The Paths of Tragedy

OOC: Regardless of editing, I will still assume the door will be "blowed in" and the thing that you 'say' will be the same)
NOTE, Cairn's sword will still work, even thought magics will not.
I refer to my POST explaining the gem.
--------------------------

Alumar had almost given up hope, and was looking forward to Liandra's return.
he pictured the memories of the Liandra he knew over 1600 years ago.
Those where the times, until the day she died. Alumar still blamed himself or not stopping the fight. Though, the past is the past. He should not linger in it. As it can break many men.

Some sounds where heard from the door, and the guard went to investigate.
Suddenly, the door was blasted open, in what seemed like a fire natured attack. Was this his Saviour? Alumar had his hopes up higher then a mortal should.
The guard tried to intercept the one responsible for this, but wound up literally in the bars, with an open chest.

A clear knight, or perhaps a paladin, person entered. His aura reaked of command, and honor. He had to be one of the few ones left that had such a presence.

"I am Cairn....I suppose I was sent here to help you..." He stated, as Alumar's eyes where glittering in joy. He was saved.
Though, celebrations had to come later. Alumar forced himself on his feat, and walked over to the bars.

"I thank you for my rescue, Sir Cairn. I have 3 things to ask of you, then we will feast in celebration." Alumar stated, as he showed 3 fingers.

"Spring me from here, if you have an energy potion that would be nice. And let me return a 'favor' as you await outside." he asked of Cairn. As he mentioned the word 'favor' his eyes showed the thirst for the revenge he was entitled for. And the clear meaning of the meaning of Favor in this context.

Alumar took a few steps away from the bent bars, it was just not enough for him to exit.
"Oh, one more thing, there is a yellow glowing gem in a box in the cupboard there. Mind shattering it for me" he grinned as he awaited the bars to come off, or the gem to fall
Either way, he could basically take it from there.

He could already taste the food and whine. Shared among himself and his saviour.

(Sorry Hera :P)
"I'll get you out of here..."

As soon as Cairn approached Alumar's prison cell, an intense and violent burst of energy was inexplicably released and sent straight to Cairn's breastplate. The shock pushed Cairn of his balance and sent him flying away, landing back against the hard stone floor. "What the hell? An invisible force field?! But here? and why?" Cairn could not believe what he had before him, an invisible force field in such a place, and more importantly, to guard a prisoner. Alumar, Cairn presumed, could be either a very important person, or a really dangerous criminal. Either way, Cairn gave his word, and he had in mind releasing him.

Just as Cairn was getting up, Hera Ledro and his companions arrived to the underground prison. Cairn quickly rose back on his feet, still a little sore due to the shock he had received, but fine enough to walk by himself, or even hold a fight against anyone.

"Hi Hera, it seems you found me. Sorry for my abrupt disappearance, but I had issues in need of being solved."

Cairn then set his eyes on the gem placed strategically on a small, antique cupboard. The stone seemed to be radiating with immense power, almost as if it were sustaining some sort of mechanism, perhaps, the force field. "Oh the jewel..." Cairn the approached the cupboard, grasped his sword with both hands and subsequently brought his mighty blade down upon the gem, shattering both the magical stone and the cupboard. A burst of energy came out after the gem exploded, and as a consequence of the gem being destroyed, the force field started to fall until it finally disappeared.

Cairn sighed, he sheathed his blade back on his back, and then stared at the scattered pieces of the gem. "Too bad....it looked like a nice souvenir..."

Hera shook his head. "No need to be sorry; your business is your own." Hera turned a wary eye to the prisoner, and received a mental shock. This was a powerful warrior, without any question in the matter. Yes, his physical demeanour was less than impressive, but Hera could feel energy coming from this man. It was obviously contained by something, for it seemed as though the man would have no trouble breaking out under normal circumstances.

As this thought crossed Hera's mind, his eyes travelled with Cairn's to a gem sitting on a cupboard. The Allsie narrowed his eyes at the gemstone; it was a particularly powerful magical artifact, and was obviously the reason there was a barrier between them and the prison cell.

Hera had no objections, then, when Cairn destroyed the gemstone with a swing of his blade. Felldoh made an audible gasp, covering his eyes with Jake and Hera. The latter two had experienced these things before, but Felldoh had not, so it came as no surprise when his mouth hung open after the gem's destruction.

Its remains lay shattered with the now-destroyed cupboard. The yellow shards reflected what little light there was onto the walls. Felldoh, as composed as he wished he were, couldn't help but gape at the destroyed jewel.

Hera, however, was concerned with the effects he was feeling. Immediately, it felt as though a weight had been lifted from his shoulders. Though he hadn't noticed it for the few moments they were in the manor, Hera's link to his elemental abilities had been severed. Now it had returned, and Hera found himself experimenting with fire in his palm (once again, much to a naive Felldoh's silent pleasure).

With a quick wave of his hand, Hera sent the fireball towards the door, blasting it backwards in a bright blaze. Even if that man were behind the door, Hera could tell that he would be uninjured.

Or so he hoped.

Alumar grinned slightly as the gems power lost grip. And his own returned.
This knight, had saved him, and Alumar had not planned to let that go unnoticed. As Cairn had taken down the gem, a blue furred creature entered. He did not look from this world, though, without draining his energy to use Detect Life, Alumar could not be certain. He chose to savor his energy for his revenge.

Alumar lifted his right hand, and aimed its palm towards the prison gate. In a heartbeat, the gate was sent flying into the opposing wall. Alumar widened his stance slightly. He did not have too much energy left, he worked mainly on adrenaline as of now.

Alumar exited the cell, for the first time at his own accord. He turned towards Cairn. "Thank you for destroying the gem.-" he started with a slight bowing nod wit his head. "As I stated; I'd be glad to throw a feast for you in a short while." he now smiled. "If you could mention the name of a suitable Inn, I can meet you there as I have some 'business' to attend' to first."

As Rene charged ever closer to Damian, Damian raised his staff to the air with almost no sense of worry over the current situation. "Well then, I guess I'll end this quickly... Lets turn the heat up a notch". Damian started gathering his magical energy into the red gemstone on his staff until it started glowing a ruby-red aura. "Divine flames, I summon you from the depths of the earth, come forth and banish my foe to the land of the dead... Flame fountain!"

As Damian finished his chant, large and thick flames erupted from his staff in all directions, Damian remained still while the flames engulfed the arena and it was now clear that Damian was going to end this quickly. At this stage he had no choice as the spell had slightly weakened him. The only area of no flames was the small space where Damian stood, almost unfazed by the flames.

Rene smiled, last time he had faced this spell was against a very young mage with a lot of talent. Pity, the spell had completely drained him.

Rene dodged one of the flames and spun in mid air. He rolled along the ground and pulled his gun out. He fired at Damien knowing that if he moved he would be hurt by his own spell, unless of course he dis-spelled it leaving him open for a regular attack. Rene jumped forward, following his own bullets.

Be killed by bullets, be hurt by flames or lose by blade. Your choice my friend. Rene thought to himself

"No need to mention it. I will be at the Colosseum, waiting for my match to begin" Cairn turned away from the destroyed prison cell and sighed. "Well, we don't need to stay here any longer, let's go" The aged knight walked away with a slow pace, straight to the stairs leading to the upper level. As he emerged from the secret underground prison, Cairn newly found himself at the main hall, the exit lied just before him. He had completed his mission, and he knew his match would begin anytime soon, so his main priority now was to return to the Colosseum at once. Though he wanted to leave, he couldn't just go and leave Hera and the others behind, so he decided to wait outside the old manor, and await for them there.

As Cairn stated that he'd be at the coliseum, Alumar made a mental note that he should go there after.

(((OOC: I assume you are all gone now. Even though Hera haven't technically left yet )))

Alumar looked to his right, there was a small corridor there, and thought it peeked a scared Gorgack.
Alumar's energy levels rose, accordingly to his adrenaline levels rising in anticipation of what where ahead. Gorgack forced himself in a corder, covering his face in regret.

Alumar looked at Gorgack, with plenty of anger in his normally white eyes.
“Since the gem is gone, I can use all my powers” Alumar grinned.
He walked closer, as Gorgack cowered in the corner.
Alumar stretched out his scarred left arm, and lifted it slightly. Gorgack, in all his fear, lifted from the ground. Not much, just a meter or so.
Alumar’s right hand came open towards him, sending out a semi transparent orb, sending Gorgack directly in a stone wall. As his body slammed into the wall, he coughed up a small amount of blood.
His terror heightened as he opened his eyes, and realized that he was in the torture room.
Alumar came walking slowly through the dark, damp corridor, the steps of his bare feet echoing across the walls.
His eyes seeming to glow in the darkness, and his grin send shivers down a mans spine

“Now… It is my turn” Alumar stated in a low, deep tone.
Gorgack forced himself on his feet, and started to try and buy his life.
“I will give you whatever you want. Money, items, a house, Lives even” his voice where trembling, and tears had started flowing.
“All those days with torture-” Alumar started as he walked closer. “After all those hours of pain and anguish, you speak to me about money, about life. This is what I meant that humans often where scum.” Alumar had picked up a dagger from a nearby table.
“There are but a handful of true warriors, true and honorable beings left.” He stated, seeming almost inspired.
But as he again looked at Gorgack, he completed his sentence. “But you are not one of them”

Alumar lifted Gorgack’s left hand, and forced the dagger through, in a slow speed, the skin ripping, rather then being cut, as the dagger was not that sharp.
Gorgack screamed out in pain, and managed to wrench himself away from Alumar, blood dripping on the stone floor.

“You think that is good enough to escape me?” Alumar asked, as Gorgack started to again hover.
“Oh no, I will repay all those weeks or months of torture, rest assured” Alumar explained, as he took a small hammer off the wall.

Alumar sent Gorgack towards to the torture table, and slammed him on it. The impact made him cough up a slight amount of blood.
Grabbing the knife, with the hand still pierced, he drove the dagger onto the thick wooden table, making Gorgack scream yet again in pain as the blood started to run down his hand.
“We have just begun” He stated, looking deep in Gorgack’s watery eyes.

He walked over to the table, surveying the various items he could use.
Gorgack panic driven, trying to take out the dagger from the table. With the large hand guard on the dagger, he could not just ‘slide it though’, and it was too securely fastened to the table, to be just ‘pulled out’.

“These will do” Alumar stated, as he grabbed some pointy objects.
Alumar laid them on the table that Gorgack was on, and grabbed his other hand.
He placed a large nail-looking object on his palm, it looked rather rusty from the time lying here not maintained. And slammed it with the hammer, blood was sent flying in various directions, and started flowing in a small, but steady, flow down his arm, and on the table itself.
Gorgack screamed out in pain, again trying to buy his life.
Alumar ignored his pleads, and drove another dagger through one of his feet. Gorgack’s scream could be heard echoing through the entire dungeon.
As he made ready the last nail, Gorgack started, “but what about your goodness, you’re supposed to be one for the people. What about you’re Honor”

Alumar twitched “You dare speak of honor!?!” He screamed just before he drove the last nail in. “You will not die, rest assured.” His eyes showed the deep feelings of revenge that had been building up over the last month, or so.

Alumar walked out of Gorgack’s field of vision.
“Y..You will not kill me?” Gorgack managed to force out.
“No, you will live as I am done with you, but it will be a life that is worthy of your being” Alumar stated, as he returned with a red hot glowing piece of metal glowing a sinister red.
He forced open Gorgack’s left eye, and slowly pierced the tortured man's eye. Gorgack screamed in pain, his body seizing and convulsing, but it only served to propel Alumar on. Ever so slowly, the blade pushed down, the blood pouring out and instantly vaporizing in a red mist as it touched the hot metal. In a moment, or an eternity for Gorgack, the eye boiled and exploded, showering the body with optical innards and gory blood.
Alumar laid his right hand, on Gorgack’s right foot, as he smiled. A second of mumbling and Gorgack was in instant pain. Alumar had summoned some flesh eating larva, inside his right foot. That slowly began to eat themselves through, seeking light.
Gorgack screamed as loud as his lungs could manage, several blood veins bursted and he was about to fall unconscious from the pain.

Alumar threw a bucket of old, smelly water in his face. Though, Alumar was not entirely certain it was water at all. “Oh no you don’t-” Alumar grinned “There is no way in hell you are getting away that easily”

Suddenly, a grotesque sound was heard, the larvae had made through most of his leg; and had just exited the skin. As the last larvae had eaten through his right foot, they where simply thrown away.
Alumar, again walked over to the table, “This will do” he muttered.
He came back with a glass bottle of acid, and grinned as he slowly poured the substance over his genital area. Gorgack was screaming what his lungs could muster, as his clothes had already vaporized. The pain became worse, as the acid began on his body; slowly the skin seemed to steam away, and shortly after, the next layer was vaporizing.

Alumar leaned, supported his elbow on the table that Gorgack was on. “So you feel good yet? I mean, you torture people a lot. I hear their screams all the time.” Alumar lifted himself off the table, again standing beside him “WELCOME TO OUR FUCKING WORLD!!” Alumar screamed as he drove his fist into his ribs, cracking 2 of them.

Gorgack let out a muffled scream; after all, broken ribs can tend to make it hard to breathe.
Alumar grabbed hold on a sharp blade, and started peeling off the eyelid of Gorgack’s right eye; the blood was running over his eye and making everything seem like a reddish color. Again Gorgack screamed to the magnitude that one could hear it from the outside. His broken ribs did not make it better.
As Gorgack where squirming in pain, Alumar strapped his head to the table as well, with the leather strap that was made for it.
After the eye lid was halfway peeled, Alumar continued around other places of his face, Gorgack screaming out more, and more for each time, as the blood started to flow in a slow manor from each wound.
Alumar placed the small blade, firmly in Gorgack’s right lower arm, as it pierced the skin; it must have ‘slid off’ the bone, as the movement of the blade, and Gorgack’s reaction seemed to support that idea.
He then grabbed hold of his right leg, and used a concentrated version of the ‘Energy Blast’ pulverizing the bones, beyond repair.
“Oh, that’s a shame. I guess we have to amputate” He stated, as he went and got a rusty, saw toothed blade. Gorgack tried to stop him, but he was hardly in a position of power.
Alumar grabbed hold of his left leg, and started cutting.
He cut one way; let the blood run as he waited, then the other way. The pause was to maximize the pain.
After the bone and the rest of the leg had been cut, he burned the wound together with a red hot glowing piece of iron, which was found lying in the fire in the corner.
“We don’t want you to bleed to death” he stated as he threw the glowing edge, landing on his fastened left foot. During all this, Gorgack screamed his lungs worth.

This was some of the things he did; the whole ordeal went on for roughly an hour.

As he deemed himself done, he walked back towards the shower area, the one for the guards off course. Leaving Gorgack in his pitiful state
A short shower after, using plenty of soap that burned like fuck in his wounds, he now smelled more like a normal human.
After the shower, he walked towards the cell, passing Gorgack for one last time. "Come near me again, and I will not be as nice" he grinned, as he left the room.

As he got to his cell, he opened the chest, and grabbed his items.
His underwear, pants, t-shirt followed by the vest, his boots and in the end the leather cape.
In the bottom of the chest, lied his ring.
He grabbed it, and put it back on his finger, looking at its shine.
His eyes started to water, as he again grabbed his straw hat. “Liandra…” he whispered to himself as he put it on.

As his revenge was complete, he walked towards the exit. Aiming towards the Arena. To meet his savior.
He took out an energy potion he had made himself ages ago, from his cape. ((deep pockets)) And drank it.
He felt revitalized, his energy recharged almost to max. The down side was a slight headache. "I really have got to work out the drawbacks on that potion" he mumbled to himself, as he was nearing the exit.

(OOC: I assume you won't use Gorgack anymore, right? If so let me do something. If you feel is incorrect, contact me and I'll delete this post)))
Several minutes later, and still no signs of Hera Ledro. Cairn grew restless, but as time passed he suddenly heard the echoing screams coming straight from the old manor. Cairn's attention was instantly drawn to the door leading inside the mansion, as he quickly turned to face it. Curiosity lead his determination to go back inside the manor, so he made haste and entered the building as fast as he could. Sensing that the screams came from the torture room below, Cairn went downstairs and arrived to the old prison where he had found Alumar a few hours ago.

As he surveyed his surroundings, Cairn could not avoid sighting a trail of blood leading to what it seemed to be a torture room. In there, he caught a glimpse of the horror that could only be born out of hatred and human nature, or at least, he thought so. There Gorgack lied on the iron table, brutally mutilated, covered in blood and dirt. Maggots were crawling both inside and outside Gorgack's right foot. Cairn's eyes widened due to the impression, after all, he had only seen this kind of cruelty during the days of the past war against the imperial forces.

The aged man lowered his sight and started to pray for Gorgack's soul, thinking that he got what he deserved. Still, he was a human being in agony, and knowing he wouldn't last for more than a few days due to the infection on his wounds, Cairn opted to make an act of mercy towards him. Without opening his eyes, Cairn reached the hilt of his sword with his right hand and slowly unsheathed it. Gorgack stared at Cairn, tears flowing from the only eye he had left, that eye seemed as if it were begging to be released from this nightmare.

"Dear God, forgive me for what I'm about to do, for I can't allow this torture to continue anymore. If I must face trial to answer for this death, then I will face your judgment."

Cairn then rose his blade and grasped the hilt with both hands and, as he let an echoing battle cry, the aged man brought his blade down on Gorgack's neck and sliced through it, decapitating the tortured man. Cairn sighed, as he cleaned his sword and sheathed it again.

The aged man turned his back on Gorgack's corpse, let out a single prayer, and then walked away once again, heading straight to the exit. He did not wanted to stay here any longer, the only thing he wanted was for his battle to begin as soon as possible. Once again, Cairn found himself outside of the mansion, though this time was different, for he had seen horror and cruelty once again.

"I suppose you still believe humanity deserves to be protected?" Testament asked the aged knight from his perch on the old mansion, his voice dripping with irony. "I didn't see the brutality first hand as you apparently did," he continued, scowling and staring down at the knight, "but the screams were enough to tip me off." Testament leapt from the roof and landed lighly next to the aged warrior. "I checked the roster before following you here. Your name is Cairn, right? Pity we don't have time before your match to have one of our own." After taking a few steps toward the arena, Testament looked back over his shoulder at Cairn. "But know this. After this tournament concludes, I will crush you and everything you stand for." Without another word, Testament began walking to the colisseum, his cynicism toward humans revitalized and in full swing.

"I suppose you still believe humanity deserves to be protected?" Testament asked the aged knight from his perch on the old mansion, his voice dripping with irony.
Cairn's rage was suddenly triggered by what it seemed to be Testament's voice. The aged knight felt the mocking tone in which Testament was addressing to him, and quickly he turned around to meet him eye to eye.
"There are still things in this world that are worth fighting for!" He firmly sealed his lips, giving a cold and scornful look to Testament.

Cairn's eyes were fixed on the Testament who was leaving towards the Colosseum. Meanwhile the aged man remained, in the middle of the woods, and was left alone and enraged. He tightened his fists and teeth, the blood pumped through his veins like a wild firestorm. Cairn closed his eyes and stamped the soft soil with iron boots. Then he sighed, calming himself for an instant. "Bastard...the next time we meet, I'll show you how wrong you are...I swear it..." Cairn told to himself as he stared at the path Testament has taken.

Hera walked out of the building, Jake and Felldoh by his side, only to find Brome standing behind a bush and staring at Cairn, who was arguing with a man. Felldoh rushed over to his petrified friend, and stared at the two.

Hera Ledro stood rooted to the spot, glaring at the man who emulated his own feelings for humanity, though in the extreme. As soon as the man had left, Hera moved forward to Cairn. The being who he had been arguing with was not a creature to be toyed with, but Hera's anger was obviously nothing to Cairn's. As Hera approached the stationary man, Cairn muttered, "Bastard...the next time we meet, I'll show you how wrong you are...I swear it..."

"Ignore him," Hera said, voice dripping with barely-controlled rage. "Even if he's right about humans, he has no right to oppress them with such a foul tongue." He turned to Jake, Felldoh, and Brome, who had just come out from behind the bush. Tremor's were racking Brome's figure, and he was being supported by both Jake and Felldoh. Hera frowned and walked over, kneeling down to meet the mouse eye-to-eye.

"You alright, Brome?" Hera asked. Brome was shivering too hard to answer, so Felldoh did it for him.

"It was the screams from the manor, and then that man." Felldoh seemed as though he, too, were barely in control of his anger. "That man's voice was filled with such contempt that Brome was afraid."

Hera nodded. "Don't worry, Brome, you did the right thing. Even if you had fought, you would have lost, and we would have lost a friend to the Dark Forest."

Brome's eyes darted straight into Hera's. The Allsie had inadvertently read Brome's mind. The mouse took a deep breath and stopped shivering. Hera nodded approvingly, taking a mental note of Brome's strong heart.

The Allsie turned back to Cairn. "We should get back to the coliseum; I wouldn't want to miss our match."

"I guess you are right, let's go..." Cairn managed to get a hold of himself and regain control of his emotions, the anger began drop down as he sighed. Cairn had realized how meaningless was to care for someone so narrow minded as Testament, but that didn't meant he wouldn't keep his oath. Cairn had promised himself a fight against him, after the tournament of course. "You sure are one of a kind Hera Ledro, the wisest being I've ever met..." Cairn said shortly before noticing that there was nothing left for them here, so he decided to leave this place as well, and so he walked back towards the Colosseum, hoping he hadn't missed his match with Hera Ledro, for an absence would be considered as forfeiting.

After a while, Cairn arrived once again to the Great Hall of the Colosseum, and heard that the battle that began several hours ago has not ended yet. Although impatient, Cairn thought prudent to use this free time to rest and prepare himself, both mentally and physically, for his battle against Hera Ledro.

As Skaol watched the arena floor burst into flames from the mage's spell, he absentmindedly rubbed the back of his head as if to remind himself his hair was still there. Ever since the catastrophe with Wylliam, Skaol would become very uneasy should a fire spell be cast anywhere in his line of sight. As he mentally shook the memory from his mind, he noticed a scholarly looking man carrying a violin case walk into the stands looking for a seat. As Skaol watched the effeminate man, he was struck with a sudden feeling of compassion for him. He couldn't explain it, but he felt pity for him. He was about to draw the man's attention to the empty seat beside him when Wylliam jumped up and waved at the man. "Hey! you need a seat? My friends have gone somewhere, so you can have theirs. At least, until the next match." The man seemed to consider it for a moment with a scowl before accepting Wylliam's offer with a shrug, sitting where Cairn had sat earlier. Wylliam turned and grinned at the man. "Well, you're certainly fashionably dressed. You probably can't tell because of the armor, but I'm rather the clothing connoisseur myself." The man glared at Wylliam. "Listen, if it's all the same to you, I'm going to watch the two fighters down there beat the living crap out of each other. So please stop talking." Wylliam looked taken aback for a moment before resuming his grin. "Aw, but it's just a mage. My name's Wylliam, what's yours?" he asked tenaciously. However, the man simply ignored him and stared straight ahead at the fight. Wylliam shrugged and joined in the observation of the fight. Skaol had to struggle to resist laughing.

OOC: Julius, Im ok with you mercy killing Gorgack. But I somewhat see a small error here. Alumar passed Gorgack ALIVE as Alumar exited. Without meeting Alumar, how can Cairn kill Gorgack? ^^
Im ok with ignoring this, but I felt like mentioning it.
---------------------------------------------------------------

Jonad

As Hera left, and Felldoh followed. Jonad was alone with the unconscious patient. The one with the weird eye piece.
He could do little but wait, and watch the next match. Getting as much info on the wounds as possible, until he had to heal one, or both, of them.
He sighed to himself, as he watched the 2 combatants.
----------------

Soris

As Damian was battling, Soris noted the heightened faith Damian had gotten towards himself. He was more sure about his abilities. He smiled to himself. "Good he has gotten better" It was a slight mock towards Damian, but nothing that should be taken honestly. And the fact that Soris thought it, and not stated it, made it somewhat hard for others to hear it.

Soris wanted to satisfy his curiosity by loafing around town, but his former caretaker was fighting an arena match. Soris also wanted to watch this.
In all dilemmas, he ended up watching more of the fight, hoping that Damian would not be too hurt.
----------------

Alumar

As Alumar headed towards the town, he had 2 main objectives.
One was to get some decent food, the other was to meet up with Cairn at the Arena.

The arena was not hard to miss, considering the fact that half of the town was there, shouting their lungs worth. So Alumar decided to get some food in his body.
As he took one last check, his body was clean, and smelled as a normal person did. "Good, no smell of rot. That was a good soap they had there" Alumar thought to hismelf with a smile, as he headed towards the nearest fast-food store.
He entered, and ordered up a few servings. Not enough to really fill him, nor the wine he had dreamed about, that would come at the celebration later.

The food was served and payed. And devoured within mere seconds. The clerk mentioned the old saying "you seem to eat like you haven't eaten in a month" Alumar grinned as it was in fact, right on the spot.

As the food was devoured, he walked towards the Arena, with a big smile on his face. Even as much as he would like to throw some random spells around, to get to using it again. He had to keep it to himself. After all, it would not be looked good upon if Alumar leveled a few blocks.
In a way, this made him overeager to a random bandit raid. He was acctually looking forward to it, if it happened. If it did, the possibility of their survival, would be relative to their speed in running away.

He reached the arena, and entered the main gate. He looked at a bulletin board, that was standing near the desk where the clerk normally was seated.
The first battle, was lined out. Considering the possibilities. The first fight seemed to be done. And the name of Felldoh, was encircled.
"So, Felldoh Won" Alumar muttered.

It seemed as Cairn would be fighting one Hera Lero in the next fight. So Alumar decided to witness the skills on his savior, and headed towards the tribune.

((Julius, I doubt that the match would still be going if it had proceeded for several hours. I wonder if we should have the host allow an intermission, and we will let FFGuy and Rene finish their battle. The intermission will take place after their battle. During this intermission, we will have gone to save Alumar and all that stuff. In this way, concepts of time between us, and FFGuy and Rene won't seem so out of whack.))

Hera flipped onto a handstand and leaned his feet against the wall of the coliseum's entrance hall. He promptly drew one hand behind his back, folding his wings and tail around him, and began to do one-handed push-ups. His face was set with concentration, despite the chatter going on around him.

He and the others had left as Cairn did, but instead of walking, flew back to the coliseum (much to Brome and Felldoh's chagrin). They immediately went to what Jake called the 'concession stands,' though it was hardly similar to a concession stand back on Earth. Instead it was a room with tables and chairs, more of a tavern than anything. Without hesitation, the group set to eating and drinking.

Felldoh and Brome supped on fish, as well as apple and cheese salad. It was a miracle that they finished their meals, though, since their mouths were gaping at the speed and ravenous nature to which Hera and Jake were eating.

The Allsie and human were gorging at the food like it was going out of fashion. It only took the two five minutes to finish a large bowl of salad EACH, before they ordered another one (both being vegetarians). By the time Felldoh and Brome were finished a single large bowl between them, Hera and Jake had more than ten large bowls of salad beneath each of them, and more than twenty pints of milk. Felldoh couldn't help thinking that it was fortunate the meals were free for contestants.

As Jake put down his final bowl of salad (the fifteenth, give or take), he had the audacity to belch out loud. Hera sent him a glare, to which Jake laughed. "Oh come on," he said, "Not all of us have weird digestive systems." Hera rolled his eyes and looked back at Brome and Felldoh.

The squirrel and mouse had but a single bowl empty, and were staring at Hera and Jake with something akin to amusement, but also bewilderment. "How could you eat that much?!" Brome exclaimed, staring at the bowls littering the floor and table.

Hera grinned. "We're warriors, we need our energy."

Not ten minutes had passed since that time, and Hera began working out with the aforementioned push-ups. He knew the value of storing your energy for a battle, but it would be foolish not to prepare for it and sit lazing about after a large meal like that.

After about fifty push-ups, Hera flipped back and sat down. He stared at Cairn, taking in his opponent. What moves would he make during the match? Hera would have to be careful with this one; he was a warrior of unpredictability.

OOC: This is my first post here so inform me if something isn't like I described.

IC:

A chariot arrived just outside of a village Baid. It was a merchant chariot, and a man, that was around fifties, hops from it. The man turns to the merchant that was riding the chariot.

"Thank you for riding me here."

As the man finished his sentence, he turns around towards the village and walks there. The merchant makes an angry expression because the man turned his back before he said anything. So merchant continued to ride on a chariot.
The man entered the village, it wasn't very crowded. He looks around to find any kind of tavern, he wanted to drink a cup of tea before he continues his journey. In awhile he notices a tavern, so he starts walking there. As he entered, he sees the tavern had people in it, but not too many.
As he was walking to the counter, the people around him where looking at him. Well, they looked more at his clothing, changshan. He could also hear some of them whispering...

"Could that be a shaolin?" "He looks like a shaolin."

But the man ignored all of that and sits on the counter. The barkeep approaches him and asks him...

"What do you want to order, stranger?"

The man first searches his right pocket with his hand and drags two coins. He puts them on the counter and says...

"I would like a black tea. And please, call me Karne."

Rene thought to himself

ooc: Shouldn't you be getting burned to death by the flames? :P

ic:

"Hmph, what a poor display this is... Guess I'll end this battle now..." Damian placed his index and middle finger together and then pointed them towards Rene who was now preparing to fire at him. "I call forth the elemental property of electricity, hear my call and heed my call! Thunder zap!" As Damian finished his chant the bullets were fired and just as they were about to strike him electricity erupted from his fingers and destroyed two of the three bullets, one however avoided destruction and penetrated his upper left side of his torso. A small explosion showed evidence of the remaining bullet's destruction as Rene charged towards him with his blade. Although his time was shortened as he began to lose blood rapidly he managed to pull himself up to his feet as Rene rapidly approached and with what little time he had left his body kicked into overdrive as his adrenaline and willpower came heavily into play. With a second zap of lightning he struck the blade, the force should be sufficient enough to knock him back and possibly bring a swift end to this fight, the flames should aid in swiftly sapping his strength while he deals the fatal blow.

The barkeep turns to his right and walks 3 steps to the stove. He grabs a jar, that was on table next to stove, and opens them to look inside. He did that for five jars. Then he turns to Karne and says to him...

"Sorry, but we lack ingredients for it."

Karne gasps on that. He was in a mood to drink a tea. He turns his head to look at the barkeep and asks him...

"Can you make a chamomile tea?"

Barkeep turns around and again checks the five jars. He turns to Karne, and this time he nods. He grabs the kettle, that was on the same table where jars were, grabs the pot with water, again on same table, and pours water in a kettle. He puts it on a stove, lights up the fire and puts chamomile leaves in kettle.
Then, as the tea was in making, he approaches Karne and asks him...

"So...Karne...You must be here for tournament in colosseum?"

Karne looks at the barkeep. A colosseum in a village? This was new to him. He then replies back to barkeep...

"I didn't knew there was a colosseum here, in a village."

"O, come on. Many fighters come here to test their skills there. You must hear for it."

Karne just looks at the barkeep, without replying. Barkeep makes a smile, but then he stops smiling.

"So you haven't heard for it!"

"No, I didn't. But that tournament sounds interesting. When does it begin?"

"It already began, but you can still sign up for competing."

"I will go there, as soon as I finish my tea."

The kettle made the noise that the tea is ready. Barkeep grabs the kettle, takes out a cup under the counter and pours the tea in it. He puts the tea in front of Karne.

"Thank you."

ooc: I thought you said the flames only covered a medium sized portion of the arena... not the entire arena o_O

"Aww shit..." Rene said to himself as his bullets were destroyed in a small explosion. Then all of a sudden his entire body was thrown backwards by a powerful force slamming him into a wall. He went into the wall by at least half a metre before he stopped. His entire body ached. He fell forward and landed flat on his face, but he didn't give up. He slowly and extremely painfully stood, he brushed the trickle of blood coming from his mouth and gave Damien a cheeky grin.

"That all you got?" He asked painfully. He readied his blade for one final stand, that attack must have at least drained some of Damiens energy, especially if he was still maintaining the flames.
