The Soul Spear

Jin let out a bog yawn, he was gettign tired.
and decided that if he was paying. he might just use it. And get some sleep.

Jin leaned forwards, and withing seconds, he fell asleep sitting in the chair, lent over the table

Yaldamar couldn't fall asleep and the bed was taken by unconscious Steadler. Jin also fell asleep and lents over the table.

''Bah, looks like I'll be spending the evening outside.''

Pirate jumps from chair and exits the room. As he descends on stairs he notices there were no people anymore and a bartender seems to be nowhere to see. The bartender left the drinks under the coounter.

''Well, one bottle won't make big ruckus.''

Yaldamar behind the counter, where bartenders usually stand, and at random pulls out a drink. On the drink it says 'Whisky'. Yaldamar opens it and drinks once.

''Well, this should be enough to fill me up.''

Then he leaves the tavern.

A scream echoed through the village piercing the ears of those unfortunate enough to be outside. It was dusk now. Kyara walked silently away from the fallen girl. The sun's rays still left a bit of yellow and pink in the sky behind her. Darkness was stretching to chase it away.
She hadn't passed many people. It seemed the towns resident's stayed indoors at night time. No matter, she could kill them just as easily within their own homes.

The scream had roused a few people from their homes. The door of the house closest to her opened and a tall brawny fellow appeared in the threshold. His eyes fell upon Kyara who was walking away from the young girl whose throat was bleeding out onto the road. She must have only been thirteen or fourteen he guessed.

Kyara shot a glance at him and made for his door. He disappeared from her view for a moment and then came back with sword in his hands.

"What have you done?!"

Kyara didn't answer him.

"Murderer, the kings law means nothing here! My sword will do the judging!"

She continued on her path towards him. A few others had come out of their houses. A mother shooed her children that had followed her out, back inside and instructed them to bar the door. She ran off down the street in a panic. The others stood to watch, sure that their fellow townsman would take care of her easily.

The man still stood staring into Kyara's eyes and when she was close enough, he gasped.

"Red eyed demon! You will burn for your crimes!"

She giggled while she shook her head.

"No...you will burn."

Kyara moved her free hand, seemingly creating a circle in the air. Then a stream of fire shot from her palm and ignited the brave man’s entire body.
He dropped to the ground, screaming like a stuck pig. The few men who had been watching ran without thinking.

She smiled as she made her way to his front door. As she walked past the villager, who was rolling and wailing with pain, it seemed no matter what he tried he couldn’t put himself out. She kicked him out of her way.
His door was bared when she tried to open it. With a few gestures, the entire frame around the door lit up just as its owner had. After a few moments of the fire eating at the door she kicked it down and it hit with a loud crash.

Kyara entered only to see a mother holding her two very young children under a table. She sighed. She was hoping to meet someone inside that would foolishly try and stop her. But alas, this mother wasn't about to do anything. What a waste of time.

She raised her hands and then flicked them at all sides of the building. The walls caught on fire instantly. She turned and walked back out the front door. She didn't really care if they escaped, although she doubted the would. There were plenty of other people who would try and fight her and soon, very soon, they would form a small force of angry men to try and stop her. It was the same with all the villages she had destroyed in the last year. Angry mobs of villagers with their swords and pitchforks. She liked when they thought they could stop her. It was always the best when she could shred them and their confidence apart.

She moved down the street to find the tavern she had been at earlier.
That stupid girl... she thought to herself... She's gotten even weaker than before, let her guard down with those two imbeciles. Although I should thank them for making her so weak, I hate how the girl enjoys their company. It sickens me. I'll make sure to hang those two high in a tree with their skin peeled from their bones.

*zzzz.. ZNORK!*
Jin awoke, the smell of smoke was pouring in the open window.
It would seem as yaldamar had gone, and Aria was still not back.

Jin stretched himself, as he git out of the chair. And walked towards the window.
"A fire, eh" he muttered to himself.
"Bah, the firemen will take that" he assured himself, as he was to turn away from the window.

However, at that exact time. he noted 2 more smells in the air.
Burning flesh, and blood.
He tilted his head towards the window, looking outside with one eye.
Then a smile grew.
"There might be a reward for ending this" The thief within had awaken.
the thirst for treasure, as well as cash.

Jin took out 2 marbles, and ran towards the window. As he was in mid air, the marbles fused together, and formed a cylinder.
Jin held on the cylinder, and landed gently with a slight crouch.

As Jin was looking towards the smoke, the cylinder returned into marbles.
he took out a few more, and smiled.
Jin started running towards the smoke, and smell for blood.

Yaldamar exits the tavern while taking another sip of whisky he just got. Then as he removed his bottle from his mouth he notices a familiar face not so far from the tavern, Aria.

''Well it didn't took ya' long, lass.''

Pirate then again sips from the bottle of whisky. Then he notices something strange on Aria. Her eyes were... red. It didn't took him long to think about what happened so he asks Aria...

''Who are you?''

Kyara smiled broadly.

"It's me Aria. What sort of question is that?"

She slowly walked towards him. She was careful to move so that her sword was hidden behind her, although she knew it was obvious she was holding something.

"I felt bad about leaving in such childish manner, so I was hoping I could make it up to you."

She tugged at her tunic in a very suggestive way and gave him a very sly look. She stopped moving forward when he was about five feet away.

"I know that I'm young, but I'm sure a man such as yourself would treat me well. Just promise me you'll be gentle?"

Kyara batted her eyelashes and gave him a wicked grin.

Jin suddenly felt a familiar presence.
he had fused the 'feel' of Yaldamar's blade in his mind, so he could in the future avoid a back stab.
This time, it was in the streets.
"An investigation couldn't hurt too badly" Jin thought to himself, as he turned towards the feeling.

As he looked around the corner, he saw Aria there as well.
"I know that I'm young, but I'm sure a man such as yourself would treat me well. Just promise me you'll be gentle?" she stated to the pirate.

Jin could feel the lust building up in himself.
*Smack* Jin slapped himself out of it. she was too young, and this couldn't be her.

Jin had used enough time with her, to know that she wouldn't do this.
This had to be the other soul that Yaldamar talked about.
And she was holding her sword behind her.

If she could only use her sword, in had the advantage.

Jin came out from an alley, that was beside Aria, and yaldy.

"So. Since you're not Aria, I take it you're the other one" Jin grinned, while fingering a few marbles in his left hand.

Kyara turned to the familiar voice.

"Oh Jin, you've arrived just in time. Mean ol Yaldy was trying to proposition me into his bed! Silly me I almost fell for it."

She turned so she was facing him now. She lifted her hand to her chest and smoothly ran her fingers down the middle of her breasts and stopped just under her navel.

"But what I really want is you Jin. Do not deny my heart's true desire."

She gazed into his eyes with her own fiery orbs.

Jin's mind was starting to melt away. But he shook himself out of it. Literally.

He kept the distance between them, and took a deep breath. And exhaled.

"You are not aria, your eyes. as well as I can guarantee that Yaldy wouldn't try that. If you indeed have the same memories that Aria has. You should know how she acted around me" Jin lowered his head slightly, and gave of a grin "You should know what I'm capable of" He threatened while his left hand rose, and revealed 4 marbles.

"Fool."

Kyara stepped back and spun her katana so that it was raised in the air pointed towards Jin. She lifted one leg in a chi stance, while mimicking it with her free hand, so that her fingers were pointed in the same arch at the tip of her sword. Flames erupted from her palm and shot straight towards Jin.

"Fool." She stated, as she sent over a jet of flames.

"Fool?" Jin asked, while still grinning. "I take it you cant imagine the extent of my powers"

In an instant, the marbles in his hand, had formed into a shield.
A large, slightly curved shield. That contained the fire, and strangled it.

Kyara didn't hesitate after she saw the flames deflected. She ran forward with her katana and swung it full force down onto his makefshift shield, hoping to beat it out of his hands.

“You’re a fool if you think your silly tricks will stop me.”

She continued her fierce bombardment.

OOC: I got permission to do this over MSN..

His still red glowing shield was knocked away.

"Do you think these tricks is all I have?" Jin asked, with no consideration to the fact that his shield had dissapeared.
Jin just stood there, smiling. Awaiting the next strike.

Arias sword suddenly stopped. As if someone, or something was holding onto it.
"What a nice metal sword you have there" Jin grinned.
It was clear, any metal attack where close to useless on him.
at least regular sword attacks.

Jin stretched his left hand out after the shield. It parted itself, returning to 4 marbles, and ending up in Jin's hand again.

"so - Now what?"

(occ: RF had permission to take my character's weapon or whatever he has planned for the next post. ^_^)

Clearly she had underestimated this one. She made a quick glance behind her at the pirate. There was no retreating with him standing there.
Then a smile spread thinly over her face.

"If I can't win, then I must retreat for now."

She lifted her sword to her throat letting the edge cut a tiny bit into the flesh. She obviously enjoyed the bit of pain. Her eyes sparkled.

"Let me pass or I'll kill the girl, even if it means ending my own life I'd rather not spend another day in this wretched body."

Kyara knew he would not risk the girl. She would force him to choose.

"I know that I'm young, but I'm sure a man such as yourself would treat me well. Just promise me you'll be gentle?"

Yaldamar was now sure it isn't Aria anymore. He grabs his bottle of whisky with is left hand and puts his right hand on his sheathed rapier. Drinks a bit of whisky and says...

''Well, looks like we finally meet. You are Aria's other soul.''

After that Jin suddenly appears from nowhere saying...

"So. Since you're not Aria, I take it you're the other one"

''Prepare your trash Jin, I have a bad feeling about her.''

After Aria's other soul and in were chit chattinga bit they began to fight. Yaldamar could only sat down on nearby crate and watch the fight while drinking whisky.

"You clearly underestimated me. I mentioned that the sword was metal did I not?" He stated with a disappointed look.
"Fine, let me explain. I Freely control all forms of metal" He smiled.

In a heartbeat, his right hand stretched out, and Arias katana was forced out of her hands.
Ending up hovering in front of Jin.
He casually grasps the handle. And supports the blade over his shoulder.

"You're coming with us.. erm.. me" he changed that last part, when seeing that yaldy was drinking. Even being a pirate, his body would be affected by alcohol. Just to be on the safe side.

"Now what?" Jin asked mockingly.

The look on her face was astonished, but she quickly regained her composure.

"Fine, have her back. But remember the name Kyara, because someday soon I will take full control and there will be nothing left of that wench Aria."

She sprinted towards Jin who thought she was going attack. He raised her own sword and pointed it towards her, thinking to keep her at bay. He never suspected what happened next.

Her gut made contact with the blade and it slipped easily past the soft layers of flesh into her belly. He reacted enough just to withdraw in time so that it didn’t go through all the way.

Kyara fell to her knees and held her stomach. A silence lofted upon them for a moment. Then she gazed up at him. Her eyes were no longer crimson.

Aria coughed up a bit of blood. She gazed back down at her stomach.

"I....think... I need...a ..healer..."

She crumpled to the road.

Yaldamar sees Aria fell on floor so he leaves his whisky and comes to her. He puts his hand on her neck to check the pulse. He could feel the beating so he turns his head towards Jin and says...

''She is still alive, we need to find somebody who can heal her wounds.''

Pirate then lifts Aria with both his hands and says to Jin again...

''Any thoughts Jin, you know this parts well.''

Jin thought for a second.

"Hmm......"
a minute passed
"OH!" he suddenly shouted "we can go to Joned, he is an experienced healer. I heard that he was stopping by in this town"

Jin concentrated, he would focus on the dagger that Joned carries, it has an unique feel to it.

A few seconds pass, and Jin depletes his power to examine all metal objects in this town.

He falls to one knee. "I found him"
This was extremely tiring. Since he had to examine the 'feel' of every metallic item that was in the town.

"This way" Jin states, as he starts to jog, somewhat unstable.

Yaldamar, that was holding Aria, runningly follows Jin to the Joned person. A minute later they arrived to another tavern, this one was even bigger than the one where they have been.

''What were the odds?'', Yaldamar sighs, ''Well feel the way to healer's room.''
