[S-U/D] Aina - The return of Sorvahr

It's a three character limit not requirement. :P

Also, elves live just about the same as humans, forgot lifespan details there >_>

Chell she is approved and has my stamp of personal approval on her

Well, ket me get started on my bio then.

Question. Any possibility of flint or matchlock firearms? or is the crossbow the limit on projectiles?

Btw, bootiful pic of Shanoa Monarch

Name:
Gozen Matabei (Gozen is surname)

Gender:
Female

Age:
24

Race:
Human

Occupation:
Soldier, Samurai class (Officer rather than normal grunt)

Alignment:
Lawfully Good

Appearance:

Matabei.jpg

Hair: White ponytail that reaches to the small of her back, angled at 30 degree upwards

Eyes:
Hazel Green eyes

Skin Tone:
Pale pink

Height:
Matabei is a staggering 190 cm tall

Weight:
70kg. Heavy for any females, but for her height, just
perfect considering muscle mass.

Build:
Matabei has small frame build, meaning she is naturally slimmer, rather than being well set. Slight and petite she isnt,
but she has the chest and butt of a female with generous proportions.

Clothing Style:
Rather oriental, clean and proper, although showing a bit more skin than confortable for most women at this age. She also wears her detailed armour as well as her extravagant headpiece and her cloak/mantle.

Accessories:
The closest thing that is an accessory can be her wakizashi that she wears behind her head. She has no earrings as they are a hinderance in battle, nor can she wear rings with her gauntlet.
Tall, leggy and buxom. Matabei was a Onna Bugeisha (female warrior), uncommon from her area. She stands at an impressive 190cm tall. Her most distinguishing features are that she is female, her height, her bust size and her long legs. As a feared and famed warrior during her times, even by male standards, she is strong, granted by her size despite retaining her female curves. Her hair is white, done in a mid pony tail, trailing down to her waist while she has a slightly off eagle wing bangs. Her side bangs reaches down to her upper chest. Matabei's eye colour is a hazel green with a light pink comlexion. Matabei is lucky in the fact that she has no scarring despite the long time she had been on the battlefields

Attire:
Matabei wears a female fundoshi with a black
hakama with a very obvious side vents and extremely flaired pant hem. It is to the point where it looks like a dress. The hakama hem spools over her feet, but her footwear is what raises it off the floor. For her upper torso, Matabei wears a white, sleeveless, backless kimono. For her feet, Matabei dons short ankled, white tabi with 15 cm high wooden geta. These shoes are steel plated underneath and along the vertical stands, which allow the use of her feet in combat. To tie her ponytail, Matabei uses a long red ribbon in which she makes a cradle where she can slip in her wakiashi securely.

For her armour, Matabei had decided to go light weight. Her chest armour is light, covering most of her upper front torso and sides, but leaves her back rather open besides her lower back. Her skirt armour is also light, reaching from her waist to just above her knee. For gauntlets, the overlapping plating make means it is quite capable of being used as a shield to some degree against bladed attacks. To top off her ensemble, her headpiece is what also distinguishes her amongst people. The main helmpiece is the same silver as her other armour pieces.
It covers most of the side of her head as well as her temples. The arching dip at the front also offer some limited protection for her eyes. It is held up by two straps on each side at the end, tied around the back of her head one above and the other below her ponytail. On the top of Matabei's head is a small silver headpiece headpiece with silver wire decorations and intricate carved details along with pearls at the side. It's shape is intended to resemble a dragon's head. On either side are a short column of tiger gur shaped into a cylindrical manner and on top of these are three peacock feathers before a pheasant tail feather is stuck on top. The total length of it is 110 cm, making her impressive height even taller. The pheasant tail stands erect and bends only slightly backwards around 90cm above. It is highly flexible so it does not break easily and capable of extreme bending. In total, her height is a staggering 3.15m tall. The final headpiece is kept on her ehad via two steel bands which can be clipped onto the interier of the forehead piece.

Personality:

Relatively light hearted, Matabei takes things as they come. To stereotype, Matabei can be seen as the big sister/ mother persona rolled into one body. This means that while she is capable of teasing, joking and general merryment with her friends and companion, Matabei retains a sense of responsiblity to make sure that they are safe and sound and try to keep them out of trouble. As a result, she is more than willing to throw herself into danger if it meant that she could help a friend out. Along with this is that panic does not come to Matabei. If things begin to heat up and get worse, Matabei takes it as it comes. This is mostly due to the format of training she has been put through, that panic leads to death.

With other people, her culture and her rather more noble family line (in her area) meant that Matabei is well mannered, composed and cultured. Her speech can be somewhat formal, ending people's names with the honorific "sama" or "dono". This makes her seem somewhat submissive and subservient as if she is talking to nobility or her liege. With everyone she meets, she gives them equal respect, praticularly those she cross swords with. Even if they are the scum of the earth and are doing nothing but antagonistic, Matabei has enough composure to not rise up against these provocation, but smile it off and if it comes to a fight, she would just do the most minimum damage needed to settle it. However, this only applies to things directed at her. Those aimed at her friends, she would stand up for them, still trying to keep things civil, but if it came to a fight, Matabei would be the first into it for her friends.

In face of strangers that had committied crime, her sense of justice kicks in and she just can't quite turn away from it. Dependant on the situation, if it wouldn't bring any additional trouble to her or her companions, then Matabei probably confront. If it was a friend that has done the deed, rather than immediately take proper action, like a sister, she would try to understand as to why they had done that and may try to help them from repeating it. In her heart, she knows she is hyprocritical, but she could not just send her friends to prison or to the law.

On the battlefield, she enjoys the fight, not on a blood thirsty level, but the process of clashing blades, competition. To her, it is like sparring, even though one usually ends with death. Rather than revel in the ending of her opponents life, she thanks every single one forsharpening her skill. Taking lives is not what she enjoys doing, but the path of a martial artist is lined with potential death. Anyone that fights should be prepared for one's end.

Matabei's cultural background is lodged solidly on virtue, fealty, loyalty, chivalry and honour. That means she is devoted to her friends to a fault, making her an easy target for betrayal, though she had lived through a fair few of those as well. However, that has not stopped her in trusting people. Just makes her a bit more cautious, but not by much. Her trust in people often makes people think she is dumb. On the contrary, rather than dumb as she is quite intelligent, she is gullible and credulous, making her prime target for pranks with friends.About herself, Matabei is open, straightforward and kind. She is a bad liar, making her a bad gambler in certain games, but she has incredible luck to the point of miracles. People are able to tell if she lies as she often sounds even more formal than her usual speech and she has a hard time looking at the person in the eye. Instead, Matabei sugarcoats harsh words and try to balance out any negative things she had said. For arguments, Matabei can be quite forgiving, willing to put things behind her if they are not too serious. A simple apology would do. She would even apologies along as well, if it makes repairing the relationship easier.

First Impression:
What much can be said about meeting a 3 meter tall woman wielding weapons that can easily cleave a man in two and armour? Nothing much besides intimidation and "can you get out of my sunlight?". However, pass her size, her face is friendly enough that people are relatively civil and nice with her. Her exposed back and arms also draw a few raised eyebrows considering the age that she is in.

Weapons:
Her weapons are varied. She is mainly known for her spear and naginata skills, particularly wielding both simultaneously. She is well versed in the samurai arts of swordsmanship, archery, martial arts and to some extent, ninjutsu in the real life sense (not naruto style). As a battle ready, front line Samurai, Matabei carried most of her weapons onto the field.

Both her Naginata and her Yari have identicalwhich it is latched onto. Made of a relatively flexible metal, the shafts are 1.5 meters in length.

Jumonji Yari: The Yari head is a cross in shape with upwards tilting blades that curve towards the opponents on the horizontal cross. It is 60 cm long with the cross reaching a span of 30cm. At the apex of the curve, there is a small point in which enables pull back attacks to work. Mounted on this
shaft. Total length is two meters and is helf in her left hand. More a precision stabbing weapon.

Naginata: The naginata head is broad and about 60cm long. It has a small rectangular tsuba. Slightly shorter than her Yari, it is 1.9 meters long. Held in her right and is her crowd control weapon, sweeping aside crowds and for slash attacks

Katana and Wakizashi: The short sword stuck under her pony tail, handle pointing right. Its length is 45 cm with a 15cm handle. The katana is slipped into her right waist held by tying the cloth cradle to the hakama. It is 90 cm in length with the handle being 20 cm. Usually, due to its small size relative to Matabei, she dual wields both of them.

Yumi Bow: This bow is massive, being 2.3 meters (wiki it up) in length. The quiver is on her back behind her waist with all her arrows. As with a custom bow, its power is much greater than that of mortal bows, giving it a deadly effective range of 400m

Abilities:
Brute Strength: Matabei possess near mythical strength, which is not surprising considering her size, natural birth traits and constant training. Through these factors, her enemies and allies alike refer to her as Aina's equivalent of a human tank. A single blow can blast away normal men at arms. This strength allows her to wield her two pole arms with ease in battle, sweeping aside her enemies as well as carry most of her weapons on her own personage

Bushido: Being brought up under this Code of Conduct, Matabei's personality is shaped to what it is now. However, part of the code is mastery in weaponry and martial arts. Therefore, Matabei is a master to the use of her pole arms, her swords and most conventional projectiles. Along this line is the combat style of hair breadth combat, where the idea is to use the most minimal effort to evade a strike, rather than block with a shield. This style allows Matabei to remain relatively in top condition whilst creating opportunities to strike.

Intimidation and Reputation: While not an ability per se, a prior reputation and her stature can instill fear onto her foes. A war cry or a charging Matabei often is enough to cause men to stir and falter, though skilled warriors and knights would not be overly deterred should they have sufficient self confidence in their skill.

Skills/talents:
Along with skills in warfare and martial arts, Matabei is a skilled artisen with the paintbrush and with musical instruments. She is also skilled in hunting using traditional Matagi methods.

History:
Matabei was born within a samurai family that lived by the bushido code. As with any noble, participation and education in the arts of war was compulsory. Matabei went along with her siblings in their lessons and soon found out she had more talent than her male siblings in warfare, but woefully weaker in many female arts in comparison to her sisters. Her father was sorely tempted to forbid her from the lessons so that she may be more ladylike, but only with her mother's plea that she can continue as a hobby, was she allowed to continue to fight.

Despite the peace in Aina, small provisional lords still clashed. It was during one of the more major clashes that Matabei proved herself. On the losing side, Matabei and many females volunteered to fight. Matabei took up arms and stormed the battlefield, tearing through the opposing army. Like a demon, Matabei rampaged amongst the enemy line, causing confusion and panic, which allowed her lord's army to crush them. While the war quickly finished, her Lord was quick to recognise such prowess and promptly recommended her to join the Ainan Army. While she may have had experience in warfare plus recommendation, it was small scale and Matabei had to work her way through the ranks, which was not difficult. Results were quick to show and Matabei made officer relatively quickly with a burgeoning reputation to boot.

You can grab either one...or both if you want, make your pick and I'll put them as occupied.

Head of Military Forces Bio - Finished

Name: Hunter Indar
Gender: Male
Age: 37
Race: Human
Occupation: Head of Military Forces
Alignment: Neutral Good.
Appearance:

a_MAN_by_heise.jpg

Eye Shape/Colour: Almond shaped with a cold serious stare. Hunters eyes are his most capturing feature. They are a deep chocolate brown in colour but sometimes in the light people swear they see his eyes change red. His stare is intimidating and he can easily glare down his underlings when one steps out of line.
Hair Style/Colour: Hunter has long black hair. It is sleek and shiny and he often finds women in the streets asking how he gets it that healthy. The length is down to his mid-back and it has a reddish tint to it.
Skin Tone: Hunter's skin is fair and quite pale. It is free from blemishes and looks as soft as a baby's bottom.
Body Build: Despite being a pretty boy, his body is quite masculine. He has muscle definition all over his body but not too much to prevent him from being speedy in battle.
Weight: 85kg
Height: 6 foot 7
Armour: (see picture)
Other: Both his ears are pierced with a ruby stud, underneath all his clothing he has many scars covering his body from the many wounds he has received over his lifetime.
Personality:
Serious yet calm is one way to describe Hunter. He never loses his cool which actually makes him more intimidating. No one ever knows what he is thinking as his expression usually stays blank. Especially on the job.

In person he is rather charming and charismatic, he gets along well with the royal family and most other lords. He knows when to keep quiet and will usually stay quiet until he finds it necessary to speak up. His voice is quite deep and his accent is posh. A lot of people who meet him for the first time assume he is a pompous and stuck up knight.

Although Hunter tries to remain serious he does have some small quirks about him. Hunter is a little OCD. He is very, very finicky about straight lines... every line must be perfect, his soldiers have to line up in the most perfect lines or he makes them do ten laps of the battle course, pencils must be straight on desks, etc. His OCD is well know but nobody brings it up in front of him. He also gets embarrassed easily, often folding his arms and averting his gaze from whoever is making him feel uncomfortable.

In battle Hunter is fierce. He can take out enemies easily, going into battle with precise calculations and subtle strategies, usually giving him and his army of men the advantage. He can slice through a man with little care. War is no place for caring.

Weapon:
(See Picture in appearance.)
Hunter uses a long silver sword with a dragon engraved into the blade, he has named it Orenmir. It's light yet strong and is the only one of it's kind. The handle is said to be carved from dragon bone. In the hilt is a red fire ruby Hunter found when he was 10. It allows him to control flames turning his sword into a magic-sword.

Abilities:
Strength - Hunter has great strength. He can cut through an enemies bones with one swing of his sword and in a fist fight he can easily knock an enemy out cold.

Agility - Speed is required on the battlefield. Being able to get more hits in than your enemy is a great advantage. Unfortunately Hunter's low stamina means he tires easily.

Battle Cry - In the heat of battle Hunter will let out a cry of encouragement upping the attack and speed of his entire platoon including himself. This lasts for 10 minutes before his cry wears off.

Magic:
Being human Hunter has no magical control. That was until he found an antique ruby in the pocket of a Nobel man. The Ruby held the power of fire and has been Hunter's signature element since.

Flame of the dragon
- The flame ruby covers the blade of the sword in flames.

Flaming Bullets - The sword must be held like a gun, the ruby sends a shock wave of flames through the blade which get shot out the tip as large fire balls.

The ruby's power is infinite but it is weak compared to the magic of an elf or Ranashi.

Skills/talents:
Strategy - Hunter is a strategic battler and has trained his mind to think strategically. This helps him find an enemies weakness faster than most.

Intimidation - Hunter is very intimidating, mostly to other knights. His serious demeanour commands respect and he usually gets it. It doesn't seem to work with women however.

Charisma - Hunter is very charismatic and can talk his way into getting almost anything he wants.

Sewing - Not something anyone would expect a Military man to know but Hunter is a really, really good sewer.

History:
Hunter was an orphan at 3. His Mother passed away from an illness and he'd never known his father. Hunter was taken in by an old man who took orphans and used them to make money on the street. He was forced to grow up fast and lived this life until he was 10, pickpocketing and busking in the streets of Aina.

One of his most successful pickpockets was when he'd managed to pull a strange red ruby from a wealthy man's pocket. Hunter had decided to keep this particular object for himself. He had no clue it would be a powerful and magical artefact.

Eventually the old man was arrested for kidnapping and other various offences and the children were taken from him and placed in boarding schools specifically for training soldiers. There was no use for older orphans that no one wanted, the best thing to do would be to train them as soldiers.

Although never wielding a sword in his life Hunter found that he was quite gifted with a blade and strategies came easy to him. His adult attitude at such a young age was well liked by his teachers and he become their favourite student and was quickly passed in each class and year.

At the age of 20 a war had broken out between Aina and a neighbouring state over land. The young soldiers were sent to battle first to defend their comrades. Little did they know they were really just fodder and the Head of the Military Force at the time knew they wouldn't stand a chance.

The boys were sent into battle with Hunter as their leader. Hunter had come up with a strategy to get them around the first assault and capture the enemy commander. It worked and his entire platoon survived, capturing the commander and ending the war within a year.

He was praised for his efforts and was given a badge of honour and made a knight of the kingdom. From there he only went up. He had a sword created for him where he had his red ruby memento encased in the handle.

At age 30 he was finally made Head of Military Forces when the current one retired of old age. He was told he was the best fit and that his services to the kingdom were greatly appreciated and he is still in that position 'til this day.

Alright, both of them are yours. Also, Diar has claimed the eldest healer via Skype, so that is now occupied.

Great Healer (Middle) Bio - Finished

Name: Saylar Myrias
Gender: Male
Age: 30
Race: Elf
Occupation: Great Healer
Alignment: Good
Appearance:
salan_by_egosun.jpg

Eye Shape/Colour: Saylar's eyes are pointed and elf like. They look slightly sorrowful though rather than mischievous like most elves. His eyes are a sky blue colour.
Hair Style/Colour: Long thin silver hair tied in a black ribbon to form a pony tail that goes down to his lower back. The front he leaves loose around his face.
Skin Tone: Very pale. Saylar tends to avoid the sun as he gets sunburnt easily.
Body type: Saylar is very thin and fragile looking. He does not fight in battles as he is a Healer therefore he has hardly any muscle tone.

Weight: 70kg
Height: 6 foot 2
Clothing: (See Picture) Saylar does prefer to wear blue clothes over any other colour.

Other: Small pointed ears.
Personality:
Saylar's is a very quiet and shy man. He is often found with his nose buried in a thick history book at the grand library. He enjoys learning about history and knows a lot about the past of Aina. Unfortunately a lot of people find him boring and don't often take the time to talk to him.

Confidence is not one of the elf's strong points and he often takes criticism with a simple bow of the head, then he will go back to his room and mull over his flaws.

Luckily for him all his studying has paid off and he is now the second best healer in all of Aina, his selflessness means he will put the health and safety of others before himself. He often thinks he is worthless therefore it's ok to sacrifice himself to get to a wounded soldier in the middle of battle.

Saylar talks with a lisp which he is not proud of. Many times his parents have sent him to correctional doctors who've resorted to unconventional magic to try to correct his speech impediment but it hasn't worked.

Once you get to know him he is actually quite endearing. His quiet personality and tendency to shy away from people is just hiding his pure heart.

Abilities:
Saylar does not participate in many battles. He focus's on healing magic only and does not have any use for abilities outside his magical ones.

Magic:
Healing magic is Saylar's forte. He is able to heal minor wounds with ease and can repair internal organs and bones, this takes a lot more effort and he finds doing this too much starts to take a toll on his body. He is still learning to heal magical wounds and bringing someone back from the brink of death.

Skills/Talents:
Alchemy - Saylar is able to concoct special potions from different ingredients to create healing potions. He usually bottles them up and distributes them amongst the knights.

Cooking - Because he is so good at Alchemy, cooking came naturally. His favourite things to cook are cakes.

Spying - Being a quiet shy guy has it's advantages. He finds he is able to slink about unnoticed and often finds himself listening in on things he shouldn't.

History:
Saylar was the oldest and only son of a farming family. He had five sisters who he loved dearly. His father had tried with all his might to have Saylar follow in their families foot steps and take over the farm but Saylar had no interest in it.

Instead he found he was drawn to books of magic and healing. Ashamed of his son and his 'queer' hobbies Saylar's father sent him to magic doctors who performed all kinds of tests on him from correcting his lisp to trying to brain wash him into forgetting about his love of books. Nothing worked and eventually his father and mother grew tired of their 'useless' boy.

On his 16th birthday the elf boy was banished from his household, and told to never come back. He was lost and alone in a world so big, he had no way of defending himself and didn't know where to go.

He began walking south, living in caves at night and continuing on his journey in the day. Once day on his travels he came across an upturned carriage with a group of travellers laying wounded around it.

This was when Saylar found his natural talent for Healing. He rushed up to the group of three, placing his palms over them, he didn't know what he was doing but his body told him this was right. Then a pulse of green light emitted from him and the traveller was awake. Saylar healed the last two and they were so grateful they offered him a ride to Aina.

Saylar then established himself at Aina and attended a school for the magically gifted. He was not popular because of his way of talking and how shy he was but that didn't stop him from being top of his class for healing and was recommended to take a spot amongst the Great Healers. He was 20 at this time.

Present day and Saylar has moved up a rank and is now the second best healer in Aina. He lives in a small neat cottage besides the castle and practices his magic daily so he may become the best.

Just to point this out, Great Healers are in NO way battle apt AT ALL. Since they can just heal wounds on command...that's a bit unfair. Anyway, accepted, Squid.

:hmmm: I don't think I wrote anywhere that he actually participated in battles. I just meant they had him there to heal wounded soldiers, not to actually get in on the fights.

Sorry for not getting my character up in time. My computer got a virus hijacking my internet 0________0. I'll try and get rid of it asap so I can submit him.

Well anyway, I have finished my two bios.

Let me know if you want me to fix anything, or if something doesn't make sense :)

Can't wait to get started <3

Oh I know you said he wasn't battle-skilled, I was just sayin. I'm tired though, I'll read your bio tomorrow morning.

A few questions as well:

Is there only one Temple Knight, or are the Temple Knights themselves an 'organization'/'order'/'something'?

I assume Temple Knights are under the Head of Military Forces as well, right?

i would kill to get that spot if there is more than one, but i thinnk its only one.

I mean, he/she is meant to be special and unique right?
