The Soul Spear

They entered the door.
There where many different people in here.
some of the so called 'noble' stature.
and a few ruffians.

it was clear, due to the decorations, that this was a much more expensive Inn.

Jin looked around. But he wasn't there.
the 'feel' came from the 2nd story.

"EY!. Jonad, get down here!" Jin shouted.
A few seconds later, a man, in a hooded white robe came down. His hair was shoulder long, and completly white.
He had white eyes, with a thin black line around the irises. (the pupils still black)
At his side, hanged the Dagger Jin mentioned

"Jin.... what had you gotten yourself into now?" He smiled sarcastically.
"No time for a reunion now" jin started "We have a patient for you." He explained, while pointing behind himself. Onto the girl that the intimidating man was carrying.

"Fine, take her to my room" Jonad replied, as he went back up the stairs.

jin turned to yaldy.
"No fear now. Joad is an excellent healer"
As he completed his assuring, he went up th stairs himself

Yaldamar follows Jin and Jonad into a big room, ten times bigger then room where Steadler is lying. Yaldamar puts Aria on bed and says...

''Do your miracles.''

OOC: Jonad is one of my "under construction" characters, thusly, I'm the one controlling him.
---------------------------

Jonad had washed his hands. And walked over to the girl, and examined her.
He lifted her clothes away from the wound.

"Her pulse is weak, she is breathing. The wound is not too deep, and it appears that no internal organs is not damaged too bad." he turned towards Jin and yaldy.

"She will be fine. don't worry" He smiled assuring.

He mumbled a quick word, and his hand started glowing in a dim white aura.
He put his hand on the wound.
the white light, could be seen entering the wound, no doubt healing from within.

After a minute, Jonad took his hand away. And the wound had closed.
"There we go. a minor wound. But she has lost a deal of blood, and need rest."

He walked over to Jin. And slapped him on his shoulder.
"I think I still owe you an Ale. from that time" He smiles.

"Yeah. you do. I saved your life" Jin smirks
"No, that bear would have missed me"
"HELL NO!, He was about to bite you."
"Bah, Details" Jonar stated back to Jin

There was obviously some history between them. And they seemed to get along nicely.

"Come along. Ill buy you an ale as well.. Umm....:" he talked toward Yaldamar, and was hinting for his name.

''Its Yaldamar, and I would want something to eat, I haven't ate since last night.''

After that somethink like an explosion was heard. People that were near the room were panicing. Then pirate puts his hand on his stomach and says...

''Sorry, that was my stomach.''

Both Jin, and Jonad froze for a sec.
But Jonar broke the silence.

"Sure thing, Yaldamar. Any friend if Jin, is welcome with me" he smiled as he exited the room.

Jin stood with a 'struck down' look.
After all. Initially jin just approached Yaldamar for the heart. But yes, Jin felt that he had begun to get a friend feeling for him. Though, he should be aware, he would never know when. or If the pirate would stab him.

Anyway. As they got down, Jonad sat down at a table, and Jin followed.
Jonad just waved at the barkeep, wit h3 fingers stretched out.
and it seemed as he understood.
Jonad had to be a regular here. This was most likely '3 of the usual'

The barkeep brought three pancakes plates of pancakes. Yaldamar didn't wait any longer so he started to stuff himself with pancakes. 'Nobles' around were looking at him how pirate eats.
In less than 20 seconds he ate all pancakes from the plate.

''Ahh, now that filled me up!''

Jonad looked at Yaldamar with huge eyes.

"well.... that was fast" he managed to say.
"yeah, what did you expect" Jin replied with a sarcastic smile.

"Onto another thing" Jonad started "This meal repays you for the tools you created. Right?"
"yea, why not" Jin replied.

A few minutes later. Jonad had completed his meal, as had Jin.

Jonad looked at them both, somewhat curious.
"So." he started "whats the deal with the girl?" he mainly looked at Jin.

"Well. long story short. As I had overpowered her, she impaled herself on her own sword I was holding."
"umm.. why?" he asked, somewhat confused. who wouldn't be.
Jin sighed, "She apparently have 2 souls.. and" his head dips. "Yaldy, you mind explaining?" He asked, while waving at Yaldamar.

Flashes of blood and fire haunted her sleep. Aria convulsed slightly before she woke up covered in a cold sweat. Her eyes darted around the unfamiliar room. She searched for Jin and Yal but found them nowhere, but her mind was foggy and the uncertainty of where she was didn't make it any easier.

Aria started to move but halted as a shot of pain hit her stomach. She looked down her gut to see a barely visible yellow bruise. A flash of memory allowed her to see a blade sink through the spot. As quick as she had seen, it was gone again.

Her eyes widened. How was it that she was left with only a small bruise. She was terrifed suddenly. Where was she? How had she gotten here? She pulled herself up to her feet looked to the door.

What if someone was waiting on the outside. What if it was Jin or Yal. Or what if it was the person who had wounded her. Her mind raced, then she saw the window.
Aria sprinted to it it in a panic. She threw the window up and jumped out. This time when she landed she hit hard and stumbled to the ground. She picked herself up and ran in the direction of the inn she knew Jin and Yal were at. They were probably waiting for her, they might even be a little worried if she had been gone a while. How long had it been since she left?

No matter. She reached the inn a few minutes later and ran straight in. The barkeep gave her and odd look as she ran up the stairs. She opened the door hoping to find Jin and Yal waiting for her, with wide arms and worried voices. But all she found was Steadler, still passed out on the bed.

Her heart dropped, she felt a little light headed. She suddenly couldn't stand anymore. Aria fell to the wooden planks and leaned her neck back against the end of the bed.

She'd wait for them. She was too weak to do much of anything else. Her eyes drooped, but she did not allow herself to rest.

Who was that girl?
What is she?
Ther ... is she like us?
No, she's different .... but of course that's to be expected.

His eyes opened. One was red another grey. They were one at the moment.
'I dont ....' steadler muttered aloud.
'.... understand.' Thermesa finished her voice a wisper.
Can I take the body for a while by my self?
'No.' muttered Steadler, she left sulking.
Steadler pushed himself up, he was on a bed. How?
He groaned he was a little groggy, he looked up and ....
'Who are you?'

Aria started to reply but it came out in couchs. Her throat felt scratchy, as if she had smoked out of a pipe all day long. She moved to lean against the all oposite of the bed so she could face him.

"I'm Aria. I'm a friend of Yaldamars."

She wondered if Yal thought of her as his friend. She shrugged.

"Your Steadler right?"

Steadler could see her better now. She appeared to be around his age, but he though as much already.

"Yeah ... that's me.' he replied and then thought Wait Yaldamar.

'Yaldamar? He's here?'

Aria lowered her eyes.

"I think so, I'm not sure where he went or... I'm not really clear on much at the moment."

She gazed out the window. It was black outside and it was day when she had first made her way out. Then she remembered ... she jumped out the window...saw her reflection in the water. Her eyes had been...red.

Aria gasped as if she had seen a shadow in the window and then looked at Steadler.

"I remember.. I killed.... I'm... I shouldn't be alive... I ...."

In all her panic her voice cracked. She started to stand but as soon as she reached her feet, her vision spun and she started to fall again.

Steadler stumbled off the bed and caught her before she hit the ground.
'Hey you all right?'
He sat her down on the bed. 'I'm not sure what your talking about ... but don't worry.'
She sounded like you back when we first met. All scared ... frightened.
'I know what your going through ... I've been there myself.'

Aria gasped as if she had seen a shadow in the window and then looked at Steadler.

In all her panic her voice cracked. She started to stand but as soon as she reached her feet, her vision spun and she started to fall again.

Aria put one hand on her forehead and used her other to hug her knees to her chest.

"Are you a monster to then?"

She shot back very sharply. She looked into his eyes and sighed. She shook her head, ashamed of the outburst.

"I'm sorry, I know your trying to reassure me, but it seems that I'm more a danger than any help to anyone. I should have never journeyed here with Jin and Yaldamar."

She felt tears burning to be released. But she would not allow that. She had never once cried before and she would not start now. Feeling sorry for herself. She felt even more ill as she realized it.

"I have two souls... I know now that it is true, although I can not sense the other one I see all the lives I have taken with her at the reins. I see them all in my dreams... bloodied... burning... "

She coughed a bit and then laid her head on her knees. Her last few words were very quiet.

"I deserve death, not empathy."

'Your a vary silly girl, you know?' he sighed then sat down beside her. He paused suddenly and reached out with his hand. He pulled it back suddenly scared.
'No you don't deserve death. I'll tell you a story. Before I came here I returned to my village. We can say that I didn't part on the best of terms before.
'There was this young boy ... he had seen ... me,'
Me.
Steadler choked a bit. 'Kill his ... family. Not just kill ...' he stopped shrugged then continued slowly, 'he had seen, her ... Thermesa.'
Steadler struggled on, 'She literally caused their deaths with her hands. I couldn't say any thing to the boy.'
Steadler looked down. 'I'm looking for a way to be forgiven by him. The first option is death ... a meaningless act, the other is two find a way to remove Thermesa. Understand? You don't want to die .... sure you've seen her do these things but remember this and only this you know it wasn't you.'
Steadler hoped he had help but wasn't sure, he felt confused and weird the whole time.
I'll get you for those remarks boy!
Just shut up, he thought.

"Then who am I if not the killer? It's all I've known and been trained to do. How will I ever be free of this."

Aria wasn't expecting an answer back. She just simply mused and vented her frustration. But she had began to feel better. Something about his story made her feel hopeful and she truly believed he did know how she was feeling.

Aria shyly looked at him then. She realized they knew almost nothing about one another. She managed a weak smile.

"Thank you, I feel better. I just wish knew about my second soul sooner so that I could find a way to keep her from ever getting loose again, from hurting people...."

She stopped suddenly. "Why do we have two souls Steadler? Where did they come from?"

'I really don't know. But when I walked into the tavern ... I reacted to you some how.' he smiled and walked across to the window.
'I'm hopefully going to find out some information tomorow. Visiting an old .... friend.' he looked back at her. 'He has something to do with it, I know. You can come along if you like.'
He looked out the window, he wasn't at all sure if he wanted her to join him.
All she wants to know is more about ...
He cut her off, 'Aria, let's get some sleep okay?'

Aria nodded. She felt a little strange at the prospect of sleep when she felt as though she had already been asleep while her soul rampaged. But her body was begging for rest.

"I hope Jin and Yaldamar come back soon. I'm worried about them..."

Aria looked at the bed. They could both fit but it would be a little bit squashed. She threw the extra pillow on the opposite end.

"You can sleep with your head down there, just don't kick me face."

She pulled the covers up and slid into them and burrowed into the sheets with her back against the wall. In a few moments she was asleep.

He laughed.
He slipped on the bed, Who the hell is Jin? he thought suddenly before falling asleep on top of the blankets.

"Well. its about time my patient awoke, Ill go see:" Jonad stated.

He walked up the stairs, and entered his room. Only to find the bed empty, and the window open. Her sword was still left behind.
Jonad grabbed her sword, and the sheath that was left behind.

Jin was sitting there, enjoying the feel of a full stomach, then a hand slapped him on his shoulder.
"She is gone" Jonad stated to Jin.
Jin tipped his head backwards, and looked at Jonad.

"What do you mean 'gone'"
"She went out the window. And is now gone. She left this behind" Jonad informed, while he smacked jin on the head with the sheathed Katana.
Jin took the sword, and got out of the chair.

"we have to find her. I didn't go through all that trouble, just to loose her" He had a serious tone. "I also have a few questions" he continued.

"Well. I'm in, she is my patient" Jonad smiled. It was assuring to have one of the best healers in the land with him.

"You coming along" Jin asked yaldy, which had 'I am full' written all over him.
