[RP]Crystalius

(OOC: So I guess Squee's haveing his moment then ^_^ And Laleth isn't with us anymore Tipsy :/)

Disaster Sir Revilo. Miss Rune has attacked Ronafure and in their process, the town has been obliterated. Lady Alissa activated something in the Tower of Spirits but i have no idea what she had said to me, so i am trying to find out information at the Siard library, as per her instruction.

Revilo had taken this all in. Could this Rune be the cause of his sister's death? Is she the one to blame? "Then I guess it means Bithians are out of the question." Revilo mumbled.

If he had it his way being taught from a Bithian on how to use magic would have been much better. But the library held many books. "Since she was sent here it must be fore a purpose." Revilo spoke quietly before introducing the two women. "Akira this is Mary. Mary, Akira."

He had almost forgotten to introduce the two but had many things on his mind when a slightly familiar girl came near.
"So we meet again,"
Revilo by default drew his Saksore sword from it's hilt and stared intently at Rune, the girl responsible for his sister's demise. Unfortunately as he stared in anger the blade shook in his hand unsteady and he lowered it walking out. "You..."

Library Scripture
- Revilo, Akira, Mary
- a book called the "The Mana Origins" lies await in the library for you to find. It lies beyond the maze of books in the Magical Arts sectio.

Fight or Convince? - Rune
- You have once again run into familiar people. Will you engage in battle here? Or will you convince them to join your cause?

Insofar as Rune is concerned, the distaste and hatred emanating from Revilo's being meant little. What really mattered more was their intentions. Maybe, her own conscience and feelings as well, but having steeled her heart, it was merely a fleeting thought.

"Me. Here I am, Rune Realmroamer. The very same one that you know. It is my pleasure to meet you all again," said the girl with a light tinge of sarcasm.

Shrugging casually, she looked over to Akira, she did something that was rather out of character. She sneered,"You have no right to know that."

Yet she couldn't resist.

"My people, the Agima," She says this in an almost haughty manner. "Have forged an alliance with the Demons of this village. Together, we will take down the Thelmacians."

Then, smiling softly, she eyed Revilo, Akira and the other two companions whom she did not recognize - save for Laleth.

"But I wonder. Will you be for, or against this cause?"

Rune snapped her fingers as she said that, and the air in the air chilled immediately. A prelude to her spell, the Blizzard Veil, no doubt. If it eventually boiled down to a battle, she was going to have to unleash her full magical arsenal. She was outnumbered, and even if her power was immense, she didn't like the idea of risks.

"The choice is yours."

"Me. Here I am, Rune Realmroamer. The very same one that you know. It is my pleasure to meet you all again,"

Revilo clenched his teeth he hated how calm she could be. How easily she could just walk here without a moment's notice. He remembered seeing her at Hautou just as Akira reminded. If he has stopped her, would his sister be alive?

"My people, the Agima, have forged an alliance with the Demons of this village. Together, we will take down the Thelmacians."

Revilo lowered his weapon. If what she said was true, then her enemies would become the village's enemy as well. They were out witted. "So that's what you plan to do." he spoke quietly, backing up with the other two.

"But I wonder. Will you be for, or against this cause?"

After receiving news that the monsters from the Spirit tower had risen to attack Thelmacain cities, it would be the ideal moment to take down the Thelma government. With them gone there wouldn't be restrictions on magic, no racism towards those different than humans, a Thelma free world would only be the starting step to freedom. Revilo thought, he didn't know what to do. She should he kill the woman who's trying to make a better outcome possible to avenge his sister? Or should he let her go and change the world as she saw fit? No, he would keep doing what he wanted. "I could care less." Revilo spoke.

With that he turned and walked through the aisles towards the Magical Arts section, the thought pounding in his head that his sister's death was all his fault...

It was just as well that Revilo chose ignorance. And it was not because it meant bliss to Rune, but because she was outnumbered, nevertheless, with two known magic users, no less. Rune may have over a century worth of experience in her, but she wasn't planning on putting it to the test. Furthermore, this 'experience' laid in the creation of spells, not its usage.

Still, Rune was quietly curious about Revilo's thoughts. Why let her free when just a minute ago, he looked as if he was about to come at her with the intent to kill?

"Is that so? Well then."

Without bothering so much as to look to his other companions, Rune walked on after Revilo, calling off her spell as she did.

As she came up close to Revilo, she added,"Don't think too much. We just happen to be walking the same way."

She had no idea what she was looking for, but a library meant a wealth of information. Surely there would be a book that helped further her own research, and also shed some light on the recent happenings.

Mary looked on at the argument between Revillo and this witch, Rune. Mary was angry over the fact that she was the one responsible for the death of Revilos sister. But she had a common goal to defeat the Thelmacains. It probably was not wise to fight her in combat, as she is way out of Mary's league.

Turning away, Mary went ahead to follow Revillo into the Magical Arts section, but while he was looking for magic to revive her sister, she would pick up a few books and tomes to take with her to an old table. Many of the books seem old, but hopefully whatever knowledge may help her learn a few base spells.

Mary took what Revillo said into mind. "What you do for the most part is feel the energy inside you...once you focus it anything's possible with it's uses." After having that line said in her head multiple times, she began reading the material.

"What is this?! I demand to be let go!" Laleth yelled kicking and pulling at the guards which escorted her back to Idunblime.

Her hands were bound behind her back and she was being forcefully pushed along the woods to the road back to her castle. "You surely haven't noticed by now?" the voice of the female in ripped white robes addressed.

Laleth gazed closer at the woman, she looked familiar, but her voice had changed deep and rough since they left the Demon village. She regretted ever leaving, she regretted falling into this trap. "Your Queen Aschson?" Laleth guessed remembering the vile maiden's looks which bore a striking resemblance with her aunt.

"You're halfway correct." the woman said. They stopped walking and the castle of Earoke had cast it's shadow in their direction from behind them. "We have not formally met yet Miss Aires. Indeed, this was Queen Aschson's vessel, but her soul has long gone back to the earth."

Laleth stared at the animated corpse of her aunt walking towards her. Not only were her clothes torn, but through one of the tears, the body's ribcage had become clearly visible. Laleth screamed and one of the soldiers clasped his hand around her mouth. The corpse had a red glow about it's eyes and as it stepped over her way she couldn't help but look away. "I am the ruler of this great nation. Do you dare look away from your cousin?"

"Thelma the IXth" Laleth spoke in muffled tones.

One of the guards released his hands and she couched for air. "But you can use magic?" Laleth spoke in surprise.

She knew of the danger's of magic, especially dark magic. Never had she seen anything as horrid as this. "Please good girl. Be quiet and take your rightful place on the throne of Thelmacain." The corpse spoke in a raspy voice.

Laleth's eyes widened she was scared, but she couldn't forget her bravery. She wasn't going to give up her life so easily this time. "I don't want to be your queen or any royal anything!" Laleth spoke struggling against her bondage.

"You have no choice." the corpse whispered. "I'm not letting you go this time."

Laleth tried, but had given up struggling. the corpse of her aunt's lifeless body being reanimated was already making her nauseous. "Oh yeah why not?" Laleth spoke with watering eyes and a voice that was breaking with each glimpse of the dead queen. "You have magic, power and anything else you could ever want."

She screamed as one of the guards began to drag her along the road again.

"Yes" echoed the voice of emperor Thelmacain "but I don't have-"

"A Crystalius is not an artifact or a technique that can be learned."
Revilo mumbled in the library.

Rows away he could see Mary reading also. Rune had followed them inside here as well. He was holding a copy of "Origins of Mana" open in his palm and reading, he face serious and determined. It would take him a while but he would certainly translate the old text no matter how long it took or how much work obtaining a Crystalius was. He had been reading for a while and tucked the book into a pocket of his.

Walking over to Mary he glanced at her to see how her progress was coming along. "You know...These abilities and spells don't mean much unless you practice them." he muttered.

A rest like this was what he needed. The sky had turned to evening and would be darkening very soon. "I think I know where to get the answer to this." He spoke softly. "But I'll need some help. I need to know if you could come with me on a mission. Hopefully you and Akira wouldn't mind."

Revilo shifted his position and stood beside Mary. "It seems that Earoke is the most technologically advanced place on earth. There's no doubt that they would know more information about this. It may sound crazy but...I think that if anyone has a Crystalius or whatever it is, they would have it locked away somewhere heavily guarded."

Revilo now spoke to them all. "Will anybody help me?"

He would do this, even if he had to do it alone. It was Thelmacain's harsh rule that had pushed tensions to this point. And it was the Thelmacain kingdom that needed to go down.

Side story-Saethos

While the others went for their individual books, Rune found herself absorbed in a book entitled 'Spell Crafters'. What was amusing wasn't just the title, but the fact that the book seemed to be recording details of her magical research. It became apparent to her then that her studies of magic hadn't been lost to history.

"Summons an icy storm that blinds the enemy," Rune mumbled, amused by the resemblance to her Blizzard Veil spell - which she actually believes is the subject of discussion in the book.

Just then, Revilo started talking. Her attention was still on the book, but she listened in from time to time, managing to catch the more important snippets of their conversation - and it caught her interest. She had no idea what a Crystallius was, but she believed it might be helpful to her mission. From further eavesdropping, she understood their next course of action would be to go to Earoke.

She crossed her arms, deep in thought. If the army were to strike Seliothe as originally planned, it would, no doubt, put the cities around on high alert. This meant Earoke as well. But Rune wanted a portion of whatever they reap from their mission. It gave rise to an idea that she promptly voiced out.

"Well, I certainly would like to help," She said, in a rather disinterested voice. She obviously had no intent to help Revilo. "And I have a condition. Whatever you find, I want a part of it. Looking at our current size, I suppose it will be fair to at least give me a quarter of what you find, whatever it may be."

Smiling smugly, and having stated her conditions, she began explaining how she would help.

"Earoke, like you've mentioned is one of the most technologically advanced cities, yes? And if your theory about the Crystallius being stored there is correct, then we're looking at tight security, and really tight, if I may so add. Well, I can help ease that, but only if you agree to my plans."

She looked to Revilo, putting her book aside.

As Mary continued reading through magical usage and theory, learning the form of a wind spell that could be shaped into a blade and thrown as a projectile towards a target.

"You know...These abilities and spells don't mean much unless you practice them."

"Yeah, I guess."
Mary muttered back. She knew he was right after all, and although the fact scared her a little, she knew that it can't be avoided.

"I think I know where to get the answer to this. But I'll need some help. I need to know if you could come with me on a mission. Hopefully you and Akira wouldn't mind."

"What are you planning to achieve?"

"It seems that Earoke is the most technologically advanced place on earth. There's no doubt that they would know more information about this. It may sound crazy but...I think that if anyone has a Crystalius or whatever it is, they would have it locked away somewhere heavily guarded."

"Well, I certainly would like to help," Mary looked over to Rune, who probably had her own plan in mind. "And I have a condition. Whatever you find, I want a part of it. Looking at our current size, I suppose it will be fair to at least give me a quarter of what you find, whatever it may be."

She closed her eyes to think of the situation. Rune could be a big help. She had similar intentions as everyone here, they wanted to end the Thelmacain Empire, the root of all of their grief and misery.

"Earoke, like you've mentioned is one of the most technologically advanced cities, yes? And if your theory about the Crystallius being stored there is correct, then we're looking at tight security, and really tight, if I may so add. Well, I can help ease that, but only if you agree to my plans."

"Rune, may I ask a question?"
Mary said, wondering what her intentions really are. "You said that you intended to take down the Thelmacains. Surely, you and I have the same objective in mind. But..." Mary closed the book in front of her. "But, then what...are you going to replace one autocrat with another. Become just as much a tyrant as he is?" She spoke softly, but carried much anger in her voice.

Admittedly, Mary had a good point. In the end, while Rune fought to bring her people up from the depths of shame that the Thelmacians had thrown them into, she was also fighting with a personal vendetta. She hadn't thought about it much, but right then, the realization that arose and sank in struck a deep, resonating note in her mind.

Overthrowing the Thelmacian Empire was a certainty, but usurping was not. She realized she would not be any better than the Thelmacians. It would be history repeated, only this time, the Humans were the ostracized ones.

Smirking wryly, Rune shrugged,"Well, that remains to be seen."

Opting for an arrogant demeanor, she tilted her head sideways, regarding Mary with an uncaring expression. Rune had noticed the anger in her voice, and was capitalizing on it. She didn't want to compromise any serious chances of cooperation with the group, especially if the so-called Crystallius they sought did exist.

She may not know what it does, but whatever it was, it piqued her interest.

"So, will you agree to my plans? With me, I can guarantee you a journey that is more likely to reach its intended destination. Without me, I can assure you your journey to the Crystallius is near-impossible. So what will it be? Risk or riskier?"

It was a bluff, but a well delivered one.

"Well, that remains to be seen."

"That's not good enough."
Mary thought in her head. "Not after killing innocent people, that's not good enough."

"So, will you agree to my plans? With me, I can guarantee you a journey that is more likely to reach its intended destination. Without me, I can assure you your journey to the Crystallius is near-impossible. So what will it be? Risk or riskier?"

Mary knew that by letting her in their group, she would have free reign to get whatever she needed to continue her campaigns. Still the decision fell to Revillo. "I still can't trust you yet, but it is not my decision to make, but the decision I am going to make, is that I will go with you Revilo. After all, you said it yourself, my abilities won't mean much unless I practice, and what better way to do it than on the field?"

I think I know where to get the answer to this. But I'll need some help. I need to know if you could come with me on a mission. Hopefully you and Akira wouldn't mind."

Akira didn't min. She needed time to sort out the chaos that her world just plunged into. Maybe a side trip or something to do could take her mind off it and calm herself... Akira found herself leafing through books to see if anything would help her understand what Lady Alissa said and what she intended to do

It seems that Earoke is the most technologically advanced place on earth. There's no doubt that they would know more information about this. It may sound crazy but...I think that if anyone has a Crystalius or whatever it is, they would have it locked away somewhere heavily guarded. Will anybody help me?"

I suppose i can lend a hand... i am in need of some time and perhaps Earoke may contain more information as to what the Lady was talking about...

"Well, I certainly would like to help, and I have a condition. Whatever you find, I want a part of it. Looking at our current size, I suppose it will be fair to at least give me a quarter of what you find, whatever it may be. Earoke, like you've mentioned is one of the most technologically advanced cities, yes? And if your theory about the Crystallius being stored there is correct, then we're looking at tight security, and really tight, if I may so add. Well, I can help ease that, but only if you agree to my plans."

Akira stiffened up. Rune seemed to have joined Revilo's cause... with conditions of her own. Who knows what she plans to to with her share, particularly if it was going to hurt her fellow Bithians, but in her current state, Akira could not confront Rune and if she is to come along, the only thing she could do was bite down her mistrust.

"You said that you intended to take down the Thelmacains. Surely, you and I have the same objective in mind. But...But, then what...are you going to replace one autocrat with another. Become just as much a tyrant as he is?"

,"Well, that remains to be seen. So, will you agree to my plans? With me, I can guarantee you a journey that is more likely to reach its intended destination. Without me, I can assure you your journey to the Crystallius is near-impossible. So what will it be? Risk or riskier?"

"I still can't trust you yet, but it is not my decision to make, but the decision I am going to make, is that I will go with you Revilo. After all, you said it yourself, my abilities won't mean much unless I practice, and what better way to do it than on the field?"

It was good that there was someone else that doesnt trust Rune. At least Mary here could help Akira keep Rune in check if she does turn on the group. Admittingly, Akira was worried about Rune. She is a Bithian. An officer at that. Having Rune, the leader of this new faction of hers doesnt fill her with trust to sleep openly with her back exposed. There was nothing she could do. If Revilo lets her come along, then she comes along.

When do we leave? Do we need further research here?

Akira had pocketed several books that seem relevant to what she wanted to know. Akira did not want to let Rune know what she is looking up, lest she accidentaly reveal something to an adversary.

(OOC: I kinda assumed the cheif village guy took his troops and left with RUne's troops by this time. I hope that's okay with you Ras.)

Revilo's chest seemed to get lighter as Mary and Akira accepted his invitation of his. But as the witch Rune also extended her help his sinking feeling had gotten deep again. He felt as though he could lash out at any minute, but the consequence would end with himself and the others being surrounded by the allies of the witch.

Not only had this witch turned greedy but she also had conditions of her own, conditions of which were greedy to her own heart's content. What exactly could he have done in that moment? What should he have done? Revilo thought often to himself about this but could not find an answer.

"You said that you intended to take down the Thelmacains. Surely, you and I have the same objective in mind. But...But, then what...are you going to replace one autocrat with another. Become just as much a tyrant as he is?"

Mary's voice had brought reason, and an even better thought for Revilo to promise on. He thought deeply. She wouldn't have to worry about another ruler. Nobody would have to worry about another tyrant once the Thelmacains were completely taken care of.

"Well, that remains to be seen.

"Right well, I'm glad to hear you and Akira will accompany me." Revilo said.

Revilo turned to Rune and stood tall, his hand itching for his rapier. "As for you....I'll accept your terms and in return if we don't find this Crystalius to bring back my sister, I'll have to kill you."

With that being said, there were no more misunderstandings. The evening sun was about to set and they would need to hurry if they were to arrive by nightfall. Revilo walked out of the library motioning the others to follow when he suddenly caught sight of something: A thick gray fog blanketed the village and everything was still.

The sun was not completely gone and light could be seen from the opposite side of the mist. Stepping out slowly he looked back to give the girls a sign of caution, but he could barely see their features in the fog. The air was dry, it had not been raining. The smell of the air had become slightly foul as well.

On the ground his boot had accidentally stepped on something. It was a hand of a being, whether human or demon Revilo knelt down to chek it out, but the hand was only connected to it's arm and nothing else. A growl from the left and shrieks later from the village had him in arms. "Careful everyone, there's something here." he said as a Thelmacain shield hit him hard from the side knocking him into a nearby hut.

Revilo had risen remembering the Thelma emblazoned symbol engraved in the shield. "Thelma soldiers here?" he asked.

What had come towards him through the fog however was neither human nor demon. It stood ten feet, possessed bulging muscles, and it's limbs were distorted. Revilo drew his rapier at the sight of it, for he wanted to be able to make quick work of the approaching beast. The sight of the creature made Revilo back up, as it's two rows of bared teeth were stained with blood.

Event

The Mist - Mary, Akira, Rune, Revilo, Seathos
- There's something lurking in the mist attacking villagers of Siard village. Leave the village to escape the fog or stay indoors to await death. Maybe fight off the creatures invading the village? Whatever you do just don't die.

[OOC: No problem, Oli. Hehe. I like that last thing she said to your character. If someone was eavesdropping, it can be easily misunderstood.]

"As for you....I'll accept your terms and in return if we don't find this Crystalius to bring back my sister, I'll have to kill you."

Rune smiled. "If you think you can, then come for me. I'll be waiting, patiently, in fact."

She still had no clear idea as to why Revilo would harbor so much hatred for her. Thinking his sister must be the reason, and the Crystallius was meant to do that, she shrugged off the threat. Inevitably, she started wondering about what she would do with the Crystallius after she gotten hold of it - but she promptly decided to put it off.

With that, the group started to leave the library. Rune quickly placed the book back in its original position and followed after them. But outside, there was something mysterious happening. And it wasn't the movements of troops either. By this time, the Demon troops, as well as her own, should already be moving out. Yet, there, hung in the village, was a thick fog.

Stepping into the fog, Rune realized it definitely impaired their senses, for she no longer saw as clearly as she did before. Not forgetting to mention a foul smell in the air. It unsettled Rune and put her on edge as she followed behind Revilo as closely as possible.

It didn't take long for something to happen. Rune was walking behind Revilo cautiously, when suddenly, he was hit by something and sent flying off into a nearby hut. The witch promptly snapped her fingers, as a circle of flames danced around her hands. Looking to the threat, she realized it wasn't human nor demon.

What manner of being this was was a question unanswered. Though, it wasn't a question Rune was keen to answer. All she wanted to do was to get rid of this monstrosity. No doubt, if this monstrosity pursued them, it will end up striking the armies from behind.

But that was her problem, she needed to help deliver the others to Earoke quickly.

"Revilo, people. I'm not sure how long this monstrosity is going to hold us up. If you're going to Earoke, you best hurry. And I never quite got to tell you the plan, did I?"

Rune quickly swung her hands in the direction of the monster, sending tongues of flames at it with the intention to distract.

"The Agima and Demons have united, and they will take down the city closest to us, Seliothe. We intend to conquer the city in the swiftest manner possible, such that news would not travel too far, and from there, 'call for reinforcements' from Earoke, which is it's closest ally. That will help reduce the number of security, and in fact, lead them to strengthen the security of the city in general, and most probably less of whatever they may be guarding."

Folding her hands together, she promptly felt the cold engulf the area. She was preparing her spell, Blizzard Veil.

"But whatever it is, the army is already on it's way, and you guys should hurry and get in before they close their gates. When they finally hear of the attack and the request for support, they might do that. So, you haven't much time. You can leave this monster to me."

Then, she unleashed her spell, Blizzard Veil, for the first time since her last use of it, which was quite a while back. Suddenly, it became even harder to see as a magical blizzard started raging around her harmlessly, mixing in with the mist.

Taking this chance to walk to Revilo, she tried to salvage whatever remains of her repute.

"You seem to hate me because of your sister. But what can I say? I don't exactly know what happened to her, or whether it was the result of my actions. And don't get your hopes too high. Life and death is predestined. Irregardless, you still have me if that fails. I'll be waiting."

Mary put the stack of books back in their respective spaces. She managed to absorb as much as she could read in mind, but as Revilo said, she needed to practice with it.

Mary followed Revilo and Rune out of the library and into a fog. Visibility was poor, but she was trained to use more than her sight t accurately take down her opponent. Drawing out her bow, she put an arrow on the knock and prepared herself for any situation. The village reeked of death, and it was as if the chance that someone ould sneak up on them.

Without warning, a flying shield flew towards Revilo and knocked him aside, causing Rune to conjure up flames which surrounded her hands.

"Revilo, people. I'm not sure how long this monstrosity is going to hold us up. If you're going to Earoke, you best hurry. And I never quite got to tell you the plan, did I?"

Mary didn't know what plan she was saying, so she took to listening.

"The Agima and Demons have united, and they will take down the city closest to us, Seliothe. We intend to conquer the city in the swiftest manner possible, such that news would not travel too far, and from there, 'call for reinforcements' from Earoke, which is it's closest ally. When they finally hear of the attack and the request for support, they might do that. So, you haven't much time. You can leave this monster to me."

Mary nodded, saying to Revilo after Rune told him something, "Come on you guys, let's get out of here! I've got your back!" She continued pointing the arrow in the direction away from Revilo, hoping that they don't get caught in a second ambush.

"Revilo, people. I'm not sure how long this monstrosity is going to hold us up. If you're going to Earoke, you best hurry. And I never quite got to tell you the plan, did I?"
"Well what is it?" Revilo spoke as he swung his rapier threateningly at the beast.

But he couldn't let a girl take on such a beast by herself. "Don't be foolish." He said as he jabbed his rapier in at the dark lump that had just come running through the fog towards them. "You're trying to play off a good con gone bad. What if your plans include innocent people getting hurt?"

"You seem to hate me because of your sister. But what can I say? I don't exactly know what happened to her, or whether it was the result of my actions. And don't get your hopes too high. Life and death is predestined. Irregardless, you still have me if that fails. I'll be waiting."

"It was your fault. My sister got killed all for your cause. You slaughter innocent people in villages just to have it your way huh?" Revilo spoke in anger, jabbing the rapier once more into the dying beast.
"I'm only leaving you alive until the Thelmacain rule is destroyed."

=========================================================

"You mean they're already out there?" Kethos asked as he walked back and forth from the base.

Luckily Reyu and Remus would be long gone for now, never to return, for he had reported them both dead. "The subjects were failed. I did what I could to make use of them." The Thelmacain head of science department lady Veska spoke as she walked with a white lab coat and a clipboard. "Remember general Kethos, my project had succeeded before. It can do so again."

General Kethos grunted he did not like the idea of creating super soldiers. All around him the laboratory shined bright with tubes filled with strange liquids. Inside the tubes he could only make out what were humans. "King Thelma IX gave you this request? To turn innocent people into mutants-"

"Don't namecall sir these are crucial and vital pieces to defending our kingdom in it's time of need." Ms. Veska interrupted.

"Then what do you call them?" Kethos asked. "And the worst was you sent them out into the Eastern continent. You could have killed innocent people."

"Oh please dear Kethos, nothing on that continent is innocent I assure you." She looked up from her work to address the general. "Does this look like some kind of pity game to you? We are in a war here, fighting a battle against gods and demons who want to kill ups in return. This is survival of the fittest."

Kethos stood firm as the stern looking scientist walked closer menacingly. "Our goal is to survive, if you can't get that then you can kill yourself here and now because Thelma will always win."

A small air of silence crept over the laboratory in which they stood. Kethos turned away and strode over toward the tubes. Genetically modified soldiers in the labs of Earoke were the least of his troubles for now.

OOC: I'll just time skip forward a bit, in that time, Saethos was getting his ass kicked...And my story isn't over just yet.

Taking a hard right hook in the side of his face, Saethos was not in desire to fight back. Instead, he would take everything Arusa had for him. Eventually, Saethos' card of fate fell to the ground. Arusa hadn't noticed it at first and hit Saethos a few more times, as hard as he could. Once he did notice it, he completely stopped. Picking up the card and examining it, he became even more serious than he already was.

"You...You...You stole Gorgo's card! GET THE HELL OUT OF HERE!" It was true, that card had previously belonged to Saethos' dead friend Gorgo. Saethos decided he'd best do as he was told and get out. He did so, and his next reaction was to find Rune, despite that he was clearly beaten.

Unfortunate there seemed to be some mist. Having been in the loud room, he hadn't noticed any changes. The fog was thick, and it was very difficult to see anything. Lucky for Saethos, he had wings that could give him a birds eye view of everything. He launched himself into the air and beat his wings as he started to head to where he thought he could find the others. Regardless of having a clearer view that everyone else, he still had trouble seeing what was on the ground. Because of this, his first instinct was to shout. "Rune! If you can hear me, yell back!" He would then follow the sound.

[OOC: Hm, I'm assuming there're more than one of those monsters? Not so sure myself, so I'll just avoid mention of those. :D]

"Why, thank you for trusting my powers so much," Rune remarked sarcastically. "I suppose it is my fault after all, and for that, you do have the right to come after me when it all ends. I'm not going to stop you."

Then, bringing her Blizzard Veil spell to full force, she felt the chilly winds whip against her face before turning to Revilo. "Can you feel this? It can be worse, you know, and it can affect who I want, and leave out who I don't want to hurt. I won't let these monstrosities near the village. And you will trust me on this? Why? Logically speaking, this village belongs to my new ally, the Chief of Siard. Allies should help one another, no? How do you think he'll react when he realized his new ally ignored his village, and villagers?"

Stepping towards Revilo, Rune began attempting to push him in the direction of his other companions - though she would probably not be able to achieve much physically with her small frame. "Like I said before, you haven't much time. Put your faith on logic, and in saving your sister, because if you stay here any longer, you're that much closer to losing any chance at reviving her."

Just as she said that, a familiar voice called out to her.

"Rune! If you can hear me, yell back!"

"There you go Revilo. I'm not alone in defending the village. Now could you stop wasting time here and just move along? I don't care if you want my life, or anything else for that matter. Just think straight and realize now that the best thing you could do is to leave the village, and hurry to whatever you seek."

She said all these in hushed whispers, in the most menacing tone she could muster, before yelling back to Saethos,"I am here!"

Saethos heard Rune yell back to him, just as he had asked her to. Now he knew where she was because by coincidence, she wasn't that far and he was able to recognize the cold chill being something of Rune's. Folding his wings back, he started to fall to the ground, but about halfway down, he used his wings to soften his fall, making his landing much lighter. Unsure of what was going on, Saethos began to look around despite the heavy fog.

Judging from the serious feel to the people around he, he figured best not to say anything just yet.

OOC This is all I can think to do.

Akira did not care for what Rune had said. To turn one's sword on her own people, even if it is tofurther their goal is unacceptable to her. hat oppression was no better than the tyrants they were going against. Regardless (XD, no such word as irregardless, as it is a double negative), this was not the time. They needed to leave and exhaustion fatigue was going to set in soon should the combat prolong too long. She swung her swords in wide arcs, staying the beasts at bay. Under no false pretense did she epect herself to be able to go toe to toe with these beasts and for once since her betrayal, she had to agree with Rune.

Sir Revilo, she is correct. We must leave before these beasts converge or the Thelmacian army cordone and block the main roads!

Akira jabbed another beasts in the chest. A shallow strike, but it madeit withdraw. They would have to look for Revilo's signal to see if he wil make a break for it or stay and fight.

Mary heard the conflict of words going on between Revilo and Rune. But she did not have time for it, she wanted to help Revilo bring Sophia back to life as soon as possible.

With the situation as dire as it seems, Mary aimed her bow at the closest monster as it came close to her. She thought burning thoughts, feelings of warmth as the tip of her arrow caught ablaze. She kept her concentration as she aimed her arrow, firing it at the closest creature, but she her focus was split between two things at once, and unable to keep her concentration, the arrow exploded prematurely. It did damage the monster, the wooden arrow exploding in its face.

"Darn it, that was not supposed to happen like that!" Mary scolded herself before moving on to meeting Akira and Revilo. "Come on, we have to go now!!!"
