Training Grounds

((It's alright, it's just that I hardly get to ever finish rp battles with people))

"Wow, hun' i'm almost kind of insulted that you're not going full power on me."

Hudson took off so quickly, you could almost see the letters W-H-O-O-S-H-! trailing behind him. An attack like this didn't scare. Actually, it was starting to make his blood tingle. He was greatly looking forward to a long dance of blade and foot.

Believe it or not, he took off into the attack, deftly flipping to his side right side, using his left hand. He ran in a lunging charge, his blade scraping across the ground to create a line of sparks along the ground. Hudson stamped his right foot on the ground to leap into the air. From there, he twisted his body to the side, as he flew through the air. His blade, ready, he prepared to the clash.

As he headed back to the tent to watch the battle going on, Arthvader asked Shenorai a question.

Arthvader "Hm, Shen, you think it's okay I could have a battle against you?"

Zeria growled and spun, putting the pressure on her left ankle and swinging upwards to parry the blow.

"That's not even a fraction of what I have in store for you. That was only a test to see if you were worth my time"

She grinned devilishly as she pressed her blades harder against his.

"It seems I've chosen a worthy opponent"

"As have I..."

Hudson broke the clash, going into a semi-back bend before hitting the ground, and flipping about three or four feet back. He charged at her again, this time going with a lower sweeping slash, followed by a downward diagonal stroke. His attack were all a front, as it didn't really matter to him whether one of his strokes connected or not. He was just trying to get a feel for his opponenet.

... And prolong the tingly feeling from all the fighting.

Zeria did a simple backflip, avoiding being hit.

"Maybe I was wrong. You seemed to have given me false hope. I expected better after you charged me head on"

She threw 30 kunai and 18 shuriken at Hudson, then charging at him again and swinging her Hellfire Blade from the top and her Punisher from the left.

Shenorai glanced at Arthvader and looked about before she answered.

"...well, Vex over there looks like he's free to battle with. I'm just overseeing until Julius is finished. Then he can take over the supervision duties while I fight. Sounds fair enough, no?"

Arthvader "Ok then Shen, I'll wait until the fight is done. Let's just hope Julius dosen't use that spell he used against me the last time he fought me."

Arthvader then sat at the sidelines, waiting for several matches to end so he can battle Shenorai.

Lone Wolf leaped back in case Julius would try swiping at him whilst he was caught off guard...

Lone Wolf then smiled and lowered his sword. He then released the power of holy into his blade. Not a lot of MP was used, but enough to make the blades more powerful in attack.

Lone Wolf then raised his swords and swung them in a spiral and rushed towards Julius. The attack whilst rushing forward completly blocked any oncoming attacks because of the speed the blades were travelling at.

On the last second Lone Wolf used the momentum to swing the blades outwards and towards a seemingly defenceless Julius

"Damn...i was right...this IS fun"

Julius quickened his movement with grace and swiftness: in a blink of an eye he had placed his sword before himself, blocking both incoming attacks with one move. Julius was covered in sweat due to the heated battle, but he didn't show signs of fatigue. With the momentum caused by the shockwave created by the clashing swords, Julius bent his knees and chanted an ancient spell.

"Sphata de Lux!!!!"

Julius blade was infused with holy energy, shining violently like a thunderstorm consuming some of his magical energy. He used his sword to push Lone Wolf's blades away, hoping to knock him off balance. Without hesitating nor waiting if his previous attack caused the expected result, Julius swung his blade swiftly and wildly from left to right, gaining the momentum of the swing and aiming to Lone Wolf's torso.

"Hmmm... It's gonna' take more than a couple of your toys ta' get me, girlie!"

Hudson let his sword fly, cutting through the projectiles with deadly precision as he took a quick sliding step backwards. He focused his blade only on the ones that he thought were going to hit him. Dodging would take much too long until her blade strokes came.

It seemed to take but an instant or two. He was sure that nothing hit his vitals. He had dodged her twin blades with an esqquiva (capoeira dodge movement), followed by a a handstand. Pragmatically, he made the mmost of his time in that one-handed handstand by swinging at legs, and thrusting at her midsection. Pushingoff of his hand put him airborne long enough to right himself. Unfortunately, his coat was ripped and gashed up in several places.

"Hey! These were new threads!"

He was just a little bit miffed as he dashed forward, feinting and strafing from side to side. He opened up with a flying overhead slash, for a starter. There quite a few things that he had in mind.

Zeria's eyes went from viper yellow to a bright green.

"This isn't over yet!"

She hurled her Hellfire Blade at Hudson, then burst off in a wave of speed so fast, little apparitions of her remained. Her Punisher was at the ready, and she moved in closer and closer until she was in position to attack.

"Eat this!"

She performed a backflip and brought her sword down on Hudson's shoulder. She was going to disarm him before he did any damage to her physical being.

I am so.....bored!

FFGuy raises from his seat and walks out to the area where the fighters are training

I am taking on the next winner!

(Julius' Theme Song: Fur Elise from Ludwig Van Beethoven.")

After unleashing a flurry of swift sword movements, Julius jumped and landed a few meters away from Lone Wolf. A thick cloud of dust was lifted because of their constant battle, and it seems that it had made the visibility around Lone Wolf quite limited. Julius couldn't figure out if his opponent was knocked unconscious or if he was just hiding among the mist. Julius spun his rapier like a fan, finally stopping it's movement and letting it rest inside its sheath. He sighed and awaited for Lone Wolf's reaction.

"Come on. I can't believe you fell so quickly like that. I've expected much more from you."

Observing the fights going on FFGuy hoped that the one who wins first would not end up being too weak and exhausted, Julius seemed like a capable warrior and some others seemed to be drawing his gaze

"Give flesh to break bone..."

Why did those words come to mind now of all times? Hudson had expertly dodged her projectile attack with a master swipe, and had even succeeded in kicking it out of the air. It had landed in the distance with a loud thud, as it stuck deeply into the ground, blade first.

The second attack however, was more direct. With a moment to react, he shifted his weight and balance onto his left hand as he hopped into an au batido. It was enough to minimize the damge but still not enough to dodge it completely. He had however managed to throw up his right hand in this hand-stand position high enough to block the blow from taking his arm clean off.

His arm rang as blade crashed against blade. He had lost control of his right arm enough to drop his blade. on the ground.

"Give flesh to break bone..."

It had suddenly become clear to him.

"It seems to me that you're having a grand time dealing with me and my style. It's just that there's one thing that I haven't been quite open with you about..."

Said Hudson as he slight pointed and straightened his index finger and thumb, and pointing them at her and her newly exposed midsection. He had easily summoned up that swirling, tingling sensation within him that had quite literally made him himself. His left arm had tensed a bit, gripping the ground tightly for stability, his fingers spread far apart to maintain balance

"Golden Bullet!"

He had fired off two quick shots, two curiously destructive blasts of concentrated energy, pulling the the invisible trigger in his mind. The first was at at the openeing that she had made in her defenses when she attacked, while the other was aimed at her hand for retaliatory disarmrament.

The kickback from the shots had made him land in a bridge posture, which he quickly jumped out of. Now it was purely a hand to hand fight.

"I haven't had this much fun in a looong while ya' know."

"Fallen...???...Who said i had fallen"

Lone Wolf walked out of the reach of the think mist towards Julius, his sword drawn and in a guarded position. Lone Wolf glowed with a yellow and white aura. His shoulder was in pain because of attacks taken from Julius. He was a worth opponent in his oppinion.

Lone Wolf spotted Julius and raised his hand. A massive ball of thunder fired towards Julius. On impact an fair sized explosion was made. Lone Wolf didn't know if the attack had hit Julius because of the dense mist surrounding him. It had better have because the attck had drained about a fifth of his MP. It was worth it though to show Julius just a fraction of what he was capable of.

"This just gets better...doesn't it"

"This just gets better...doesn't it"

"But of course it does my friend!!!"

After the mist had dissipated, Julius was seen standing before Lone Wolf. His clothes were ragged and his armor had a few scratches. In front of Julius, there was a crater in which it seemed that Lone Wolf's spell has caused.

"And it seems this battle will end soon enough."

Julius rose his blade and aimed it to the ground. His blade began to glow with a dark reddish aura as its temperature intensified. Julius then struck the ground piercing it. Julius never lost track of Lone Wolf, and he remained smiling confidently while casting his spell.

"Sphatas Infernalis!!!!"

As soon as Julius finished his enchantment, the ground around Lone Wolf began to tremble. Soon 5 feet giant blades began to burst From within the earth numerous surrounding Lone Wolf. Julius pulled the sword from the ground and aimed it to Lone Wolf.

He ran towards Lone Wolf as the blades surrounding his opponent came from the ground and hovered all around Lone Wolf. The blades came rushing down as soon as Julius swung his blade upwardly, sending a powerful shock wave towards Lone Wolf.

"Oh shit..."

Lone Wolf was trapped...no denying it. before the attack wave hit, Lone Wolf quickly cast a protective shield around him. The attack still hit him, but reduced the intensity of the attack by a good bit.

"Ok, THAT was a cheap shot...fine. Have it your way my friend..."

After the blast wave had subsided, Lone Wolf drew fourth the power of thunder. Lone Wolf cast his 'Thunder Purge' move. Blasts of thunder bolts shot down from the sky and all headed towards Juilius.

With each impact there would be an explosion created that would inflict more damage on Julius. Another chunk of Lone Wolf's mp was used up, but he always had reserve magic stored in his gems encrusted in his sword and armour.

Lone Wolf stood before the total destruction that had been created. Julius was somewhere in a new mist that had been created by the numerous blasts from the thunder blasts.

"Oh shit....I bet that this will hurt....a lot....well...Summon Scutum!!!"

Though it was nearly too late to react, Julius summoned a magical wall that shielded his body against most of the attacks, still he was hit by some of them. Surprisingly, Julius survived that enormous flurry of lighting bolts. He was panting, all covered in dust and with his left arm sleeve all ragged. Julius rose his blade and swung it downwardly.

"This ends NOW..."

Using some of his last energy left, Julius infused his rapier of fire thus imbued, the sword burned with ferocious flames threatening to scorch anything in its path. Julius bent his knees and rushed towards Lone Wolf, and swung his blade in a downward arc aiming at Lone Wolf's shoulder. Seconds before the attack could land, Julius halted his attack, jumped to the left and dashed once again towards Lone Wolf. This time he unleashed a barrage of swift blows from all different angles, six in total the last one ending with a powerful frontal horizontal slash that made Julius land several feet behind Lone Wolf. Julius sheathed his sword and turned to see Lone Wolf, though he couldn't due to the amount of dust that surrounded this formidable opponent.

"I am not going to wait for you to make another miraculous appearance again."

Julius swung his blade diagonally from the left and then from the right forming an "X" shaped energy blast. The attack was sent violently to towards the clouds of dust that were supposedly enveloping Lone Wolf.

Zeria took the shots hard and leapt away, wincing and hitting the ground.

"Damnit...I left my guard open..."

She pulled out a kunai and used it to remove the bullets from her body, holding back cries of agony. Now she was pissed off. She drew out her cerberus guns and fired wildly, reloading every few seconds, then continuing her onslought. After her last 6 bullets were fired, she dashed forward, launching 28 shuriken and 13 kunai. Then, she whipped out her blades and performed her favorite attack. It was a series of 19 "Z" shaped blasts that would come right at him. The best part, no matter what, at least 3 would hit him.

"YOU'RE DONE FOR!"

((Careful now, we don't want to get too close to powerplaying or godmodding. Oh, and "golden bullet" is only the name of the energy-based attack. There's no real bullte or shell-casing. Other than that, well-played! Ihaven't had this much fun in a while!))

"My my, you still persist in underestimating my ability. Psus, you do kinda' need a good defense to balance to offence-"

It looked to Hudson as if he had pissed her off. That was good. Anger meant that she'd give it her all. Anger meant that this dance would be beautiful.

Well... until she started shooting at him!

He had had little- if any- time to react.

It's not easy defending yourself on an open battle ground. That isn't to say that it's completely and entirely impossible. Though speed, good relflexes and agility help too. Of course, another thing that helps is the fact that you're opponent is so over-encumbered by her own weaponry that she can't make a single movement without you noticing it from a mile away.

Seriously, there were just so many so-called "talented", "promising", and "prodigious" warriors out there in the world that Hudson himself marveled at the fact that any of them managed to get around without getting themselves and each other caught in their own or each other's weaponry.

She drew her gun...

Hudson took to the ground, using a macaco (monkey-esque back flip) or an esquiva (escape manuevers) movement here or there. He was twisting and controrting his body, utillizing his natural agility to save his skin.

She reloaded...

Hudson's eyes once again took notice of her guns. He wasn't dodging bullets (as the speed required to dodge one would be more than enough for the wind to rip the skin off of his, or anyone elses bones), but rather was the area and direction of which the guns were pointing.

She rushed forward...

He retreated backwards with a quick backwards-tuck. The poor guy barely had enough time to get a decent grip on his blade before she made another move.

She made her next attack...

"Seriously lady! Where in the hell do you keep all of those things, and how are you able to walk about without stabbing yourself!? Sheesh! I'd hate to share a room with you. It's probably gotta' take like, 3 hour just to take your gear off and get into your PJ's, and that's not even mentioning the noise!"

Hudson managed to blurt out that little spiel as he busily blocked and deflected her slightly-less deadly projectile weaponry. It was a lucky thing for him that it was all in sucession. Repetition of an action such as hurling projectiles -especially if they were a large number of shurikenand kunai knives meant thatthe probability of her hitting him had to increase. Right?

Either way,Hudson's defense was aided by the fact that he could see her reaching out and extending her hands to throw them, making them easier to deflect.

Her attack let up for a moment.

"Seriously lady! You mean to tell me that carrying all that stuff around doesn't bother you!?

But only for a moment.

He dashed forward, bouncing from side to side as she unleashed her volley of slash-blast waves at him. Defense was only necessary for for batting away the attacks that were going to hit him. Hudson was seriously hoping to close up the distance quickly as he moved in closer. That way, she wouldn't have of chance of hurting him without hurting herself.

But he was too slow. It was one of those "over-rev" moments and it seems that time is being slowed down because of an imminent catastrophe. His "tingling sensation" saved his skin though. Thanks to his "wild energy" he had managed to take the three sucessive blasts to the chest, which had merely knocked him back. The a special energy about him infused his body with wild amounts of power, taking him momentarily to another level of... hardcore-ness while having his body protected a shield made out of his asura of energy.

The blasts felt merely like a thump to his chest.

But since his energy was on, he had decided on using about six or seven seconds worth. He estimated that that should've been enough to leave her in a world of hurt.

And he was hoping so too.

"My turn..."

An almost mischievous, yet child-like grin spread across his face. He had been blasted by blades, lightly grazed by several gunshots, and scratched up by throwing knives. He was bleeding in several areas, and his clothes were becoming a bit too frayed and tattered. But he hadn't had a romp this good in a good while.

When she relented in her assault, Hudson descended upon her like a raging waterfall, striking with the ferocity of the king of beasts. "Wild energy" was an enhacnment ability mostly. His sword strokes could slice the side of a building in twane, his kicks and punches able to hit harder that freight trains. Being closer to her meant that he came in with a four second barrage of sword strokes. His body naturally, bent lower, allowing him to use more of his agility to push himself into a beija flor (one-handed handstand), whilst he kicked at her upside down.

"two more seconds"

He thought to himself. Coming down from his hand-stand made him kick the ground with his supporting foot hard, causing a large tremor which shook and destroyed much of the open ground upon impact. Twisting his hips around came next as he pushed off the ground with his right hand. Extending his left leg outward made him do do a powerful heel, which if it had done it's intended job, connect beautifully. If he had failed that, then the wind from the kick should've been more than enough to occupy her and buy him some time.

"Times up!"

He thought to himself again. He was really enjoying this."
