Ellie Goulding & Erik Hassle - Be Mine

I prefer this cover and it's better than the original imo. Overall it's a fantastic song anyway but having a male-female duet puts a spin on the original. The lyrics are good and the vocals of both the people are pretty amazing, especially since their voices have a more rusty, realistic sound rather than being voice warped. Much better :ryan:

Lady GaGa Feat. Space Cowboy & Flo Rida - Starstruck

I really think this is one of the underrated songs from The Fame. Although it's ridiculously amazing, I still think it's worthy of being quite catchy. Having Flo Rida in there seemed just about right there. He blends well into GaGa's song. The music's weird, but that's to be expected with her as well.

Cheryl Cole ft. Will.I.Am- 3 Words

This song has divided me a little. I like Will.I.Am's part in the song and he proves that he is a capable singer in a love song like this, even though I found some of his lyrics distinctly odd and amusing. Coming from Cheryl, this is a very different kind of song to what I've been used to seeing and hearing her in. Cheryl's voice isn't bad, although not really up to scratch compared with other female solo artists I have heard. The song itself does however, get tedious after a bit due to how lengthy it really is.

Leona Lewis - Run

I still prefer this version over the Snow Patrol one, probably because it's got that little bit more emotion in the vocals. It seems so happy and appealing to me. I never used to understand the words at first, but I did after a while. It sounds like one of those love songs where you're faced with a tricky situation and this expresses how you feel. Even though it's over two years old, I'm still in love with it. Can't wait to see her perform this live in June.

True Faith 94 - New Order
It's quite a catchy poppy song, moreso than any of their other songs that I can think of off the top of my head. Unsurprisingly it's a song about drugs, however about drug dependency rather than about taking drugs. They lyrics are mostly metaphorical.
It's got a very good video too.

Beyonce - Halo

I've recently got into this song once again. I've listened to the lyrics more carefully now and I think they're more meaningful than ever, easily defining relationships/friendships between people. Beyonce's vocals are always beautiful, I love how she can go from low to high in a matter of seconds and vice versa all over again. Ryan Tedder's musical arrangement is fantastic, too.

"In For The Kill" by La Roux

Have heard this song more than once on the Bayonetta game commercial--not sure if I'd like the game or not, but the song intrigued me so I looked it up just now. The original version is a bit poppy for my tastes but the Skream remix has an awesome rhythm.

The Woods (Sleater-Kinney)

The first time I played this album, I almost fell off my chair in the opening seconds. It's a loud album, the music is much heavier and denser than their previous records. There's a lot more classic rock influence in it. And it's brilliant, the songs just bludgeon you into submission for the most part. The one-take eleven-minute long Let's Call It Love in particular always has me pogoing around the room like an idiot. A huge shame that it was their last album.

Birthday Sex Jeremih FT Fabolous
Great song very catchy. Jeremih has a great set of vocals IMO and this song is amazing XD. One of his most popular songs and I can see why xD idk I like him he's a good artist. Strange cos at first I didnt like it but after hearing it for a while it was out of my head :gasp:
This is what I want for my birthday ;) XD Just in case anyone wanted to know =P my birthday isn't too far XD. I kid kid.

Secondhand Serenade - Fall For You

Seems like quite an old song now, but who cares. It sounds good, rather romantic as well. Nevertheless, I happened to remember I had this song in my phone, and went on to play it as I revised. Couldn't help singing along to it after that. Killed my stress in this way.

t.A.T.u. - All The Things She Said

It's popped up out of nowhere from my iTunes shuffle and this is one of those songs I couldn't stop listening to when it was first released. I don't necessarily care for the concept of the video to it, but it's a strangely addictive song to hear. It just makes me listening with the girls' vocals and the music in the background. Nothing more to it than that, I guess.

Karnivool - All I Know

My personal favorite song from this band. I knew I would love this song the first time I heard it after hearing the first few seconds. The song has a really calm and smooth feel to it, I like the bass and the delay on the guitar but it's the vocals that keep me playing it over and over.

Kelly Clarkson - All I Ever Wanted

It's been a grower on me for quite a few months now. It reminds me of My December, but it's far better than the majority of that album and yet still has a similar sound. The lyrics are effective as well, it sorta sounds like a rockier version of Never Again and with slightly slowe lyrics. Love listening to it, definitely one of the best tracks from her last album.

俺達だけのファイティングソング (通称: ネバギバ) - Miyavi

I don't know what it says, or what he's singing, but Miyavi has a haunting voice and is extremely skilled at guitar-playing. I really look up to him as a musician. Most of his songs are full of amazing guitar actually, which I'm only recently realising.

Chris Brown - Crawl

I've had this song in my head all day at work and I kept wondering if I even got the lyrics right. Well, I got 90% of them right lol. It's my new favourite song at the moment and can see it's more than just Rihanna, but spreads a universal message to everyone. It's very inspirational and beautiful.

High School Musical 3- The Last Song

The song was so beautiful in the movie, so I had to listen to it again. It was awesome and It made me cry /jk. I liked the song and it really sends the message that High School Musical is over

Example- Won't Go Quietly

It's been a surprise hit for me, as it has crawled up to me and drilled itself into my head without me noticing. I find it strangely catchy and there is a Calvin Harris-like element to it. It's nothing amazing, but nevertheless a song that is rather enjoyable when not constantly played. Example himself does a rather decent job singing through it despite the fact he primarily raps.

Truesteppers & Dane Bowers Feat. Victoria Beckham - Out Of Your Mind

This was definitely the best song of 2000, can't believe it's 10 years old already! Doesn't sound too old by the sound of it. Randomly had it in my head before, so I downloaded it and am now listening to it in my iTunes. I only really like Dane in the song because he's got such an amazing voice. I really want him to get back into the industry.

mrnorth- "Speak No Evil"

A great song about the value of free speech, and how it's often suppressed by ridiculous social standards. They're an awesome Irish band that I saw years ago at a festival in Nashville, and after years of wanting it I finally got their CD yesterday :D The singer, Colin Smith, has a very pleasant voice, he actually sounds a tiny bit like Bono in a few places, but also has a very original sound.
