Where are you?

Ashe has just entered my party for good. Im 10 hours in and Im only level 13. Ive had a week off because I went home, so thats my excuse!
 
My main characters are level 60. I'm currently working my way through the side-quests.

As far as the main story goes, let's just say my next move is to take the Strahl and "board" something which resides not far from Rabanastre. If you've reached this point, you'll know what I'm talking about; if you've not, you'll go, "OMG!" when you get there. :P
 
I just started playing. I'm at the part where Vaan and Panelo go into the desert to find some boy.

I'm having a bit of trouble getting into this game. Please tell me the story picks up soon.
 
..It will do, give it some time. So just get used to trying out the gameplay. The story is there.
 
Only VIII had a love story... WHAT???
The others did not just 'have it in there'.

Okay, so FFVII started the craze for the love story with Aeris' post date death, and Vincents obsessed love for Lucrecia... but you are right that this is not the main story here.

But IX and X of course are love stories!

If anything, I would say that the Kuja plot is the B-Story of IX... there are so many Dagger/Zidane moments. And then you have Steiner and Beatrix who have a lot of moments too! Remember that IX does not end when you defeat that bad guy, but him chasing after garnet. Okay, so its a silly cliche romantic fantasy Aladdin esque story rough street kid falls for princess, but its still good.

And X... X has a lot to do with love. The only problem is that you get no sense that after the first kiss they are in any form of relationship or not, but still, the ending is heartwrenching because of the romance. Even the Jecht/Tidus is an emotional story at least.

FFX-2 is focussed alot on the absence of Tidus and love lost, (the dreams) which wouldnt be possible if FFX wasnt about love.

Even if FFVII isnt a love story, it is certainly emotional (in terms of the characters actually have them) which is severely lacking from FFXII
 
I got mine on the day of release, but I had my boyfriend round and had to leave it in my halls whilst I went home for a week. Plus Ive been given my deadline for university work. So Im not as far in as I had hoped.

Ive just fought Judge Ghis on the Dreadnought Leviathan. But Ive done quiet afew sidequests also.
 
Raithwall's Tomb. Kind of gave up on the game for the past month. Maybe I'll start back up this weekend
 
Ive just arrived at Archades, easy(ish) so far to be honest. a few tough ones out there, but im levelled up nicely

I have a baaaaad feeling about this fight. >.<
 
I've been trying to get a Ribbon lately in the Cerobi Steppe and junk, but it's harder than I thought. I keep going back to the save point after a restart and trying to do it that way (fastest way) and still no luck. I keep getting a buncha Gil, even with the Diamond Armlet on. Damn.
 
im very close to the lighthouse section...

but i have to say!

the zodiac spear looks soooo rubbish.. well dissapointed with that.. but overall?

no way!

it is soo powerful!

it took me like 6minutes to beat a average good boss before..

now it takes me under a minute!!!
