[V5] What are you currently listening to?

^ I actually like Keane; I wouldn't normally like that kind of music as much as others, but dad played it a lot so I kind of got used to it and started to enjoy their music.

Turning Page by Sleeping At Last. This is off of the Twilight: Breaking Dawn soundtrack - I don't really like the movies at all (the books are a bit better, but still trash), but the majority of the soundtracks I usually get or at least listen to a few times because they normally feature some good songs. I am in LOVE with this song, for example. It's really soppy, but something about it I just love. I listen to this track a lot when I'm feeling lonely and missing my boyfriend (Newly long distance relationships are great. Obviously.), it keeps me sane.

A while back someone posted about Homesick by ADTR. Sooo listening to that now, haha.

Within Temptation -- The Howling

Flyleaf -- Arise

Relient K -- I need you

It susprises me how much mainstream music sounds as if it contains religious influence. :ohshit:

^Relient K AND Flyleaf are both very christian based bands, they write A LOT of god/jesus songs, people just deny it. I know cuz i've been a fan of theirs since forever. :ari:

anyway,

I just listened to it three times in a row and I am beginning my forth. I love the really cool retro 80s synthesized keyboard vibe that the song starts off with. Makes me feel like I'm in a video game, but like, a cool 80s video game. The beat of his vocals is also really really cool. I love how he says "BROH-KEN B-OTTLES UNDER THE SINK" it's soooo addictive :gonk:

and that DAMN GUITAR SOLO. MY HEART :gonk: IT IS SOOOOO RADDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD :ari:

But my favorite part is also the part when he starts screaming "I DON'T WANT TO RELIVE THIS! I DON'T WANT TO RELIVE IT!" over and over again........ It's just sooo intense. That single part of the song is something I feel about my own life. Sometimes, crap happens again and again or you can't forget that one moment in your life that always haunts you and it just gains on you until you just can't help but scream out the same kind of desperate anguish as he is during that line of the song.

Maybe that's just me, though. :wacky:

It's a shame not as many people know them, they're a form of emotional support for me. :lew:

Addictive dubstep is addictive.

Yeah, I blame my one raver friend for secretly converting me into a closet dubstep fan.
I've never been to a rave in my life, but he swears the shit's fun. Guess I gotta get my ass to one in NYC at some point.
Also that drop in 0:57 is pretty freaking sick. :sup:

gotthard - remember its me

they have a new album coming out june 1rst with a new lead singer. the original vocalist died in a motorcycle accident in 2010

Suffocation - Crystal Castles.

There an electronica/experiemental duo from Toronto, Canada.
God, I listen to a lot of Canadian musicians/bands ... I find that fascinating.
Anyway, this track is from their second album. It's good stuff, I literally came across it on Youtube by accident.

Florence + the Machine- Cosmic Love

Not sure what it is about this band. I usually like more intensive, heavy guitar pieces, but recently, this band has just been doing all the right things to my musical tastes. Florence has a really powerful voice, and this ethereal refrain of her singing simple "ooooooh" sounds halfway through and at the end of the song is just amazing. The percussion, piano, melody, and vocals just make this the perfect song.

^ Agreed; I have a lot of love for Florence + The Machine.

Bubblegum Bitch by Marina & The Diamonds. I am loving the 'Electra Heart' album so much right now... This is the opening track, and it's so addictive in my opinion. Quite fast, and I love the way she says 'licka licka lips'. xD I find I'm not as into the tracks later on in the album, but still enjoy them. This is probably my favourite song off the album right now. :)

Motorhead - God Was Never On Your Side

Beautiful track which pretty much sums up ol' Lemmys views about a certain biblical badass.

Crystal Castles tend to steal things and give no credit along with abusing the creative commons license by taking the music and using it for commercial use.

Highly advise anyone to not support them at all.

I've been listening to a lot of Neon Trees lately. Listening to their 2007 demo, Drop Your Weapon. It sounds a lot different from their more recent stuff and it was actually a pretty good sound for them. Either way I like both styles of their music so it's fine :gasp:

Jimi Hendrix -- Red House

I like this style of teh blues moreso than other styles I've heard.

(-Wonders if *the blues* is an older, archaic, way of saying *emo*?- :hmmm:)

EDIT: At the beginning when Hendrix says: "awwww, yeah". It could be the historic first instance a music artist uses that phrase. Not 100% certain.

DEMI LOVATO - UNBROKEN

I know the beginning is kinda strange, but if you stick through that part you'll know how GREATTTTTTTTTTTTT OF A DANCE SONG IT IS T_T I swear, it is so catchy and SO epic... somehow :wacky: I love love loveeee the chorus. It's one of my fav dance songs to exercise to.

It doesn't hurt that the girl can ACTUALLY sing, too. It's strange to hear that with pop songs. :wacky:

Off To The Races - Lana Del Rey

I don't know what it is about her voice, but I find myself drawn to it. I mean, I heard her song "Video Games" on Sirius Radio(which I miss :sad3:) one time, and that peeked my interest. So, I decided to look her up at the time, and now that I've rediscovered her, this song has became my all-time favorite. Her voice is such a fucking great one. There is something about it that i love, but i can't put my finger on it. :hmmm:

And that's why I don't really buy their works if you catch my drift. :wacky:

I can't stop listening to this. It's been on repeat for like an hour now. I had forgotten how much I loved The Cab. ...Alex Marshall also ohoho damn son :ohoho:

...I mean I find him quite attractive. Ahem. :wacky:

National Anthem by Lana Del Rey.
This is my favourite song off of her debut album - I just like the flow of it, I guess. I heart Lana, her voice is just luscious (not to mention she looks perfect), and this album has impressed me more than I thought it would. But yeah, this is my favourite song, but I can't quite put my finger on why. :/

To Paint The Sky - The Ghost

a cool new band out of seattle. kinda paramore-esc, but i feel they will come into their own over time
