i've seen alot of ignorant comments,vids, and childish pics made bout her calling her a whore ECT.they're mad cuz she didnt pick Riku after all he has done 4 her but...look at what hes done!!!Plus u cant help who u love despite how much someone has done 4 u..but come on, Sora sacrificed himself for her Back on topic...They say shes a weak idiot cuz she got kidnapped twice! well if she was weak she would`ve waited 2 yrs for sora and she cares alot bout riku...just dont have any feelings...so why hate her..?mostly it's those crazy RikuxSora fans that blame Kairi for "ruining their precious yaoi". People are always saying things like Kairi is an annoying *****, and I just don't get it. Never in the entire game is there one example of her being *****. Nor, is she annoying. What, are people really going to play the "she's too girly' card? She IS a girl, a princess even, who has never been trained to fight. Blame her for not having masterful martial arts skills and liking the color pink? What is wrong with people. Kairi haters can be so immature. The only nice one I've run to admitted they dislike Kairi because they thought she was boring, and she just didn't appeal to them. That's an opinion I can respect.Something that's made-up and stupid, that I have no respect for.

Thank God for this thread. <3 I have Kairi ranted many times throughout my days, haha. I haven't done so in awhile, though. Kairi is one of my favorite characters--- she's so strong willed and sweet. Though we don't catch much of her personality in KH1, she sure does make up for it in KH2.

Now, mostly it's those crazy RikuxSora fans that blame Kairi for "ruining their precious yaoi". Well, I admit to being a huge RikuxSora fan. However, I have never hated Kairi or thought something as ridiculous as hating Kairi for the supposed 'ruining' of my preferred pairing. : / People are always saying things like Kairi is an annoying bitch, and I just don't get it. Never in the entire game is there one example of her being bitch. Nor, is she annoying. What, are people really going to play the "she's too girly' card? so wtf? and kairi is a princess and she had to be like the other princesses shown in kh...though in dead fantasy..shes a fighter lmao

they are just making up excuses cause they just dont like her
for her looks, or cause she has sora
they need to grow up!!
 
I haven't played Kingdom Hearts, but I will say this...

People will hate on ANY main female character in a game or anime. I'm not sure why, but they just do. Probably because...

1. They think the girl is a damsel in distress.
2. She "gets in the way of their yaoi."
3. They think she can't fight.
4. ZOMG SHE IZ TEH UGLIEZ!!11!one!!
5. Lol, they may even be jealous of said girl.

Here is a video from a Kairi hater, and I'm sure you can find tons more videos like this with any girl.

Like I said before, I've never played KH, I'm just saying that all female characters will get bashed. :monster:
 
Hehehe the only main reason i hate Kairi (if this is true) is teh fact she's nomine's counterpart.. she ruined a perfectly good yaoi couple *grins* Bash me for reason number 2 XD

Siriously though, I dont praise her, but i wish they made her a bit tougher. Im all for female characters just... please... dont make them sissy's.. girls can kick a men ass without a second though XD

I LIKE KAIRI she is the sweetest girl other than Namine and Aerith that i seen in Kingdom Hearts she is my favorite girl character in Kingdom Hearts. I think people hate Kairi because she can be annoying and obessive toward Sora(my guess).
 
I always liked her, it was Sora I didn't like :wacky:

Her and Riku would have been soo much better together, but alas that's not the way it works

Can't say I understand why people hate her, she never did antything that stood out to me as annoying..infact you barely see her that much throughout the games. I guess the only thing that would irritate me about her, is Sora going on about her. But then, I don't like Sora so... :wacky:
 
hrmm i havent played kh 1 but i found that kairi was a very important piece b/c she in my opiniion was the driving force behind sora to find riku and for riku to resist the darkness if that makes any sense. Sora to me was alright but i liked Roxas yayahah with two keyblades and no form BA! anyway i found kairi pretty improtant and i wished she could have been in the party like riku was when you fought xemnas
 
I don't exactly hate her but I don't like her that much too.She's an okay character,she never ruined my Yaoi,because I didn't have one to begin with and can't see any reasons of making a Riku x Sora pairing when it's just so obvious that they're friends and Sora is obviously attracted to Kairi(he hugged her in KH1 and gets really emotional when it comes to her.Of course I may also be wrong).I prefer Namine though,even if it's almost the same person,which is not in my opinion.
If the creators gave Kairi the chance I bet she would make a good fighter,maybe they'll do in future KH games.Don't forget she's only 15(?),and please don't her with other anime girls cause she's in a game to begin with.
 
I have never come across any of this Kairi hate and I can't see why they would be hating on her. As far as I am concerned she has never done anything annoying, nor bitchy. As far as her ruining a possible SoraxRiku relationship well thats crap.

1. Sora and Riku aren't ever going to get it on, unless in fan art >_>
2. I never felt any love/romantic relationship between Sora and Kairi. Maybe a little crush, but to me those two had a stronger bond. I think because it is aimed at a younger audience they wanted to focus on friendship instead of love. I think its nicely conveyed in this story without having a stupid love story take away from the plot.

I think as a friendship group Sora is the glue/bond, he keeps them together. I think the group revolves around the friendship they have for Sora. Sure Kairi and Riku are friends, great friends in fact. But I think its Sora's, hmm what would you call it 'light' which makes him stand out in the group. Maybe when they are a bit older a romantic connection will evolve, but for the time being I just think they are exceptionally close friends, well actually sort of family.

I really don't see why people hate these characters, I think its a really nice portrayal of friendship and loyalty.
 
I'm a yaoi fan and happily endorsing my Riku/Sora fanclub here on FFF, but I don't hate Kairi at all. Yes, shocking isn't it? Not all yaoi fans will bash females "in the way of our yaoi pairings" so please don't group me as such ;)

Kairi is a cute character, girlie but no too girlie, shown to have much resolve and even as a princess isn't really damsel in distress even though she became comatose for most of KH1, and you know, she's not even in the games that much that you have anything you wanna hate about her :huh:
 
Did dislike her a few years ago, used to dislike her because she took Riku's aid for granted which was pretty annoying.

Whenever Riku risked his own skin to save her, Kairi would basically pretend he's not even there, or not say anything.

Though played through KH2 and she does seem to help Riku alot and is more thankful/ helpful towards him, and was rather caring.

Kairi is the most non-shallow girl around, she can't fight but she has a pretty strong heart, that would be friends with anybody and wouldn't judge a single soul no matter what they looked like.

Think that Kairi is actually a pretty good role model to follow as for younger female players of the Kingdom Hearts series.

I like her, i dont understand people hating games characters 0_0 :P Kairi is cool, but because of her Sora and Riku are rivals! ;p
 
I like Kairi. To me,she was an interesting character. I like how she deeply cares for Sora and waits for him. I also like her personality,how she is carefree,but can be serious when needed. I agree with you about Riku. You can't help who you love. Kairi is just suppose to automatically love Riku because he helps her out so much and loves her? No,that's not how love works. You don't just automatically love someone because of that. I respect that she did not lead Riku on,and that she kept her love for Sora strong. I like Riku,and I did feel bad for him when he would try so hard,but in the end he did realize that she loved Sora.

I don't understand why people dislike Kairi so much either or take their dislike of her so far.
 
People always get on her back for not showing Riku "The love he deserves", well that's not right. Riku is extremely important to her, as she is to him. But her love belongs to Sora because of what they've been through. Riku being a bit older has to realize that Kaira spent more time with Sora, playing in the secret cave, talking by the sunset, or whatever.

And after Sora actually gave up his own heart to save Kaira, she knew that he loved her too. Sure Riku tried just as hard to save her, but he took the path of darkness to do so. I like Riku, dont get me wrong. But he has to realize that Sora and Kaira are just meant to be.

People probably think Kairi is rather bimbo-ish, also she practically tears apart Riku and Sora as they are both trying to save her in different ways. Also she's considered weak, but in the parts where she IS conscious, she's a very strong-minded person. She loves Sora and Riku in different ways and people might find that hard to accept.
