Aqua's Theme - Kingdom Hearts

Lol. I kinda betrayed Final Fantasy, and the Gamer's Code!!! :(

But, I blame my school for it :D The examinations' closeness meant that I cannot afford to use too much time to play, so I spared only 5 hours to rush through the entire of Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep. Well, how is that possible, you might wonder. And I was playing the hardest possible difficulty too- Critical Mode :)

Yeah, you guessed it. Cheats. :D

THE EXAMINATIONS ARE JUST A FEW DAYS AWAY. I HAD NO CHOICE

Ahem, so goes my excuse.

I started with Aqua's path, and whoo. This was a piece that was constantly recurring throughout the game. It sounded somewhat melancholic... But has the sort of wow-its-nice feel to it. A strangely beautiful theme for a character, encompassing a sort of profoundly grave expression. I guess that's the best way for me to describe it. A must listen, people, :D

Little Motel - Modest Mouse

2:30 - 3:36 :ryan::ryan::ryan:

It's a pretty old song of theirs and probably one of the more popular ones but I still really like it.

Urban Solitude - Anouk

This song's gorgeous. Love the story it tells and I love the lyrics. It's so well written, and it just caught my attention right away. Anouk is a dutch artist, and I'm friggin' proud of her. <3

I've got a bug in my head
And a jumping heart
No time to spare
Turn left turn right step on it
Stopped by the traffic light

And all that honking screaming
The cabdriver is dreaming
Of the beach and babes
Leaning back easy as the sun goes down
But I'm already late
No time to spare, couldn't care less about it
If the sky was falling down
No I don't care you can stare while the whole world is crumbling around me

Urban solitude breaking me down
Keeps me dreaming
Urban solitude shaking me down
Keeps me dreaming

So you've got a lot of stuff on your mind
Or a bleeding heart when nobody cares
Step in, step out of the rain
Head for the flickering lights, just head for the flickering lights

There's always somebody dancing, taking a chance
You can find a little romance, someone will give you love
Although it's just enough to get you through the night
Well alright now
No I don't care you can stare
I don't care about it
No I don't care you can stare, while the whole world is crumbling around me

Urban solitude breaking me down
Keeps me dreaming
Urban solitude shaking us down
Keeps me dreaming

Littlething - jimmy eat world

just bought theyre new album and ive been trying so so so hard to really get into it but i just cant. Theyre last album was just utterly amazing and sadly the new one doesnt even come close to being anywhere near as good. This is probadly my favourite song on the album, Kind of a typical jew sound but it still doesnt have that energy and emotion that i get when i listen to songs like dizzy, polaris kill etc.
I think im gunna have to accept the fact that this labum just isnt what im wanting it to be. :sad3:

Toro Y Moi - Blessa

This song is quite theraputic and calming. I usually do something creative like drawing or studying as I'm listening to it. I think anyone would enjoy this song, but can never be too sure, since we all have different tastes.

Led Zeppelin - The Wanton Song
Hot damn, that guitaring is sexy as hell. I mean, it's simple and just damn sexy. Jimmy Paige is amazing in this song. And the vocals are amazing as well. Plants best if I do say so.

Also, how can I forget John B. The drumming is simple but not lacking.

Pictures of You - The Cure

Love this song. The Cure has been one of my favourite bands for the longest, and this is just such a laid back song. You can just listen to the music, and it calms me down right away. The lyrics are gorgeous, the extended instrumental version is absolutely amazing, too. (Which is the one I'll link) but... man... I love 'em.

i've been looking so long at these pictures of
you that i almost belive that they're real i've
been living so long with my pictures of you that
i almost believe that the pictures are all i can
feel

remembering you standing quiet in the rain as
i ran to your heart to be near and we kissed as
the sky fell in holding you close how i always
held close in your fear remembering you
running soft through the night you were bigger
and brighter, and whiter than the snow and
screamed at the make-believe screamed at the
sky and you finally found all your courage to
let it all go

remembering you fallen into my arms crying
for the death of your heart you were stone
white so delicate lost in the cold you were
always so lost in the dark remembering you
how you used to be slow drowned you were
angels so much more than everything oh hold
for the last time then slip away quietly open
my eyes but i never see anything

if only i had thought of the right words i could
have hold on to your heart if only i'd thought of
the right words i wouldn't be breaking apart all
my pictures of you

Looking So long at these pictures of you but i
never hold on to your heart looking so long for
the words to be true but always just breaking
apart my pictures of you

there was nothing in the world that i ever
wanted more than to feel you deep in my heart
there was nothing in the world that i ever
wanted more than to never feel the breaking
apart all my pictures of you

The Cave - Mumford & Sons

Been on repeat for most of the day. :lew: Great song, can't fault it.

It's empty in the valley of your heart
The sun, it rises slowly as you walk
Away from all the fears
And all the faults you've left behind

The harvest left no food for you to eat
You cannibal, you meat-eater, you see
But I have seen the same
I know the shame in your defeat

But I will hold on hope
And I won't let you choke
On the noose around your neck

And I'll find strength in pain
And I will change my ways
I'll know my name as it's called again

Cause I have other things to fill my time
You take what is yours and I'll take mine
Now let me at the truth
Which will refresh my broken mind

So tie me to a post and block my ears
I can see widows and orphans through my tears
I know my call despite my faults
And despite my growing fears

But I will hold on hope
And I won't let you choke
On the noose around your neck

And I'll find strength in pain
And I will change my ways
I'll know my name as it's called again

So come out of your cave walking on your hands
And see the world hanging upside down
You can understand dependence
When you know the maker's land

So make your siren's call
And sing all you want
I will not hear what you have to say

Cause I need freedom now
And I need to know how
To live my life as it's meant to be

And I will hold on hope
And I won't let you choke
On the noose around your neck

And I'll find strength in pain
And I will change my ways
I'll know my name as it's called again

Empire State Of Mind - Glee

I think the original version is genius - Alicia Keys has a killer vocal - but the Glee version is still really good. I like their unique twist on it, and the Rachel and Mercedes characters have some great vocal runs, it's a fun song, and just so very catchy. I like how most of the characters get to sing in it too. Although, it needs less Rachel and more Mercedes.

Teenage Dream - Katy Perry

I hadn't been listening to much of the latest craze in the music industry for a while now, so I searched the Billboard top-ranking songs to get something that I can listen to and enjoy. Teenage Dream is one of the songs I went on to listen to.

Quite an interesting song... The starting part is like... Urgh. I like to sing along with songs after all... But... Tch. Maybe Katy Perry was trying to flaunt her vocals? Sure. She wins. It's too high for me. Well, I think I like this song more for the tune than the lyrics.

The lyrics seems more like some story an some adolescent would relate to best.... >.> Urgh. I make myself sound old... But yeah, these sort of songs seem to be happily singing of sex, or how desperately they seem to want it. :\ I prefer lyrics that are more meaningful, perhaps, like the Billboard number 1, Just The Way You Are.

But oh well, this song has got the beat to follow to, so well. Good enough. :D

Muse - Undisclosed Desires

It's not what I expected from them, but it's a pleasant surprise at that. The music makes for rising tension and the lyrics are catchy. I wasn't so sure it was Matt Bellamy singing at first, but then the chorus kicked in and I realised it was. Not a bad Muse song, but I much prefer the likes of Uprising and Supermassive Black Hole when it's upbeat.

Nobou Uematsu - Ahead On Our Way
Main reason is because I'm playing the RPG game on here right now and it kind of flows with the environment my character is in right now. Plus, it gives a nice tune to my room whenever I'm drawing or doing something creative. I probably have more instrumental music than I do actual music.

AC/DC - Highway to Hell

Fantastic song, reminds me of Supernatural a lot. Mind, I was just watching the pilot, heard it come on and smiled. It's one of those few old school rock and roll songs that gets me really pumped up and belt out the chorus. Even though there isn't a meaning if any at all, it's a fun song to kick back and relax to, whatever you're doing.

Ke$ha - Take It Off

Still pretty much one of my favourite songs from this year. I like the laidback attitude she has when she sings and the insinuation that it's not just clothes to take off. It may be somewhat autotuned and people may not like it, but I think it works towards the song itself. She sings this very well and it's one of my favourites from Animal.

10/10

Just Like The Others ~ Eyeshine

In this song, Johnny displays some great vocals. People always critisize him, if not his whole band, purely because he use to be a power rangers star, and is now in the music industry. But when you hear their albums, you'll disagree. The kind of rock they do is Edge rock, but it does have qualities of mainstream rock. So if your a fan of rock, or even a fan of Johnny Yong Bosch, then you should youtube em'

Emilie Autumn- Unlaced.

I love Gothic and classical mixes like this ;3

If you like those kinds of songs, then definitely check out some work by Midnight Syndicate, and Nox Arcana.

Attack Attack! - I Kissed a Girl

Just a remix version of Katy Perrys original.

Love it. <3

A guy sings this version and it's really quite good.

Remixes are always awesome to listen to. <3

Oh, yes totally~ <3
