[V5] What are you currently listening to?

Gah, now I have Kelly stuck in my head >.<

Song: Kelly Clarkson -- Breakaway

There isn't a song I don't like that was created by Kelly. Her voice is so beautiful, I am so envious of her. All of her songs hold so much beat, happiness and they are always so full of emotion. Her voice is possible one of the best I've ever head in my life. She is very talented and I hope someday she is acknowledged for it.

I give the song a 10/10, because I love it.

Girls Aloud - Untouchable

I don't really know what it is about this song that makes me love it. It's probably due to the futuristic music playing in the background and the girls all getting an equal go at singing their hearts out. If this is the new sound for the band, then I'm very satisified.

Boulevard of Broken Dreams - Green Day

Have I mentioned that this is my favorite song? I've went back into listening to all the songs I liked and am probably listening to this song for the umpteenth time already. Nonetheless, I find that the lyrics are a brilliant representation of my life at some points, actually, now as well.

Sigh.

David Sylvian - For The Love Of Life

This song was the first ending theme for the anime, Monster. Monster is a psychological thriller about this psychopath Johan, whom the main character, Dr. Tenma had saved. It's a story about Dr. Tenma's quest to stop this eponymous monster from taking innocent lives.

Nonetheless, this particular song seemed to have been specially written for the anime. It's lyrics are actually a good representation of the anime.

That aside, this song is extremely slow. I tried singing along with it, but I couldn't follow it's really slow rhythm. The space between the lines of lyrics can last up to half a minute on end... Though, I suppose it makes up for it with quite a soothing accompanying music.

Lady GaGa - Monster

I love the vibe I get from this, sounds like a song that could've easily been there with the rest of the anthems from the 90's. I've only begun to listen to the songs from The Fame Monster, so this is one of those that cropped up. Very catchy, loving the clubby beat from it.

Christina Aguilera - Hurt

Probably her best song imo, I'm not really a big fan of hers although her latter stuff is definitely her best but this song really shows off her vocal talent rather than typical voice warped pop stuff. The lyrics are a bit cliche but that can be forgiven since she does hit some of the higher and bigger notes extremely well.

Sugababes- Wear My Kiss

This has to be in my opinion the best Sugababes song since About You Now. They're not my favourite girl band out there, but I feel this song does beat The Saturday's Ego and Girls Can't Catch's Echo. The chorus is ridiculously catchy and there I was wondering at first whether or not I will like the song. Even the part where's it's lyrically dead (the da da da da da da da part) has something worth praising for being also as catchy. Jade is amazing as well, and she does give the band a breath of fresh talent.

10/10

Porcupine Tree - Open Car

Just an epic song from an epic band. Sounds amazing.

[Mod Edit: Can you please elaborate a little more. One liners are usually classed as spam in post count sections. Thanks =)]

Sting- "Why Should I Cry For You?"
This song always makes me think of a character in a story I'm writing--at one point he's sailing to a new place, thinking about all he's done for the impossible-to-woo woman in his life, and he starts wondering if maybe he should just let her go and move on to other things. The imagery in the song is what really paints the picture for me--lots of oceanic/arctic references that draw up a nice parallel of physical and emotional remoteness.

Kung Fu Fighting - Carl Douglas

The song just came to my head, and I thought I might as well listen to it. It sounds rather amusing anyway. EVERYBODY LOVES KUNG FU FIGHTING~!

It's just that catchy to the point where I'm now having problems trying to get it out of my head.

Seether - I've Got You Under My Skin

Love this song.

Haven't always been into his music, but a select few of his are pretty darn good.

It's very slow for the most part and has a bit of a beaty bit which is nice.

Great lyrics, great voice and the feeling I get from it is very relaxing.

Awesome song!

The Submarines - Submarine Symphonika

I think I first heard this song on an advertisement. It was probably because of this song's starting segment playing in the background that compelled me to watch the advertisement. Later on, I went to download a game for the iPhone, and realized that the song is actually in that game as well!

The full song is as nice as I had expected it to be. The accompanying music is probably the strongest attraction of the entire song. What I really like about this song is mainly the accompanying music. The singer herself isn't all that bad either, in fact, she is good!

Perhaps, it's safe for me to say that I like the song totally, but nevertheless, I think I like the music accompanying the song more.

The Who - Happy Jack

Not my favourite song by the Who, but a great song never the less. The highlight of the song is definitely the bass and drumming. I think with this particular song the band was experimenting a bit with the roles that the instruments played. The guitar seems to take on a more subtle rhythmic function with the bass at the forefront of the music. Great song indeed!

Enrique Iglesias - Can You Hear Me

Haven't heard this in a long while, glad it's come up on my iTunes shuffle. It's definitely different from the other stuff I've heard from him. It's like he's literally screaming the lyrics to the chorus at times and that makes it sound so effective to me. Sounds like a summer song to me. Now I really hope this cold weather goes away. xD

Iyaz - Replay

Song really grinds on me, it's one of those that's repeated over and over again on radios and you get people singing it constantly. Not even the whole song either, just that one line "Shawty's like a melody in my head..." it gets extremely annoying after a while. I don't personally see what's so good about it, it's slightly better than the average RnB song but not by much.

Pressure, by Paramore.

:ryan: An all album repeat Paramore day today. Was well good. Currently Pressure is playing, great song, great lyrics. :D

10/10.

Kelly Clarkson - My Life Would Suck Without You

I'd been listening to specific kinds of music when I was writing before, so I'm glad to move on to some more light-hearted and fun stuff at last. Love the fact it's so upbeat as opposed to some music I hear nowadays. The electric guitars in the chorus are fantastic! Kelly's vocals are as flawless as ever, I wish I could sing like her.

Guren - the Gazette

10/10

This song is really amazing, Ruki's vocals are at top performance. Plus it's VK. Who doesn't love VK? =P
