[V2] Last Movie You've Seen

Movie: The Runaways
Rating: M
Comments: Love it.

I really wanted to see this after I realized I really actually like Kristen Stewart, and came to the stand point of 'People over do their opinions on the movie Twilight' nothing wrong with liking it, nothing wrong with hating it, but to hate on an actress just for her facial expressions like I've seen a lot of people do, is ridiculous. I actually think she captures emotion pretty okay. Makes her stand out and not be the standard lip gloss blonde bimbo girl.

Anyway! Dakota Fanning and Kristen Stewart taking on the roles of the band The Runaways. I abslutely think that Kristen did an amazing job capturing Joan Jett, specially the "Great job, everyone, no really, great fucking job! Shut the FUCK UP." Olol. xD Loved the movie. Pretty weird girlxgirl kissing scene, but to be honest, even that seemed normal for the 'scene' it was in.

Definitely a great movie, and I'm glad I watched it.

I also watched...

Weird, but very nice still.

Another film featuring Kristen. I've definitely been interested in looking at more of her movies to see if she's really as shit as people make her out to be, and I actually like her better the more I see of her acting. (Shrug) This movie isn't really that much about her, but she's the daughter of one of the leading role players. I think she has the second leading role.

Pretty weird film, and I actually feel bad for one of the robbers, but... In the end, I guess things turned out like how they should've been, the guy that came in was not doing something good, so in the end, everyone got what they deserved. I actually like how at the end Kristen and her mom go on about what they were doing in the beginning of the movie. Like... o.o You just had a life story and you go back looking for... Yeah. :wacky: Weird movie. Very nice though.

Love this movie.

Anything with Sean William Scott is awesome! He reminds me of Steve. <3

The whole movie was hilarious. Paul Rudd knows how to really capture the character he plays in every movie!

He was awesome in Forgetting Sarah Marshall as the high surfie dude. XD

Then when he was the awkward sweet guy in I love you Man.

Awesome actors made an awesome movie!

Score: 10/10

Ghosts of Girlfriends past, which was on TV last night.

It was diabolical. I haven't seen anything as unbelievale in years. It's based on a Christmas Carol but it's nowhere near as clever and the so-called character development just didn't work. :/ The acting is decent enough... it's the script. The character is an idiot one moment, then starts to develop, then reveals himself to be exactly the same as he was before, then suddenly changes for good. The girl he messed around 10 years before (whilst in school, no less) is still single and takes him back. What a joke. I don't even want to give it a rating. :#

Sorry if anyone here likes it...

For some reason I've only ever seen the second movie all the way through.

The first one came on the other night but I didn't get to watch it properly, though I got the gist of it.

It's only made me want to watch it more now. :gonk:

Was so funny how they made fun of scary movies. XD It really grossed me out when that chick broke her own leg though. >.<

Paranormal Activity 3.

It was shit.

I was kinda hoping for something pretty good since it was supposed to mark the end of a trilogy (although I have no doubts there will be a fourth) but the fact the jumpiness was limited let me down. It was certainly more tense than the previous two films with the inclusion of the moving camera and the demon was much better portrayed with the use of the two children but that's about as good as it got.

I was disappointed that they used basically all of the same techniques in Paranormal Activity 2 to the point you could almost pin point exactly what was going to happen and when. When it came to the actual storyline the trailer made more sense then the actual film given that a good 90% of the clips used in the trailer weren't actually in the cinematic version of the film and a lot of what tied the three films together was either cut from the film after it was recorded or was just never included when it should have been. Thanks to that, when trying to tie the three films together it makes no sense. I HATE the fact they try to make the film funny at times too.

The only significant good parts I liked was the ending, simply because it was much better than the ending of Paranormal Activity 2 and when Katie and the guy were doing Bloody Mary in the bathroom.

Massively disappointed.

I love the cast in this movie.

Very funny movie. Paul Rudd was especially awesome in this. XD

I thought it was funny when Andy was constantly practicing what he was going to say to people. XD Whether it be a comeback from something said to him or whether he was trying to figure out what to say before he called someone on the phone. >.<

Movie: In Time
Rating: PG-13

Justin Timberlake's new movie where Olivia Wilde plays his mom. :ohshit:

The plot had mega potential to be a deep and provocative film. The archetypes and implications bordered on the philosophical and poignant. There were some deep messages present regarding civilization, the human condition & economic conditions. Class warfare, etcetera.

I'm bummed with how they implemented and attempted to resolve things. :gonk:

It had so much potential! Much of it was flushed down a toilet.

I watched Halloween Town with my baby cousin, she seemed to thoroughly enjoy it anyways. I saw it when I was a kid and thought it was great, so apparently I was a fucking twat when I was younger. Still it was fun to watch with her, afterwards I asked if she liked it. She said she liked the fruggle, I asked her what the fruggle was, then she vomited in my lap.

Erm WTF?

It was shit.

It ended right when I thought it was just starting to get good. I thought it was building up to something and then the credits roll?

Not the best movie. I dunno why everyone seems to think this was a 'classic'. 'Oooooh it's just so scary.' Whatever, I've seen way scarier films than this. =/

I watched a lot of movies this weekend because there was nothing on tv really :(

First I watched Fast Five on Friday night.

I was actually surprised at how much I ended up liking this. Pretty much the whole crew from a lot of the previous movies come back for this last one and they plot out a plan for a heist. The action was non stop for the most part...and there were a few plot twists here and there. The ending was amazing...I was like whut 8( But overall I was really impressed. The acting is never that great in these movies but you really don't watch them for the acting anyways, you watch them for the action really. 9/10.

Yesterday I finally got around to watching my Netflix movie, Tangled.

This was probably the best Disney movie I've seen since WALL-E. I loved it. The story was pretty detailed for a Disney movie, the music was pretty good...and you really feel pulled into the character's ordeal...in this case, Rapunzel. Visually, they did a really good job with this too. I might end up ordering this off of Amazon at some point because I really didn't expect to end up liking it so much :lew: 10/10.

Just got Zombie Land on DVD, pretty funny movie :) Glad zombies don't scare me like they did when I was a kid lol.

Movie: Bridesmaids

Rating: M

Comments:
Erm, Bridesmaids was okay.

It was most definitely not the funniest movie of the year.

The way people carried on about it was as if it was funnier than The Hangover. I was waiting pretty much the entire time for it to get funny.

I can recall maybe 2 or 3 funny moments.

Shit movie.

Score: 2/10

2 points for each funny scene I can remember.

Rain Man

This movie so old...I was going through stuff I had set aside for our church rummage sale...which never happened this year but hopefully will the next...and I found this and decided to give it another watch before I put it back in the rummage pile. This movie is about the typical rich, know-it-all businessman who finds out that he has a long lost brother. The brother has some issues..and I don't want to get into it and ruin the movie for anyone, but it makes him very hard to get along with and adapt to the constant changes that we have in our lives...even the most minor of things. Its a really sad movie, it makes you kind of realize the hardships people can have in their family dynamics, as well as other things. The ending was sad too :( A really good movie though...even though I'm not a fan of Tom Cruise. Ray was really well acted by Dustin Hoffman.

8/10.

This movie was pretty funny.

I love Russell Brand. <3 His character was awesome in this movie.

I think it could have been a bit funnier. I love it when comedies make me laugh non-stop and so hard that I end up crying. XD

Still it is an awesome movie and has a lovely story. <3

Score: 10/10

I watched Evil Dead on Halloween. It's a cult horror movie from the early 80's. It's hard to say what rating I would give it. I enjoyed the movie but it isn't something that I would recommend to people. It's gory even with the cheesy 80's speical effects and some parts still creep me out. I guess if you love horror I would recommend checking it out.

I watched this tonight!

I had seen this before but I'd totally forgotten what it was about and it was like watching it for the first time again!

Fantastic action scenes the entire way through! It was non-stop!

Loved the ending!

Totally didn't expect it! XD

The Rock is looking old though. :sad3:

Movie: Law Abiding Citizen

Rating: MA15+

Comments: An amazing movie. Gerard Butler blew me away with his role as Clyde Shelton. Not to mention how the events that occur around Clyde makes the audience wanting to root for Clyde even though he is portrayed as the 'bad guy'.

It's one of my favourite movies, but it could've been my most favourite had it not been for that bullshit Hollywood ending.

Score: 9/10

Last movie I saw was Immortals.

It wasn't all that bad. We also saw it in 3D because the non 3D theater was closed at midnight for some odd reason, forcing me to drive my friends through thick fog all over the place (which was a total nightmare). I didn't like that the movie had some Greek mythology wrong, but it was somewhat loosely based on them anyways. Overall I thought it was an okay movie, but I probably wouldn't bother buying/renting it or watching it again any time soon.

The Swan Princess!

This movie was wonderful! The love story was traditional yet made original by comic characters, who were genuinely amusing to watch. Some of the scenes and lines were just fantastic! :lew:

It was a feel-good movie, but sad in parts too. :( Certain scenes towards the end really did make me feel a bit upset.

Oh, and the voice acting was perfect. Each actor managed to bring their character to life. The accents/tones/dialects were very well chosen. :)

Animation-wise, it was on par with Disney and other animated classics from the time like Anastasia. Prince Derek could have been a little more attractive though. :wacky:

It was very well-written. 9.5/10! :D

Belleville Rendez-Vous

This film could quite possibly define the weird and wonderful genre! It's so incredibly wacky, and most of it is told through the characters' expressions and gestures; there are probably about 10 spoken lines in the whole movie.

Noticing that her grandson, Champion, is a lonely little boy, Madame Souza buys him his first bicycle. Years go by, and with Madame Souza putting him through his paces, Champion becomes worthy of his name.

Now, he is ready to enter the Tour de France. But no sooner than the race has begun, two mysterious men in black kidnap him and it is up to Madame Souza and her faithful dog, Bruno, to rescue him.

Soon, their quest takes them to a giant metropolis, called Belleville, where they encounter three eccentric female music hall stars of the 1930s and do battle with the evil French magia. But can they rescue Champion?
The characters in this movie were just great! so many quirky, unique habits - the grandmother pushes up her glasses and whistles a rhythm to which her grandson cycles; after having his tail run over by a toy train, the dog Bruno is forever barking at trains and dreaming about riding them.

Then there are the three crazy sisters! :lew: The presentation of their music and rhythm is incredible in and of itself! :)

The experience was surreal, moving, funny and so artistically created. If you want to see something different, I'd certainly recommend watching it. :)
