Kelly Clarkson - Miss Independent

The first song I heard from her and it's still as good as the first listen. I like how she's able to make this song fun and then vulnerable towards the end. Not a lot of artists I hear nowadays are able to do that. The producton of it is very well done and not too overhyped or overdone. The chorus is practically catchy and it comes to a great conclusion.

Fences - Paramore

Upbeat and rocky song. I have my Paramore play list on repeat again, so it's a Paramore night. Awesome song, and I love the lyrics. I wish it wasn't 3am, so I could blast this through the house, instead of on earphones. xDD

Huzzah for Paramore.

River Deep, Mountain High - Glee Version

This Mercedes/Santana duet is really great, their two voices sound fantastic together and they really give it some oomph. I can't stop listening to it, it's just so catchy, and I'm a total sucker for big diva voices, and this song is a great showcase for the two girls' vocals.

i know what i am - band of skulls
this is the only song of theirs that i know, but i think it's absolutely fantastic. they sound quite a bit like the white stripes but a little heavier on the bass instead of drums. brilliant stuff.

Dream Theater - In the Presence of Enemies Pt. 2

Epic. I can't think of any word that could define this song better. It's so dark and heavy. Listening to it side by side with part one will take about half an hour but it's so awesome that it's hard to care.

Broken Man - Boys Like Girls

I love this song... There's two lines in particular that really get to me in this song, and I remember always quoting them in my sig space when I first joined. Love the song. Boys Like Girls have some really great songs to their names. =)

I wanna scream, until no sound comes out and you've learned your lesson. ♫
I wanna run... But only far enough to make you miss me... ♪

roll with it - oasis
sadly a more forgotten track by them, but i rate it very highly. pretty much just your normal oasis track; catchy guitar and brilliant songwriting. :ryan:

"WDR- Final Fantasy Medley"

watched the concert from WDR last year on the internet and the new cd they made really enhanced the 4 works they did, FF track is 18 minutes and great music

Nancy Ajram - Kol Ma Tedi - The more you give

Such an EPIC song! I swear it's got the best dancing beat I've heard in A LONG time. The lyrics are strong and meaningful. And her vocalizing is simply AMAZING <33 I swear, it's one of the best songs I've ever heard of. And the chorus of the fast beeping techno sound is so addictive. I just cannot stop listening to it.

I've probably listened to it on repeat... like seven times already. It's just an amazing brilliant song to dance and listen to.

Tasmin Archer--"Sleeping Satellite"

This song was fairly popular in the 90's, and I actually just remembered its existence today and decided to look it up...And now I can't stop singing and listening to it :awesome: She's got a really good, clear, pretty voice, and after watching the video for the first time today, I finally realized what the song is about--though it could possibly be a metaphor for love, it's essentially about questioning the world, and the way ever since the age of discovery or earlier, humans have been rushing into things like technological advancements without always considering the consequences. I'm interested to know though, if the song isn't a metaphor for love, whom she's actually blaming :hmmm: Anyway, I'm loving this song, here're the lyrics:

I blame you for the moonlit sky
And the dream that died with the eagle's flight
I blame you for the moonlit nights
When I wonder why are the seas still dry?
Don't blame this sleeping satellite

Did we fly to the moon too soon?
Did we squander the chance? In the rush of the race
The reason we chase is lost in romance
And still we try to justify the waste
For a taste of man's greatest adventure

I blame you for the moonlit sky
And the dream that died with the eagle's flight
I blame you for the moonlit nights
When I wonder why are the seas still dry?
Don't blame this sleeping satellite

Have we lost what it takes to advance?
Have we peaked too soon? If the world is so green
Then why does it scream under a blue moon?
We wonder why if the earth's sacrificed
For a price of its greatest treasure

I blame you for the moonlit sky
And the dream that died with the eagle's flight
I blame you for the moonlit nights
When I wonder why are the seas still dry?
Don't blame this sleeping satellite

And when we shoot for the stars
What a giant step, have we got what it takes
To carry the weight of this concept?
Or pass it by like a shot in the dark
Miss the mark with a sense of adventure

I blame you for the moonlit sky
And the dream that died with the eagle's flight
I blame you for the moonlit nights
When I wonder why are the seas still dry?
Don't blame this sleeping satellite

Brandon Flowers - Crossfire

It's a pretty decent song for a solo debut. Highly reminds me of stuff that The Killers would do, but then that's to be expected. But I like Brandon on his own, there are slow rock songs that he can do. The lyrics are catchy, especially the chorus. I love his voice, it is so emotional. Been really loving this just lately.

Goodbye To You - Michelle Branch

So, recently in my school, there was a farewell assembly organized to bid our seniors farewell, as they disappear for a month long break-- study break, in fact. Their major examinations are coming soon after all, and as a show of appreciation, our school organized this little assembly... And this was one of the songs that was played in a video that our teachers specially made for them.

Quite a touching song, and more so when played with all the pictures of our seniors appearing on the screen.

The happy moments, the funny moments. It gets me thinking about what exactly memories are in light of such a torturous regime that is my current school life. As I think, I wonder what memories of the school I would have as I leave. Regrettably, I conclude that I won't have any good memories, maybe except that this was the institution where I matured greatly, and actually changed from my previous self in secondary school.

... I digressed. This song is quite nice, and the lyrics does make for quite a good farewell song. :D

For Good -- Wicked Cast.

9/10

I actually found the tempo a little too slow for my taste, so I edited it and sped it up. I ended up liking the song so much more.
A really good song, but it might end up putting you to sleep. :wacky:

Enrique Iglesias Feat. Nicole Scherzinger - Heartbeat

It's a nice song, not too overproduced or overhyped. It's very beautiful. I like how they came together to sing this song together and I don't think I could've imagined anyone else singing this with Enrique. Now it's a secret little guilty pleasure of mine to hear it a lot. The video isn't raunchy either, but manages to convey the emotions of the song very well. I'll still love this in five years to come.

Eminem feat Rihanna - Love The Way You Lie

Unwillingly. Its playing as the background in the room I'm in right now because a bunch of kids insisted we'd listen to it on full screen. I don't care much for the song but I do remember how it ended up on the news because consumers believed it was sending out the wrong message to listeners about domestic violence. But I dunno, I don't like Rihanna, and Eminem has done better records.

Muse - Plug-In Baby

Been too long, Mr Bellamy. Too long.

Nancy Ajram - Ok!

This is off of her latest album, and it's simply stunning! I love how she vocalizes in this song, it's fast and dancy and just a fun song to listen to. She's is an international singer and it's a shame nobody in the US knows of her. She has more talent than 90 percent of the pop artists on the charts today.

Dirty Projectors - No Intentions

This song I could listen to anywhere I'm at. Since I'm at school right now, its still easy to concentrate doing work while listening to this type of music since its nothing too crazy but nothing too soft either. It's even added to the list of songs to vote for to play at senior graduation. It's truly a calming show.

Gorillaz - 19/2000

Been too long since I listened to Gorillaz, pretty much all their songs are rather relaxing, not trying to be too loud or whatnot. Sort of thing, if I had a car... Would make amazing driving music :ryan:
