep into the jungle of the island as the Wonderland began to hover by the side of the cliff.

Both Raven and Luna quickly ran down the cliff to meet with the Wonderland, which began unloading 4 Main Battle Tanks.

"Ah, the Scorpion, the titular 'engine of destruction.'" Luna said nonchalantly as the tank slowly drove away. Another platform however revealed a fifth vehicle.

"Well that's something I haven't seen before." One of the soldiers said, "I guess it must be for you, huh Captain?"

Raven walked over to this new Vehicle. The vehicle had twin 20-mm Gatling Guns and pods to launch 4 Missiles in succession.

"Must be a new model..." Raven thought to himself as he signaled Desiree over to drive the vehicle.

Elaine Chevalier
Easiest Capture Mission Ever

With the Large Body gone, several troops began entering the fortress walls and started engaging the enemy in close combat. Elaine followed the soldiers inside as they began clearing the fortress out. It wasn't much effort as these soldiers were trained to deal with this mission.

It didn't take much effort and all of 5 minutes before the Heartless Imperial Cross was taken down and replaced with the Blue and White Flag of the Realm of Light. As the soldiers cheered for their success Elaine knew there was still more to do. "No time to Celebrate, onto the next Bunker." Elaine said as she began to head out of the bunker.

"Apparently the Bunker isn't as highly defended on the inside than on the outside." Elaine said to Chao as several Pelicans dropped Warthogs right nearby. "Guess that'll make the next part of the mission a bit easier."

Objectives:
(M) Capture the 2nd Bunker and Destroy the Enemy SAM Installation (Chao, Elaine):
The Heartless have a SAM Emplacement built next to a bunker located down the jungle path. Destroying the SAM will allow air strikes from fighter jets. Use the Warthogs and their 12.7-mm Turret Guns to reduce enemy firepower however possible.

(S) Destroy Enemy Radar Tower (Raven, Luna, Desiree):
The enemy's Radar Tower allows the Heartless to coordinate their defensive across the entire world. Using your newly acquired Panther Close Assault Vehicle and Scorpion MBT's, smash your way to the Radar Tower and destroy it, blinding the enemy and reducing their combat effectiveness.
 
Desiree Kaufman

Why are there six pedals if there are only four directions?

Admiring her handywork, Kaufman only managed to catch Raven's signal for her from the corner of her eyes. The rest of the troops that she was with had begun to fan further out to secure the area that they were in in order to create a more secure LZ. No longer requiring the troops anymore, Kaufman left them and approached Raven and Luna.... and some very big toys. Four large armoured tanks roared past with their powerful engines. Kaufman stared in awe and jealousy of the driver. She had always had a penchant for big toys, like these tanks. With a resignated sigh, Kaufman pulled herself over to Raven.

Aw man.... those look awesome to drive..... hm... wait.

As she moved next to her comrades, a rather modified variant of the tank sat there, empty. Kaufman's eyes sparked as if diamonds. Raven and Luna seemed to have no intention of hopping into the cockpit, so feeling a bit confident, Kaufman leaped onto the treads and marveled at it.

Oh wow! Shotgun! look at this monster....

Eagerly, Kaufman dropped herself into the seat. If she thought about it, she herself lacked the proper firepower just by herself. Unlike her companions who had swords that could transform into laser launchers, Kaufman felt a bit inadequete without proper equipment. Ignoring the slight inferiority complex for now, she tested the turrent movement plus target aquisition before moving to the pedals. One look and she knew that she would ahve to adapt fast. Her own plane was complex and this thing was equally so. Lots of the panels and switches were labelled, so all she had to do was test driving.

Alrighty.... lets give this a go....

Depressing one pedal, the tanks shuddered to life and pivoted to the left. Stepping on another, it lurched forward. For about a minute, Kaufman looked like a learner's driver on their first drive, but after that, it was smooth sailing and the tank was moving more or less normally.

Wow... thats a lotta pedals for only four directions.... Can i drive this, Honey? I'll make it worth your while....

Kaufman gave Raven a sly, cheeky grin in her usual cock tease fashion. She just hoped that he really does let her drive it. It looked too fuin to miss out.

Lead Blanket

It took her literally seconds to demolish the Large Body. The terrain was perfect for it and within a few attacks and environment dangers, the Large Body laid buried under a pile of debris. Troops stormed past now that the entrance was clear of enemies that could still offer a resistance. With their entry into the bunker, it was as good as ours. The Realm of Light flag that flew at the top was a clear sign of their possession. Another sign was that their Pelicans were coming in unmolested by enemy fire, safely dropping its cargo of Warthogs. All of these vehicles had lead spitters mounted on the back.

"Apparently the Bunker isn't as highly defended on the inside than on the outside. Guess that'll make the next part of the mission a bit easier."​

Lets hope so. On one hand, we have support vehicles, but im sure they have dug in hard. We can't affor to be careless. Let's move out.

Hopping onto the rear chain gun of one of the Hogs, Chao signalled any available troops to mount up. The more of these they got into action, the more firepower they had. When Eliane mounted up, they were off for their next push. Shock tactics should work. If the R.o.L soldiers pushed them when they havent recovered from losing their first bunker, they could catch the Heartless panicking and their plans in disarray

Raven looked at Desiree and her cheeky grin, and he just laughed, "Heh, go knock yourself out, but stay by me. I don't want you to get caught up by any enemy armor along the way."

As for Raven and Luna, they both entered the same tank, Raven taking the driver's seat while Luna took the front gunner position. As soon as the troops filled in all the positions, the tanks began moving, with Raven's tank taking the front position. Those vehicles slowly began moving in a column back up the cliff face, but instead of turning around where the remains of the railcannon battery was held, they would instead be moving in the opposite directions, towards the main island's interior. The Radar Tower would not too far ahead.

Lets hope so. On one hand, we have support vehicles, but im sure they have dug in hard. We can't affor to be careless. Let's move out.

"All right, let's go." Elaine said as she mounted the driver's seat of the Warthog. After they were all loaded up, the Warthogs sped down the path to the next bunker.

On the way there, the main force encountered a few Light Armored Units, a couple Jeeps and Fast Attack Vehicles. "Chao, shoot em up!" She said as Elaine gunned the Warthog, in an attempt to break the blockade with several of the other Warthog's moving to keep up with Elaine.

Objectives:
(M) Capture the 2nd Bunker and Destroy the Enemy SAM Installation (Chao, Elaine):
The Heartless have a SAM Emplacement built next to a bunker located down the jungle path. Destroying the SAM will allow air strikes from fighter jets. Use the Warthogs and their 12.7-mm Turret Guns to reduce enemy firepower however possible.

(S) Destroy Enemy Radar Tower (Raven, Luna, Desiree):
The enemy's Radar Tower allows the Heartless to coordinate their defensive across the entire world. Using your newly acquired Panther Close Assault Vehicle and Scorpion MBT's, smash your way to the Radar Tower and destroy it, blinding the enemy and reducing their combat effectiveness.

Laleth scoffed at the remark but continued on her way to the ship's hangar which she had found using the helpful signs posted around the ship, signs she had overlooked before."Look girl- Laleth, however you want to look at it or whatever kind of inflated pride you have one person doesn't make any difference on the battlefield, much less someone of less experience. Take it from a guy who tried the hero act and got his world destroyed in the process, we're not superheroes we're just weak little humans or whatever who just got lucky in being chosen and some of us can't even hold on to that. I can't even use the Keyblade anymore and even if I did i'm not about to let arrogance cost other people their lives"

Laleth did nothing but yawn at this. Arguing was something she found extremely boring, and it seemed that no matter how much she tried to persuade him, it looked as if this man wasn't giving up either. Her only possible option was to ignore him which is exactly what she did, only bothering to pickup on key words he used. This man was missing her point of going out altogether. "No matter how much we may want to save everyone it's simply impossible without realising our limits, you can be as high class as a king or as lowly as a farmer, everyone has a breaking point. And besides, do you really think that you're going to save your future by running headfirst into battles like this? You can't protect anything if you're dead"

Laleth chuckled, she could take some of the heaviest hits and withstand many wounds a full grown man could not. "Don't be such a coward." she mumbled, entering the hangar.

But in an instant she heard gunfire and before she knew it Tsuki had felled a heartless.

"You see? Right now we're barely above powerlessness, if the rest thought we could help he would've taken us with him, why not have a little more faith and trust in your friends? You're not the only one who matters here and i'm not about to see anyone else die while I can prevent it"

Laleth stopped in a brief anger. How dare he suggest that SHE was powerless! She paused at this and then thought before speaking herself. "Well you better hurry up or I'll die." Laleth chuckled before widening her eyes as she began to run through the hangar, abandoning Tsuki. "You wont let anyone die right? Well you should hurry up before I get killed by the Heartless then!"

The girl couldn't help but smile at her own stroke of brilliance. She figured if Tsuki really cared he'd follow her regardless of reasoning. Laleth was now a good distance now, staring back at Tsuki from a good distance away from behind a small vehicle. Before she could survey the man however she heard a noise and a glimpse of black smoke out of the corner of her eye before being knocked off her feet sideways by a heartless.

She hit the ground hard, but got back up, merely flicking her wrist to summon her keyblade. In a flash the Heartless had gone down easily and Laleth was sure they would be able to rest again. However her victory had led her to question how Heartless could have ended up on the Normandy in the first place! She looked upwards to spot shadows from above, moving eerily, watching her as if she were pray. "How did they get in here? Are they taking over?" Laleth spoke in a brief panic before regaining her composure.

It looked as if the large ship had become infiltrated by the enemy. Laleth griped her Keyblade tightly in one hand, her black parasol in the other hand would act like a cane. A rustle could be heard from nearby and at once a hoard of ten Heartless came rushing at her. The girl swung her key forward viciously, dispatching the two leads and quickly dived below to finished three more with swift jabs. It seemed as though these Heartless were of the weaker kind. With a last rush towards the group Laleth had finished them. "Tsuki!" Laleth breathed.

With his will and condition he'd surely not be able to fight these creatures if they were to gang up on him. "Tsuki!" Laleth cried as she ran over towards him, waving her hands in alarm.

It was this instant where the floor beneath her feet had burst upward and the girl found herself being thrown forward into the air as a Heartless three times the size of a regular man had emerged. Laleth tried twisting her body around but had just enough time to land on her bottom before rolling towards Tsuki. She got up immediately feeling a slight ache. "They're here! In the ship!" Laleth said gripping her keyblade, her energy giving off a purplish glow on the webbed key.

She turned toward the monster looking up at it. She couldn't wait to see what plan of peace Tsuki could conjure up in this moment. "Still don't feel like fighting?" she asked.
 
"Well you better hurry up or I'll die."

Tsuki momentarily sighed as Laleth ran off on her own

"You wont let anyone die right? Well you should hurry up before I get killed by the Heartless then!"

"Oh just great, this girl is going to be the death of me..." limping after her his ability to keep up was almost non existant. Watching her fight as he tried to catch up she eventually too care of them all, however he knew where there were minions, the leader couldn't be far behind.

Almost on cue the leader appeared, throwing Laleth up into the air.

"They're here! In the ship!"

"I can see that, for now we're going to need to make room"

"Still don't feel like fighting?"

"If by fighting you mean dying then yes" At that Tsuki took her left hand and ran to te left, narrowly avoiding an attack by the heartless. He couldn't describe it but he felt revitalised while their hands connected. As it charged them again Tsuki tried o shield the blow with his hands as Oblivion emerged, blocking the blow and sending the heartless back.

"Happy now?"
 
Desiree Kaufman

Death on Wheels

Sure enough after running over a few rocks and bumping into some walls, Desiree tamed the metal beast and the column was off. It was interesting that her Tank was different from the rest. It lacked the large caliber gun, but packed missiles and a plethora of heavy machine guns and chain weapons. Raven took point and she herself was sandwiched in the middle of the convoy. Obviously, Desiree's ride wasn't going to be the "drive into the middle and start blasting" type of tank, but more the, "stay back and lob fire on their heads" type. It was fine either way but it seemed a bit more.... fun to be in the midst of it all.

Well.... let's prep up my toys then.....

Keeping her fingers off all triggers, Desiree spooled her chain guns, test moved the MG's and swung the turret where the missiles were mounted on in a circle. All the motions were smooth and sensitive. Very easy to aim and maneuver, which was good. It was an easy vehicle to control once the trick and rythme of it is figured out.

So, we weapons free the moment we are in range of the Radar Site Raven?

"Chao, shoot em up!

Right on it!

There was no need to say another word. The light vehicles that came to meet them was no match for the tri - barrelled 12.7 mm chain guns mounted on each of the warthogs. With only a slight second lull, all of a sudden, the air filled with the hum of numerous chain guns spewing forth thousands of hot lead at the enemies. Jeeps were chewed to pieces and with coordinated concentrated fire with the other vehicles, none of their light attack vehicles or armoured vehicles stood a chance.

Warthog 3, 4. Traverse right 6 degrees and open fire on the LAV, then the Jeep and the other LAV's incoming. 1, 2, 5, zone in on one target together and take them out one by one!

It was a massace. The Heartless response was little more than buying precious seconds rather than offer any real resistance to the party's advance. The pack of Warthog made extremely good time, hardly slowing from the attack and it wasn't going to be long till the second enemy bunker and the surrounding SAM sites would be in view.

"If by fighting you mean dying then yes"

At this he grabbed Laleth's hand and pulled her along. She felt a hint of embarrassment from running but didn't mind it. At an instant she could feel his strength returning as he practically pulled her along. Letting go of Tsuki's hand as the Heartless attacked Laleth spun to see the beast charging at them. Surprise had come to her as Tsuki managed to actually knock back the heartless by force.

"Happy now?"

"Delighted." she replied as she charged for the Heartless now, lowering her keyblade to perform an upwards slash at the dark beast.

She had come within inches of the large heartless before jumping, swinging her keyblade up and landing a viscous blow to the creature who seemed vulnerable in it's no weakened state.

Eyes and Ears

"Exactly. Save your ammo for our assault on the Radar Tower, we should be coming in range soon." Raven said as looked down on the screen. Luna meanwhile snickered to herself as she heard Raven say that so calmly.

"What's so funny, Luna?"

"Oh, nothing...just a joke I remembered." Luna said calmly herself, she was actually laughing about how much Raven had changed in the past month. Raven however dismissed it to focus on the mission.

It didn't take long for the tank battalion of Company C to find the enemy Radar Tower, and a Tent, and a bunch of Heartless. However with the lack of any vehicles of any sort on their part, taking them down was going to be easy as pie.

The Heartless began charging, foolishly towards the enemy tanks as their gunners began firing their 7.62-mm guns, both coaxial and turreted to mowed them down. Apparently, they lacked anti-armor weapons in this part of the area.

"Talk about overkill..." Raven said as he aimed the turret towards the tent, firing a 120-mm Smoothbore Cannon Shell at its target. The Tent exploded into flames as the shell connected with it's target.

The Second Bunker

Punching through the blockade, and destroying every Heartless and Imperial soldier in the way, and with Chao firing, their light armor was all but wiped out. It was only another minute ahead before they came up to the nearby SAM Battery. The Warthog's following suit began the process of gunning down the SAM operators and radar technicians as well as various guard vehicles.

Desiree Kaufman

Gouge their eyes, clap them in the ears

Of course, there was resistance. Pathetic, but resistance nonetheless. Kaufman had to give it to the heartless army to be so willing to fling their corpses at tanks mounting large 120mm cannons and bristling with machine guns. Perhaps they were hoping that some body parts may miraculously fly and clog up their barrels or some bone shrapnel hit a gunner in the head? No time for pity, however. Kaufman herself spooled her large 20mm chain guns, taking aim at more priority targets and conserving ammunition. There was bound to be better targets closer to the Radar site.

Uh oh.... trouble....

A formation of Cannon Gun heartless floated from a small alcove, hovering afar in hope to bombard the convoy with explosives. Of course Kaufman doesnt actually know what a Cannon Gun is, but she figured as much since they were keeping distance from them as well as their peculiar design that resembled all the other black bugger that they have been fighting. Traversing her turret at their general direction, Kaufman let off a barrage of 20 mm shells, decimating the formation bar one before trailing the gun towards the buildings around the Radar site.

Almost in range of the rockets...... Just a bit more....

Kaufman kept her finger tense on the rocket trigger, waiting for the exact second that her tank came into range of the tower.

As Laleth left his grip Oblivion faded from Ricard's hand, the fatigue still too much for him to maintain his power alone yet. Forced onto one knee he tried to pull himself up, gathering what little power he had left into a spell.

"Laleth, stand clear, I won't be able to do this too much..."

Focusing silvery white energy through the palms of his hands he clasped them together as he fired the beam of Unholy energy at the Heartless before falling flat on his chest, still concious but too weak to move on his own.
