[V5] What are you currently listening to?

Kelly Clarkson - Hear Me

A very powerful song and one of the better ones from Breakaway. I wish she had released it as a single now that I've heard it, it would have been interesting to see how it was taken by the listening audience. Her voice sends shivers down my spine during certain parts and for me, that's when I know it's one of those songs I love.

Cyndi Lauper - Girls Just Want To Have Fun [click to listen]

Whenever I go out hanging out with my friends afterschool or going out somewhere for a long time in the weekends, my grandparents always express concern over nothing really to worry about. They should know that I'm a girl, and well, I like to have fun. And its not just me. I love this song so much because it describes one of our main hobbies in a fun way. That and its a beautiful classic ~

Enrique Iglesias Feat. Nicole Scherzinger - Heartbeat

Despite the countless of times I've played this on iTunes, this remains as one of my favourite songs from this year. I like how it's not overproduced and feels natural. Enrique and Nicole's voices blend in well together as well, which is an added bonus. The lyrics are very effective and the piano playing in the background somehow manages to send shivers down my spine. Overall, a standout from Euphoria.

Rammstein - Ohne Dich

Been absolute donkey's since I last listened to Rammstein. :lew:
Considering I've been listening to the Black Mages non-stop for the last 2 months a bit of variety is nice.

Breaking Benjamin - Anthem of the Angels

I first heard this in a fanmade trailer on YouTube and loved it, especially the emotional chorus. It's quite the beautiful song, which seemingly depicts a man's desire to protect his partner. I also love how it's got the alternative rock sound to it, gives it more of an edge. Excellent song in my opinion.

Periphery - Light

Instrumental version. Absolutely no idea as to why I'm getting back into this genre of music but it's really nostalgic to listen to, brings back memories and it seems like I've not even come across this genre for aaaaaaaages

Enrique Iglesias Feat. Pitbull - I Like It

Great party song and a great comeback for Enrique as well. I like how it's made his transition into electropop and made such a brilliant song out of it. I'm not overly keen on Pitbull's part, it didn't seem necessary for him to be there. His voice is still as good as ever and incredibly catchy! The production is also carefully laid out.

CSS - Alala [click to listen]

My friend played this for me two years ago when I was at her house. At first I didn't care for it, but a few months ago I was looking through Gods Girls photo sets, and one of the more popular members (I forget her name) had made a video of herself dancing to this song in thanks to a good friend of hers. I don't know why, but after that, I started to really like the song. It's something I (and other people with shitloads of energy.) can easily get up and dance to, and it's just a catchy song. At the moment, not sure how to describe it - besides that the singers aren't from America. And I love foreign bands.

Kuroshitsuji- You will rule the world(Sebastian)

Kuroshitsuji- Shampoo dream(Lau)

Kuroshitsuji- Shinigami(William T Spears)

Im listening to these 3, the first one mentioned is a song by the main character in the anime, like the character and you will like the song. The 2nd one I mentioned is by Lau, same voice of the guy who does Gin Ichimarus Seiyuu in Bleach, watch it 100 times and its still not boring. The 3rd one I mentioned is by William T Spears, a minor character in Kuroshitsuji, took time to get to like the song but its so amazing after you get use to it. I love all the songs of kuroshitsuji and the 3 above is all recommended to all members.

Paloma Faith - New York

A beautiful song and the production of this is so natural. Paloma's voice is unique and can reach some pretty high notes. I've warmed to this song in the past two months or so, wasn't originally a fan of it when I first heard it. I finally know what the meaning of the song is. It's a nice little song to listen to after a long day.

Oasis - Falling Down

Didn't even know this song was by Oasis.
Heard it first as the intro to the anime Higashi no Eden/Eden of the East a few months back.
I quite liked the Prodigy remix of this song as well.

Avantasia - Dying For an Angel

Something of a surprise track from this group I only recently started listening to. There's something insanely catchy about the whole thing as it's been the only album I've been listening to for the past three/four days now.

Incidentally; the guest vocalist on this track is Klause Meine from The Scorpions.

Owl City - Fireflies [click to listen]

This song I heard for the first time when our ASL class did a project where we had to sign a song. One of the songs that was signed by a girl was this one - Fireflies. I think it's a pretty meaningful song, despite how child like the lyrics seem to be, but it certainly promote extending the imagination of people. I can easily imagine each of the things mentioned as I listen to this song.

no one knows - queens of the stone age
definitely my favourite by them. dave grohl was a much better drummer than anything else, and that's what makes this song so good.

kuroshitsuji dark crow smiles

this sings in the final battle of the 1st season in kuroshitsuji, its pretty cool, takes time to get use to it if your not a fan of the anime. I had this in my head when I was doing my final french exam last year. And I still listen to it I like it a lot.

Shut Up - Simple Plan

There you go, you never ask why, it's all a big lie, whatever you do.

I hadn't been thinking much about this, but hey, this line reflects really well how things had roughly been thus far. My teacher is rather ridiculous, in my honest opinion. Like most teachers, she lectures with that holier-than-thou attitude... And of course, she seems to assume about everything about the person she lectures....

And in this case, me. Okay. Get out of my way! She's like going on about how my group didn't put in enough effort at all... How we have no team work...

... But wait. I get a feeling my group would agree too. Maybe I do as well...

SHUT UP, SHUT UP, SHUT UP...

Memoryhouse - Sleep Patterns [click to listen]

This is a very beautiful and calming song. I could fall asleep to it easily if I were to listen to it near my bedtime. Normally when I listen to it, I can reflect on deep thoughts I've had recently or in the past - and its even a good song to listen to while doing things like yoga; for yoga encourages the clearing of the mind and to set yourself in a peaceful atmosphere, this song can does the exact same thing. I'll never get tired of it.

Chris Thomas King- "Hard Time Killing Floor Blues"

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fhRmCMWdRqM

LOVE this song, it's the one from the O Brother, Where Art Thou? soundtrack where they're all sitting around the campfire and Tommy is playing acoustic guitar and singing. It's a very pensive song, and I've always thought it made the scene very powerful, it's a quiet blues song with a lot of feeling to it. 10/10.

Melanie C - I Turn To You

I've always admired Mel C and her remarkable voice in the Spice Girls, so I was delighted to hear she was going for a solo career. This was one of the first songs I ever heard from her, seeing as it was in the film Bend It Like Beckham. It's the perfect example for a song you'd hear in Ibiza at the time it was released. Ten years later, it's still as fantastic as the first play.

Celine Dion - Sorry For Love [click to listen]

I've been listening to Celine since I was 8 years old . My grandma had bought her album "One Heart" and I was awe-struck by how beautiful her voice was. This is one of my favorite songs by her, and I had at one time made an AMV with it (which I lost because it was on a flash drive that corrupted a long time ago.) . But I seem to sing along with it without realizing it sometimes. It's quite a pretty song.
