[V5] What are you currently listening to?

The Saturdays- Ego

I love the song name and the fact that the Saturdays are very impressive when it comes to vocals. It really makes them stand out from their current competitor Sugababes. I love Frankie and Vanessa in this song- both really do an amazing job. Ego is just utterly catchy and is ringing in my head ever since I first heard it at college.

System of a Down - Violent Pornography

Love the band and this is one of my fav tracks, Lyrics make me laugh and its a tune you can totally thrash around to. Has to be enjoyed at full volume or dont listen to it :D

'UN owen was her?' Remix by some random Youtube Guy. Very good for the frantic mood i'm in right now. It makes me feel like I'm in a fight with someone as I do this lol.

Ignorance, by Paramore.

>.>

I love songs that express exactly how you feel. Specially if they have a 'Fuck you, too' attitude to it.

This song is amazing. Lyrics, melody, and vocal wise. Hayley is a great singer, and Paramore is a perfect band.

I'ma just quote the best lines.

♫ If I'm a bad person, you don't like me.
Well I guess I'll make my own way.

Where's your gavel? Your jury?
What's my offense this time?
You're not a judge but, if you're gonna judge me,
Well, sentence me to another life.

Don't wanna hear your sad songs,
I don't wanna feel your pain.
When you swear it's all my fault,
'Cause you know we're not the same.
Oh we're not the same.

Ignorance is your new best friend.

Nirvana - Lithium

Been getting into a bit of Nirvana lately with a few purchases of Guitar hero games, but I'm afraid they're not going to grow onto me like Muse did since I see sooooooooooo much shit whenever I look for Nirvana songs. >_> lol

Anyway, I like the song a lot. It makes me laugh a bit at certain parts. Thinkin' about switchin' over to Smells like Teen Spirit or Heart Shaped Box in a few. Might even play some Heart-Shaped box.

Kingdom Hearts - Passion ~drive aura mix~

It starts off slow, the beat is the same for around the first minute, I like the way they haven't warped Utada's voice too much and that they haven't made it into club music. Definitely gets better after the half way mark mind, it has more of Utada in it and less of the beat. Pretty good remix overall.

I Will - Eternity Infinty

I love this song. It samples some sort of classic piece that's really familar to me, but the name escapes me at the moment, but it sounds really neat. The awesome combination of classical and pop works much better than I ever thought it would. Of course, I've come to expect the best from Jade and Geo, and have yet to be let down.

Here's my favorite part, the chorus:
Monday we break up
Then tuesday we're making up
By wednesday I'm convinced that I will marry
Thursday my doubts are sunk
But friday I'm getting drunk
It's Saturday and I can't wait cause I will marry you

Lady Gaga - I like it Rough

Awesome song. Very trippy music and the first part of the song is the best in my opinion. Very robotish voice and the beat really works you up to the song.

I love her references to sex in her songs. XD

I like it rough! :gasp:

The Better Way, by Brighten.

This song has a powerfull meaning behind it, and I like that. It's a simple song, but the first time I actually took time to read the lyrics, I got goosebumps 'cause the lyrics are so good, strong, and true.

♪ And I am war after ten years of fighting.
I am there after every time you hear bad news...
I am not a flame with seven years of lighting...
And I need you just like they do.

And I am windows breaking in the airplanes...
Where nothing comes out quite how it was meant to...
I am what you're feeling in your neckveins.

Did you get to feel him near?
Did you get too fond of losing sleep my dear...?

I am more invisible than you could ever be!
I am what you wanted and you're everything I need!
If you think I'm so terrible than you are not aware, see...
I'm better this way...

I am what you're feeling when you're nervous...
I am what you're hearing when you walk away...

But better music is giving me a purpose...
And we want this so bad...

You are the only thing that just might save me...
Oh the thought of it just makes me crazy...
Why did you have to be so persuading...?

You've got to get away...
You're running after your name...
I think i'll do the same...
And get you out of this town... ♫

Beyonce ft. Lady GaGa- Video Phone

Why must they have two so similar named songs? :gonk:Oh well. It doesn't really matter. I rather like Video Phone over Telephone because I'm more of a Beyonce fan than a Lady GaGa. Beyonce has a much more appealing voice to me than Miss Germanotta. It's really faithful to Beyonce's style of singing. However, Lady GaGa sings remarkably well here. Too well in fact.

That's Alright - Fleetwood Mac

This song's been stuck in my head for the past few days. I love how upbeat and happy it sounds despite the sad subject matter. Lovely vocals from Stevie Nicks on the song too, it's a very empowering song, one of those little gems hidden on an album :jess:

Nirvana - About a Girl (Unplugged)

From Nirvana's Unplugged in New York (I think) Album. Something just draws me to the unplugged versions of Nirvana's music. It's fun to rock out most of the time, but I guess it's also fun to sometimes be able to listen to some of their music and relax at the same time.

Cheryl Cole - Parachute
I'm a big fan of hers and Girls Aloud, but I'm not keen on the album. I do love this track though :) Simplistic lyrics but the chorus sticks in my head ^_^

Chris Brown Feat. Lil' Wayne & Swiss Beatz - I Can Transform Ya

This is an amazing comeback song for Chris Brown. Even though I despise what he did to Rihanna, it's such a brilliant song and I'm going to be listening to this for a while. Even Lil' Wayne ain't too bad here, he seems to pop up on a lot of songs lately lol. Loving the electric guitars in the background, giving it a futuristic sound.

December Avenue - Ears And Rhymes

This song is so...loving. It's my favorite out of all songs of December Avenue which is a local band here. I'm actually going to go out of my way to buy their CD (I don't buy CDs anymore) tomorrow. :gonk:

It puts it so perfectly how different what the eyes see once it's looking at someone you're in love with.

It breaks the silence
When you turn around
When the light shines your face
The more I'm becoming
The last one who's falling
Have I've been waiting for your love?

As we ignite, oh the fire grows
The wind can never blow
And your words in my ears, oh rhymes

Over and over, I'll love you so tender
Wrapped up in your arms, while staring at your eyes
Then I'll be over, when you are under
I want you to hold my hands and take this chance as free

Lady Gaga - Just Dance

It's nice to listen to this song when it isn't being played about everywhere. When it first came out it was so overplayed and I really didn't like it.

But now that the fandom of it has died down it's quite enjoyable and I don't feel like a loser for listening to it loudly in my car. XD

Lovely beat and the lyrics are pretty sweet.

Testimony - Sweetbox (feat.RJ)

I love the whole adiago cd, but this has got to be my favorite song. It's so inspirational and it almost sounds gospelly. The vocals are really good, and the lyrics are really catching. Even the rap sounds good. Jade and Geo do it again.

10/10

Kelly Clarkson- My Life Would Suck Without You

After a little argument with someone as to who is American Idol's best success story, I firmly stand behind Kelly Clarkson. I'm so glad this reached number 1 last year and I'm returning to her All I Ever Wanted album. She has one of the most powerful vocals in a singer I have ever heard and it's just impressive. This song by no means is easy to sing at all, and Kelly's voicebox marches through it amazingly.

10/10

Nirvana - Heart Shaped Box

Fun bit of a song to play, it's not difficult and the basic rhythm is easy enough to get down. Hoping maybe I can play and sing at the same time with it soon, but it's a lot easier said than done. :wacky:

Flag in the Ground (Symphonic version) - Sonata Arctica

The Days of Grays was my most anticipated album of the year, behind Dear Agony. I'm rather annoyed that the symphonic versions of the songs are the only ones that are worth listening to, but...oh, I love them so much, and this one is definetely my favourite~<3
