The Soul Spear

Yaldamar stands up from the chair a laughs silently.

''I think I know where she might be. What would you do if you woke up in unfamiliar place?''

Yaldamar walks and stops one meter from the exit and awaits a reply from either Jin or Jonad.

"Back to the the last familiar place" Jin replied, it was rather logical.
"You stay at an Inn, in the same town as em, without telling me?" Jonad asks somewhat disappointed.
"We'll take that later" Jin started "right now, lets see if Aria is there" He completed, as he followed Yaldy.
"I guess so" Jonad agreed, and followed Jin. "Ill bill you later for the healing service" Jonad smiled. he was a respected healer in the lands, so he often was hired as a healer, or a doctor.

"Not a chance" Jin replied "If so. You owe me a deal for saving your life" Jin smirked, and exited the door.
Jonad could do nothing, but smile, before following.

Yaldamar, Jin and Jonad exit the expensive tavern. They walked for few minutes till and they reached the tavern. The whisky that Yaldamar left there was gone, probably someone drank it.
All three of them went inside. As they were inside Yaldamar asks Jin...

''Room 2, was it?''

"Well, this was petty" Jonad laughed at Jin. Regarding the Inn's stature.
"Well. I'm not as well known as you.. At least not in the legal realm" he smirks.
"Well. that may be true. get a job as a blacksmith or something." Jonad laughs.

Jin sighs, and turns to yaldy.
"Yes, I think it was room 2"

the blacksmith idea was not a bad idea.
He had no problems with working metal to perfection. And he could bypass the wait time for the client.
He would have to think of this later on.

Right now. Jin and Jonad was following Yaldamar.

As they got upstairs and entered the room two, they saw something unexpected. They saw Aria and Steadler lying next to each other, although Aria's feet was next to Steadler's head and Steadler's feet were next to Aria's head.

''Well, thats a rare scene.''

He says that while scratching back of his unkempt hair. And he continues...

''Well we found her, she is good. Now we should find a place for us to crash for night'', looks at Aria and Steadler, ''And I don't wanna squeeze like they two.''

Jin sighed, and Jonad smiled.

"Well" Jin started "I guess they found the thing that they had in common"
"So. he is one of 2 souls as well?" Jonad asked, he catches on fast.

"yeah, I think so. Yaldy can fill you in later.... I need to rent another room" Jin sulked. "Unless" he continued, while looking at Jonad.

"Well." Jonad started. "I guess I can let you crash in my room. I have space enough" He stated the obvious, with a grin. "but you should leave a note, or something" Jonad continued

"Hmm. I guess" Jin replied, as he walked over to the table.
A feather pen, a piece of paper and inc. It was apparently included in the price.

Jin wrote a message.

"Aria.
Myself and Yaldamar, have been back here. And seeing you sleep, we thought that you should be allowed to do so.
We are crashing over at Jonad's place.
Jonad is the healer, and a good friend of mine.
We are staying at the Inn where you exited through the window.
Just ask for Jonad.

Signed
Jin"

On the same paper, was a poorly drawn map, as well as the name of the Inn.
He took the paper. As well as a marble out of his pocket.

He formed the marble into a crappy looking, but interesting blade, and used it to pin the note to the door. Where one can't miss it.

"Well. then, I guess that is that" Jin started. "now, off to sleep in a better room" he smiled, as he exited the room, heading for Jonad's room.

Jonad followed, as he thought of all the other similar times this have happened.

Again after few minutes they arrived at expensive tavern. It was around the midnight at the moment. Yaldamar yawns and says to Jin and Jonad...

''Well Jonad, you got the keys to your room. You lead.''

Yaldamar yawns again. He was completely exhausted. First the raid of Valactia, fighting the Wraith, horse-riding to Havlad, meeting up with Steadler again and meeting Aria's other soul.

Jonad jingled with the keys for a sec.
Then he went up the stairs, unlocked the door, and entered.

"I get the bed, since I'm paying" Jonad stated.
Jin agreed, he was sleepy as well.
he just walked over to a corner, and sat down on it.
"G'night" he muttered, and fell asleep.

"Well.. that was fast" Jonad muttered. as he closed the door after Yaldamar.

"Well. do as you like" he mentioned to Yaldamar, as he slammed himself down on the bed, not planning on taking off his clothes.
obliviously really tired.

''Alright then.''

Yaldamar comes to Jonads bed, grabs a pillow and pulls out the big blanket under Jonad (like when pulling the table cloth without anything falling). Then he sits in other corner, adjusts the pillow and sleeps.

Jonad was suddenly spun around.
Not too surprising, considering the fact that Yaldamar stole the blanket and pillow.

Jonad smiled, and let it go, he wasn't gonna use them anyway. And a friend of Jin, would deserve no less.

He untied the piece of cloth that twisted around

and lied down, and fell asleep.

The sun had begun to creep in through the windom when he woke. Steadler rolled off the edge of the bed. His feet ached and his back a little stiff. He groaned as he looked around the room, it was fairly run down. A note was stuck to the door with some sort of blade. He checked it out, that Jin guy had been back and they were staying at another inn. Jonad?
Steadler finally looked back at the girl .... What the hell is she wearing? he found asking himself.
He just stared at her a while.

Aria felt the sun's warmth on her face. She turned on her side to try and avoid it, but it still heated her neck till it began to sweat. The sun wouldn't allow her to rest anymore. She yawned and stretched out her arms. When she opened her eyes they were blurry. She rubbed the sleep away and sat up.

When she looked again, her sight was clear. Steadler was standing across the room, staring at her. She raised her eyebrows and felt a little silly.

"Uh... good morning..."

Aria lifted the blankets off her and let her feet slide out from under them. She sat on the edge and fussed with her hair.

"Did you sleep well?" She smiled awkwardly up at Steadler.

Steadler turned away feeling slightly confused. 'Ye-yes I slept great.' he mumbled.
His stomach grumbled. He laughed, 'you want breakfast?'
He turned to look at her again.
'Oh and you have a note ....' pointed.

Aria took the note. Jin had been there. So she had been in the inn with him. She had panicked yesterday and left to find Jin and Yal when they had been there. She cursed herself.

"Why didn't he wake me?!"

She stood up and grabbed Steadler's hand.

"We can eat at the other inn."

She pulled him out of the room and down the stairs. The bartender gave her a 'good riddance look' as she left out the door pulling Steadler behind her. She didn't let go of his hand as she sprinted towards the other tavern. She glanced at him to make sure her pace wasn't too fast.

"By the way... I've decided to go with you. I just need to talk to Jin and Yal first."

'Wait!' he shouts to her. 'I need to tell you something.'

He walked after her. 'I don't want them to know what I'm doing here, understand.'

He followed her.

Aria stopped. She turned to him and let go of his hand.

"Why?"

She didn't understand. Wasn't he Yaldamar's friend. Yal must have already known what Steadler was doing. Right? Maybe she had misunderstood their relationship.

'What I'm after is posibly one of the most dangerous things in this world, Aria.' he expained. 'And if someone like Yaldamar had it, or Jin seeing as he and Yaldamar are together. They could perform a lot of destruction.'

He walked up passed her. Damn! I don't have my knives.

'I don't really trust him.' he muttered, 'they have no idea. I'm not really like him .... I don't ...'

He stopped talking and began to walk, he pulled his hood over his head.

'Come on ....'

Aria looked at him as he walked ahead. She hadn't meant to upset him. It seemed she had been completely wrong about Steadler and Yal being close. She assumed to much.

She moved to catch up with him and this time didn't try to hurry. She wondered what he meant by his last few words. She thought better than to ask him now. Instead she offered him her regret.

"I'm sorry."

She walked silently behind him, thinking about everything. Aria thought about his other soul, wondered if it was as evil as her own twin. She thought about Jin and Yal. She trusted them. She considered them friends. Yal was rough, but he didn't seem all that terrible. Jin...Jin was amazing. He treated her well and ... her mind flashed to yesterday.

Her katana met clashed with his shield over and over again. Then she was trapped, she was angry. Then she spoke... Remember the name Kyara...

That was her name...Kyara. The entire scene played through. If it hadn't been for Jin, she probably would have killed many more people yesterday. She kept walking along side Steadler, contemplating what she would tell Jin and Yaldamar.

He barely heard the words, I'm sorry. he was thinking to hard.

Maybe I just can't accept people any more, unable to consider the best of people go past the bad stuff. I'm not here to make friends though, but she's in the same way as me .... but I wonder .... no it's silly. Thermesa say what you want to say now.

You do realise that you are leading her to the inn.

Your point?

Do you know were the inn is, what it looks like ..... no.

Oh right.

He laughed aloud. Then stopped and looked back at the girl. 'You know what I just realised? That I have absoluetely no idea where this inn is. Maybe you should lead.' he offered her to go farward, still laughing.

Aria smiled. She moved forward and lead the way. They reached the inn soon after and she walked through what she suspected was the front entrance. She had taken the window route before.

This inn was much nicer than the last. The bartender looked much friendlier. She didn't see Jin or Yal so she figured they must not be awake yet. She’d wait, after all she put them through yesterday they deserved the rest and much more. She took a seat at a table and a waitress walked over before Steadler had even joined her.

"What can I get for you young mistress."

Aria gave the women a skeptical look and shrugged.

"If there's some stew, I'd like a bowl. I'm sure my friend is hungry as well."

The woman followed her eyes until they fell upon Steadler.

"Would you like anything young sir?"
