Asher Brighton
Outskirts of Relucesco

Asher lay awake in the tent, Prince Robert was laying next to her. She wasn't sure if the man was awake or soundly sleeping so she didn't dare make a peep. As she lay there thinking about what tomorrow may bring she heard speaking outside. It sounded like a boys voice.

She gently got to her hands and knees, poking her head from the tent's entrance and watched. It seemed the little nymph boy Stevie had found them. She smiled happily and climbed from the tent.

He was talking to Lucia who seemed to ignore him and the woman proceeded into the forest. Asher sighed... Lucia was so immature.

"Stevie!" She called to the boy. "I am so glad you're safe!!" She rushed up and gave him a tight hug. "I was worried you had gotten hurt! Please sit down by the fire and serve yourself some stew. Prince Robert, the Kings Son is a chosen one too! I don't know if you met him, but he has been so wonderful and cooked this up for us!" She seemed so pleased, Asher could always find the good in everything, some people told her it was an annoying trait but she couldn't help it.

She then turned to the forest and frowned. "I will be right back, I am going to talk to Lucia, I fear I might be one of the reasons she is so grumpy at the moment... " And with that the young girl made her way into the shrubbery leaving the boy at the campsite.

It didn't take long before Asher saw Lucia leaning against a tree. "Lucia" She said as she walked over, looking at the woman through grumpy purple eyes. "Why must you be such a drama queen, hurry back to the tent, it's cold and I want to sleep before morning! What is wrong with you anyway?"

She waited patiently for an answer, arms folded around her body as she tried to keep herself warm.

Channing (Chuck) Freeley
The Barron Road.

Chuck laughed as both Vex and Ezelus joined the fight, finally he would get to see how his new team would do in the heat of battle. So far they looked like pros! Chuck continued to run, singling out one particular Orc, the one on the far left who didn't have anyone to cover him.

The disgusting creature had a look of fright, seeing the large man come at him but it stood its ground, bringing it's serrated sword above it's head ready to slice the man as he drew near.

Chuck took note of this move and dodged out of the way just in time, before bringing his own sword around to the creatures stomach, slicing it cleanly in half. It took a few moments before the Orc fell to the ground, it's guts spilling out all over the place.

"That's one fa me, Vexy! Ya betta hurry up if ya don't want ta be tha loser." The man cheered happily, Vex had just proposed a bet, the person with the least kills, buys the next round of drinks at the next tavern they came across. There was no way Chuck was going to lose that.

Chuck was actually quite concerned for Vex, he wondered if the alcohol had worn off yet and if the man would be able to fight, but he didn't say anything, Chuck would wait and see how things went before interfering. The most embarrassing and shameful thing one man could do to another was intervene in on his fight.

The then turned to another Orc, throwing one of his throwing knives at it, hitting it in the throat. He was glad to see he still had a good aim.

Lord Haynus of Umbra
Acies, Umbra Capital.

"L-lord Haynus!! Lord H-Haynus!!!!" Came a panicked voice from the corridors of the large castle. A Young guard from Eternus had fled to the city to bring Lord Haynus important news, he had run through the corridors to the throne room entrance and was stopped by a larger Guard who stood in his way, holding his large spear in front of him.

"You shall not pass..." Was all the Larger Guard said.

"I have grave news!! I must pass, The Lord will find what i have to say most interesting!!" The boy had a look of urgency in his eyes. "It... It is about the chosen onces sir....they...they've been blessed!!"

The Guards eyes widened as he heard the words and he lowered his spear, looking to his companion on the other side of the entrance he nodded. "keep guard, I will accompany this man to the Lords Throne. You better not be telling lies, son... the Lord will have your head."

They then entered through the door. Walking down the long satin carpet, it was meters and meters long, the throne looked tiny from this side of the room. There were columns all the way down, holding the roof up with demons engraved into them. The Ceiling had murals of the gods painted across it. It really was a stunning yet eerie room.

Finally they made it to the Throne.

"My Lord Haynus." The older Guard spoke "This towns guard from Eternus has some grave news for us. He says the chosen ones have been called upon."

The man in the throne sat hunched in his robes, a hood pulled across his eyes so only his lips could be seen. Anyone could tell he was old, very old, but no one knew exactly what he was. All that was known was that he was a powerful being, one of the most powerful in existence and crossing him would be ill advised.

"Speak boy." Came a croaky voice

"Y-yes My Lord. I was guarding Eternus's gates when a strange group appeared at the exit. I over heard them talking, they needed to exit the town so I headed over. O-one of them, a wraith I think it was told me they were on a quest from our god... Acerbus!!"

Haynus lifted a hand from his lap and stroked his chin "It seems our god is acting faster than I first thought... It might be time to pay our little chosen ones a visit...Prepare the knights, I want at least 20 of them at each city! Now get out of my sight!" He shooed them out with his hand, he'd had enough of this, now was the time to capture the 5 before they had a chance to figure anything out...

"Yes Sir!!" The large guard said, saluting him before turning around. Then both the man and boy left the throne room.

"Squire... send a message to my dear friend Cedric informing him of this news..."

The Squire next to Haynus bowed and left the room to prepare the message.

King Cedric
Divitie, Capital of Relucesco

King Cedric was a hybrid, half wolf half man, he often spent his days in his study, jotting down notes while reading the ancient books from his library shelves, no one knew what he did in there or why and no one questioned him, but nine times out of ten he would be found there.

Lately he had been under stress, his two son Simon and Robert had gone and got themselves into trouble and Cedric had sent search parties out to find them without luck.

He sighed as he scribbled on his note pad. "Those boys will be the death of me..." He rubbed his temple with his free hand and looked up at the door, ears pricked as he heard a knock.

"Sir, It is I, Mayen, I have a letter sent through the portal from the Lord Haynus."

"Come in." Cedric sat up straight in his chair, frowning as a skinny man came through the door holding a scroll. Mayen was his advisor. Mayen placed the scroll on Cedric's table and the hybrid King opened it and began to read. His facial expression changing with each line he wrote.

"Well. Mayen..." The man frowned as he placed the scroll back on the desk "It looks like we have a minor war on our hands. Please prepare my forces. It seems Aduro and Acerbus have finally awoken the chosen onces." The King sounded calm but his face had the look of distress upon it.

"I am not sure what these chosen ones look like, so we must send out scouts as well as knights. I do not want them harmed, I want them to be brought to me alive, we cannot enter the temples with out them all in the land of the living!"

"Yes my King!!" Mayan said before exiting the room.

(OOC) Long post is long :|
I hope it all made sense, sorry if there are mistakes etc in there, haha I unfortunately wrote it in a hurry, might fix it up when I get home, but you get the gist.

So now there will probably be guards at each town.

Lucia sighed and moved herself off of the tree and looked at the rather annoyed Asher "It's quite simple, a clash of ideas, which is ironic considering how alike they are in formation. Ultimately me and him are both in the wrong but it doesn't matter, the way things are now it's unlikely that this will be a friendly trip. I'm going to assume you'd rather hope for peace and love to appear out of thin air and make everything right over the bitter truth anyway"

Lucia, realising her tone composed herself again "... I'm sorry, this whole thing is a mess and i'd sooner trust a corpse over a goddess, least a corpse can't stab you in the back. I'll be out of your hair by morning, i'll do things my way, you guys can do things your way, no doubt it'll work out better for both of us if we didn't get in each other's business"

Speaking with Lucia

Asher's eyes began to water a little, why was Lucia being so damn mean? She didn't understand. They'd all been entrusted with this horrible task, no one liked it, not one bit and here Lucia was acting all hight and mighty like she was the only one affected by it. It was especially annoying to Asher now because she had just started growing attached to the woman who saved her back in Primo.

"Lucia! You're such a....a....B...." Asher stopped her words and thought a moment. "You're such a brat!!" now was probably not the best time to call the woman A Bitch... "You can't go and leave me behind! You're meant to protect your treasure" She sniffled, grasping the womans hands within her own and holding them tightly. "I hardly know you but I know you're kind and caring and I saw you take care of that thief for me in Primo!! I-I'm afraid and I don't want you to go!!"

The girl now had tears running down her cheeks, she was tired and stressed out and sick of being cheery, she wanted everyone to get along so badly she wanted Lucia to be her friend and enjoy her company but things were just taking a turn for the worst.

Asher pulled the woman closer to her and wrapped her arms around her, resting her cheeks against the older female's bosom. A hug is what she needed right now, and she hoped it was what Lucia needed too. "You can't go, I wont let you" She muttered grumpily not loosening her grip on Lucia.

Lucia was rather taken back by this strange show of confidence Asher was starting to display to her, in hindsight Lucia had started to be a bit selfish, only considering herself in this. Such a view was only strengthened as Asher began to cry, lightly she wrapped her arms around Asher. "I suppose i'd be lying if I said I know how you're feeling but... Well lets just call it a hunch that I don't expect things to end well if I stick around, sooner or later someone's going to get hurt, I can sense it"

Lightly she released Asher and grabbed her hands, crouching lightly to eye level "Even if I do end up parting ways, it's not like i'm really going anywhere, least nowhere you wouldn't go to eventually anyway. It's not like I can escape this curse any more than the rest of you, best I can do is postpone it as best I can"

Lucia then got back to her feet and turned around "I appreciate that this is painful for you but it's a path best travelled alone, i'm sure you'll feel safer around Robert anyway, for all our disagreements he seems dependable enough, and if he lets anyone lay a finger on you i'll just have to smack him in the head, won't I?"

Lucia tried to lighten an otherwise dark mood, in truth she didn't want Asher to have to take on her burdens, much less her trials. It was best if she stuck to the larger group, even if some of them were less seasoned for battle it was better than going with one person.

"Anyway, tomorrow i'll be gone, so don't bother with anything for me, i'll be out of your hair before you know it, things should be less chaotic that way if nothing else, with me around 'team unity' isn't very possible."

Vex just smiled as Chuck said he killed one, it seemed at least one person accepted the game. His attention turned to the orc that just shoot him with an arrow, Vex started a mad dash towards him as he readied another shoot. This time as he fired Vex easily did a dodge roll to his right but was stopped short by one of the warrior orcs. Vex raised his sword to parry the orcs sword coming down in front of him, grunting slightly at the force on which the orc was able to swing his sword.

Using his right leg, he bent his left knee and then went into a sweeping motion. The action had more or less its desired effect the orc saw this and stepped back thus letting up on the force of his sword. Vex drew his sword out from under the orcs sword and swung the sword at the orcs throat. Through the blood splatter he could see the orcs head rolling to the side as the body took two steps forward before dropping.

Once again his attention returning to the archer Vex lunged at him using his sword to knock away his crossbow. Then taking another lugging step forward he did a shoulder tackle into the orc. Maybe only stumbling back by a foot or so before the orc could grab onto Vex, he took his sword and ducked while aiming up with his sword. He then stood up quickly and with that the sword went clean through the orcs head. With some difficulty Vex looked over to chuck as he removed his sword and shook off the blood, as he rushed over to another group of archers and shouted.

"That's two you better not be slacking off and falling behind now you hear!" Vex shouted in semi excitement whilst now seeming to stumble from left to right as he went towards the other two orcs he was after.

Speaking with Lucia

Asher couldn't believe what she was hearing, the words from the woman's mouth were absurd. Her watery eyes were reddened and her cheeks were flushed. It was cold and the air was thick, she placed her hands on her head and sniffed. Lucia really was a bitch. Why was she making things so difficult.

"You're ruining this for everyone Lucia!"
She said as she held her face in her hands, her voice muffled. "We're meant to be working together, you're going to have our planet destroyed!!"

Asher had never felt more lost of confused than she did right now. What was she meant to do? Go back to Stevie and Prince Robert? Or follow Lucia? Prince Robert was much more understanding, he was kinder, he would listen to reason and he looked strong. Lucia was hot headed, stubborn, she could obviously fight but Asher wondered if her thick skull would eventually get her killed.

Prince Robert now had Stevie to take care of....Asher was so conflicted, why was their team such a mess. The girl wondered how the Umbrians were doing, hoping with all her might that they were as disfunctional as they were right now, that would at least buy them more time.

"Lucia....I...I'm going to come with you."
She took a deep breath to calm herself. "You're an idiot, you know that? I'm going to come with you to protect you....Wait here..." She then left the forest and went to the campsite. The girl grabbed her satchel and put it around her shoulder, then picked up her bow given to her by her father and placed it on her back.

"Stevie. I am going with Lucia. I need to smack some sense into her head. I am goin to have us go to Tempero. Please tell Prince Robert. I will have us stall as long as possible so you can catch up. Stay safe!"

She brushed her hand over the boys shoulder in a reassuring way and then headed back to the forest and to Lucia.

"Lets go...." And by 'morning' the two women would be gone.

(OOC) ok so after Mortel and Ayumi Hamasaki post it will be the next day and we will properly start our adventure :) We'll all meet again at Tempero Village where the first shrine is :)

[OOC: Sorry for the super late post. :ffs:The moment I got Mass Effect 2, I started on a spree.]

Fortunately, by the time Chuck had to put her down, she was more or less sober. Not in the clearest state of mind, but she would do fine enough. Pulling out her weapon, a Dao, she muttered,"Why do I fight hm?"

Sprinting forward at a pair of sword-wielding orcs, she crossed swords with one, and got the other laughing. "You would laugh at me," Celestia hissed, started swinging around as if dancing. "In the midst of battle?"

As it at random, her blade cut open the one of the orc's shoulders, startling him as he staggered back. The orc's partner only had time to gape at his partner's condition before Celestia was behind him, inflicting a deep laceration at his waist, and several cuts on his back. Still, she wasn't done, spinning on her feet as she slashed open the orc's biceps and triceps.

By the time she was ready to move on, this orc was bleeding out from too many places to be of use in battle. Engaging the orc she had just cut down, she chuckled,"Die choking on you' blood."

Grabbing his sword arm with in a quick motion, she slit open his throat and laughed.

"Come on! Come on!"

She was quite a sight by now, bloody, and clearly dangerous. True to her name indeed, and a terrifying sight to anyone of sound mind.

Stevie watched her leave, and cursed his luck. He had come back just to be abandoned again. Well not exactly, he supposed. He did have this Prince Robert, but how would he deal with the fact that they had both left him with a strange boy? And how would he even begin to explain it? Should he wake up him up now, or let him sleep?

He found it ironic that half of him was hoping this was a hoax, because if they were really chosen this planet was doomed. He thought about it for a moment before walking slowly toward the tent. If he was a Prince this might not go so well but he had to do what he had to do. Plus, it was better that there wouldn’t be two surprises in the morning. He walked into the tent to wake the prince.

(OOC: Sir Fratley I hope that’s okay with you. I wasn’t sure how to handle it. :wacky:)

Lucia looked down at her feet as Asher ran off to depart "getting the planet destroyed? What proof is there of that being true?" Lucia, regardless of the evidence just couldn't bring herself to just blindly follow what she's told, everyone has a hidden motive, even the divine. But obviously that opinion wasn't one anyone was ready to consider, least as far as she was concerned.

Of a slightly less worrying concern was Asher's words... Why did Lucia need protecting? If anything it was the other way around, Asher is hardly a seasoned fighter, heck she didn't even seem adjusted to travelling like this. It seemed it fell on her to try and get Asher into the swing of things, especially if she planned to go with her instead of Robert, in a 2 person group she couldn't always guarrantee Asher's safety. At the very least she needed to be better at keeping herself out of the way if a threat appeared.

Stretching her arms she could feel fatigue starting to rear itself, she'd have to find a suitable place to rest before morning, for now she'd simply have to wait for Asher to get back and arrange somewhere to sleep, even if Lucia had to keep watch all night, it wouldn't be the first time Lucia had pulled an all nighter while on the road.

Seeing Asher return she noticed that she seemed somewhat fatigued, even though she was putting up a strong front, and if Lucia had only just started to get tired, it must be having a larger impact on Asher. "Well if we're going to keep moving, try not to overexert yourself and if you need to sleep i'll carry you if there's nowhere to camp" Lucia gave her a reassuring smile as they began to walk around the edge of the forest. Far enough in to avoid detection from the outside, while limiting the probability of a monster attack.

Traveling with Lucia

Lucia and Asher had been traveling all night along the outskirts of the Silva Forest. There hadn't been any Orc attacks on them which was lucky and overall it was a peaceful yet tiring night. The Elven girl had nodded off a couple of times forcing Lucia to carry her and her things but overall she managed herself quite well.

Finally morning came, there wasn't much difference between morning and night on Relucesco besides the orange-pink tinge that washed over the sky when it was time to sleep. The daytime sky was a bright blue and on a good day there wasn't a cloud in the sky.

"Lucia Look!!" Asher smiled running ahead, peering out from the last few trees of the forest was a huge open plain. It was a vast space of emptiness, only grass and a few shrubs scattered here and there. In the far distance you could see tall brownish grey objects. If you got close to them you'd realise they were Orc mud houses and that it was a colony of them.

"It's so beautiful!!" the girl smiled, she'd never ventured out of her home village, Primo. She'd never had a reason to and was warned of the dangers of the outside world. The silver haired girl then turned back to Lucia with a smile. "So to the East is Otium, that's the harbor town, Tempero is to the West" She recited what she had been told by her father. "Tempero is probably the easiest place to start with!" and so she headed west, not bothering to wait for Lucia to follow.

Asher then stopped and squinted. There was something in the distance... it was getting nearer and nearer... she couldn't figure out what it was until it was only a few meters in front of them. "A-A Lupis!!!" she cried out, Lupis were large feral wolves, they often scoured the land looking for the corpse of creatures that hadn't made it through the plains alive... they were like the vulchers of this land, and it was this Lupis's lucky day! Fresh alive meat and it was heading straight for Asher.

She fumbled for her bow, dropping it before quickly scooping it up again. She didn't know how to use it, she held it out in front of her and closed her eyes, hoping with all her might that the arrow would just form and shoot itself.

"C'mon, c'monnn!!" but nothing happened and the wolf bounded closer

(OOC) Sorry for the minor godmodding at the start Mortel, it was just so I could take it to the next day :) Lucia can save Asher now ;)

Also everyone, it's the next day!

While everyone else had been concentrating on the warrior orcs, Ezelus focused his attention to the small party of archers following close behind, firing their arrows into the battlefield...

"Now, now, it seems you all don't know how to play fair, hmm?" He said calmly, cracking his neck, closing his eyes then flashing them wide open, His blood staff resonated with his own aura, as Ezelus grasped the staff and slammed the tip on the ground, then slowly making his way further up the path, as if possessed by his bloodlust.

Ezelus soon reached within range of the archers, and the sun started to shine upon him. He looked at the orcs, who had stopped firing arrows, semi-petrified at the crazed expression Ezelus has on his face....

Ezelus looked up at the orcs, then started shaking and laughing to himself uncontrollably.

"Those who don't play fair........ SHALL BURN IN HELL!!!!!!!" He shouted, as he swung his staff crazily, fire gushing out from the staves tip, incinerating the archers where they stood.

All seemed to be going well in this battle. The ranged foes were taken care of, but the warrior orcs were still alive. Ezelus looked down at the dead archers, relishing in their blood, proceding to cut open their stomachs in order to coat his staff in more blood, when one of the orcs that had crept up from behind the archers, sliced at Ezelus's back.

Ezelus felt a jolt to the back, then fell to the ground, not knowing who had hit him, thinking to himself "Dammit!.... How cowardly, hitting an opponent from behind, and hitting an opponent of a different class no doubt!"...

(OOC: Ezelus ain't dead, he's just not gonna move for a bit cos he got back-raped.)

Waking up, Aklyss found that seemingly nothing had changed. The guards stood at their posts yet they seemed more vigilant and one seemed to be keeping his gaze solely on Aklyss. Getting out from under the rainsheet, he stretched and adjusted his armour.

For some reason his body always ran freezing cold to the point where it seemed it would solidify his own blood. It came to be that he slept in his armour and wore it during the day to keep just from happening. Despite that, he still wore his robes over them and even now he was still cold. At least he had better defense than most against attacks; the orc's mace hadn't done anything more than tap him.

As he was putting up his camp the guard that was watching him came over to him.

"Hate to bother you but you didn't happen to see any groups of people traveling together? About 5?"

Continuing to fold up the rainsheet, Aklyss kept a passive look.

"There's a festival in Primo and people are coming and going from that in groups. You'll have to be more specific than that."

"Well...um.. you see...we don't really know what they look like."

Casting a icy gaze over the guard it was obvious that he wasn't the most experienced one and that was from his age. He couldn't have been more than 18, just a little older than Aklyss.

"Then how will you know who they are?"

The guard remained silent.

"So you're just going to stop everyone in groups of 5 until you find these people. Not very reliable."

"Well I kinda thought they'd have a a sort of noble air about them. Saving the world and all that," the guard mumbled.

"Saving the world?" Aklyss's lips twitched slightly, as if trying to form a smile.

"Aduro's chosen ones to save the planet. It seems they've been awakened."

"Interesting."

Apparently the king had gotten wind of this somehow and was now looking for them. But why?

"I'd guess you plan to help them."

"We're supposed to bring them to the king immediately."

Not exactly a good answer but it could be worse.

"I apologize for detaining you, sir. I've got to return to my post."

Akylss simply gave him a small go away motion with his hand as he pushed the last of his camp into his bag.

Leaving the guards, Aklyss continued on to Tempuro. Unaccosted, he found a number of guards at the gate, the same vigilance prevalent here as the guardpost. Without a second glance they let him pass. Clearly, they were looking for groups.

Wandering through the forest, Lucia found herself carrying Asher more than Asher herself walked, though Lucia didn't mind it too much. As time went on eventually they reached the edge of the Plains at which point a newly invigorated Asher began to explore it like a child. Though it didn't bother Lucia, she'd rather Asher calmed down in case anything was out there, to which she jinxed herself as Asher called out.

Running after her she saw Asher fumble with her bow as a small group of Lupis charged for her, though normally scavengers, meat is meat especially when it didn't resist much.

"Asher! Get away!" Lucia called out, running as fast as she could while tired. Grabbing one of her blades she hurled it at one of the Lupis, intended to strike it in the head it missed and barely struck it's right foreleg. Though it fell to the ground, the rest were still able to attack her, Lucia jumped back as one lunged at her and nearly lost her balance as she pulled out her grappling hook and swung it in a 360 arc, smashing it into the Lupis' skull and killing it instantly.

"You really... Know how to pick a bad day" Lucia was quickly fatiguing, trying to keep herself awake as she pulled out her blade and slashed the stomach of another Lupis the small group began to run away as Lucia fell onto all fours before laying down on her back. "Damn... It"

"The ears on my head do more than grace my face." he spoke as the young man came towards the tent. He heard everything that was spoken. Robert came out of his tent and looked over to the new kid. "Looks like we're going to have to trail them. Come on, help me tear down the tent and pack it into the saddlebag. We can follow them on my riding tiger." the wolven prince said as he began to break down the tent. "Well, at least I got a few hours of sleep." he muttered.

With Lucia

"Asher! Get away!"

Asher heard Lucia scream at her. The girl still had her eyes closed shaking in fear she didn't want to be dog food, she was definitely not ready to die, her adventure had only just started. Suddenly the sound of screaming and yelping filled the air. The young elf opened one eye, it darted around as she watched what was going on. Lucia was hacking and slashing at the Lupis, there were more now, they must have heard the commotion but Lucia was keeping them at bay.

"Please Lucia be careful!!"
she ran out of the way and watched from a distance, feeling so pathetic and helpless. "Why am I so useless?" she whispered to herself as she watched on.

Eventually the remaining dogs fled, tails between their legs, Lucia had won the fight but she was clearly exhausted. The woman fell to her hands and knees. Asher ran to her and placed her hand on her back, tilting her head so she could see Lucia's face.

"You did good Lucia." She smiled rubbing her hand against the womans back soothingly. "I am so sorry I wasn't of any help... I am so sorry you've burnt your energy trying to protect me..." her bottom lip quivered as she tried not to cry. She was such a pathetic damsel in distress...

"Hmm, I can try to heal you... you don't have any wounds but my healing magic can make you feel a little more refreshed? Please lay on your back for me?" the girl then waited for Lucia to respond. Asher was quite good at using her magic...she just hadn't mastered how to channel it through her bow.

Channing (Chuck) Freeley
Baron Road

Things were going rather well...or as well as they could in the middle of the battle. Chuck had Taken out two Orcs, Vex had also. Celestia seemed to be having fun hacking and carving at their enemies.... so much in fact that it was scaring Chuck a little... she really was a savage fighter... it was almost a turn on. Ezelus had been hit in the back but Chuck felt that the man was playing on the pain a little...that guy was hard to figure out.

Ferion had only just entered the battle. He had two Orcs surrounding him. Chuck didn't bother to go and help, he was too busy running towards an archer orc, the thing looked horrified, aiming its arrow in chucks direction, it fired... and scraped against the mans right shoulder. Chuck laughed loudly leaping into the air, bringing his sword above his head and with great force he brought it down, hitting the creature down the middle slicing it from his head to his waist, almost cleanly in half.

The creature twitched a bit but was ultimately dead. "Thats three!!" Chucks laugh boomed loudly over the sound of swords clanking. As he turned to look at how Vex was going he noticed something.

An arrow, flying through the air, it went straight past his head and hit Ferion right in the chest. The man's face scrunched up in pain as he gripped the arrow. One of the two Orcs he was fighting with brought their sword round and stabbed it through the dark elves stomach, blood dribbling from the wound. The fowl creatures snorted happily, the second one taking his sword to the man's head, it grunted something in it's language and with a quick swipe, he took the man's head off.

"F-Ferion!!!" Chuck gasped in shock. "Man down!!" He called rage building inside him as he saw one of the orcs carrying Ferion's body away... most probably for their next meal. Chuck was not going to allow the elf to become Orc food and so, in a rage he drove his sword through the stomach of Orc carrying the body. "Ya Little fuck!!" he snarled looking it dead in the eye. That was his fourth kill but the game was clearly forgotten in his mind now.

(OOC) Ok so Justice Ramza has left the RP so I have killed off Ferion. Licky will be joining with his new character in a couple of days so we'll continue on until we meet him.

Laying down, lacking the energy to stand any longer Lucia found herself being comforted by the concerned Asher, to think she was the one protecting her and now it was her who needed help from Asher. Noticing Asher's lip quiver Lucia reassuringly placed her right hand to Asher's cheek "Cheer up, it spoils your pretty face" Lucia let out a small laugh before trying in vain to bring herself to her feet again, eventually giving up she looked at Asher again.

"alright, you win, energise me up then"
Lucia didn't want to waste Asher's energy too much, after all this journey was going to be taxing enough on her as it is without her having to heal every little injury.

Though dingy and filth ridden like everything in Colligo, the cafe was very nice Indigo thought. Simple metalwork twined around rough wooden furnishings and beams, lit by the oily yellow brightness of artificial light. The cafe looked out on a dark nondescript street, one of many that made up the mining town. Indigo assumed the place was run by a miner's family who were either too young or too frail to survive down in the mines, though it made little difference to him. The scarred ex-fighter was delicately dissecting a wedge of the establishment's chocolate cake, which had been advertised as 'a taste of the divine'. It was a simple enough affair, plain cake with some chocolate frosting, and veined with caramel. Sighing softly for a moment Indigo finally plucked a modicum from his plate, and lazily bit into it.

Without warning Indigo's head seemed to explode with noise, as if he had been struck between the eyes with a bell. Barely having a second to draw breath, the befuddled wanderer experienced what felt like having lead blocks lined with meaning fall into his head. He was hearing words and speech, but on such a visceral level that no living creature should be able express. Nonetheless their meaning was clear and concise,

"The fall of a chosen means the birth of another.

You, the broken fighter, cast away like trash is destined to follow the unfinished path of one of my former followers.

For years I have waited for you, trapped in this planet by my nemesis and now You will begin an epic quest which will result in the awakening of I, your god Acerbus, I will take control and rule over my planet once again and you shall be rewarded handsomely.

500 years ago Aduro and I fought a mighty war and were merged with the planets. Our souls breaking into 8 pieces and burring themselves deep within the two worlds. We no longer have the strength to keep the planets alive and the worlds are starting to crack. I am weak and am no longer able to sustain Umbra. If the shards are not found soon I fear that both worlds will crumble.

I have entrusted you, and four others, my chosen ones, with the last of my power to go forth and collect 7 of the 8 Spirit Shards, if you do I will be restored and Umbra will be saved but the people of Relucesco will perish. If you fail, and the warriors from Relucesco succeed, this planet as you know it will cease to exist. The consequences of your actions from this moment forward are a matter of life and death.

Now take my power and go, go reunite with the 4 other chosen ones and become the saviors our planet needs before it is too late."

As the God's voice faded from his consciousness, he felt one of his palms begin to tingle and found himself gasping for breath. It felt as if Indigo had just broken the surface of the ocean, after being submerged in its depths. Unable yet, to truly comprehend what had just happened to him. The poor bastard could only think "I must have been grossly undercharged for that cake"

[OOC: Hehe. Slow on the posts nowadays 'cos of work and play. Mainly play though. :D And I lost count of how many orcs are there left lol]

Celestia

The battle quickly took a sour turn. What had been a breeze for Celestia - almost an entertaining respite - quickly became a torment. How could it be that one would fall in a battle as easy as this? Running over to Chuck, who mercilessly executed Ferion's killer, she hissed,"What the hell?!"

The number of orcs were already dwindling at this point, and it was becoming clear that even with one less on their team, the orcs would stand no chance. This realization seemed to resonate amongst the remaining orcs, as they hesitate briefly.

"Let's finish this up quick."

The scene played over and over again in Vex mind like some kind of horror movie. He saw Ferion drop before his eyes and somewhere in the back of his mind something snapped in his mind as his other self spoke to him in a much more sinister tone normal. "Those foul creatures, we must make them pay this. If anyone was gonna kill that annoying elf it should have been me."

Vex's eyes grew slightly dark as he rushed at the orcs he was charging earlier. The hilt of his sword glowing a light red he slung a small fireball at the left orc which when hit the fire just spread and engulfed it, incinerating it completely. Then the other one he charged at and jumped forwards bringing his sword down on while summoning another fireball except this time it covered his sword. The end result was the orc being cut in half and his insides seared from the heat of his sword. Now getting slightly out of breath and his eyes returning to their normal color he looked around. It seemed what little remaining orcs were left started to back down, realizing the mistake they made in attacking this group.

Now sheathing his sword Vex ran over to Chuck and Ferion. Getting over to the two he already knew it was to late, but he didn't want to believe it, seeing someone die before his eyes like that. He saw the man before him beheaded so solemnly he looked at Chuck and asked him one simple question. "How can this be, I mean are we not supposed to be chosen ones? Our god gave us his last remaining power or so he said, so how could one of us die so easily like that?"

Asher Brighton
The Plains
Speaking with Lucia.

Asher blushed as the woman cupped her cheeks, she found herself so relieved that Lucia was not too hurt and eventually she even gave in with the tough girl act and accepted Asher's power to heal her.

"Good, for a minute there I thought you were going to act all tough and try to continue on in your condition." she pouted, getting to her knees and hovering her hands above Lucia's stomach and chest.

"This will probably feel a little weird, everyone I've healed so far have told me it feels a little tingly." She smiled and closed her eyes. From the palms of her hands came a strange green glow, the glow covered Lucia's body before seeming to sink into her. Asher then removed her hands and stood up, looking down at the woman.

"Feeling better?" She laughed, stretching out a small hand for Lucia to grab onto.

Channing (Chuck) Freeley
The Baron Road.

"Let's finish this up quick." Came Celestia's voice as she came up behind him but the Orcs must have decided that this fight was too much for them and they began to retreat.

The tall man turned his attention to Vex... and he was shocked to be seeing what he was seeing. Fireballs being shot from the man's sword, he could use magic??

Chuck had a hatred for magicians. He loathed them ever since the war he fought in when they took out half his allies and now he was in a group with two of them...

Vex then made his way over to Celestia and Chuck, he seemed puffed out. Chuck hid his look of shock.

"How can this be, I mean are we not supposed to be chosen ones? Our god gave us his last remaining power or so he said, so how could one of us die so easily like that?"

"Aye guess this proves that we are nat immortal jus' because we have tha power Acerbus Gave us." Chuck sighed. "It also proves that we can't trus' in tha Gods, they don't have ar backs in this fight ta get what they want."

He turned his attention to the man below them, their former team member, now laying dead and headless at their feet.

"Poor guy.. we didn't even get ta know ya..." Chuck picked up the mans head and placed it next to the body and then looked at Vex. "Well Mage. Burn tha body so tha Orcs cannot get it, and then we must be on ar way."

Things were going to be a lot harder now, with just the four of them.

"C'mon Luv" He smiled at Celestia as he began to walk down the baron road "And ya too old creature, get up" He shouted to Ezelus who was still down.
