Defiance, a New MMO thats pretty glitchy. Just like any MMO starting off. Buy Xbox is having a problem with there servers since yesterday because of a Hacking Incident so Ive just been sitting here at the Opening screen hoping that they get their stuff together so I can actually play darn it.

Besides that Starcraft II. lol

I am playing multiple things right now haha... lets seeeee

Katamari Forever
PS3
I had a Katamari game on my old Xbox 360 and I loved it. It was so random and trippy and just a lot of fun so when I saw this one in the shop for $30 I scooped it up. It's not as good as the other one I played but it's still hilarious and i am enjoying it a lot.
There's not much to really say about it I suppose other than I never knew rolling shit up into a ball could be so much fun...

Persona 4
PS2
I keep hearing people raving about this game in the SB and it's been sitting on my shelf for years now and I finally decided to try it... so far I am unsure what the hype is about but perhaps I just have to force myself through this terrible beginning before I see the true amazingness this game has to offer... so far though I am not enjoying it...

The Walking Dead
PC
Also another game I have been hearing a lot of hype about. I'm actually finding the PC controls hard to use for this game and am probably going to rebuy it on the PS3 so I can play it better but from what I've played already it's pretty interesting... I died on the first zombie and my friends laughed at me ;_;

Dishonored was 50% off on Steam this weekend, so I have been playing that these last couple of days in what little time homework has allowed me to spend gaming. The slightly cartoony, industrial era steampunk look of the game reminds me a little of a more grim version of Fable 3, which is definitely a good thing. I also love getting up and close with the sword which results in some grizzly satisfying kill animations. I haven't played any further than escaping from the prison though (twice, I restarted once) so I am not really fully into the game yet.

This friday I also got into the Final Fantasy XIV beta, but I haven't gotten any further in that than creating a character and starting the game.

i thought dishonored was pretty cool, i think the dlc that will allow you to play as Daud just came out

but playing Dragon's Dogma, seeing if I can get over walking everywhere. which im not entirely against, but you don't even get a horse or anything lol. I want to kill the weapons and armor guy, THEY'RE MASTERWORKS ALL CAN'T GO WRONG :rage:

Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee
I never finished this as a child, then I ran it on an emulator a year or two ago and still did not finish it. This time however I have gotten much further than ever before, and am committed to finishing. I am trying to get back into the factory which ironically is much tougher than escaping it was. Older games are much harder and unforgiving than newer games I think. It is still very enjoyable however.

Borderlands 2
I am still playing this with my dearest pal, Hal. We are around level 45 going through True Vault Hunter Mode before we attempt Terramorphus. They have also released Ultimate Vault Hunter Mode so if I am not bored of the game by the time we finish TVHM, we will try that I expect.

Bioshock Infinite
I completed the game a day or two ago and it was better than even my expectations, one of the best games I have ever played. I am slowly replaying it on 1999 mode getting all the achievements as I go.

I'm currently playing:

Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon
- Sorta half and half. It may be bigger, have more mansions and generally be of a higher quality than the original Luigi's Mansion, but it's also much more repetitive and dare I say generic. The different mansions have one or two interesting rooms in each that make them unique, but otherwise none are any different from the others (the snow mansion is the exception...but that's just one of five mansions, right?). Still, it's not terrible. It's still funny to watch Luigi cower in fear as he walks around, and I always laugh at when he gets crap scared by a mouse/bat/lightning etc.
My major problem with Dark Moon though? You can't hump the furniture anymore! What the hell! :britt: @Squid

EDIT: Generic ghosts with no personality or characteristics this time around too. They're just sorta pacman ghosts instead of being actual characters.

Wild Arms 2 - So good! I love my old-fashioned JRPGs and this fits the bill sehr nicely. Once again, it may not be as good as the original, but it is well worth a play! The OST isn't as stand-outish as in WA1, neither are the dungeons and towns so far, but the general formula is still there. The battles are still great and the puzzles are better this time around. There is also more of a solid story, but...it's still nothing amazing.
Wow this sounded so negative :/ . I'm still loving it 4-5 hours in regardless of all those negatives lol :monocle:

Been replaying Dragon quest VIII journey of the cursed king. Havent played this game in yeaaaaaaars. Since not long after it came out i think. Was always one of my favourite games and RPG's. One of the best on the ps2 for sure. About 20 hours in so far. Just got the boat and il be fighting Dhoulmagus for the first time soon. I remember him being a right bastard to beat when i was younger. I jumped in joy as a young un when i finally beat him. Been doing a lot of sidequest like the monster arena and medal collecting. Experimenting with the alchemy pot and stuff. Im amazed that i still remember most of the recipes despite how long its been since i played it. Didnt play much of it tonight as i wanted to watch a dvd.
After work 2moro though imgunna get right back into it. Damn addicting game back when SE was still a great company.

Bioshock infinite again. Replaying it on 1999 mode and am not very far in. The difficulty spike is massive and I have to make sure I have the infusions if I even have any hope to survive. Also need to make sure to collect the voxophones on the way.

Pokemon White 2: Mostly just ev training pokemon and doing some battles online. Sometimes I lose, but at least I learn from my losses. It is too bad I never played online when legends were available to use. Random match up does not allow legends anymore so I cant use my Kyogre. :hmph:

Also need to remember that I had both Infinite Undsicovery and The Last Remnant cleaned recently because they were always freezing at a certain part. I should probably play those also. Maybe at the same time as other games if I can.

Fire Emblem: Awakening
3DS

I. Can't. Put. This. Game. Down.

I love it :| I've spent the entire day playing it like some saddo. I keep thinking to myself "ok just one more fight and then I will put it down and do something else" and then 10 fights later I'm still playing it hahaha. I LOVE the cutscene graphics, I think they're fantastic. They're Anime-ish and also kind of 3D I dunno, they're just cool, the characters are a lot of fun and the battles are awesome. The story is confusing me a bit but that doesn't matter coz the rest of it is great.

The one thing I hate about it though is....the characters have no feet :rage: they have little baby stumps :(

Still been playing though Dragon Quest 8. Im not at Argonia, ive just left to hunt for Argonian hearts for the prince. The games getting a bit tougher now. I could do with being a few levels higher. When I next turn it on im gunna go hunt for some metal slimes and boost my level. I reaaaaly need some better equipment too. Everything in the shops is so expensive and all the items which are good to alchemise, items which im around the level where I have the ingredients to make in the Alchemy pot I cant seem to make because im always missing on ingredient. I try to get them from monster drops but it just wont seem to work :rage:

I've also been playing Ristar and Dynamite Headdy for the Megadrive / Genesis. They're on the PS3 collection of Sega Games. Had both these games as a child on my Megadrive and they're both easily 2 of the best platformers of the 16bit era. When im getting annoyed at Dragon Quest but still wanna play a game its good to pop these in. Great thing about the collection on the ps3 is that you can save your game. I never completed them as a child always get so close :vikki:
Thanks to the power of being able to save im nearing end game. With 16bit games though you can pretty much replay them over and over and not really get bored.
The beauty of games back in those days were that you could easily just pick up a game and play it for 20 minutes to kill some time. You cant really do that nowadays. When you play a current generation game your gunna put in at least an hour of play time.

I still play Tekken Tag 2 every weekend. And im still beating Squid every weekend at Tekken Tag 2.
This weekend we played and were on webcam like usual and I was beating her pretty badly and i was close to a perfect and she screamed out loud.
No stop beating me lewis. I AM NOT IN THE MOOD :lew::lew: Definitely the brattiest thing ive ever heard her say. We both then burst out laughing :lew:

I need to get back into playing Nino Kuni. I havent really got that far. Maybe only 13 hours in. I loved the game, dont get me wrong but when i started playing things were pretty tough and i had no motivation to play games at all. When i finish DQ il get back into it :hmmm:

This! I got it today and have only now put it down! I'm only playing on normal and classic, but I'm having problems on chapter 3 lmao. Such a noob. My mage keeps dying and she's the character I like most so far :gasp: . Now I know I should keep the mage back a bit, but it's so tempting to shove her in the forefront and attack away :/ . Woop, look at that...she's dead again :wacky: .

Loving it...but I need a break for a bit.

I'm also playing the original Luigi's Mansion, but I'll leave my comments on that in ze other thread. It's still as great as ever so far, but I'm only at the start :)

I just finished it, and I absolutely loved it. I played through the game with a low chaos level, but I am definitely considering going for another playthrough aiming for high. The game seems like it has pretty good replay value. The Knife of Dunwall DLC seems intrigueing, but I think I might wait until The Brigmore Witches comes out and get both at once.

Right now I am in between games, but I have a few things on my harddrive I am considering attacking next. It will probably be The Witcher 2, but I am also contemplating giving Crusader Kings II a go. It seems like such a fascinating game with incredible depth, but I also found it immensely hard to get into and master. I think next up is watching some youtube videos in order to get a proper grasp of the gameplay and hopefully then I can start to enjoy it.

Dead Island: Riptide
PS3

I am playing Riptide at the moment, I am not very far in but it is fun so far. I didn't really enjoy the prologue much, it was kind of horrifying.
The graphics are nice enough and slashing zombies up is great. I also got to experience a flying boat glitch last night with Jim and Hal which was quite funny. It is not so fun when you are being constantly set alight by certain team members though!

I am playing as John. No one likes him because he uses knuckle things but I think he's cool.

I'm playing Sleeping Dogs. It's very similar to the GTA games as far as the go to each case on the map to advance the story and etc... and there is a lot of driving. There is an emphasis on fighting though, which is fun and keeps the game interesting because you can grow your skills. Don't drive like crap or be reckless though, or you will be penalized for it :gasp:

Arkham Asylum. I needed to see what all the hype was about; and i've not been disappointed yet. Great game, odd for a superhero game. Most of them are awful. It'll keep me busy until Civ 5: Brave New World comes out I guess.

Agreed. I love these strategy games but the tutorials are pretty awful in the demo. Not to mention you can't actually rule the world or anything..

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

This game is ... fucking ... I can't even put descriptive adjectives onto this colossal game. The world in and of itself is just expansive and rich with different cities and you have these wonderfully huge landscapes in between. Skyrim from what I understand is just this huge Nordic landscape of chained mountainous ranges and long winding rivers--harsh tundra like landscapes. I have to say ... Bethesda know exactly what they're doing. I spent most of my time just drinking in the amount of graphical detail on this game. My specs are fairly decent but I still found myself having to run this game on its lowest settings. It's still a beautifully crafted game. In terms of environment alone I would rate it fairly high. You run into this occasional wandering nomad such as your own character and the transition into dialogue and game play is seamless. There are times I have to alert myself to the UI. It's just ... mindblowing because I've just started and made my character a few days ago. About that, they've reintroduced the races from Oblivion (which I also test-ran but on my cousin's computer, it also ran fairly seamlessly with a few lag spikes here and there). I made a female Khajiit and I'm struggling to figure out how to build here because mother of God that interface. I'm a novice approaching the world of Elder Scrolls so the idea of a huge skill tree in the form of massive constellations was visually appealing but also daunting. You're given a small bit of tutorials in the beginning but they don't seem to hand-walk you through everything as they did in Oblivion. By the time my character made her way out of Helgen and narrowly avoided the first dragon she saw I was basically pitched into wandering and then wandering turned into me exploring caverns and abandoned temples. (Read: Bleak Barrow Falls) It was fun. But the pacing was rather frenetic even though I set the difficulty on novice. I was just high strung. My Khajiit is only at Level 5 but I'm extremely anxious to unearth all the secrets that Bethesda's just littered throughout the world.

Parasite Eve. I'm sorry I left you Suikoden 2... well, I think I'll be playing both of them simultaneously, if you know what I mean, ha ha. J/k! ;)

I had to cheat after beating that crab thingy at the warehouse b/c those monsters that come at you before you leave the building were killing me with 2 hits; my new rocket launcher couldn't even kill them until the second shot, which I died before then. And there were 3 of them. -_- I have no idea how one would get past those things w/o cheating! :O

PERSONA 1 PORTABLE GOD

this game is very old! it has not aged well! the battle system took a lot of time before I could actually kill demons easily and even then it's very difficult. the encounter rate is really high but the dungeons aren't very long so it's not a big deal. I'm in the last dungeon now. The only reason I kept playing is because the characters are very likable and the story is good, unlike Persona 4 lol. I'll be moving on to Persona 2: Innocent Sin after this
