Everythings Explodin' - The Flaming Lips

I remember forums when you didn't have to write a god damn essay explaining what you're listening to.

First track on Oh my Gawd it's the flaming Lips. Reminds me of the early 90s, when indie music was actually indie music. Not the Arctic Monkeys, that's not indie.

that's awful.

Sash feat. Stunt - Raindrops

I love this song. It's so relaxing and I love the technoness of it. >.<

Great beat and although the lyrics aren't the greatest it flows nicely, which is good.

Lovely voice too.

Lyrical Lies, by PhillyPepper1000 (guy covering Cute Is What We Aim For, on YouTube).

Once again.

I found out this band broke up fairly recently. Kinda shitty all the good bands break up, thinking they're better in the music industry on their own.

Point being is they're not. The band is what makes them great.

Either way, loving the lyrics, as said in an earlier post. The whole flow of this song is really nice, and the tune definitely tops it. :)

Seize The Day - Avenged Sevenfold

This just came across my mind as I watched a television programme. The television programme was airing some singing competition in another country, and as I watched, I couldn't help but imagine myself to be one of the contestants. This came up as the item I performed in my imaginations.

Which further prompted me later on to listen to it. The later on being now, of course.

The title says it all. Seize The Day. Make the most out of your life. When I first listened, I liked its tune, and sound. Later, I went on to memorize the lyrics, and in the process, I read through it, and saw how the title came to be. It's not super inspiring, but I thought it definitely went well with it's planned title... As all songs should be...?

The Chain - Fleetwood Mac

I love the harmonizing in this song, it's much cleverer than I first realised, since I've only recently noticed the third singer coming in on the chorus. I love the lyrics, and the big guitar solo at the end is amazing. All three singers are on top form during this song, and the playing sounds amazing all round.

Sun Goes Down - David Jordan

I heard this track bout 2 years ago on a tram as someone had it as a ringtone. I never asked what it was, but from what I heard I loved it. The beat and tune reminds me of Nightmare Before Christmas lol. Then as a fluke it was on works radio and I went mad XD Fucking awesome tune!!

Uprising - Muse
Probably my favourite from the new album. The guitar line through it is really simple, yet really effective. I like how drum-heavy the song is too.

Soundbites from the upcoming Versailles album, which is finally going to be released next year. I'll probably order it right away, I want to here the complete songs! Hopefully it becomes a succes so there's a chance they'll play in Europe.

Bush - Head Full of ghosts

These are the days that are split down the middle
No words to calm me down
Be sure that what you dream of
Won't come to hunt you out

Where is my head
Where are my bones
Why are my days so far from home?
Ghost man

--- Classic Effin Song... God given man... I miss this shit.

10/10 Big time. Amazing Lyrics by an once amazing man.

Don't Stop me Now - Queen
It's always been one of my favourite songs, for years and years and years! (Though Bohemian Rhapsody is a master piece.) But I rewinded my love for it after seeing Shaun of the Dead a while back, if you've seen it, you know what I mean.

Queen and Zombies? NEED I SAY MORE?

Jealous Minds Think Alike, by You Me At Six.

Even though every damn website seems confused about the lyrics of this song, it's still a friggin' amazing song in my opinion.

I love the (confused) lyrics, but they all come down to the same thing.

Vocals, guitars, drums, really nice song. :ryan: Everything's all 'in your face for pulling this, you jackass.'

♫ You can be the ghost in my hall,
You can be the smile I don't want.
And I'll be the fly on your wall...

You could be the distance in between,
You could be everything I need,
You'll be the girl I don't call.

Jealous minds, think alike,
And you're a dent in time,
Wasting all my time,
You're only gone.

*Jealous minds, think alike,
and you're a damn damn tie,
Wasting all my time,
You are in love...* ♪

Speakerboxxx/The Love Below - Outkast

One of the best rap acts of the last decade or two effectively do two separate albums, one from each member. One CD of superior rap music, the other of the sort of funk that seeks to emulate the likes of Prince and pretty much succeeds. What's not to love? And it has the brilliant Hey Ya! on it.

Before He Cheats - Carrie Underwood

I chanced on this song whilst watching some singing competition. It was on the show I noticed the lyrics. The title had me thinking it was probably going to be some love ballad about some girl wanting to express more love 'before he cheats'.

Turned out it was to make the guy think twice 'before he cheats'! The tune sounded pretty average, compared to the lyrics. It was those lyrics that made me seek it out again.

"I dug my keys into the side

Of his pretty little souped-up four wheel drive.

Carved my name into his leather seat.

I took a Louisville Slugger to both headlights,

Slashed a hole in all four tires

And maybe next time he'll think before he cheats..."

Tinchy Stryder ft. Amelle - Sweet Dreams & Beat Again (Cover)

They're not word for word covers but they generally give off the same impression. Personally, I prefer these two singing them simply because it's different (not better, different). Although I think because it's a Radio 1 Live Lounge cover their voices aren't warped which I prefer. They do a solid cover though, Beat Again is probably the better cover. Violin player is epic! :D

Right now, i'm listening to I love college. by Asher Roth. The lyrics just make me chuckle... lmao. pretty funny song. I could listen to it like all the time I don't think i'll ever get tired of it XD. Good song imo. :-)

Kimi Ga iru Sayuri Sugawara. What can I say its a great song and I love it if only it was in the damn english version! Im still onna listen to kimi ga iru kara when XIII eng comes out because its such a beautiful song and I love it. Sayuri Sugawara is a really great singer.

Allegro, by Johann Sebastian Bach

Red House Painters - Revelation Big Sur

Their album "Rollercoaster" goes well with FFIX.

A little bit more effort please, guys. Check the first post of this thread for details.

Earthquake - Little Boots.

My girlfriend played this song while I was round her house the other night, and I've totally fell in love with it. I love the production, and the lyrics are really good. One of the best songs on her album, very catchy and it justifies all the hype around her, in my opinion.

I See You - Leona Lewis

Easily one of her better songs imo, the lyrics are very good and suit the film "Avatar" to perfection and I think she has more emotion in this song than she has does over some of her previous songs which is very good since she's vocally one of the best singers going when she puts emotion into her songs. I like the way the rhythm is determined through her vocals. Brilliant song. :)
