[RP] Kingdom Hearts: Into The Dusk

The SAM battery did not take long for it to explode, the warheads sending sharpnel over any remaining Heartless in the area. Some of the Warthogs however, led by Chao, made their way to the bunker, some of the hogs began pinning down the Heartless Gunners while the soldiers made their way inside and began cleaning house. Unlike the first bunker, it seemed the second bunker was on the way of being reinforced but the Realm of Light forces were too quick to respond and thus reinforcements were slow to get there.

"Keep them pinned down, Chao." Elaine said as she knocked a Heartless in the face with her pole trying to climb onto the vehicle.

Stab 'em in the Eyes

"Just when you think we had this in the bag, this happens..." Raven said as he aimed his 120-mm Cannon at one such cluster of heartless, blowing them away.

"Well, can't say I didn't see it coming." Luna responded by firing her turret gun at another cluster of Cannon Gun Heartless, but there 76-mm Guns proved devastating to one of the tanks, exploding after a 3 rounds of fire.

"Ugh, Dammit. Hey Desiree, how close are you to taking out that radar?"

Almost in range of the rockets...... Just a bit more....

"All right, all tanks focus your firepower on those Heartless, give Desiree enough room to take out that radar."

"Yes, ma'am!!!" The tankers began firing everything they have, destroying the heartless or pushing them back. Hopefully, it would be enough time to launch the rockets and send the radar tower crashing down on them.

(M) Capture the 2nd Bunker and Destroy the Enemy SAM Installation (Chao, Elaine):
The Heartless have a SAM Emplacement built next to a bunker located down the jungle path. Destroying the SAM will allow air strikes from fighter jets. Use the Warthogs and their 12.7-mm Turret Guns to reduce enemy firepower however possible.

(M) Defend the Normandy (Laleth, Tsuki):
Heartless forces have infiltrated the Normandy, get to the Normandy's hangar and prevent any more from coming aboard, then destroy all Heartless on board.

(S) Destroy Enemy Radar Tower (Raven, Luna, Desiree):
The enemy's Radar Tower allows the Heartless to coordinate their defensive across the entire world. Using your newly acquired Panther Close Assault Vehicle and Scorpion MBT's, smash your way to the Radar Tower and destroy it, blinding the enemy and reducing their combat effectiveness.

Harmonic melody of a Rocket Barrage

The Cannon Guy Heartless, labelled by the tank's onboard computers, were being suppressed by supporting Scorpions so that she could advance into range of the radar site. Each close explosion from the Heartless vibrated the chassis of the tank, causing Kaufman's teeth to rattle in her skull, but that was surprisingly comforting. She did live permanently on an airship. With all safety's off, Kaufman used the touchscreen bombardment placement map and lined up the first barrage of rockets in a straight row, stretching from the middle of the trench system, over the radar site and covering the emplacement position to the left.

Rockets are go. I repeat, rockets are go. Lets listen to some music.

A serenade of rockets shot from their racks on Kaufman's tank filling the air with exhausts and the screams of rockets flying in a path of death. Each reverberating thump meant that another heartless died in the resulting explosion.

First salvo complete. Reloading, so move up!

There's my 1812 Overture!!!

Theme-1812 Overture Finale (by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky)

The Rocket's made impact with the radio tower, the structure collapsing to the ground taking out a few of the cannon guys. Apparently, one of the tank drivers began playing the 1812 Overture as the tower fell, thinking it would be a funny joke though Luna didn't seem to mind.

"Heh, just like a noble huh..." Raven thought as he aimed his tank at the remaining Heartless Imperial Cannon Guys. All of the allied tanks began opening fire to the heavy drums of the song, each round hitting their mark, and taking down 4 Heartless, 3 seconds later, another line of fire, another grouping of Heartless went down, and the process continued for the duration of the song, following suit until all Heartless were destroyed.

Raven looked around in surprise as all the Heartless guarding the now destroyed Radar Tower was destroyed, before promptly facepalming.

"So what'd you think?" One of the soldiers said.

"Let's just go..." Raven said as he began driving the tank down the hill, heading down the mountain path to the next bunker.

Second Bunker Recovered

The capturing of the second bunker was just as painless as the first, with soldiers entering the facility and clearing it out. Within a matter of minutes, the bunker's machine guns fell silent, the second bunker was captured.

"Alright, onto the next one." Elaine said before she heard some radio static coming from the Warthog's radio.

"Elaine? Chao? This is Raven, we'll rendezvous at a fork up ahead, let's keep moving towards the city!"

(M) Rendezvous (Raven, Luna, Elaine, Chao, Desiree)
Rendezvous with the rest of team at the three way fork up ahead. Company D, led by Geminia Galbados of Task Force 596, will also be linking up. Work together with your allies to take on the third enemy bunker.

(M) Hot Drop (Laleth, Tsuki)
The Normandy is within the atmosphere of Destiny Island and is flying over the allied beaches. Take one of the Frigate's vehicles and head towards Raven. The soldiers and engineers on board will deal with the Heartless, just focus on getting Tsuki out of danger.

(OOC: I may be taking a break from Rping but I'll still try to post in here...mostly because I actually really enjoy it :P)

As Tsuki fell Laleth didn't know what else to do. She stared at Tsuki and then back at the horde of heartless. With one sigh the girl picked the man's legs up with one in each hand and tugged, as if trying to drag him out of the hangar. She didn't know where she would try to take him to but she knew that they needed cover. It looked like Tsuki wouldn't be able to fight for much longer.

With her keyblade summoned Laleth easily dispatched a few small heartless whom had torn themselves from the nearby shadows to attack them both. She didn't know what type of plan of action she could take. Either she could try to summon again and fight or she could stay and protect Tsuki. Both decisions took high risks, for Laleth knew that summoning Death wouldn't be much use as the demon only served to follow and in some cases mirror her movements. Then there was of course the last summon of which she had not used yet on her journey with this group. While it was a healing demon it would take time and be of a risk as it was meant to serve as her own backup in case she ever became injured.

In this state of emergency Laleth's mind buzzed with options, most causing her to make decisions that were very much out of character for her. "Yaknow you may be human but you have no spirit." she scoffed. "Try being a man! Work through those injuries! It can't be all that bad!"

Laleth's eyes shifted from Tsuki to the hangar's vehicles. If she were going to leave Normandy, now would be the perfect time, but the consequences of doing so made ift hard for her to reach a final decision.
 
Chao

End in Sight

Chao took a slight respite from the gun. Her thumbs were sore from the constant bumb of the warthog, the pressure on the thumb trigger and the rattle of the gatling gun had made her arm sore. Fighting with keyblades was more her M.O. As luck would have it, the second bunker was a push over, with the accompanying soldiers quickly disembarking and storming the building. Before long, the R.o.L flag flew on the bunker.

Well... that went smoother than expected....

Despite being a fair distance away, it was hard to miss the loud thumps of the scorpions firing their cannons and the rocket barrage where Luna, Raven and Desiree was at. From the sound of things, Chao did not want to be the Heartless that was facing that kind of attack. With the Radar tower gone and some crucial SAM sites, more reinforcements and armour were on its way. The attack was in full swing and in their favour.

"Elaine? Chao? This is Raven, we'll rendezvous at a fork up ahead, let's keep moving towards the city!"

Break time is over i guess.

Shaking out her fingers, Chao wrapped her slender fingers around the trigger of the gun once more as their boys ran out of the bunker and got back on their warthogs. A small detachment had been left behind to solidify the post, but the rest was moving on further in.

Alright boys! Strap up and nut up, we're heading into the city!

Cityscape combat was very bad for convoys of vehicles, particularly if the roads were narrow. It forced powerful, large vehicles into vulnerable lines. Tanks had it a bit better with their platings, but the guys on warthogs like herself was vulnerable to small arms fire.

Keep sharp, especially when we regroup with Raven and move on forward!

The fleet of warthogs lurched forward once more towards the crossroad for their rendevous.

Kick Back and Admire the Masterpiece.

The fairly levelled landscape and building of the Radar site was horrific. Entire sections were shot to bits and crater holes littered the site. Even if there were survivors, there was no way any of them had the capabilities of fending off the tank assualt that stood by. Ground troops began mop up and consolidation, but the convoy was to move on. They were to meet up with the group of warthogs that Eliane and Chao was with before making a push for their 3rd bunker. With such a sizeable force, either the R.o.L forces were going to steam roll over them, or crawl and fight for every inch of ground. Letting the other tanks move ahead first, staying near the rear as Kaufman began the reloading process for her rocket tubes. As much destruction as she could provide, the tank was vulnerable during this period.

Rendezvous with Company D

The column of tanks began heading down the hill, a vulnerable position had the Heartless maintained their air superiority in battle. But with the Realm of Light maintaining control of the skies, it was an easy trek down.

"I think this is way too easy? Where are the reinforcements?" Luna asked to Raven and Desiree.

"Probably at the designated fortress, do we have any intel on it?"

"No we don't, guess we'll have to find out when we get there."

The drive was relatively peaceful, reaching the rendezvous point in around 10 minutes. Unsurprisngly, Company D was already at the rendezvous point, with the Company D and Task Force 596 commander, Captain Geminia Galbados waiting. Driving the tank close to the Sorceress, Raven opened the hatch.

"Glad to see that you got your new toys." Geminia said to the TF 108 commander.

"Heh, sorry to keep you waiting..." Raven said, rubbing the back of his head.

"OK, are you going to flirt or are we gonna continue our mission?" Luna yelled at the two officers.

The Gang's All Together

"Yes, Ma'am"

The Warthogs began driving in a column along the wide, yet winding path to the rendezvous point. It was a quick pace, but the road was long. They too eventually found the rendezvous, with about a dozen tanks already available. Now all that was left was to brief everyone on the current situation and see where to go from there.

(M) Capture the Third Bunker & Destroy Enemy Sniper Points (Raven, Luna, Elaine, Chao, Desiree)
The Third Bunker is guarded by enemy sniper points. In addition to standard Heartless, there are snipers and anti-tank shocktroopers ready to give our forces a hell of a fight. It is imperative that these Sniper Points are destroyed and the bunker Captured so we will have a forward base to assault the fortress.

Traffic Backlog


The column had slowed down considerably, given their previous pace, but the two different units finally met and merged, creating the force that would be engaging the third bunker. What Luna had said was also niggling at the back of her mind. Their trek seems way too hassle free. There wasn't even any harassment fire or hit and run distraction tactics. If the heartless were as pushed as they are thought to be, then they would at least be trying to buy time in order to set up defense, but no. There was no sign of that. Shifting uncomfortably, Kaufman could only keep scanning the area through her tank's sights.

"OK, are you going to flirt or are we gonna continue our mission?"

Kaufman couldn't help but give Luna a slight jab and proceeded to pop open her hatch to observe.

Ara? Do i sense jealousy of any sort here dear Luna? Perhaps Raven should only flirt with you only?

At that time, Chao and Eliane's column of Warthogs (so listed on the onboard computer) rolled in and regrouped with the rest of the force.

Fine and peachy if you must ask.

Chao's voice was a bit strained with a hint of irritation in her voice. Truthfully, she wasn't irritated at anyone. Her wounds on her arm was throbbing with a dull numbness, coming and going. To her best guess, the constant rattling of the chain gun has irritated the wound and causing some slight disruptions to her hand. Flexing her fingers for a few seconds, Chao clenched her fist and determined to ignore it, turned to Raven and Geminia.

Whatever.... Whats the plan for the assault? I'm sure they aren't going to roll over for us to waltz right in. Do we have any intel or plan?

Ignoring Laleth's words, to Tsuki their best option for now was retreat, with his weakened state and Laleth's stubbornness and youth, they wouldn't last long. Dragging himself to his feet he grabbed Laleth by the arm, feeling his energy return slightly he made a dash to one of the still functioning vehicles. Finding it still in functioning order he started it up and took the wheel, charging out of the Hangar with Laleth, it wasn't something he wished to do, retreat from a Heartless, but at this point it was suicidal to continue, it didn't make much sense how only when he made contact with Laleth could he use his powers, for now he'd have to keep a close watch on her and avoid seperation if he wanted to keep them both alive...

Still holding her hand to keep himself stable he drove them through till he found a relatively safe area before he spoke up "Before you say anything, i'm sure your pride stings for having to retreat but I think us staying alive is more important than a ship we can get back, unlike lives"

"Oh and once we meet up with the rest of the group i'll let you go, right now it's the only thing keeping me awake"

Laleth rolled her eyes and took in a sigh. If they were to retreat, she felt that it would be best to have a credible reason. "Well I guess if we really MUST, we should report this infestation to Raven." she spoke surveying the empty space they currently were.

Laleth just knew if she had it her way, she would have piloted this vehicle straight through the Heartless, mowing them down in groups. "Oh and once we meet up with the rest of the group i'll let you go, right now it's the only thing keeping me awake."

"How would we know where they are down there?"Laleth asked in her best "mature" imitation of kaufman's voice.

There were many questions like this buzzing around her head, such as the objective Raven had for even coming to this planet, How Tsuki got the strength to pilot this strange vehicle, or why the man wouldn't let her go. The most important question in her heart, needed to be answered first, and Laleth one again had kept focused on the goal that had allowed her to push through so far.

"If you're going to retreat then let's get out of here." She spoke flicking a switch upon the dashboard which had allowed the Hangar of the large ship to open unto them, revealing clouds of the skies, and land on the ground below. "Well?-"

Her speech as interrupted by a shriek of a large Heartless from behind. With a quick glance behind she could see a black shape, pushing large vehicles out of it's way with it's sheer strength in order to reach them both. Through impulse and panic Laleth shoved down Tsuki's leg on the pedal below him to make their vehicle go charging towards the opening of the hangar. The destruction of the current debris of the giant heartless when launching pass them and around them in a terrible mess, but it had not hindered their hasty escape.

The Vehicle had gotten close to the edge and one last eerie scream from the black beast was made before Laleth and Tsuki had gone overboard. The small girl was relieved for only a moment as gravity pulled her heart down along with the vehicle. She could feel them falling, a welling inside her chest that made her as frightened as the little girl she was. She hated the mere idea of falling from a large height such as this, helpless, with no control of her surroundings. In her fright Laleth buried her head under Tsuki's arm, as if hiding would stop them from falling from miles high in the air.




 
The Fortified City

Luna pouted, crossing her arms and looking away, "Hmph, Raven can flirt with whoever he wants, I don't care." This made Raven laugh at the thought, surely they've been hanging around with Sora too long. There's no way he and Luna would be together like that.

The Warthog group finally arrived, with Elaine in the driver's seat and Chao at the gunner's seat.

"Same here, though I kind of wish this battle would end so we could just get some sleep."

"Oh stop your complaining already..."

Both Raven and Luna knew that something was wrong with Chao. To be fair, she did suffer a serious injury on her arm back at Radiant Garden, nonetheless she paid no attention to it.

Geminia thought for a moment, closing her eyes and folding her arms. "There is one more bunker between us and the fortress...or rather, the fortified city in Destiny Islands. Unfortunately, that Bunker has several hidden positions for snipers, magic users and RPG Shock troopers. I'll cast a Protect spell over our vehicles and personnel, that should keep us safe as we strike at Bunker 3."

"All right then, all troops be careful, Company C and D will move to the third enemy bunker. Geminia, me and Luna take the lead."

"Understood, Captain Otsdarva. Please be careful leading from the front. We'll cover your backs." As the doors closed and the people began entering their vehicles once more, the column, now doubled the size as normal began moving to the third bunker.

As Tsuki fought to gain control of the vehicle he found Laleth had buried her head under his arm, once he managed to stabilise it's movements he reassuringly placed a hand on her head "As cute as you look right now huddled away there, we're safe from falling now" Tsuki then started to move at a move relaxed space, at least while they weren't under any fire he didn't want to scare her needlessly.

"I suppose for now we'd better look for Raven... Wherever the hell he is" Tsuki continued the calm pace while searching the ground and the sky for anything that might give them a clue.

Finding no real resistance along the way he set the vehicle down for a moment before turning to Laleth "Before we move along, are you okay Laleth? There's not a lot I can do other than drive right now and I don't want you being hurt"

Kaufman tapped her feet on the metal floor of the tank. Spell was all fine and dandy but she still didn't like the sound of rpg and magic users as well as snipers, all in fortified positions and gunning for her. Still, she was in a much better position than Chao and Eliane. At the very least, the tank protected her from sniper fire, but those two were exposed to the air.

"All right then, all troops be careful, Company C and D will move to the third enemy bunker. Geminia, me and Luna take the lead."

Ah well, into the firepot we go. Good luck everyone.

Even with the hatch now closed, Kaufman could still easily hear the revs of the convoy's engines. A loud cacophony of tank and warthog engines rumbled to life as they made their way towards the 3rd Bunker. Unlike her other tank compatriots, Kaufman had one salvo and one salvo only for this run as slowing down to reload the missile pods was suicidal, even with Protect. As they proceeded down the road towards the bunker, harrassing sniping fire begun.

Chao

Out in the open


This was one time Chao was feeling a bit queasy in a battle. Warthogs was all fine and danyd in most cases, but it was the worst when advancing down towards a known position that is bristling with snipers. If he driver was a horrible evader, then she was a sitting duck. Thankfully, that was not the case as Chao had yet to be missing her head. Bullets plinged off the side the car, showing that it wasn't going to be smooth sailing, but luckily, the warthogs were fast. She just had to keep her eye out for RPG soldiers that may pop up. Leave the snipers for the driver. Her chain gun would have to deal with any Anti vehicle soldiers.. Gun spooling at ready, Chao's finger hovered about the fire button.

Shadows in the Mist

The column of vehicles that were moving to the next bunker was already coming under light fire from the enemy as bullets riddled Raven and Geminias' Scorpions as well as Elaine's Warthog. Despite this, it was a relatively, and surprisingly peaceful ride.

For one Heartless Imperial Soldier, who was holding in his hands a RPG-29, aimed down from a hidden tower. He spotted a Warthog, with two female soldiers inside. "You're dead, bitches." The soldier fired the Rocket, which came flying down towards them. It barely missed the vehicle but it swerved out of control, crashing into another Warthog.

"RPG!!!!" A passenger in the Warthog called out, only to get a hole put through his head as he slumped out of the Passenger Seat and onto the ground.

"All Warthog's, evasive maneuvers!" Geminias yelled out on the radio as more rockets came firing down at the armored column, with one of the trailing Scorpions behind Raven exploding after about 4 direct hits. Luna began aiming her turret gun at a suspected sniper position while Raven aimed the tank cannon at another. As they drove up the path they began firing, a tank shell destroying the enemy guard tower while 12.7-mm rounds laid down suppressive fire.

Meanwhile, Elaine was busy dodging rocket fire, evading any stray shots as she tried to keep Chao steady to lay down suppressive fire of her own. "Any time you ready to fire. I hope you can do it now!!!"

LALETH AIRES

Fighting for a Purpose​

"As cute as you look right now huddled away there, we're safe from falling now"

Hearing this Laleth immediately unburied her head from Tsuki's arm and pouted. She didn't know how to react from such a statement or word rather. "Cute", Laleth couldn't understand if the older man was giving her a compliment and trying to butter her up or being a complete pervert.

"I suppose for now we'd better look for Raven... Wherever the hell he is"

"Y-yeah. Whatever. Let's get to it already." The girl spoke in the bravest tone she could muster. "Where could Raven be?"

She observed where they resided. Amoungst the trees and the dirt and the blue skies she and Tsuki were once more separated from the rest of the group. She sat up in the vehicle and looked around, hearing nothing but the distant sounds of battle and gunfire. "So we have no clue where to go now." Laleth said slumping back into her seat. "We're not getting anything done by just getting lost again, it's worst than not having a purpose."

A part of her still wished they were fighting the Heartless up on the ship or at least out on the battlefield. Just then she spotted a hooded shape out of the rear view mirror. A hooded shape that looked very familiar. "Stay here!" the little girl commanded to Tsuki as she ran out of the vehicle along the beach and towards the trees of the island where she saw the hooded person. "Hey you!" she asked as the hooded man ran into the islan'd tree's, seemingly leading the girl into a trap.

"Hey! Come back here!" Laleth spoke angered as she caught up with the man and summoned her keyblade in one hand. "I'm talking to you."

"She's not here either you know." it spoke.

"Give her back!" Laleth said as both of them ran to a small forest clearing.

"You have to deliver on your end of the deal first." It chuckled.

The voice was of a man, and it was the same man that Laleth had seen that had changed her life for good. The same man who had started the event that caused her to search planet after planet for her missing loved one. "There was no deal." Laleth spoke running towards the man and striking him. Instead she was meat with a scythe that had cut her so visciously that she had gone twirling back through the scratchy branches of the forest she had run through.

The man's sheer force and energy had caused her to rocket backward like a missle, back to where Tsuki and his vehicle were. The girl tumbled into the dirt and hit the back of the vehicle hard, making a dent yet causing her great pain. Laleth slumped to the ground, both angry and distrubed. HE thought it was a game to her. HE had been following her and watching her step by step, world by world as she playe his game. HE still had power, enough power to flaunt around her whenever HE pleased. And as Laleth sat there bleeding from her scratched face and aching from the bruises she had received she was sure HE would be gone off somewhere to observe her next move.

"Agh" the girl said tasting blood in her mouth as she held the vehicle for support to get bhe back on her feet again. "Where the hell is Raven?" she grunted in her own anger. The girl wanted power, a power that could defeat her own enemy. It was the reason for her joining Ravens team in the first place and as she was reminded once again she was not strong enough she craved to receive some sort of boost in her ability.
 
OOC: Yo, Oli, you could have Laleth somehow through shere miraculous luck make her way lost into the third bunker and we sorta meet in there. Im sure there are secret tunnels and abandoned pathways throughout the island to make that possible if you want to meet up.

Left and right, vehicles were going up in flames, its occupants being hurled out of their seats and onto the ground. The lucky ones laid on the sides, wounded, but alive. The unlucky ones went up with their vehicles. The tanks that were destroyed left no chance for its occupants to escape, especially when their ammo bay goes up. It was pretty nerve wracking now that Kaufman thought back about it. Her tank carried a payload of high yield exlposive missiles. If she copped on direct hit in the wrong area, she was going to transform instantly into so many particles of ash that she'd probably disperse with the wind.... and probably take out any allies near enough to her. Another few more seconds and she would be within range to launch her barrage. It would serve to tenderise and soften up the defense so that the warthogs could have an easier time getting close.

Steady.... Steady.....

A lone RPG screamed across the field, a direct hit by Kaufman's account. She couldn't tell if that was gonna make her go kaboom, but she could only keep going and close her eyes. Rather than going up in a fireball, Tank 00987 accelerated and took the rpg for her. The cover for one of his tracks blew straight off, but he was still good.

GOGOGO MA'AM! WE GOT YOU COVERED!

Right. Here we go!

Again there was a flurry of noise as the missiles all ignited and flew out of its tubes. Consequently, the back blast kicked up a cloud of dust that provided some visual cover for those behind her.

Alright! Let's go!

The quicker they got to the bunker, the faster she could contribute. Lacking the cannon that most normal tanks have, she was rather useless right now.

As the rockets screamed overhead Chao depressed the trigger and the lead started flying again. The warthog was as steady as it was going to get, but the chain gun was never a very accurate weapon to begin with. Nonetheless, it kept people's head down and thats all that mattered. The point fo the attack, being the warthogs, were fast approaching the bunker and soon, they'd be right on top of the heartless. If they carried their momentum, the heartless should fold like cards.

While Raven, Geminia and the Scorpion Tanks absorbed the fire from enemy RPG's and magic spells, the Warthogs sped down the path through enemy fire. For Elaine, it was like taking the driving test back home. She sped along the path, following the vehicles as they went through the winding path, the gunners shooting at various parts to keep heads down and away from enemy fire. One unlucky Heartless exploded upon contact with 12.7-mm rounds of hot lead.

Finally, they reached the third bunker, located on the side of a hill with two watchtowers next to them. Both of them had well trained snipers to pick off enemies and thin the line while machine gun nests cover a trench between them and the fortress. Elaine quickly spun the Warthog around in a 180 degree circle as the bullets started firing. Heartless Assault Riders and Armored Knights moved out of the trenches to engage the Realm of Light soldiers in Close Quarters, some were gunned down before they themselves were hit with machine gun fire.

Elaine came down from the side of the vehicle before the driver's seat was shot up with 7.62-mm rounds. "Good lord, we're pinned down!!!" Elaine yelled, before signalling Chao to take cover before she got shot at.

Another group of soldiers, the ones on the ship were also together, still alive. "Damn, it's like they're plowing the ground with bullets!"

"Don't get hit, Yami." Allen responded, "I still got something I gotta tell you!"

"I know, I know messenger boy. You hang in there too!"

The Scorpions continued to bear the brunt of the enemy attacks, with a few vehicles exploding after successive RPG's punched through the Protect spells and even punching into the tank armor itself.

"Tank 07014 is down, I repeat, Tank 07014 is down!" One of the tank drivers cursed as he saw hi buddy's vehicle explode on impact. The tank next to them was Geminias' vehicle, which had the 596th Task Force's resident Sniper, Maria Long aiming her Anti-Material Rifle at suspected Sniper Positions. Squeezing the trigger, a 12.7-mm round blasted out of the barrel and tore the head off a Dark Human sniper hiding in a hidden watch-tower.

Raven on the other hand just continued speeding ahead, trying to catch up with the Tank columns as they finally met the Warthogs being gun down by the third bunker. "Well now, I guess the lord works in mysterious ways then." Raven chuckled as Luna laid down some supressive fire from her turret gun, eliminating some of the soldiers out of the trench while Raven fired off a few rounds from his 90-mm Cannon right on top of the trench.

Elaine almost jumped for joy at the sight of allied support, and calling out to Chao, she said, "Once they finish, we rush in and clear the place out. Alright?"

(M) Capture the Third Bunker & Destroy Enemy Sniper Points (Raven, Luna, Elaine, Chao, Desiree)
The Third Bunker is guarded by enemy sniper points. In addition to standard Heartless, there are snipers and anti-tank shocktroopers ready to give our forces a hell of a fight. It is imperative that these Sniper Points are destroyed and the bunker Captured so we will have a forward base to assault the fortress.

Raven is located close to your position, by the third bunker. Follow the sounds of gunfire and you are sure to find him, and possibly chew him out too...

Trench Warfare at its finest

"Once they finish, we rush in and clear the place out. Alright?"

Right....

The heavy shells from the tank continued to rock and decimate the trenches before it ceased. The instant the last shell sailed overhead, Chao bounded out from her cover and made a bee line straight for the trenches. Within seconds, she was amongst the Dark knights and soldiers that had emerged to engage her own forces, but Chao ignored them, only cutting down those taht stood in the path. They could spend all day taking out those that have come out of the trenches, but it was quickest, albeit more risky, if shock troopers broke through and took down the trench system from the inside.

Once inside the trench, the small detachment of soldiers with her kept back any Heartless soldiers attempting to get to them while one gave her a M1897. Perfect for the close quarter fighting she was going into. Looped in into her left hand was a trench knife. It was quicker to attack with the knife than to take out her Keyblades.

Alright, Team one, follow me. Two, take the right. Three and four, go down to the next line and split left and right. Go, go go!

By dispersing quickly, the shock troopers could lose their unwanted attention from those that saw them enter the trench whilst spreading panic and chaos all along the system. Already, Chao had taken care of one machine gun bunker, kicking down the door and laying into the tight space with her shotgun and automatic fire from her soldiers before throwing a grenade in and moving on. Keeping on the move is critical in order to not get boxed in.

Trench Warfare at its Finest II

As soon as the shelling stopped, she immediate followed suit with Chao, and ran for the trenches while the enemy was distracted. Hitting the trench, she came across several Hearless that would've surrounded the two had the shocktroopers not come in to take advantage with them. While Chao moved to take a shotgun and combat knives from one of the shocktroopers, Elaine got into her fighting stance, standing opposite of Chao, yet watching her back.

Alright, Team one, follow me. Two, take the right. Three and four, go down to the next line and split left and right. Go, go go!

Elaine moved forward with Team two, quickly moving forward to the machine gun nest on the right hand side. The heartless gunners were consisting of two soldiers and a Dark Human. The soldier heartless jumped in, moving to take a swipe at Elaine, but Elaine countered with one chop to the neck, followed by a roundhouse kick. The Dark Human quickly moved for a gun, but the Shocktrooper put a few rounds from the DMR into his chest, the enemy slumping down to the floor.

THAT WAS MY TANK!!!!!!!!!!!!! :rage:

As Chao and Elaine sowed carnage in the trenches, Luna moved to provide cover fire with her Heavy Machine Gun when out of nowhere a Large Body jumped out from the trees.

"Incoming!!!" One of the soldiers cried out before it landed on top of Raven's tank, smashing the turret. Another Large Body came down amid heavy gunfire from Luna's Machine landed hard on the tank's base, knocking the Keyblader out of the gunner seat and onto the tank. The cockpit where Raven was in cracked and warped from the shockwave of the impact.

"Son of a bitch!!!" Raven cursed under his breath as the Large Body moved over and began to force the cockpit open. As it was forced open enough, Raven pulled out his pistol and unloaded an entire clip of 9mm bullets right in it's face, forcing it to roll down the cockpit.

Meanwhile, Luna came across the second Large Body Heartless that landed down next to her. "Move. Now." Shiva said in Luna's mind as she quickly moved to dodge the Large Body's attack, summoning her Keyblade for battle. Raising her free hand, she shot out a Blizzara spell right at the enemy, the shards of ice went through the heartless and disappeared in a cloud of darkness.

Laleth could feel her spine run cold as her anger settled upon her. Her own demonic instincts had begun to kick in. The girl fought hard against it, for she knew it was easier to get lost in her anger in stressful situations such as this. Laleth stood, her body hardened from the demonic blood she had possessed and her mind slowly becoming consumed with shame and anger. Where she came from she could make grown men fall to their knees or big threats vanish but she wasn't powerful enough, her last few fights had taught her that.

"Ah," she spoke weak in the knees catching her head in her hands as a pain throbbed hard in her skull.

"Abel! Cain! Grim!" she gasped not noticing the purple miasma smoke spilling from the palms of her hand.

Laleth's pain eased a bit once she called the names of her summons but it did not leave at an instant. She could hear things, voices of her summoned creatures whispering to her in her head, each voice trying to talk over the other. Laleth was concentrating now, trying to get all three to either quiet down or talk one by one. She stood her ground listening closely and then felt in her heart where she needed to go. Laleth ran towards the direction from whence she had come. The trees whizzed past her as she ran toward the place her enemy had been.

The purple smoke streamed past her as she looked forward with concentration. "Come out from hiding!" she screamed at the hooded person before feeling a huge blast erupt from behind her.

Laleth stopped at an instant as did the purple smoke and the voices of the creatures within her head. With a few loud bangs she found herself confused as to where she was. More and more funfire sounds came from up ahead and Laleth hurried forward through the tree's summoning her keyblade as the sight of a malicious heartless came into view. She sped up, eager to take her anger out on something.

With a swift jump and speed Laleth flew through the air at the Large heartless and struck it from behind, emerging out of the trees she had resided in and into a whole new area. The girl landed on the other side of the heartless where only black smoke could be seen now. She could hear even more loud gunfire from up ahead. Laleth focused her eyes before breathing a sigh of relief from spotting familiar persons resembling Raven's team. It looked as if she had found Raven's team on the island after all and had gone forward to greet them.
 
As Laleth left Tsuki alone he felt his energy begin to rapidly fade, it didn't help his body was going up and down in strength in such short intervals. Not long after she left was she sent charging back into the side of the vehicle, before he could summon the energy to call out to her to get back in she had got up and left, breathing more heavily now he was starting to feel his eyes growing heavier. Trying to hold on he could barely make out the sillhouettes of what he assumed to be people in the distance approaching him, holding out his hand towards them he tried to summon one of his keyblades, just as black mist began to swirl around his arm however, he lost conciousness, falling forward on the wheel.

As soon as the black came he suddenly found himself standing in a void-like place, completely white and devoid of any real life, except for whomever was behind him. Turning to find out he found... Himself, or should he say, his 'other' self, the self that he became during the tournament. "And what do you want, abomination?"
