Legend od Zelda Skyward Sword, or whatever its called. I'm shit at it

I'm also replaying FFIX on the PSP, Ive just got to the first chocograph forest, so il probably be gthere for a good while, it sucks hours from my life. Im rich though. I managed to impress all 100 nobles so got 10,000 gil for that, then I went and dug 5,000 gil up in the choc forest

Call of Juarez: The Cartel
PS3

I'm Currently playing this game online with Lew. I was a little paranoid that this game would suck because it got terrible reviews hahaha! Like.... I don't think it got above a 5/10 on any site but I'm actually having a lot of fun with it!

It's about these three cops, I think they're trying to take down the drug cartel or something (I've not been paying attention to the story) and each character has a secret agenda that you have to do without the other two characters seeing, I think that's the most fun part. The rest is just shooting and car drives and random missions like blowing up tents. It's good fun with a partner, I probably would not be interested in it if it was one player.

The graphics are a little bit shitty though :(

Portal 2

I was playing the single player but I have put it on hold until the end of my exams, I have enough things already distracting me from study. It is very enjoyable, the puzzles are really well done so far, though some times irritatingly short. The humour is absolutely brilliant though, almost everything GLaDOS and Wheatley say, makes me laugh. I am playing the multiplayer with my dear pal Anabanana. I say play, I mean I drag her through the levels because she is so terrible at the game.

Dead Space 2

So far it is not as good as the first one but I am enjoying it quite a lot, I have only gotten to play for an hour here and there though. After exams I will finish Portal and then devote all of my time to it

Deus Ex (new one) -

I thoroughly enjoyed this game. I had a little of a hard time adjusting due to the constant sneaking like metal gear solid, though it was only due to the fact that I had limited ammo for about every gun. You can literally go through every mission undetected, but why is that fun? I guess the most fun was the hacking involved. Just like lock picking is to skyrim/oblivion/fallout and hacking is to Bioshock.. I love mini games like this. It's like a chess game, except timed (a lot faster).

Combat was great, story line was... so so, graphics - jaw dropping. I did like the story line, it's just strange how they ended it (multiple endings, but the event that happens before the multiple endings sort of erks me).. that's all.

Rage - I was utterly disappointing in this game. I tried to remember it was not an rpg and go into it open minded. Honestly it was a like a gutted twisted metal, meets a gutted borderlands, meets a gutted fallout 3. The racing was fun at first, then it just got repetitive, even with the upgrades/new cars. Overall the combat was a bit fun, but I felt like I was playing a survival horror sometimes when walking into buildings that were completely junked up and little "mutants" around every corner. The main complaint I had was lazy enemy design. It was down right awful. I had a fit when I noticed every enemy was pretty much the same. Maybe if I had given it the chance... but still.. you have to have a hook somewhere. Graphics were awesome though... for what it was. The story line was non existent, yet it made you go through linear sub plots, which was even more pointless.

Demon Souls - Sigh. Call me a quitter, but this riled my blood like MW3. No offense, but I do not like games in which you have to have an amazing memory and basically be a perfectionist at how to play your character. I have neither the time or will to master a playing style that I have absolutely no clue how to do. I started the game all open minded.. Worst graphics I've seen in a while. I of course do what everyone does, get raped by the first demon boss.. I was like.. okkkkaay. Next some dude joins my game in the 2nd part.. leads me all the way up the tower and then leaves. I walk outside and a dragon burns my ass in one shot. I lose all my exp.. and of course, it's hard as hell for me to get up there again so I lose around 11,000 souls. (exp). I said screw it, but came back to it. Even the smallest enemies can hit you every time. I can't tell you how many times I got past the dragon part, just to be decimated by a room full of skeleton guards, or the dude with the great sword. I play games for leisure not to geek out and be a perfectionist on. I gave it a go.. but it was not fun.. especially with the slow slow combat and crap graphics.

Skyrim - I popped it in and the first day played a good 4 hours. I was instantly hooked due to how much the improvements were from oblivion. I instantly said, I was going to retry being an archer/stealth class. They got rid of the acrobatics and athletics and all the extras, and just left me with my lock picking, pick pocketing, archery, stealth, smithing and enchanting.

After playing 30+ levels.. I found over 30+ bugs though. My job at work is a code tester, though I have open source there, this is closed source code and I gotta say, this is the most unfinished piece of crap I've ever seen. Main story lines bugged? Side quests bugged? A dude who follows you and asks you a question every 2 seconds bugged? Dragons bugging? Shop owners bugging? Folks who dissappear when doing the daedric quest, and you can never complete it as well? Load screen freezing, Freezing from picking up certain items, Freezing for being in certain zones at the wrong time.. Jesus christ folks. I have never in my life seen such an untested environment as this. This is not even Beta capable just about. My wife had to restart it got so bad.

I love the game in general, but with all the bugs and how many work arounds I've had to do, I've learned to save out the ass; which should never be the case.

Oh well, as long as people buy it right? Ass holes. As you can see the patches have stopped.. since early December. So I wonder what the hell they are doing over there. I would have easily bought this game at $30.00 to have tested it.. not $60.00 essentially the players are the testers.. way to go bethesda, way to cut down on cost.

The 3rd Birthday

Oh goodness, where do I start? I think I'm about halfway into the game on the default normal difficulty, and it really isn't too challenging for the average gamer, as long as you pay attention to what the CTI team tell you over the radio during missions and particularly boss fights.

In terms of gameplay, I kind of give it a mid-B so far. It's practically Crisis Core's shooter cousin in terms of linearity and in-game graphics engine, but without the 300 useless repetitive optional missions to get the most pitiful of item rewards. There's nothing too remarkable about it - it's pretty much what you expect from a game like this, bar perhaps the Overdive system, where you can jump from body to body (if you have disposable troops at hand) to avoid nasty game overs.

It's not really an RPG either. It's a third person shooter at heart, but it only utilises some elements of an RPG, with the level system (to be frank, I've not bothered too much in levelling up - it doesn't feel like it has that much of an effect bar perhaps on Aya's health) and the weapon customisation system.

The Twisted enemies in the game aren't that varied to be honest. A lot of the time they like to reuse the Slacker monsters and the blobs that can shoot projectiles. Bosses fortunately do a much better job of holding my interest and keeping me on my toes as I have to find and exploit their weaknesses while making sure my squad and I survive long enough to a) kill it and b) earn some achievements.

Oh boy, the characters and story are definitely the worst parts of the game. I know they faced a bit of a problem when Square decided to make this game, and they had to work only with what they had, but to make Toriyama pen the story is just...disastrous. I don't even want to discuss it because I don't even know what to say about it. More damningly, the characters aren't even characters. They're just cardboard cutouts with some dialogue. Honestly, if I were to describe this game's Aya Brea without mentioning the sheer fan service at all, I wouldn't even get past the third sentence.

Then there's Kunihiko Maeda, who is an absolute creep - which is a little ironic considering he's the only actual full ethnic Japanese character in the game.

Deus Ex: Human Revolution.

Ever since I first heard of this game I've been anticipating it. Well, August came and I sadly wasn't able to get it yet sooo I waited for Christmas... and what a glorious game I found it to be. :jess:

The graphics are just freaking amazing. It's so strange how jaw-dropping they actually are.

The music is some of the best game music I've heard since Halo or CoD series. Sometimes I even find myself stopping Adam just so I can listen to the song a bit more. :ryan:

The gameplay: is my first time ever playing a game like it, and I really find it enjoyable. I like being able to decide if I'd rather sneak around or just go all out and shoot around the place. :ahmed: The hacking system is freaking so fun but I am terrible at it and have to ask my 14 year old brother to help me :lew: I really like how you have a certain amount of room to store items, very realistic that you wouldn't be able to carry everything all at once. Oh, and the upgrading system is really cool. I like how I have to collect praxis points to gain a certain upgrade(like ammo upgrade or melee attacks). Another major thing I love about the gameplay is how I could use things in my surrounding as weapons, it seems more personal this way, if ye know what I mean. :lew:

The storyline... I haven't beaten it... yet! It takes me longer to beat a game cuz I only get about four hours of gameplay a week. :lew: But from what I know already the storyline is solid and is very much there.

The characters: My word Adam Jensen is my favorite video game character since Cloud Strife, Master Chief, and Soap Mactavish :inlove: I just love him completely and his storyline, in my opinion, is just brilliant. I love every little detail about him, from his obsession with eating cereal to his smashed in mirror :( It's the little details like those that show you who he is. :C

Overall, I love this game and I'm uber happy to have been able to get it, I really love it. :ryan:

Had 10 dollars lying around and decided I'd try out one of the Sly Cooper games, seeing as they're each on the PSN individually, and I didn't have enough for the whole collection.

It's quite a fun game. Good platforming, and the classic "1 hit and you're dead" comes in. Unless you collect 99 coins or a horseshoe for up to 2 extra hits. This made the second boss fight a bit tricky. I'm currently on the 3rd area of what I think is 4 or 5. So about halfway through. I am being a trophywhore, but it is for the good. Collecting all of the clue bottles in the game gets you powerups, so there's a reason to do it aside from the trophies I get. It's also making out to be a very easy platinum :hmmm: If I play it enough, I should have it beaten by the end of the day. Quite short, but really fun  Just have to wait for more money to get the rest.

Well I'm playing a couple games

1. Sonic Generation- Fun Fun Fun game! one of the funnest games to come out last year IMO, Now why can't Sega make more games like this???? Bring back some original stuff (now only if other companies would do this once in a while, bring back original stuff, that sold).

2. Breath of Fire IV- So this is my first time playing it, and I do like it, interesting story line and nice characters, with a nice battle system...

3. Final Fantasy IX- Good classic game That I will never get sick of, no matters how many times I play it.

Borrowed Dead Space from a friend because I never beat it on the Xbox where I got to chapter 9 or so. Of course I enjoy it otherwise I wouldn't have wanted to play it :hmmm: Currently on chapter 4.

I'm playing FF9 and Arc The Lad. Arc's not actually too bad, regardless of the rating it has on the UK PSN (around 3.7). I'm actually finding it nice to have an easier RPG for a change :)

Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together for the PSP. Quite a challenging game, though the plot is... underwhelming. (Probably helps to get into the world via the earlier Ogre titles. I don't feel anything for these characters, though.) Still, it's a good way to pass the time, and I do look forward to replaying it to sample the other story paths.

XBOX 360: Tales of Vesperia

I'm currently chasing after some knights or something, about 13 hours in and loving the game, love tales battle system and all the characters, oh yh, just done the bit when i had to get pass the guards by picking one of the girls to try and seduce them... shame rita wasn't in my party, that could of have been funny :lew:

PSP: Tales of the World, Radiant Mythology 3

got it imported from japan as their no english version :(, very good game, just at the boss for the second mission on that one, really enjoying it

Just Dance 3! The game is sexy. I definitely have sore arms the next day, which is great! It's a great way for me to work out during the winter when it's too cold to go out walking, and I can't get to the gym.

i kinda abandoned skyward sword. not that i dislike it, i just cba turning the console on and waving my arms about trying to kill shit

So Im playing FFIX on my PSP instead, minimal effort. I just shove it in my dressing gown pocket and i can play it about the house. bad times when i drop it though

Disk 3, few eventful events have happened, garnets going through her annoying phase so that will be her never in my party again. Will be seeking out chocobo lagoon as soon as ive acess to the blue narciss, and that will be yet more hours wiled away digging up chocographs

Assassin's Creed 2: I shot a man in Reno

So far this is a ridiculously enjoyable game, everything about it is very well done. I don't want to ramble on about every part of the game, suffice to say it is all very very enjoyable. I have only two minor problems, which are not really problems at all. More like saying there is a bit of dust in corner of the Mona Lisa's frame.

Firstly, I don't see why they give a selection of twenty odd weapons, when clearly no one is going to use anything bar the double hidden blades. Secondly, I find it irritating that they randomly insert Italian words when the characters talk. Clearly the characters are already speaking Italian in the game, because it would be retarded if they actually spoke English to each other. So then you have to turn on subtitles to understand the Italian parts, but the subtitles are very difficult to read at times
