[V5] What are you currently listening to?

welcome to your wedding day - the airborne toxic event
absolutely obsessed with this band at the minute, i've just got their second album today. this has a lot of elements of green day in it so i'm surprised i like it so much.

When I First Kissed You - Extreme

Mm, funk metal. Odd mixture though they manage to mix it very well. Though this song has more of an old time, 1930's kind of sound. Like something you'd hear in a black and white film. That's what I like about this band. They really explore different sounds. I think it makes them unique. A very underrated band.

Emii- Mr Romeo (Seamus Haji Radio Edit)

I heard this on BPM yesterday on the way into the garage and I had to stop and listen. The girl who sings this has a really powerful yet pretty voice...and the lyrics are so sexy and sensual...I love it. The beat is pretty amazing as well. I'm addicted :inlove:

Where I Stood - Missy Higgings

This song has been kinda tugging on my heart for a few days now. Doesn't happen often that I get emotional over a song. =/ Could really kinda feel... that shiver and tear building going. Quickly became one of my favourite songs in less than 5 days... Gorgeous song, and an amazing set of lyrics... =/

I don't know what I've done...
Or if I like what I've begun...
There were sounds in my head...
Little voices whispering...

That I should go, and this should end...
Oh and I found myself listening...

'Cause I don't know who I am, who I am without you...
All I know is that I should...
And I don't know if I could stand, another hand upon you...
All I know is that I should...

'Cause she will love you more than I could...
She who dares to stand where I stood...

I love this song, it puts me in a great mood! Everyone should smile at life, and live happy not sad or angry! Everyone should open their heart for life and love it!

And the message couldn't carried any better than by Nancy's voice!

medelle eedak salem
Reach out for me

Aarrafny bnafsak ba'a w etkallem
Introduce yourself and speak up
seeb fel donya alama tallem neftekrak beha
Make us remember you by leaving a mark in this world
fe nas ne'abelha taddy
Some people pass by our lives and leave without leaving any marks
w fe nas betool el sama w taddy
And there's people who reach the sky and father
w tla'e elli wakhedha ta'adi da ell awal feha
And those who are up for a challenge are always winners

Nowhere I Can Go - Clara Hill (Atjazz's Astro Black Mix)

It's much more chill than the original. I actually think this remix far surpasses the original. It's definitely more complex in terms of musical structure. Every sound is effortlessly layered atop the next, Atjazz is a master of house tracks. He basically breathes life into the track and turns it into something else.

12/10

Eric Prydz- Niton (The Reason) (Club Mix)

This is new from Eric...I'm totally loving the effects with this and the lyrics are pretty fab. Whomever it is does the vocals has a pretty smooth voice...I'm loving it :inlove: ...I've had this on replay the last few days and I'm still not sick of it.

Emily Browning - Sweet Dreams (Are Made Of This)

Absolutely amazing cover!

Nancy Sinatra- These Boots Are Made For Walkin'

This is the classic girl song...I looooove it. Nancy was such a classic beauty, and boy she sure could sing a song with some sass. This song has always stood the test of time...I'll never get sick of it. :ryan:

Welcome to Jamrock - Damain Marley

I suppose comparisons to his father are inevitable, but this song is Dancehall, not Reggae. It sounds a lot more like a rap song than a reggae song. The song is about how Jamaica is a violent dangerous place, rather than the view that it's a lovely place with sandy beaches etc. The sampling of the line 'Out in the streets, they call it murder' sets the song up really well. Calling it Jamrock rather than Jamaica also shows that it's a tough place.

Little Dragon- Twice

I happened upon this song yesterday searching for music to listen to on YouTube...and this was one of the songs for one of the FMV's that I found that I liked. This song I think is about someone wanting to or who is cheating on someone that they love. With the vocals and the lyrics though it is a rather beautiful song...although haunting and eerily so.

Nicki Minaj - Super Bass

As my tag suggests, I like this song. It's been stuck in my head since day one. :rage: Normally, I rarely listen to pop except if I don't have a choice. Thanks to my younger sister's influences, and the fact that she swapped/stole my 8GB SD card for her 4GB - Justin Timberlake, Akon, Black Eyed Peas, Taylor Swift and Kesha are all I've been listening to. :rage:

I'm becoming a pop freak. :gonk:

Imogen Heap- Between The Sheets

I heard this yesterday...and I love it. She really has such an amazing voice...and while her songs may be on the simple side...that is part of what makes them so beautiful. The simple lyrics with the piano in the background makes this song what it is..which is lovely. ^_^

Lady Gaga - The Edge of Glory

Loved the sound of the title since I heard it announced months ago and it was just released a few moments ago. It's about time she released an uplifting song with no hidden agenda behind it. If there's any hate about this one it's purely on principal. :wacky:

TLC -- Creep

Ah man, TLC makes some of the best songs I have ever heard; creep, waterfalls, scrubs, unpretty. One of my favorites from the 90s, definitely. Always good, always have great meanings, lyrics, beats and perfect vocals!

This one reminds me of my parents Grand Prix. We use to ride around near the lakes and country sides listening to TLC :33

10/10

Kelly Rowland feat. Lil Wayne- Motivation

I am absolutely in love with this!!! I haven't heard much from Kelly for the last year...or year and a half. This is such a sexy song and the beat is amazing...she's still got it after all of these years. Lil Wayne being in this was a surprise...usually when he has a part in other people's songs it really irritates me because it cheapens the song...but yeah...he does good in this :inlove:

Anyone's Ghost - The National

I'm really starting to like the National a lot now. I liked High Violet when it came out, and I bought Sad Songs for Dirty Lovers for Christmas. Both are spectacular. This song is from High Violet, it's one of my favourites from the album. It's a sad song like most of theirs, but it's kind of a celebration of feeling sorrow. It's a lovely song, the way it's layered, how about half way through you get the piano. It's just such a good album.
