Assuming you're playing the 360 version and not the PC version, if you haven't yet, installing the game to the hard drive helps loads with some of the problems.
Yeah, I did that about an hour into it after reading up on it.

This could go in this thread as well >_>

Lost Odyssey and Star Ocean 4.

I really like Lost Odyssey so far, it feels like it's going to have a really good storyline to it, the battle system and voice acting seem solid so far as long as the main character actually says more then I'm fine >_>

I can't really say much about Star Ocean 4 since I've just finished the battle tutorial, which took a bit of getting used to, graphics are very good apart from that sometimes they seem a bit emotionless like the voice acting. Other than that, it's another game that seems solid :)

Persona 3.

Me and Amanda are playing this at the same time, and it's so much fun. I love the storyline, and the characters are fascinating. I wish that the game would let you control all of them in combat, instead of just the MC, but that's something they're changing for the PSP Re-Release anyway xD I'd like to have the game completed before it's re-released. It's such a different game, but in a brilliant way.

Beat apollo justice and am Playing AA1 again. God I love this series.

Lost Odyssey is up there with Tales of Vesparia and Valkyria chronicles as one of the best JRPGs this gen.

SO4.... The combat is moderately enjoyable, but the story is awful and the VA will make you want to cut your ears off.

You should try some of the other games in the MegaTen series. It's one of my favorites. You should try out SMT3: Nocturne, my personal fav.

You guys actually liked Lost Odyssey? I thought it was terribly linear, the battle system was archaic, graphics and voice acting a bit on the average side, and they didn't do anywhere near as much with the concept of immortality as they'd promised before the game's release. To each his own. I was just hoping for much more.

Anyway now playing Elder Scrolls IV: Knights of the Nine. When I got Oblivion, it was the game of the year edition with both expansions included. Upon completing the original game, I didn't bother with any of them though. That is until now atleast.

No worse than FFX when it comes to linearity. The battle system was standard turn based fare, which is something I like. Either way, the 1000 years of dreams sequences were amazing. It sounds like you overhyped yourself on it.

Hey guys, this is not a debate thread, this a "what are you currently playing" thread. Please argue your opinions on these games elsewhere. Thank you.

The 1000 years of dreams sequences were boring as hell :P At the very least they could have done some suitable artwork to accompany it rather than just smacking it on a black screen with some random light effect or a feather, or whatever. It's supposed to be a videogame, not a collection of short stories. I would gladly have traded all those sequences for 3 or 4 actual playable glimpses into Kaim's past. Another thing that bothered me endlessly was how schizophrenic the design was. Kaim and Seth looked like something lifted right out of Nomura's sketch book while Sarah looks like something from Pride and Prejudice.

Anyway I digress. This thread is for posting what you are playing at the moment, so I'll leave it at that.

I am currently playing Star ocean tlh, The Last Remnant, Infinite Undiscover and more rpgs like FF X-2 and XII. First off I play Lost Odyssey sometimes to pass some time and I am stuck on disc 4. Pretty good game actually. As for Star ocean tlh I am playing it 1 more time on Chaos after my Universe playthrough.

Lately I tend to be playing Gears of War 2 again, what with the release of the Dark Corners map pack. I feel a bit cheated tbh, because the multiplayer maps are quite poor and the extra story mode chapter isn't all that great either. However the online playlists have been shuffled around a bit to make it better for those who don't have all the map packs. I've been trying to get the achievement for winning an annex game on each combustible and flashback map.

I also started (or rather continued) an old game of FFX a couple of days ago. So far I'm up to the chocobo eater and then off to Djose.

I'm currently playing Final Fantasy Dissidia!

It's quite exciting so far and very different to most FF's for obvious reasons. XD

It's awesome getting to use characters that I've never played with before and getting to know more about them and such.

So far I'm going through the character's stories which are quite fun to play through!

Chrono Cross.

Also sort of working on Star Ocean The Last Hope, and my friend has BlazBlue so I was playing that a little bit too.

I am currently playing Final Fantasy: Dissidia and Enchanted Arms.

I have been playing Dissidia non-stop ever since I got it, I think this game is going to have me stuck for a while, the game is amazing the music is great and of course the graphics as always in Enix products breath taking. Always pushing the PSP to its limit! D<

In Enchanted Arms I am stuck, thought v.v there's this battle that I kept losing so I frigging quit.....but I know I can't stay away, the story has me hooked and the game play is similar to Tactics. I am going to sit down in a few hours and start playing again, I cant stay away from the game!

I'm currently playing Final Fantasy Tactics Advance.

I was so pissed off at not being able to escape the "Abyss" attack from the second engagement with that guy who has Mewt's name reversed that I accidentally overwrote my data. Everyone was level 20. God. That was about as bad as when I accidentally punched myself in the nuts when I punched at the chair space beneath me and hit myself at the time I couldn't defeat Nina to attain 100 straight wins on Tekken 5. :gonk:

How the hell do you get the Assassin class anyway?

Dissidia

I just bought it yesterday. Pretty addictive, I really like the bravery system an such (although in my opinion it can make certain battles easy). The story mode is ok It's interesting to see how characters from different games interact with each other, but I've been getting impatient with it. It gets boring fighting tons of pointless easy battles over and over, but I guess that is really what FF is all about.

Dissidia. I'm addicted to it.XD

More effort, please. Try elaborating more ^^

I'm playing Star Ocean : First Departure, on the PSP, and I'm totally hooked. I don't like how you need to follow a guide, or you'll fuck up epically, and I hate how you can only recruit so many characters, I've gone through them all, and I've decided to recruit Cyuus, Phia, Welch and Pericci.

It IS a fun game though, grinding is fun, for once, and I love the skill system. The voice acting is far better than I had anticipated. I'm impressed. xD

Grand Theft Auto Vice City Stories for PSP. I got it Friday and I have to say, its a good GTA game for PSP. I didn't like the other one, it seemed to weird and clunky for me. I hate the fact that I have to do a million things to get music on GTA PSP, though. It annoys me!

I will be playing Dissidia on Tuesday. It would have been Monday, but mail doesn't come then, so I have to wait even longer.

I am currently playing Star Ocean First Departure and Second evolution well not till I beat first departure xD. Hey Mark I have Cyuss ioshua and Mavelle plus original characters. Im stuck on Labyrith of champions. Ah im also playing Dissidia Final Fantasy. I love the english version so much better. Also gonna play Star Ocean Tteot again. Im hooked on the SO series. still continuing TLH on universe mode!

Time for an update, haven't posted in three months and one day. :P

Since August 26th (20th birthday), I've been almost exclusively been playing Dissidia: Final Fantasy, it sucked me right into it, I now have some 170 hours of play time on it.

For a little while in very late August/early September period I was playing Phantom Brave: We meet again (another game I got for my birthday), clocked in 120+ hours of play time on that, not shabby.

I really enjoyed it, got through the main game, still haven't gotten far into Another Marona though, it is kind of bugging me after getting through the first part, then going into that...

Dissidia is near game perfection. :D I absolutely love it, I encourage everyone to get it so it sells really well so Square Enix will make another one, because it is by FAR the best PSP game I have played so far, and that is with having got immense level of enjoyment out of Crisis Core (got through it 3 or 4 times. XD), so this game in my eyes is game of the year. ^_^

Doubt it'll get it though, handheld games don't generally get that, do they? But it has exceptional graphics for a handheld game, so that shouldn't be an issue. :)

Kingdom Hearts: 358/2 Days

Very, very good game. The storyline has evidently been thought out thoroughly, and I like the way it notes the storyline of Chain of Memories in there, which I personally thought 358/2 Days was set in between CoM and KHII, which it isn't, it's set at the same time as CoM >.> Battle system is epic. Overall I love it 8D
