OOC: Does everyone know about the Daos thing or is that only privy to a small group? Plus, which Daos would i be summoning? Aw. I'm a bit sad Remus got turned into a wanted man already.

Akira

"Akira! Your presence here alone is enough to summon the Daos to our aid! The Daos will come now and they will save us."

Akira was stunned for a second. It took a good few seconds for what Alissa had said to register as she was too focused on securing the perimeter for her Lady. When it did sink in, it left Akira more confused than ever. From her memory, Akira knew she had very little talent for magick. The only reason she is able to perform magick is due to inheriting her grandfather's power on his deathbed.

M'lady, there must be some mistake. My power is mediocre in comparison to yo.....Argh!

A sharp pain stabbed straight to the core of her mind. Akria felt her left eye surge with energy and what was usually black burst through with colours. There was a slight sepia hue and speed blur, but the image was clear. The world was in chaos, and there were being she had never seen before roaming, locked in combat, but that was the extent of the vision. It was short, but succinct. The rumble of the ground began as the Spirit Tower activated and Akira rushed to Alissa's side. No matter what, she was still her leader.

Take care m'lady! What is going on?!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Remus
Remus was an excellent swordsman, made even more powerful against footsoldiers when mounted. He downed the first soldier via surprised attack and easily overwhelmed the one to the right of him with a chop into the gap between his pauldron and his curicass. Althea dealt with the one in front of her with a powerful, crushing claw straight cross his leather armour. Her claws tore through better than any blade before battering the limp body downwards. That was three down. Reyu was against Kethos and he knew the girl did not stand a chance, particularly so in her current condition. They had to escape. Her mount would have to be left here.
In a surprising maneuver, Remus charged towards the line of soldiers between him and Reyu, knocked the two middle aside and grabbed Reyu by the collar. Althea was a strong Chocobo as well as a swift one. An extra slight girl was no issue. The duo sped past in a surprised break through to the left, swerving away from going straight at Kethos and cutting back into the Forest. They entered a small strip of dense trees, hopefully it would delay the guards and allow them to gain a bit of lead before they reemerge into the plains, towards the East Continent. It was safer there, but not by much.
(OOC: WHich Daos thing do you mean? The world knows of their existence in another realm...Well either way they are about to become known by everyone...)
Alissa stood by as she watched Akira's great power activate within herself.
M'lady, there must be some mistake. My power is mediocre in comparison to yo.....Argh!
Alissa's eyes sparkeled. The thought of salvation for all beings was all that kept circling her mind. She was excited to see such a wonder. The earth vibrated as the tower grew brighter...
Take care m'lady! What is going on?!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The spirit tower itself had become blinding with light but for a monet the light dimmed down. Only a portal above it appeared. Out of it came a woman who was blue and tall. She seemed to be dressed with ice and crystals. "What? Summoned once more into this world? Who would dare?!" she spoke angrily before another crature emerged from the portal.
"I know who Shosta," It was big and took the form of a Shark."It was those damned humans again"
"Slevish is right" said yet another creature but this one was giant and looked like a man with muscled made of pure ground and rock. "The humans couldn't bear to fix the planet themselves."
"Shall we aid in their destruction?" Another tall looking woman with beautiful jewels about her appeared.
"No, Filhish, that would be the wrong idea to get." The ice woman Shosta said speaking.
"We shall destroy the cause of the destruction itself." said the muscle man.
"That does seem wise Thiftor." the guardian named Slevish spoke as he flew off. "Lets make them pay!"
With that the guardians flew off, planning to attack the kingdoms of Thelma and all who dare block their path.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The glowing stopped and Alissa watched as Akira stood by her. "It's alright...I think you have just given us all a wonderful gift to start over Akira." Alissa spoke before departing for the spirit tower. "I heard them, the Daos, they are here. You may want to head for the library in Siard if you want to learn more about this phenomenon. I must head back to the Bithia headquarters. There is much at stake here. If I don't aid in the revival of the Bithian clan then Agia will prove to be unworthy for the guardians. I think it would be best for you to lay low."
At that Alissa left. To where, she wouldn't tell. She would be on her own mission now, gathering the means to bring something else to pass.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"I...I'm truly sorry for what happened to Sophia. I understand what it means to lose a family member."
Revilo said nothing. He stood immediately and brushed the woman's hand off him. Wiping his tears he gathered his expression. His emotion was blank. "There must be a way to bring her back." was what he both thought and spoke with hope in his shaking voice.
Laleth stood by Mary once again. She didn't know what to do. Soon they were all interrupted by large creatures in the sky soaring past. They were gigantic and huge monster like figures who flew from the direction of the spirit tower. Laleth stared at them for only a second. It was like nothing she had ever seen and she noticed the monsters traveling to different towns back on the Western continent from where they came.
Laleth's attention then diverted back to the three. She thought about something. "When I was little, I lived in an orphanage of the church." She said walking over to Revilo and looking him square in the eye. "A priestess I knew, Melissa, She told me about these stories that were supposed to take place thousands of years ago in Agia. She said something about a magic that could bring the dead back to life." Laleth spoke with hope.
She hadn't remembered the story completely and didn't know if her memory was serving her correctly, but she wanted to cheer him up for the time being. In that moment she had forgotten all about his attempt to kill her. "Cheer up. There's still hope." she spoke with a weak smirk.
Revilo stared back, his green eyes clashing with her yellow. "We'll go to the Siard library then." Revilo said.
"What?" Laleth asked in suprise. She had never been out of her kingdom before so the nights events had her geared for adventure. "A library?"
"Siard has one of the oldest libraries in the world. There's a giant collection of texts on magic." Said Revilo clearing his throat.
He was remembering one of his missions he had been on in the past where he had to seek a text in the library before. "Oh?! Lets go Mary! You can find out about your powers as well!" Laleth spoke with excitement.
Revilo had gotten over his feelings, for Sophia's disappearance was only temporary. She would be alive again. "The horses are gone. Lets keep moving." he spoke drawing his Saksore sword and walking east in the direction of the Demon town.
Arukav sat on his throne in Idunblim, angry that his daughter had run away. She was supposed to be getting married this day. Oh how difficult she had become. He thought this as he stood and walked away. He couldn't help but think how he hated her, no her mother was the one he hated. He walked about the throne room, guards standign silently. Her child had been hidden up until weeks ago. He couldn't deny her request to see him or to live in the castle.
He had truly loved her mother...but the woman had betrayed him! And with one of those fould demons no less! Arukav hated her for that. But if he had known she was pregnant with the demon's child then why didn't he kill the child? Laleth didn't have bad intentions. She came from a bad situation, but Arukavs mind could only be reminded of his wife every time he saw her. He couldn't stand it. After pacing he hearda sound outside the town. Noises like horns could be heard going off. "Sir!" A soldier who had come bursting in the castle throneroom screamed. "Something's attacking the cit-" an explosion came from above and a roar of a monster's voice boomed out.
Arukav had no time to move. For when he lookd up, he could see nothing but the ceiling getting closer and closer.
(OOC: Feel free to control Reyu. She's an npc basically at your disposal at any time.)
Reyu had been frozen. It took her a minute to realize that she was not face to face anymore. She straightened up on the man's chocobo bird and grasped his waist for support. The bird was flying fast through the tree's. After a while of riding she finallymurmured something. "Why would general Kethos....Why would he betray us like that?" Reyu asked. "Did you do something? What did you say about me?!"
Her rage had grown at an instant but she calmed down as she heard the sound of sirens. "Once you're an enemy of Thelma you're always an enemy of Thelma. There'll be more guards..."
They were now fugitives. Unknown and unsure of where their path would take them.
((OOC: Well, they should arrive at around the same time as the rest, hee. ))
"Hm."
Rune stared in the direction of the Spirit Tower briefly before urging her Agima followers to proceed. It was rather distressing to see such smaller number especially when just moments ago, she was looking at a number that would make her even more confident about dealing with the Thelma.
It didn't help to also note that the flash of light from the Spirit Tower meant that Alissa should have achieved what they had been there for. Rune sighed inwardly as she walked up, Saethos following closely behind.
"My people, we shall have to make haste. Moving to Siard would mean circling around the Spirit Tower."
Rune frowned slightly as she thought about the possibilities.
"Oh no... We should try to get the support we can as soon as possible... And what if the demons turn against us...? What if...?!"
Sensing her anxiety, one of the Agima came up to her.
"Calm down, my Lady."
"Yes. I should..."
Rune forced a smile on her face as she turned back to face the Spirit Tower.
"There's no choice. I must go on ahead myself. But... No... What...."
From behind, Saethos came forward, resting a firm hand on Rune's shoulders.
"My Lady, we can encamp here. We'll just lay low and avoid notice until you return for us."
"But...!"
"Fear not, just go on and fear less for us than yourself. Yours would be an even more dangerous journey."
"... That is true. Since that is so, then I shall waste no time. I won't be long. Come, Saethos."
As soon as she said that, she grabbed Saethos' hands and began chanting a teleport spell quicker than she ever did before. The magic circle formed on the ground soon enough, and the two were engulfed in a flash of light and vanished from the spot on which they previously stood.
"There must be a way to bring her back." Revilo said as he brushed off Mary's hand, she turned her head away in sadness. She didn't know how there was a way to bring back Sophia, but he was hopeful, wanting to see her cheery face again.
"When I was little, I lived in an orphanage of the church. A priestess I knew, Melissa, She told me about these stories that were supposed to take place thousands of years ago in Agia. She said something about a magic that could bring the dead back to life."
Mary thought about it. If there was magic to bring back the life of a deceased friend, then maybe his hope was not as futile as she thought.
"We'll go to the Siard library then. Siard has one of the oldest libraries in the world. There's a giant collection of texts on magic."
"But isn't that the place where Demon's live?"
"Oh?! Lets go Mary! You can find out about your powers as well!"
It seems Laleth didn't mind. Mary could only hope the stories about Demons weren't true, still she wasn't a little girl, she could handle herself when the time came. "Alright, let us go." Revilo mentioned that the horses ran off in fear, but it did not matter. If it means finding out about how to utilize her powers, then she would read as many books as possible to do so.
Akira
As fast as everything happened, it stopped. However, Lady Alissa's explanation made nothing clearer than before and as she left, Akira made to follow, but exhaustion took over. Akira was left to watch the Lady leave while she herself sat to regain her strength. It only took several minutes, but that was enough for her to lose sight of Lady Alissa. One thing she said was right, however. Akira can not linger here anymore. The best course of action was to get as much information as possible and that would meant Siard.
Clumsily, Akira stumbled out and it didnt take too long for her to find a lonesome farm house and take possession of one of the stabled horses. Akira disliked stealing, but there was no choice. The best she could do was to leave her coin purse here. She had emergency money so she could lose what was in the purse.
Ride, my friend. Take me to where i need to be...
The horse reared once and rode on straight through towards the woods. Rather than take a winding route via the roads, her mount knew of her hurry and chose to cut through i a straight line. Siard wasn't overly too far from the Spirit Tower. It would not take her long to arrive there.
Remus
"Why would general Kethos....Why would he betray us like that?"Did you do something? What did you say about me?!"
Fool! Calm yourself!If you had done so, you would have seen that this is much bigger than just General Kethos.
The girl was still a bit hysterical, and that was troublesome. She was laying across his knees with her stomach, still in the position when Remus hoisted her onto Althea. If she struggled, there was a very big chance she would tumble from his mount. Luckily, Reyu calmed as fast as she raged.
"Once you're an enemy of Thelma you're always an enemy of Thelma. There'll be more guards..."
You think i don't know? What in the world will happen to my division...?
The best Remus could do was communicate later via messenger bird to Satella, but that would have to wait. East and West were both bad ideas to cross to, so Remus decided to go south, as much as possible, to the village of Ale. Hopefully, General Kethos would not send troops that far for now.
Ms Reyu, mounted properly behind me and hold on. Althea cannot ride at full pace while you are in that position.
The girl was still in a bit of a daze, but she did as she was told, clambering behind Remus' armour and grabbing onto his wing as support. The moment she parked her behind down, Althea shot forward at an increased speed. It would be wise to stay away from major towns and roads for now.
The forest reeked of smoke and morning dew. Revilo walked on, not caring about the two of which followed. He didn't like tag alongs but the two were vital to what he wanted to know about the revival magic. Apparently one of them had magical powers as well who needed figuring out. Siard could be visible above the tree's a pillar of ruin sticking out high above the clouds. A woman on a horse had ridden past the group towards the direction they were traveling in as well. Revilo thought he recognised her from a small glance but did not think much of it.
He could think of nothing but getting there. The village of old buildings and ruins. The forest of which they walked through was thousands of years old and contained artifacts of wars past. The leaves on the ground crunched under his boots with each step and a dry, crisp air blew through his jacket. This magic, the magic that could bring back the dead felt familiar. Like he had heard of it before from someone...
Laleth kept lose behind. She didn't want to interrupt the silence between the travelers out of awkwardness, but the phrase "Demons" had come to mind after Mary had spoken protest. What if demons were just as brutal and violent as she had heard? She walked on harping on this. Her eyes had already revealed that she was half demon herself. If her human mother could love a demon then surely they couldn't be that bad? She thought this through in her head often repeatedly as the village grew closer. She stopped as soon as the man giding her and Mary stopped. The edge of the forest was visible and so was Siard village. "The library's right in there." Revilo spoke nodding towards the village.
"It'll be alright." Laleth spoke to Mary trying to comfort her. "I have met plenty of nice demons before...Hopefully these will be just as nice." she smiled.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Reyu rode on the back of Remus' chocobo, making sure to hold on tight as it sped through the land towards the southern continent. All they needed to do was get past the Lela mountain range and they would be in Ale village. She didn't like the thought of being stuck with Remus all this time, but had decided she may as well had. As she held on she couldn't help but think that she would see general Kethos once more...
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Kethos ran through the forest after the direction of the chocobo. More troops were coming, being scattered about the continent. There would be no way that he could fail his mission or else his family and friends would be in danger. He would have to choose between his trusted comrades and his family back home. He couldn't save both even though he wanted to.
Library!? - Akira, Revilo, Mary, Laleth
- The library of Siard may contain all the answers you need. The entrance lies in the ruins of the old Siard castle.
More troops - Rune, Seathos
- It's time to put your full plan in action. A next course of action shall be taken.
Between two crossroads - Remus, Reyu
- Avoid the Thelma soldiers scattered about your path.
Mary traveled through the forest alongside Laleth and Revilo. The air still reeked of smoke and fire from a nearby battle. The fact that she was going with them to Siard did not put her at ease, what with the many stories about the ruthless demons she has heard. But she needed to stay herself, to keep calm, lest it leads to any complications. But if what they said was true, Siard Library would be the one place where she could figure out how to use her newfound magical abilities to help Laleth.
"The library's right in there."
Mary looked up and saw the edge of the forest, and Siard Village right ahead. "And hopefully, we find the answers there."
"It'll be alright. I have met plenty of nice demons before...Hopefully these will be just as nice."
Turning towards Laleth, Mary said, "I hope so, Laleth. I hope so..."
"About time."
Just as Rune said that, the surroundings flashed brilliantly, and in that same instant, they were in the middle of a village. Now this village was crawling with demons, and while Rune had been mentally preparing herself for this sight, she could feel her pulse racing. Despite that, she managed to keep the trepidation out of her face.
"Come on Saethos, let's find the Village Chief."
She then grabbed Saethos by the arm, dragging him with her to what seemed like the largest hut in the village - most probably the Village Chief's house. There were even demons outside standing guard, which only supported her opinion.
"Hold still. What business do you have here in Siard, Hu- No... Magicked?"
Rune was taken aback by this recognition, but kept on an expressionless face as she responded in kind.
"I am here to see your Village Chief on some rather pressing issues."
"Pressing? You Magicked have caused us no lack of problems. From the ancient times, and now. Get out!"
Rune sighed, looking at this demon up in the eye as he advanced towards the girl. Standing at a rather threatening height of about 1.8, he also sported rather scaly wings that reminded Rune of a dragon. There were two long swords that hung at his waist, which only alluded more to his potential in battle.
The other demon beside him shrunk back. Although he stood at pretty much the same height and wielded the same weapon, he certainly seemed less imposing.
"Get out! You didn't hear me?"
"Well, I can't."
The demon took a step closer, drawing both his swords now.
"If you don't, I'll have your head!"
"You can have it after I speak to your Village Chief!"
The demon hunched over, bringing his face close to Rune's, and roared furiously. Rune however, stood firm, keeping as expressionless as possible. Not the easiest task, but one she did relatively well.
"You...! Die!"
In one swift motion, he brought the two blades at Rune's neck. Rune gulped quickly, but decided to risk it all, shutting her eyes.
There was no way she could start by breaking through the Village Chief's Demon guard. It would only worsen things for her. Her intent was to, after all, recruit the Demons in her cause.
However, moments went by, but the pain hadn't came.
"Foolish Magicked..."
She opened her eyes, realizing the demon had sheathed his blades, and stood back at his position.
"Yes, you may go through."
"Thank you!"
Pulling Saethos along, she quickly hurried into the house of the Village Chief. Who knew what this Demon would be like? There was only one way to find out.
Rune opened the door, and stepped into the house.
<music start>
Revilo walked straight towards the village outskirts. To his suprise, Thelmacain guards were there awaiting their arrival. Revilo gripped his sword in alert, but the a maiden had revealed herself to the front of the two Thelmacain guards accompanying her. "Calm down." she said smiling weakly at him.
The woman was coverd in soot and dust and by the looks of her horse and the horses of her guards it was to be fitted with royalty. Revilo however did not trust any member of any group as it was and did not lower his sword. "What is this? Are you expecting us?"
"No, not you, just her." she spoke looking towards Laleth.
"What does she have to do with anything?"
"She is the only living heir to the Idunblim throne. Princess Laleth Aires, we need you to come with us."
"But why?" Laleth asked out of question and confusion. "My father rules that town now. I'm not married. I do not belong there, and here on the East you cannot make me do anything you want."
"Well, if you wish to know, Thelmacain cities are being attacked by what we can only describe as monsters. During an attack on the Houtou, Idunblim, and Relfthia kingdoms, these monsters are brutal and are, for some unknown reason targeting Thelma only castles. So far it is estimated that fifty thousand have been reported missing, and over a hundred thousand dead." the maiden spoke.
Her eyes were saddened. Revilo thought about the things that had flown in the sky from the spirit tower. Could those feinds have been what did all of the destruction, the ones who flew high in the sky? "The Kings and queens of those towns are all dead and the land completely destroyed." the maiden spoke as she tugged upon her white dressing gown. "You are the only successor to the throne of Idunblim and lord Thelma IX requested it himself."
Laleth's heart sank. She didn't wish to think of her town, he father, nor Melissa of all people as being injured. She had become moved at an instant. She turned once more to Mary. She didn't want to abandon her newfound freedom of royalty, but she couldn't leave things the way they were. "I'm sorry, but I have to go. It will only be for a little while I'm sure." she spoke to Mary as she turned towards Revilo.
Only, the man didn't look at her. She rested her hand oh his shoulder and spoke to him "Good luck." she said before the maiden and the two Thelmacain dressed guards accompanied her into the woods.
At that point in my life, I didn't know which path to take. The path of freedom, or abandoning the ones I cared about. I just selfishly lived in the moment, not even caring what happened to people whe weren't in my concerns. Change is something that frightens people and something that scared me too. But I was in charge of my life then, only I now had an added responsibility of being in charge of my kingdom.
Revilo didn't care much about the girl traveling with him being a princess of any kind, nor did he care about anything else than the magic to bring the dead back to life, but he had heard the term before. He had heard of the magic before, but it had been years ago, years from long ago when he worked for an agency..."Lets go...er, Mary was it?" he spoke. "Don't look at a demon the wrong way and don't do anything with the norm of a Thelma. If you do, well, the demons can get a bit moody."
Despite his controlling sound he was trying to prepare this woman so that their encounter in the village would become a peaceful one. He had begun walking towards an old circular building within the center of the village. He would hunt for the answers he needed. "The library is just up ahead." approached the library.
<music end>
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Chief Tallock sat on the floor of the cheif hut of Siard village. The house itself was over a thousand years old. As a girl stepped in requesting his presence he sat on the ground, a seriously bold expression on his face. His ears were of a bears and were mounted at the tpof his head. His hands were claws and his feet were paw like. He wore traditional armor of demonic culture, the strongest forged armor in the world.
"What do you want young lady? Why are you causing a ruckus in my village?" he asked the girl as she entered with a demon friend with wings.
"Greetings, Chief Tallock, if memory serves me right."
Rune took a few measured steps into the house. She knew she was old - over a centuries old - but she also knew this house was older, and just the thought of it made her feel somewhat small. Even more so for the Demon Chief she was approaching. Without a doubt, this one was probably a demon jaded with age.
His armor, recognizably the strongest Rune came across, only served as proof of that. The Demon, sporting ears identical to what one could observe on bears, was sitting on the floor, rather casually, in Rune's opinion.
Nevertheless, if that was what he preferred, Rune felt it best to follow.
Waving Saethos along, she sat down, knees bent under her weight.
"I apologize for the ruckus I caused, however major, but I do so with no malice."
Rune would have laughed at herself outright if weren't for the gravity of the situation. She hadn't remembered speaking so politely for such a long time, but now that she did, she felt rather amazed that she could still pull it off rather well.
"Having said that, please, I seek your understanding. But if I may, allow me to explain my presence here today.
I seek your help."
Her expression became graver as she said this. Bowing softly, she continued, her voice almost a whisper.
"My people, the Agima, have suffered. More so now, with an internal conflict that torn us from within."
Now, it felt rather foolish to Rune that she actually said that. It was akin to revealing the true weakness of the Agima at this instance, but she continues.
"And now, we are People of our own. And like individual people, we have intentions, and goals -- which leads us to you today. Chief Tallock. If I may ask, do you remember how coexistence felt like?
How living together with different races at your side peacefully, harmoniously, feels? Here in Siard, I can see that, to a smaller extent... But what think you, the idea of expanding that to reach the 'larger extent'?
Chief Tallock, that is the idea I have in mind. I wish to propose to you an alliance, a true mark of solidarity that will bind my people to yours."
As Mary followed Revillo through the City Outskirts, she saw two Thelmacain guards. Pulling out her Knife, she stood by ready to fight, but a maiden stood by and told them off.
"What is this? Are you expecting us?"
"No, not you, just her."
"What does she have to do with anything?"
"But why? My father rules that town now. I'm not married. I do not belong there, and here on the East you cannot make me do anything you want."
"Laleth is right, there is no reason for her to return to Idunblim." Mary said solemnly, expecting what was going to be a Thelmacain attack.
"Well, if you wish to know, Thelmacain cities are being attacked by what we can only describe as monsters. During an attack on the Houtou, Idunblim, and Relfthia kingdoms, these monsters are brutal and are, for some unknown reason targeting Thelma only castles. So far it is estimated that fifty thousand have been reported missing, and over a hundred thousand dead."
Mary was surprised, those monsters that escaped...did they attack those cities? Her hometown was probably all but destroyed. It was as if she was losing everything she ever had in her life, and they were trying to separate her from her friend. "It's not fair...Nothing ever is."
"I'm sorry, but I have to go. It will only be for a little while I'm sure."
"Laleth...Stay Safe, ok?" Mary said, trying to comfort her before she made the journey back home.
..."Lets go...er, Mary was it? Don't look at a demon the wrong way and don't do anything with the norm of a Thelma. If you do, well, the demons can get a bit moody."
"Yes sir." Mary said, she looked back, then started walking. She didn't have to worry about looking demons the wrong way really, she just kept focused on following Revillo as they headed towards a large circular building. "That must be the library." Mary thought. Finally she can find some info on how to use magic, possibly knowledge on life magic to help bring back Sophia from death.
The ground beneath his boots crunched with every step. The walk over to the library was awkward in itself. The demons in the village mostly did not stare at the two much. They didn't make much of a scene themselves. Revilo didn't say anything, he didn't want to. Their objective was near as soon as they reached it, the old domed building that seemed like it could cave in at any second.
He stopped in his tracks. A familiar woman who he felt he had seen earlier was headed in the same direction. He figured her name was Akira or something to that effect. "Magic isn't so hard as long as you learn control over it." Revilo spoke to Mary. "I may as well tell you, that I know a bit of my own. What you do for the most part is feel the energy inside you...once you focus it anything's possible with it's uses."
He then opened the library's door and walked into the shelve lined halls crammed with books of every kind.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"And now, we are People of our own. And like individual people, we have intentions, and goals -- which leads us to you today. Chief Tallock. If I may ask, do you remember how coexistence felt like?
How living together with different races at your side peacefully, harmoniously, feels? Here in Siard, I can see that, to a smaller extent... But what think you, the idea of expanding that to reach the 'larger extent'?
Chief Tallock, that is the idea I have in mind. I wish to propose to you an alliance, a true mark of solidarity that will bind my people to yours."
"So wish to join forces? I'm assuming against the Thelmacain and their harsh rule."The chief spoke.
"Why isn't lady Alissa addressing this issue to me instead young woman? You magicked people are just as hated by them as we are."
he spoke while thinking things over.
This offer was something he could not pass up. Especially since the government of the Thelmacain ruler as vulnerable as it was. "From years and years ago, this land used to be full of us demons and people who performed magical acts. Now it has become nothing but a battlefield full of hate and wasted blood. If I shall agree, this will not be a permanent joining."
Chief Tallock rose as he spoke, his armour glinting from the tiny bits of sun peeking through the window of the house. "My people are going to take back our land...With your help we can overthrow the Thelmacain as they are at their weakest point. Three Thelmacain cities have already been shown the wrath of destruction. Espers, Daos from the olden days have been summoned into this world once more, and who did they attack? Why none other than the hateful kings and their monarchy. We shall strike the other kingdom branches while Thelma is weak already and take back the land for ourselves!"
After his speech warriors had strode into the tent, obviously demons. "Sir, the warriors are all stationed and ready."
"No-no, hold them. I must hear what this young lady's decision is." Tallock spoke politely gesturing towards the woman and her demon friend sitting in the old temple house.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Library!? - Akira, Revilo, Mary, Laleth
- The library of Siard may contain all the answers you need. It would be best to travel in groups.
More troops - Rune, Seathos
- It's time to put your full plan in action. A next course of action shall be taken.
Ale - Remus, Reyu
- Avoid the Thelma soldiers scattered about your path.
"Lady Alissa huh?"
Unity got on her feet, thankful that Chief Tallock had been more polite than had been expected. She was expecting some resistance, and the need for her to make a stronger attempt at convincing him. But it would seem the Demons themselves were keen on fighting against the Thelma after all.
"She is no longer the leader, for my people and myself have broke away from her. We desire peace, but not through the same way as Alissa. Her ideals are admirable, but her methods are weak. We cannot hope for peace just waiting here like sitting ducks while the Thelma runs rampant."
Her voice became firmer as she responded, almost as if she was delivering a speech of her own to the Demons.
"Chief Tallock, we're no longer called the Magicked. Let it be known from this day forth that we are the Agima. And with your permission, we would gladly stand aside you, as we bring down the accursed Thelmacians!
"And we, the Agima are ready to do so, like you are. If nothing else, I'd like to propose taking down Seliothe first, the closest Thelma city to us. Also a strategic advantage to us, since we can move our forces under the cover of the forest."
Rune says these respectfully. Gesturing politely in the general direction of Seliothe as she says this.
"However, my people are tired from the traveling. Hence, I'd have to ask that they would be allowed to encamp close to Siard before moving out together... That, and might it be too much for me to ask if I could go to Siard's famous library?"
The Siard library... It was through word of mouth that she heard about the vast amount of knowledge that is stored in the place alone. And it was 'knowledge' that spurred her interest - the Daos. She had been curious about the Daos since the time she first learned magic.
It was also this curiosity that led her to develop her own artificial Daos, Winfrith being the first example.
Looking to Chief Tallock politely, she awaited his permission.
Mary continued following Revillo, the trek was awkward, walking through the proverbial an literal "Demon's Den" but she kept to herself, only going where Revilo was going, no eye contact with any of them. Maybe Laleth was right about them, maybe not, but she was not going to find out for herself.
Finally the pair came within the sights of the Domed building. It was old and decrepit, and it's just an astonishing surprise that the building is still standing. As if there was any doubt to the testament of ancient cultures and all.
Mary felt a bit worried about this, she was a bit frightened about what she was going to find out. She didn't know if this was what she wanted to do, as she did not want to lose control.
"Magic isn't so hard as long as you learn control over it. I may as well tell you, that I know a bit of my own. What you do for the most part is feel the energy inside you...once you focus it anything's possible with it's uses."
"Feel the energy inside me..." Mary thought to herself as she entered the library. "...I-I hope I can learn to control it."
OOC: Like i said, I will retain rping Akira. I can handle that much.
Akira
Akira pulled on the reign of her mount as she neared the inner area of the town, close to the library. The ride had given her much time to recover from her fatigue and when her boots dropped to the ground, Akira found herself sturdy and well.
Good boy.... Back to your home...
Whispering softly words of thanks, Akira released the reins and gave her horse a gentle push, in which it neighed and galloped off back towards where it had come from. She was now in Demon territory, but Akira wasn't too worried. She had come in contact with a few Demons and it was peaceful when the Bithians were negotiations. As long she she did not initiate any interactions, Akira felt herself to be fine. However, first things first, the Library. Slowly as to not stand out, Akira made her way towards the domed building and could not help but notice a duo also heading towards the same direction. In fact, one looked oddly familiar. As they entered the Library, Akira followed after behind them, into the library. Risking it, Akira called out.
Sir Revilo? Is that you?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Remus and Reyu

The duo had been riding for a while. The plains have been left far behind them and there were no pursuing soldiers behind Remus and Reyu... or any nearby. Remus was sure that they weren't going to be let go alive. Petty thieves and thugs were probably spared if they ran, as long as they didnt show their faces around the area. However, Remus doubted in his mind that they were on the same level as those scums. No, he felt that they were lower than that. Wanted Dead. No alive. As Althea padded through the soft bushland, something to his side caught his attention. It was a fissure. Remus was only lucky that he looked backwards that he saw a small portion of the crack. It was positioned in a way that unless you looked backwards at that precise time and area, one would ride pass it.

Pulling on his rein, Remus lead Althea to the spot and with a hand brushed aside the thick vine curtains. It was wide and it had an S curve before it reached the cave inside. It was perfect. They could light a small smokeless fire and they'll never see the light.

Ms Reyu. We shall camp in there for now. We have lost our pursuers temporarily. If we hide in here, we can recover our strength for our long journey south.

Reyu was still somewhat stunned from the recent event and weakly nodded. Dismounting, Remus held the curtain open for Althea to go in before he followed, lighting a small flint. The moss was rather dry, good as tinder and soon, Remus got a small fire going with a small bundle of firewood.

Rest against Althea. I will keep watch.

Remus sat against the wall, facing the exit. Reyu didnt take long to fall asleep. It was going to be their first long night of many to come.

What in the blazes is going on....?

Sir Revilo? Is that you?

He turned slightly only to recognize the woman whom he had met back in Hautou. "Akira...I thought you were at Ronafure. What are you doing here?"

He had become curious as to why this woman who had fought earlier would show up so suddenly...

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"However, my people are tired from the traveling. Hence, I'd have to ask that they would be allowed to encamp close to Siard before moving out together... That, and might it be too much for me to ask if I could go to Siard's famous library?"
"Go forth already." Said the village chief as he stood tall. "If you truly wish to live among us, then you will join us in our strike for rebellion. The battle to go against the Thelmacain Empire is just beyond the horizon of today. Gather your troops. We strike at evening."

A crystalius...An object of which could bring the dead back to life and grant man a power over death. But in order to obtain it we all would have to ban together. Thelma towns and cities had been destroyed by the time I had arrived back at Idunblim and soon I would have to make it right again.

(OOC: While I'd love to transgress into side stories at this moment I can't simply just make things up out of the blue for your characters :/ I'm trying hard to find an easy plotline for them to fit in well.)

OOC: I know what you mean, I haven't thought up a good sidequest yet though.

IC:
Sir Revilo? Is that you?

"Akira...I thought you were at Ronafure. What are you doing here?"

Mary turned around and saw what seemed to be a male, but the voice was that of a female. She seems to know Revillo, and it was for that reason that Mary decided to just listen in and not say anything unless spoken to. She got back to thinking on Laleth. Especially about what the Thelmacains said. Despite having to escape her home, she had to go back. "The monsters, the attacks, what could they all mean?"

Rune bowed politely. "Then, I'll take leave of you for now," said the girl as she hurriedly made her way out of the hut. Siard's library was famous for the vast knowledge that it held. In her life of over a few centuries, this location had been brought up numerous times. All of which made it no less tempting to visit, especially for Rune, who always sought to improve her magic.

It didn't take her long to arrive at the building, which was shaped like a dome. As she approached, her attention was drawn to the several people that were there. They seemed vaguely familiar to the girl, and as she approached, she realized who they were...

... Which only led her to steel her own heart. Glancing over her shoulders, she realized that she hadn't asked Saethos along. 'Just as well,' she thought to herself, as she walked forward to them. "So we meet again," Rune said, chuckling as she came closer.

Akira

"Akira...I thought you were at Ronafure. What are you doing here?"

Disaster Sir Revilo. Miss Rune has attacked Ronafure and in their process, the town has been obliterated. Lady Alissa activated something in the Tower of Spirits but i have no idea what she had said to me, so i am trying to find out information at the Siard library, as per her instruction.

The horse ride has done wonders to her stamina. She had rested enough to run, jump and do most things normally now. However, she was still a bit iffy if she was to go against strong opponents such as.....

"So we meet again,"

... Rune. This was the most terrible run of luck Akira has ever had in her entire life. Her goals and her world had turned upside down within a day and now, she had enemies on two sides. Slowly, Akira backed closer to Revilo and the two women that were nearby. One, she recognised as Laleth, the princess that was to be assassinated. She found small solace that she survived, as Akira was never too comfortable with the idea of assassinating helpless and innocent targets. The other, a more formidable looking, she did not know. Regardless, Akira felt she could fight, which was good. The woman may be able to pick up the slack that Akira will leave due to her exhaustion.

Miss Realmroamer. Indeed we meet again... and so soon... too soon.

Akira was defensive. She gave comfort to herself by resting her hand on the hilt of her sword. If it all came down to it, it was all she had to depend on in her state.

Careful Sir Revilo. Remember what happened at Hautou.....What are you doing here, Miss Realmroamer.

OOC: I think I have a side story of my own now.

Saethos had no interest in going to the library, so this was when his and Rune's path had taken a temporary split. Saethos had to be honest, he was afraid of going in there. He had a reputation here, and it wasn't a good one. He had kept quiet but depending on how things went on here, he might have to tell Rune. Before leaving the chief of his home town, he delivered a respectful bow, but he could not hide his slightly sorrowed eyes.

Leaving that area, he wanted to find a place where he would not run the risk of finding someone who remember his face. But with wings like his, that might be a little difficult. Saethos tried his best to hide the inside of his wings so that they looked like a plain black pair of demon wings. He didn't expect to run forever, but he also didn't want to face the relatives of his murdered friends, or of the demons he used to get his enjoyment from tormenting.

He instead walked into a bar. This was the last place he expected to run into one of his old enemies, but as fate would tell you, he was dead wrong. "Well, well. It's Saethos Kyakuya." Freezing chills of shame, guilt, and fear ran through his body. "You know, everyone in this town thought you had begun to change, defending those weaker than you all of the sudden. But you know what else? When you killed those six and vanished, we all then knew what you were up to. Making weaker ones scared or sad wasn't enough for you, so you had to resort to murder."

Saethos couldn't say anything, What could he say to back him up? Nothing. He had nothing to say, and so he remain still. "Do you remember me?" Saethos did, but his shame prevented him from speaking. "Of course, I should have figured. The name's --"

"Arusa Lazuras." His voice was ill, and weak. Very faint.

"You don't sound too confident. What happened to you? The guilt finally catch up?"

"Yes...It has. I won't ask for an apology because I know I don't deserve it."

"DAMN RIGHT!" a few other demons spoke.

"But I deserve to know something. You were such a good demon, you never did anything wrong, and I had no right to do what I did, but why are you here? You never seemed like the drunkard type to me when we were young."

Arusa hesitated to speak, because he knew Saethos was right. "HA! As if you knew me. I changed because of people like you. I didn't like who I was, and so I became a soldier. And ya know what I've noticed? You haven't turned to face me yet, Saethos. Why not?"

Turning slowly to face his old enemy, he saw how much he had changed. As a boy this man wore glasses, but he no longer needed them. That was the first difference he spotted. He wasn't much taller than Saethos, but he was definately stronger in the physical aspect. (Link)
